  1. it makes me feel like i want to die I feel like this video perfectly explains it, and what a coincidence that the creator posted right above me
  2. lariamu is a bad idea

  3. Well, no, 0.2 was supposed to be the length of one KH3 world but as time went on, even Nomura stated that it was much bigger than he had originally intended/thought. Meaning no, one KH3 world may not be as long as you thought.
  4. Well, there you go, people, those 'delayed' jokes you're making are the reason you haven't gotten KH3 yet.
  5. I was just about to post this, but I'm glad someone else got to it much earlier lol I agree entirely with BB's video, and I feel bad for the people who have to put up with that "cuz you're not a real fan, you're a SPEEEEEDRUNNER" BS.
  6. I doubt it's gonna get that dark, like ever lol I'm sure Nomura means that it'll be thematically darker, not "Sora witnesses Xehanort possess Woody and kill Goofy", haha
  7. You can blame the inner workings of Square, the engine switch, and the fans' overwhelming amount of "WHERE'S KH3" and "trollmura lol" for that. After the engine switch, the game's real development time after release will only have been about 3 years, which is enough for plenty of worlds but not nearly as much as KH2 considering the depth of them. Though it's an unpopular opinion, I'm personally hoping for a significant delay before release to hopefully add more worlds and/or refine the combat so that it plays better (not that it doesn't look good already, but it could improve).
  8. Hey, guys! It's been a pretty long time since I posted anything at all in this subforum. I had this idea in my head for a long time, and I had the sudden urge to just write about it. The premise isn't that original, as it deals with fictional characters being brought to the real world although I want to make it play out differently than a lot of other stories/shows out there. As for anyone who ever cared/read about Path of Darkness, I've canned it. I decided there were too many inconsistencies with the main plot of KH Union X/Back Cover for me to continue the story the way it was. I'm going to wait for that chapter to end before I ever continue that, or maybe even reboot it since I think a majority of the story was rushed (ironic considering I went on long hiatuses) and bad. Without any further delay, I guess I'll just start it up. Prologue Please...listen to my story. Well, I guess it's more like the intersection of multiple stories at once. At first, I had no idea how it came to be. Everything had just happened so quickly and unexpectedly. Yet, by the time it was over, it felt like things had never been different in the first place. The only thing I remember feeling at the beginning was...emptiness. As the lights flashed on, everything fell silent. The stars were out, marking the presence of a new night to relax through. The hum of a PlayStation 4's cooler was all that was heard throughout the room. The blinds were down, so that the owner's privacy would never be invaded (just in case). The vent for his house's air conditioning was rusted up, preventing the cool air from traveling through the rooms. To alleviate this issue, the owner's mother bought him a portable air conditioner and connected the tubes to his window. Now, it sits in his room, operating at 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The owner sighed and fell flat on his bed, a king-sized mess with brown sheets crumpled up and scattered across the mattress, haphazardly put together. The pillows, oddly enough, remained in place where they should be (although they had no covers, leaving them exposed). The cardboard box for a gaming keyboard the room's owner ordered lies on the floor, next to his bed still half-open. The owner was a boy, around seventeen years old, and not quite grown up. He had messy dark brown hair, as he never combed his hair (or never even knew how to). His brown eyes stared at the light above him, as he pondered his day and life in general. His clothes are nothing special; he's only wearing a blue t-shirt and white shorts. He's growing a belly, but he's still fairly skinny and light for his age. "Man...another useless day at school." He rolled over on the bed and picked up the controller that sat next to him, firmly placed on the bed. "Guess I should be happy summer vacation's coming." Immediately, he navigated the PlayStation 4's menu and opened up Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX to play KH2FM. He had just gotten to the final boss, but had to put the PS4 in Rest Mode. Thankfully, the console saved his place in the fight. He had gone through the fight multiple times already, so he knew what he was in for. He knew that the 2.5 version of the fight was broken, as the Reaction Commands at the start of the fight did not work sometimes. He vehemently wished that Square Enix would fix this. "Sora!" "Riku!" Finally. Not only had he finished the game, but he had also just finished a Platinum run of the game, something he felt proud of. The ending animation played