Please review the rules and post your character sheet. Thanks! This RP was inspired by Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, and Once Upon a Time. After Vanitas enacted a curse, all characters--villains and heroes alike--were sent to the real world where they lived new lives, without even a single memory of their past selves. It all started when the heroes were trying to prevent Ultimecia from casting this curse, leading them to break into her castle . . . . “Is this it?” Lightning bent over and examined a scroll tied with a red ribbon on a pedestal in Ultimecia’s tower. The wind roared around them, blowing the curtains rapidly, the dim gray sunset casting whatever little light existed within the room. Locke walked over to her, taking the tiny scroll from her hands and examining it. Eventually he nodded. “It must be. Yen Sid told us that it would be here.” “But what do we do with it?” Lightning inquired. But before Locke could answer, the doors to the tower burst open, and in strode Ultimecia. The tall woman’s eyes casually swept the room, meeting the two heroes’ gazes unflinchingly. “Well, well,” she said, drawling, “it looks like the savior and the treasure hunter failed their friends after all. You didn’t expect me already, did you?” Both Lightning and Locke looked at each other. The scroll remained in Locke’s fist, but there was no use hiding it: Ultimecia already knew it was there. The sorceress sent Lightning flying into a wall with an aerial spell as she proceeded on to the poor thief. “Now then, I will give you options.” She looked mercilessly into his eyes, her cold ones bearing down into his. “Either you can give me the scroll without a fight, or I could kill that one first”--she smiled ruefully--”whichever calls out to you most.” “Think again, lady!” Locke let out a rattled breath of relief, looking over Ultimecia’s shoulder. She whipped around to see Ventus, grinning widely, the mini scroll clenched in his fist. The woman rose, turning to Ventus stonily. “Be careful with that, boy. You’re meddling in very dark magic that you don’t know how to control.” “Well, lucky for you”--the boy’s grin widened, and for a moment his eyes flickered golden--”I actually do know how to use this dark magic. And unlike these dufuses, I’m not afraid to use it.” Suddenly everyone’s heart sank within the room. Lightning slowly rose, groaning as she extended a hand toward their ally. “Ven--” The boy laughed, a merciless cold laugh that sent chills down her spine. “Guess what, Light? I’m not Ven. I never was. It was all too easy to use you guys to get me into this place, and now, now I have what I want.” He tore off the red ribbon and unrolled the scroll, his eyes skimming it longingly. “Now I finally get to go home.” “Not how you think!” Ultimecia shouted. “It’s darker than you could even imagine. It will take you to that world, yes, but you will lose everything to do it.” Again the boy smiled, shaking his head. “That’s the point: I don’t have anything to lose.” With that, he unrolled the scroll and blew on it, sending its words off the page and into the room. A cloud of smoke infiltrated the air, and for a moment all was perfectly still. But only for a brief moment, before chaos struck. The winds picked up, almost to the point that it caused the Ven-look-alike to lose his balance. It threw Locke off his feet and knocked Lightning back into the wall, now unconscious. “What’s happening?!” Locke demanded, glaring from the boy to Ultimecia. The sorceress clutched her chest, eyes downcast and breathing hard. “Everything . . . will be stripped of us. Our homes, our memories. Everything that matters.” Before another word could be uttered, a clap of thunder roared, and this is where you are, and where you’ve been for as long as you can remember: Destiny Beach. You live in a city located alongside the coast of Florida. You’ve been here for as long as you can remember, and you cannot remember a thing beforehand. However, you don’t even notice that you don’t remember, nor do you care. Everything is how it’s always been, and magic is nothing more than a fantasy. Some of you are now doctors, shopkeepers, secretaries, teachers, and some of you still can’t find your place in the world. Everything stayed this way for a time, until the boy who could unlock the secret--and the spell--arrives on Destiny Beach. For a few rules: 1.) No Godmodding (this includes controlling or killing another person's character) 2.) No speedhacking (don't land blows on another person's character until they respond, et cetera) 3.) Follow the RP rules and guidelines stickied to this forum 4.) No duplicate characters (meaning two people can’t be Sora, et cetera) 5.) Pairings and romance are fine, but no yaoi or yuri, please 6.) Keep everything PG-13. I can understand some swearing and violence every now and again, but no explicit scenes, gore, sexual themes, or language that needs this @#$%! done to it. : P 7.) Please be sure that your posts contain a minimum of four lines. I won’t bite anyone if they do it once in a while, but short posts are difficult to work with and it means more work for the other players communicating with that player. Now, for the characters: you may choose up to three Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts characters, provided that they play a significant role in the series (like, well, don’t choose the unnamed bartender) and that they aren’t already taken. As character roles fill I will be listing them in this main thread here, so please be sure to refer to it before creating any character sheets. There will be some special roles for certain characters that I will outline and guide through the RP (Sora, Vanitas, Lightning, Ventus, Locke, and Ultimecia, to name a few), but beyond that it’s pretty free reign. The song does sounds pretty hype. Also, this is not exactly a full version. There's a event of Ariana Grande in the game where she's playable character (of course, you have to complete the first mission to get her.). Is it weird that I actually like the song? Plot: The war of the gods has begun. The warriors of Chaos have clashed with the warriors of Cosmos at the swamp town of Melmond, igniting their conflict. History has turned one way on this battle. Now history turns again. A warrior is captured and turned. One army faces a friend. The other takes in a foe. The cycle turns on itself. The war of the gods has changed. RULES! 