  2. All single-player Final Fantasy games on Steam list Steam Cloud except for Final Fantasy VII which is odd considering Final Fantasy VII has been supporting cloud saves on PC since it's re-release in 2012. So I asked Square Enix Europe to clear it up. Square Enix explained Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2 use Steam's Cloud for storing save files while Final Fantasy VII uses Square Enix's very own cloud service. This makes a lot of sense since VII was originally released as a download from Square Enix's online stores unlike the others and as a result the save files would have to have been transferred from Square Enix's cloud to Steam's cloud. I'm no expert, but that sounds like a bit of work, if it's even possible.
  3. The following DLC tracks have been released worldwide for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call this week. Each track will be priced at $0.99. Available Today: Battle Music Sequence (BMS) “Liberi Fatali” (FINAL FANTASY VIII) “Final Confrontation” (Romancing SaGa® 3) “World Revolution” (CHRONO TRIGGER) “Twister” (THE WORLD ENDS WITH YOU) Field Music Sequence (FMS) “Wind Scene” (CHRONO TRIGGER) “Calling” (THE WORLD ENDS WITH YOU) More add-on tracks are planned to arrive on February 19, 2015.
  4. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII has now sold 1.01 million copies worldwide on PlayStation 3 alone not including digital. On Xbox 360 it has sold 0.22 million copies worldwide not including digital. That's a combined 1.23 million copies worldwide not including digital. And with the PC port coming in a few months it'll make Square Enix even more money going by the impressive sales of Final Fantasy XIII on Steam. Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster has now sold 1.19 million copies worldwide on PS3 and 0.68 million copies worldwide on PS Vita. That's a combined 1.87 million copies worldwide. Again, not including digital sales but we know for a fact this title topped the PlayStation Store sales charts in March 2014 and we also know it had sold over 500,000 copies in Japan alone in early December as it won an award for doing so. With a PlayStation 4 port and potential PC port on the way who knows what this HD collection will end up with. Important to remember FFX and FFX-2 were two of the highest selling games in Square Enix history on PS2. All numbers as of December 27, 2014. All numbers thanks to VGChartz.
  5. Square just posted this on facebook. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WDCDNXJ Didn't they do a KH one like a year ago or something?
  6. The PSP remake of Final Fantasy has been remastered for Nintendo 3DS.
  7. I've been playing Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings and I've been thinking. We have Dissidia and Theatrhythm, I would love to see division 4 try a Final Fantasy game for Nintendo 3DS as a real-time strategy RPG using the same concepts they used for those two sub-franchises. Or to expand on that, a real-time strategy RPG on 3DS with various locations from nearly every game, and characters from nearly every game to choose to from. Just think, having Lightning, Yuna, Cloud, Cecil and Noctis going to Zanarkand to wage a battle against the likes of Caius, Sir. Jecht, Sephiorth, Golbez and Kefka. And you could use summons of course. And can’t forget about multiplayer, being able to face someone online would be a lot of fun. They could even have Think & Feel develop it as well. This kinda excites me. Haha.
  8. Available Today: Battle Music Sequence (BMS) “Opening – Bombing Mission -” (FINAL FANTASY VII) “Primal Judgment” (FINAL FANTASY XIV) “Soaring” (Xenogears) “Last Battle –T260G-” (SaGa Frontier®) “Sacrifice Part Three” (Seiken Densetsu 3) Field Music Sequence (FMS) “In Search of the Sword of Mana” (FINAL FANTASY ADVENTURE®) More add-on tracks arriving on January 22, 2015.
  9. A port of the PlayStation portable remake of Final Fantasy will be released on the Japanese Nintendo eShop on January 17, 2015. Those who pre-ordered Final Fantasy Explorers got it for free. Expect both to be released worldwide sometime in 2015. I'd expect a port of the PlayStation Portable remake of Final Fantasy II to also follow.
  10. The latest issue of Famitsu Weekly contains a feature discussing rumours, among them are FINAL FANTASY X-3 and a third DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY game. The likely platforms for these titles (should they be real) would be the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
  11. Just thought I'd make an official topic for Final Fantasy XV to compile our thoughts and discussions. I will (or if Sora96 wants to, he can) compile all the information that we've got so far. I don't know if I'll compile our Versus XIII stuff with it - maybe just as it was rebranded.
  12. Square Enix's mobile divisions (that's business divisions #9 and #10) have announced some new titles coming to Japan in the coming months for iOS & Android. An online Triple Triad game, a portal app, one that will feature time travelling while another is in development with the makers of Brave Frontier. Details available at the following links. http://www.4gamer.net/games/281/G028198/20141118068/ http://www.siliconera.com/2014/11/17/time-traveling-final-fantasy-rpg-coming-ios-android/ http://www.siliconera.com/2014/11/17/final-fantasys-next-smartphone-game-development-brave-frontier-makers/ There's a good chance of the time travelling one being released in English but the one with Brave Frontier's makers is unlikely I feel.
  13. http://blog.esuteru.com/archives/7907469.html 植松伸夫氏「FF6開発メンバーを集めて、また2Dゲームを作りたい。既にスクエニには話を持ちかけてる」 Nobuo Uematsu was interviewed for a concert by Lapis Dream Orchestra and he talked about the "intention" for develop a new RPG, in full 2D, with the original Final Fantasy VI staff, including Sakaguchi. Source. I honestly can't see this happening though, I mean getting Nomura, Kitase, Ito and Sakaguchi to all work on the same game now? I'm probably forgetting about other people with fair reasons too. Would seem impossible.
  14. Following the update of adding cloud saving to the Android version of Final Fantasy VI I asked Square Enix if they plan to add cloud saving to other Final Fantasy games on iOS and Android (III, VI & Tactics are the only ones currently with it) in particular IV. This was their response.
  15. Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call has only sold about 10,000 copies in Europe. This is after it sold shockingly in North America. This is not including digital. Thanks to VGChartz.
  16. Available Today: Songs “Premonition” (FINAL FANTASY VIII) “Pop-Up Duel” (FINAL FANTASY FABLES: CHOCOBO’S DUNGEON) “Ovelia’s Theme” (FINAL FANTASY TACTICS) “Vivi’s Theme” (FINAL FANTASY IX) “Coup de Grace” (ROMANCING SAGA) “Encounter with the Seven Heroes” (ROMANCING SAGA 2) “Devil Lord Confrontation I” (ROMANCING SAGA 3) “Horrible Shadow” (ROMANCING SAGA) Character Cloud #2 (FINAL FANTASY VII) On Sale Thursday, October 9th: Songs “Advent: One-Winged Angel” (FINAL FANTASY VII: ADVENT CHILDREN) “Last Order” (LAST ORDER: FINAL FANTASY VII) “Another Moon” (FINAL FANTASY IV) “Iifa, the Ancient Tree of Life” (FINAL FANTASY IX) “The Bevelle Underground” (FINAL FANTASY X-2) “Locke’s Theme” (FINAL FANTASY VI) “Leviathan Battle” (FINAL FANTASY FABLES: CHOCOBO’S DUNGEON) “The Imperial Army” (FINAL FANTASY II) “Today Comes To Be Tomorrow“ (FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES) Character Orlandeau (FINAL FANTASY TACTICS) *Each track/character is priced at $0.99.
  17. According to VGChartz, Curtain Call only sold 26,588 copies in the U.S as of September 20. This is not including digital. This is obviously horrible numbers.