out more or less the same. Or so he thought. A blinding light began to emanate from the distant horizon. It came closer and closer to Destiny Islands before the characters were eventually engulfed by it. "That's...not normal. Secret ending, I guess? Did they patch it in?" Knowing immediately what he should do, he jumped over to his computer chair and Googled it on the computer that he had built himself. No relevant results came up. Neither KH13 nor KHInsider seemed to have the info he was looking for. "Kairi?! Riku?! Donald! Goofy! Your Majesty!" cried out a voice behind the boy. "WHAT THE..." The boy turned around and saw none other than the spiky-haired hero from Kingdom Hearts: Sora. "Caius! Keep it down up there! Also, be down in a couple of minutes, food's almost ready!" yelled the boy's mother from downstairs. Caius, not taking his eyes off Sora, replied in the most casual voice he could muster, "U-Um, yeah, that's fine, Mom!" Sora ran up and grabbed the boy's shoulders. "Please! Tell me where Riku and Kairi are!" Caius, still shaken by the turn of events, shakily replied, "I...u-um...they're...ehhh...you're not a cosplayer, are you? H-How did you get in?" By that point, I was swimming in my thoughts. I still couldn't possibly fathom that the real Sora was warped into my realm somehow. Who could blame me? I was scared; I thought that maybe this was just some costumed freak that broke into my home. At the same time, though...there was this tiny spark of curiosity in me. "What are you talking about? Cosplayer? I just need to find my friends, please!" Sora said loudly, a bit calmer than before. Caius gripped Sora's arms and pushed them off his shoulders instinctively. "Look, okay...I don't know who you are, but you need to leave. I don't know where your friends are, and I don't know why you're here in the first place. If you come any closer, I'm calling the police." Sora gulped and took his most respectful pose, in order to not upset Caius further. "Sorry! U-Um, my name's Sora! I'm looking for my friends, Riku and Kairi! Oh, uh...also, Donald, Goofy, and a King Mickey!" That's odd, I thought. Now that he mentions it, when the scene in KH2FM ended, the light engulfed all of the characters in the scene; including all of the characters this supposed Sora had mentioned. "Okay...so, suppose your name is Sora...prove it to me. Summon your Keyblade," said Caius, still alarmed by Sora's sudden appearance. Sora jumped back in surprise. "Wha...how do you know about the Keyblade?!" Caius motioned for Sora to calm down, realizing the confusion of what he just said. "Calm down, I'm not a bad guy or anything. I just happen to know about it. I'll explain later, if you summon it." Sora, not entirely trusting Caius, reluctantly agreed. He held his hand out to his side and closed his eyes. In a flash of light, the Keyblade materialized in his hand. Caius's eyes widened. He couldn't believe it. At that point, I was entirely convinced. It may have just been that I wanted it to be true, but I saw no other possibility in my head other than "this is the real Sora." "Caius! Dinner's ready? Caius?" Caius balled his hands into fists. "Oh, man...hey, Sora, are you hungry?" Sora felt his stomach. "I did just beat down a really powerful guy...I guess I am." Caius grit his teeth, thinking about what to do. "Okay, Sora. Do me a favor. Hide in that closet for now until I come back upstairs with food. If it's me, I'll knock three times in a row on the door." Sora, having no choice but to trust Caius, nodded and entered the closet door. Caius closed the door behind him and took a big sigh. "Welp...at least Sora's finally getting dinner."
  9. Here's a new video from Soraalam1, talking about the expectations of fans regarding KH3's development progress and other things related to the game. It's very informal, so I highly recommend you watch the video even if you think you know everything about the development cycle.
  10. If you wanted KH3 to be complete and perfect, you wouldn't exactly be asking Square to rush Nomura. lol You talk as if he hasn't made any progress at all, but it's clear that the team's definitely made an amount of progress through the screenshots and trailers we've seen. I'm more than content with waiting until even 2019 or 2020, even if I'll be extremely old by then. For now, we'll just have to let Nomura do his thing because if someone like Hajime Tabata started directing the series by himself, it wouldn't be Kingdom Hearts anymore.
  11. The Demon Tide's enemy type isn't exclusive to Kingdom Hearts. By that logic, Sharknado is a reference to Demon Tide's second phase, lol
  12. Upon looking at the Japanese PlayStation site, it appears that the 1.5 + 2.5 page has updated with a screenshot of the new selection screen. You can view it below. Source: http://www.jp.playstation.com/software/title/pljm84068.html It seems that this is the official screen, since it's from the official PlayStation site. I find it interesting, and also a lot more pleasant to look at than the original screens.