1 ) I'll allow all Final Fantasy/Kingdom Hearts/Square characters, OC characters and select guest characters (message me and okay it with me first BEFORE YOU POST. If you want a guest character, MAKE SURE IT FITS EITHER THE FINAL FANTASY OR KINGDOM HEARTS THEME i.e. Fire Emblem, Legend of Zelda, Ye olde fantasy, let's get some interesting crossovers going down.) 2 ) Normal KH13 RP rules 3 ) No god modding. Any character can die. 4 ) There will be combat. You will not be able to avoid having your character getting into a fight. 5 ) No killing other RPers characters without permission 6 ) No controlling other peoples characters without permission 7 ) Swearing is fine, but in moderation 8 ) The limit on characters is five. Two Cosmos, two Chaos, and one Neutral. 9 ) Neutral characters either don't follow their god/goddess (In this, you'll have to put "Cosmos/Neutral" or "Chaos/Neutral" in your entry form) or exist outside of the world but have entered it anyway (time travel, Gummi Ship, etc.). 10 ) I'd prefer it if all had one hero and one villain to oppose each other, but if we can't get equal numbers, I won't force it. 11 ) I'd like to try to keep this RP as a turn-based one (you post, then wait for everyone else to follow it up before you post again). However, I will waive this if it's a one-on-one deal (two characters shooting the breeze or two characters fighting without anyone else interfering) 12 ) Label your posts with character names and where the character is just so we don't have to worry about any sort of confusion. 13 ) Limit Breaks are acceptable in battles, but you cannot use it twice in one battle and can only use the Limit Break again after three pages. 14 ) We'll be starting this RP reboot on October 26/27th. 15 ) To show me that you have read the rules, type a superhero's alternate identity below your entry form. Here are my first characters: Name: Johnny Mercer Original Appearance: Dividing Lines (OC) Side: Originally Cosmos (hint hint) Weapon: Excalibur, an ancient greatsword with the ability to transform into other weapons and potentially vehicles. Excalibur, like its legendary counterpart, is made of an unbreakable metal, insuring it never loses its power. Appearance: Johnny is a twenty-three year-old with a height of 6'2". Brown hair, blue-green eyes. He wears a black t-shirt and black jeans. He also wears two gloves with cables built into the wrists for grappling and black combat boots with built-in technology allowing him to access the Flow, enabling him to become more agile and move incredibly fast. Bio: Once a member of the Knights of the Order opposing the tyrannical Union of Territories, Johnny was cast into the world below, where he met Jennifer Noyak, the love of his life. Together, the two fought the Union as they searched for his father, who assisted him in destroying the Union once and for all. Then, being captured by a time traveler, Johnny entered a strange corner of the world where he fought against the machinations of the time traveler. He now finds himself drifting across time and space. Special Abilities: Johnny can tap into other people's memories to copy techniques or to force them to remember something, potentially causing extreme mental anguish. Using the Flow, Johnny can move at an accelerated rate. Notes: Johnny is also accompanied by a fairy named Taybor, who is able to cast various Magicks. Limit Break: Total Synch! Johnny uses the strength of his father and the abilities of his friends Luke, Arlene and Jenn to assault his enemy with an onslaught of attacks. Name: Garland Original Appearance: Final Fantasy Side: Chaos Weapon: Garland wields a greatsword. In addition, he can summon an ax and a lance as additional weapons. Appearance: Bio: Formerly the greatest knight in Cornelia, now a servant of Chaos. Garland is destined to one day become Chaos in his own world, but now acts as this Chaos' guide. Special Abilities: Garland can channel the abilities of the Four Elemental Lords, as well as limited access to Chaos' power. Notes: In his world, Garland was sent back in time to become the Chaos of his world. As such, he has access to some powers that Dissidia!Chaos does not. Limit Break: SOUL OF CHAOS! Garland brings forth his might of Chaos to smite down his foes! (I know I changed things from Dissidia!Garland, but I want to have my own beast to play around with.) Name: Terra Original Appearance: Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Side: Chaos/Neutral Weapon: Terra uses his Ends of the Earth Keyblade. Appearance: Bio: A Keyblade apprentice, Terra failed his Mark of Mastery exam after giving into the darkness in his heart. Terra was then sent to various worlds to fight the Unversed threat and find Master Xehanort. However, after finding Xehanort, Terra found himself even more steeped in darkness than before. After losing his body to Xehanort, Terra finds himself in the war of the gods, fighting for Chaos as he has great darkness inside him. Special Abilities:Terra can transform his Keyblade into various other weapons, as well as a glider. Terra also has access to a suit of armor, giving him advanced protection, especially against darkness. Notes: (Anything that doesn't fit above that you think we should know about this character?) Limit Break: RAGE AWAKENED! (Everything up until 0:16)