  13. Well, you know, winter is a season, not a month. lol I don't know why people consistently jump to "December" automatically when something says "winter." Sure, it's a landmark of winter but it does not, by any means, encompass it at all. Nomura has said countless times we'll get news after 2.8, so as Square says, please be patient.
  14. I mean, I'm sure early 2000's kids remember both Sailor Moon and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air too. lol
  15. Here's a video from Dean (Soraalam1) discussing the new PS4 versions of 1.5 and 2.5, as well as why they're good things and (shocker, right) not impeding KH3's release.
  16. "Could" is not an excuse to put an unconfirmed game on an article called "43 Big Games Coming In 2017." Did I ever say there could only be one game a year? That's irrelevant. 2.8 and 1.5 + 2.5 are coming out next year, so that argument could very well be false. I don't need to know its current status to say that nobody confirmed it to be a 2017 release. Whatever Nomura and his team are doing is their business, and nobody here is making educated guesses but IGN. I understand it would be a fair "assumption," but that's not at all what the article was about. It is an article about games that are for sure to come in 2017. KH3 isn't the only game they got wrong; God of War and Spider-Man were on that list, both games that are not confirmed for 2017. If you want to go ahead and call me an "Annoying KH Fan," I've got no problem with that but you have to at least agree that IGN isn't exactly being a very trustworthy news source at this point.
  17. I have no problem with opinions from IGN. I could care less about their whole "Roxas is a garbage character" ordeal, and I think people blew that our of proportion. However, when you put Kingdom Hearts III on a list of games that you say are coming out in 2017, that's false reporting which will mislead many of the more casual side of the fanbase that doesn't really check sites like this. This is a more serious problem that can't be allowed to happen again. You can call it witch hunting, but this time they deserve whatever backlash they get. It's not a matter of an opinion that one staff member had, it's an article that reported false information that other people can take the wrong way. I wouldn't be surprised if I started seeing people say that KH3 was supposed to be out in 2017 "because IGN said so."

  19. When he said "more news tomorrow at noon," he was talking about in Japan time. By the time the trailer was posted, it was late at night in Japan and he said noon in Japan time which was 10:00 PM EST for us. The new announcements were already posted on Twitter. At least, that's what I think.
  20. This looks pretty cool. Too bad December 22, 2011 already passed though. I assume a mistake with Google Translate, hehe.
  21. If you're talking about Carbuncle, he unfortunately can only be summoned in Easy mode. He typically comes automatically to restore your health when you're running low.
  22. Wow, I finally wrote another chapter of my story. At the pace I'm going, it might as well be like the Hunter x Hunter manga. lol

  23. Chapter 21: Resolve "...Today's the day." The words echoed in Kako's head as Katharos's memories grew blurrier. The last thing he saw before the vision abruptly ended was Katharos being plunged into a heart-shaped moon. As the moon's light grew brighter and brighter, the vision faded away. Kako's consciousness was back inside his heart. "Wait...what? N-No, you can't do that. I still don't have the answers I need!" Katharos looked down, ashamed of what had just happened. "I'm...sorry. That's all I can recollect for now. Yurei's regaining influence...it's affecting what remains of my heart." Kako clutched at his heart, which suddenly hurt much more than it did moments ago. "YOU CAN'T HIDE, KATHAROS! WHERE ARE YOU?! I'LL RIP YOUR HEART TO SHREDS!! AND YOU TOO, KAKO!! YOU'RE ALWAYS IN THE WAY!!" Katharos sighed. "And there he is..." Suddenly, a dark figure materialized in front of the two beings. One half of the figure looked like Kako, while the other looked like Katharos. It was Yurei. "You...YOU!!! Why don't you just VANISH?!!" Yurei held out his hand, almost longingly. Kako stared at him while Yurei angrily approached. "...No, Yurei. No matter how close you came...I'm not going to be fooled now. Katharos made sure of that. Until I find the answers I need...you're not laying a finger on my heart." Kako glowed brighter, as if fighting Yurei's control. Growling, Yurei angrily obliged. "That light's protecting you now...but the moment you let your guard down is the moment I strike...remember that, puppet." Soon after, Yurei vanished. Kako took a deep breath, then turned to Katharos. "I'm not forgiving you for what you did to my heart. But for now, I'll let you off the hook. We can pick up where we left off once you remember enough." Katharos nodded and started crystallizing into light. "Farewell for now...Kako." He turned into light and dissolved back into Kako's heart. (End Song 1 Here) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kako...Kako... "Kako!" Kako woke up with a start, rubbing his throbbing head. Sitting next to him was Eraqus. "...Eraqus." Eraqus sighed, looking down. "Did you...do that of your own accord?" Kako looked away. "...No. But, I might have regardless..." Eraqus stood up. "I understand your feelings, but you must think deeper. You know what you are. You know what's inside you. If something goes wrong, it could be catastrophic. I had no choice." Kako was silent. He didn't feel like talking to Eraqus. "...Where's Aqua?" Eraqus clenched his fists. "I see...fine, I'll get Aqua for you." Eraqus turned away and headed towards Aqua. Kako sat up, taking another breath, and buried his face in his hands. What was even happening anymore? Is Eraqus on his side or not? Who can he trust? Maybe...I'll have to face Xehanort on my own after all...I can't put Aqua and Terra in danger...I can't trust Eraqus...I doubt that even if I could find him again that Yen Sid could do anything at all. Aqua walked into the room. "Kako! Thank goodness you're alright..." She rushed to his bedside, happy that he was doing well. Kako rubbed his eyes. "Yeah, thank goodness alright...do you know what happened while I was out?" Aqua tried to remember. "Well...as soon as Terra heard the racket, he ran over to the Master's aid and put you out of commission...I guess you didn't even notice, huh? I...wasn't there to help, though. I was out at the market." Kako was surprised. "Really? What for?" Aqua, a little embarrassed, held out a keychain with a smiley face on it. "I knew that not a lot was going right for you...I wanted to be able to put a smile on your face, since you always seem so down." Kako stared at the keychain, speechless from Aqua's act. "I...thank you...Aqua." He took the keychain and placed it in his lap. Aqua tapped on Kako's shoulder. "Hey. You know you can put that on your Keyblade, right?" "O-Oh," said Kako in confusion. He summoned his Keyblade and connected the keychain. Suddenly, it started to transform, bright light surrounding it and covering it. When the light disappeared, his Keyblade was yellow with a light shining at the end. The hilt had 'Don't Give Up' engraved on it. "Did you...write this, Aqua?" Aqua nodded happily. For the first time in a while, Kako smiled. "Wow...I don't know what to say." Aqua's face lit up. "That's all I wanted. A smile." Aqua placed her hands in her pocket, taking a bracelet out. It was silver with a bear symbol on it. "This is from Terra. I don't know what he had in mind when he got it for you, but...you should wear it." She held Kako's arm and placed the bracelet on it. "I guess you guys are paying me back, huh?" said Kako with a more cheerful tone. Aqua nodded and pulled Kako into an embrace. Kako blushed a little and said, "Whoa, uh...a little more affectionate of a get well visit than I expected." I kinda like it though, not gonna lie... Aqua broke away and said, "Well, you did almost die...again. I just hope something like that doesn't need to happen to you again." Suddenly, Kako's mood dropped again. He felt guilty about what he was about to say, but he had to. "Well...about that, Aqua...I think I'm going to leave." ".....What?" "I'm going to leave, Aqua. I need to face what I was running from." Aqua struggled to find the words. "But, Kako, you have us...we can fight it together." Kako shook his head. "I can't drag you into this." Aqua was almost shaking in fury now. "W-Why not?! Why are you suddenly leaving after we got so attached to you?! Why can't you bring us?!" Kako looked down. "...I've seen what he can do...and I'm afraid of what I might do." Aqua grabbed Kako's shoulders. "Who? Kako, please!" Kako gently grabbed Aqua's arms and took them off his shoulders. "I'm sorry, Aqua...I can't." Aqua stayed silent for a moment. "Then I'll have to stop you." Immediately, Kako knew he had to act fast. He pulled Aqua in for another embrace. "I'm sorry, Aqua." He placed the palm of his hand quickly on Aqua's forehead and used a spell he had learned. "Sleep." "Ka...ko..." Aqua muttered as she fell into a deep sleep in his arms. Kako softly placed Aqua on the bed he was on and he opened the window. He turned back for a second, looking at Aqua. "Aqua, I..." His voice trailed off. "I'm sorry." He dropped out of the window.