After watching every trailer of World of Final Fantasy, I assumed that Hynden Walch (Starfire, Viridi, Bonnibel Bubblegum, etc.) is going to voice a major character for this game. But after looking at the character list on its TV Tropes page, I seem to be wrong. So apparently, Square Enix hired a voice actress that has a really good impersonation of Hynden Walch. I haven't played the game yet, by the way.

Due to the inclusion of the world ends with you characters in KH3D, being the first non final fantasy, disney or original KH characters in the series, it got me thinking what other series i would like to see in the future if they chose to go this route. it's entirely possible for more series to join especially as we start to run out of Disney worlds.The way i see this going down is it could happen if Xehanort was to win the final the battle at the conclusion of KH3, splitting the worlds up again allowing for pixar films and other square franchises to be apart of the KH series from the games to follow. pretty sho' that is already a theory in itself. But i would love to see cameos of the likes of Ringabell and Edea from Bravely Default having there own little side story in Hollow Bastion. However, I understand people wanting to keep the series away from all that stuff, it's just a thought. What possible Square Enix characters would you like to see in future kingdom hearts games?

Square Enix have announced that Final Fantasy XII is getting remastered for PS4 and will be released worldwide in 2017. The game will be a remaster of the Final Fantasy XII International Zodiac Job System which was originally exclusive to Japan in 2007. I have always been a huge fan of Square. I've loved almost every game in the Final Fantasy series and enjoy many of their other titles in like (Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Secret of Mana, et cetera). While I certainly do enjoy a game chock-full of cutscenes and high-def graphics, there is something that I genuinely miss about the old-school games and the old RPGs that Square used to produce. I know technology is advancing and everyone is moving toward newer, better graphics and more cinematics, but does anyone else miss the classics? Would you really enjoy seeing a new Final Fantasy game made in 8-bit graphics with a quality storyline and a lot of the other simplicities that made the older Square games just phenomenal? Perhaps I'm alone here, but I greatly miss the old style RPGs and would absolutely love it if Square would make a new RPG with an older flair, even for a throwback anniversary title or something. This trailer, though old, made me further realize how much I would love another 8-bit Final Fantasy game. Square Enix made it as a trailer for Lightning Returns, recapping the previous two games in the XIII trilogy. Personally I think I would've enjoyed Final Fantasy XIII so much more had it been like this example. Does anyone else desire an older style Square RPG, or do I just miss the past all too much? : P

Square Enix has just finished their income presentation, and during this announced the Japanese developer and publisher that neither Kingodm Hearts III or Final Fantasy VII: Remake will be released until April 2017. The publisher published a list of their major releases coming this year, and World of Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and PS4 version of Rise of the Tomb Raider appears all on this list. Both Kindom Hearts III and Final Fantasy VII: Remake is absent, as is Nier: Automata previously otherwise have been dated to 2016 good news to all here in kh13 i have translate it in english so all can understand i translate it from gamereactor

I never understood this. Why is Hercules the only Disney world with that distinction? For instance, Vincent Valentine would have been a perfect fit for The Nightmare Before Christmas. Does anybody have any guesses or ideas as to why this is?

Who do you think will die in KH3 and who do you want to die in KH3? Aside from the obvious villains who will most likely die, I don't want any of the good characters to die, but I think it would be a great way to bring more emotion to the game and to make Sora and the gang more serious and pull their act together. For example, I think it'd be interesting to see Aerith die. Since she is a different person than she is in Final Fantasy, I don't think the person who kills her should be Sephiroth, I think it should be one of the Seekers of Darkness. Perhaps while at Radiant Garden, Sora, Donald, Goofy, Leon, Yuffie, etc all run outside and see Aerith be struck in the heart by Young Xehanort or something. I think it would bring more depth to all the characters in that scene, because we would be able to see the emotional side of Leon and the other FF characters. It would also show how ruthless and evil Young Xehanort and the Seekers of Darkness are. What are your thoughts on this and who do you think will die in KH3?
