  1. In an interview with Kotaku at last month's European launch event for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, Tai Yasue the co-director of the Kingdom Hearts series spoke about Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX & HD 2.5 ReMIX being good training for new staff members in preparation for Kingdom Hearts III. He also discusses respecting source material and sharing ideas with the Final Fantasy XV team for the new hardware. You can read the interview below. Click here to view the article
  2. I-I just beat the first kingdom heart in 1.5 .... .... I cried. I've seen the ending on youtube but...it's not the same.....I just couldn't take it.... *cries even more* I'm going to admit something now....I've never actually beaten the first kingdom hearts before...I never got past Ansem (I know, I should be ashamed) I noticed things I didn't when I saw it on the ocmputer....I had this feeling of accomplishment, but also deep sadness.... Maybe part of it was because I knew that Sora & Kairi wouldn't see each other and Riku again until they were different people. Just thinking about that gave me sad feels. I think I need a moment...*cries*
  3. Just as the title states, what is a true kh fan to you ? does it involve buying all the games including Japanese ones or knowing what goes on in the story ? edit: im not saying anything about being a true fan but i know people who think they are more of a fan cuz they go out of their way to buy all the games and call themselves "true fans." Also they claim to know more about the game than alot of fans
  4. Something I've noticed about DAYS, KH II, and the KH II manga is it doesn't seem to be able to pick a design for the clocktower. In KH II, the area the group meets is flat, just a surface that leads outward, and they hang their feet over the side while sitting on the flat area. In DAYS, there's a ledge, about a foot higher than the flat area, and the group sits on the ledge, which is wide enough for Xion to walk on (and fall off of). In the KH II manga, same thing: flat area, no ledge. Why the sudden change in architecture? Was the ledge removed before KH II? Just something to think about.
  5. We don't really do things like this in the forum too often, so I figured I'd throw this out there. Also because of the fact that I'm replaying 1FM right now. lol So, basically yeah: I'm gonna list my top 10 favorite Keyblades from Kingdom Hearts or Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. The rules are: there are no rules. I'm not gonna pick based on stats or effects or any of that nonsense because a) if that were the case, Ultima Weapon would obviously get the top spot, and that's boring and b) I'm picking the ones I like because of how they look, how they play for me, and just based off my experience using them while playing the game. Anyways, here they are: 10. Kingdom Key (I had to go with this solely on the fact that its the most iconic of not only his game, but in every other Kingdom Hearts game as well. Still, it's obviously super bland compared to the others on this list, so it gets the last spot.) 9. Lady Luck (I never used this quite often, but whenever I was going through certain battles where I needed a ton of magic, I looked to Lady Luck to guide me, which is probably why it takes you so long to get it even though you can find it in the second world you visit.) 8. Fairy Harp (Despite its super short reach, I can still pull off a lot of damage with this one. Though, its not too often that I do; its usually just when I feel like pulling off a bunch of criticals.) 7. Three Wishes (I like this one mostly because of the coloring and design. It's vibrant, and it really shows that its a weapon inspired by Agrabah.) 6. Crabclaw (I have fond memories of using this sleek, bright blue weapon with the crab as the teeth in the dark, gloomy Halloween Town right after I got it. Good times. I always just found it slightly hilarious to be using a weapon like that in a world like that.) 5. Lionheart (The teeth and keychain look like lion heads. 'Nuff said.) 4. Jungle King (The first Keyblade you get in the game sans the Kingdom Key. I always find it satisfying to receive this after I clear Deep Jungle. With its thrown together yet well crafted design, I feel like the king of the apes when I whip this bad boy out.) 3. Pumpkinhead (The most metal looking weapon in the entire game, complete with gothic black designs and a nice little jack-o-latern at the end for a keychain. Just using it makes you feel like you're gonna rain down Hell on earth.) 2. Divine Rose (While somewhat girly in design, it's still effective, and I can always rely on it for most of the harder stuff I have to do later on in the game. Plus I find it funny that I get to smack people around with a rosebud.) 1. Olympia (Easily my favorite due to its raw power and awesome design. It's also one of the more bulky blades in the entire game, so I feel like a beast when I swing it around and kick the crap out of enemies.) Feel free to leave your own top 10 lists below.
  6. Tai Yasue, the co-director of the Kingdom Hearts series has revealed in an interview with IGN that the Kingdom Hearts HD collections, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX could be ported to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the future. Yasue mentions he understands what the fans want and that it is something they will explore but they also don't want to delay Kingdom Hearts III's development. You can read what Yasue said in full below. IGN has announced they will have more with Yasue later in the week.

  8. Should I go for the platinum on KH 1 FM?
  9. On this day in Kingdom Hearts history: Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories was released in Japan. Happy 10th anniversary!
  10. Sorry if this topic has already been made and such, but... That scene in KH1 where King Triton tells Sora 'not to meddle in the affairs of other worlds' and 'the key bearer shatters peace and brings ruin'... why does he say that? The TAV trio has never been to Atlantica afaik, but could the KHx Keyblade War have something to do with it? Or maybe Xehanort? Or are there keyblade wielders/masters we don't know about yet? The way King Triton acts in that scene... it almost seems to me like he's met a Keyblade wielder before and has bad experiences with them. What do you think?
  11. Kingdom Hearts has placed in the PlayStation 20th Anniversary Users' Choice Awards top 20. Unfortunately, it did not win the award. However Kingdom Hearts' co-producer Yoshinori Kitase was in attendance and claimed the Users' Choice Awards for a game he directed in Final Fantasy VII for the PlayStation and produced in Final Fantasy X for the PlayStation 2 which also claimed a PlayStation Gold Prize for selling over 500,000 copies in Japan for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Tetsuya Nomura, director of the Kingdom Hearts series served as the main character designer for both games.

  15. You better sit down for this one, because I think I've hit something! *Unfortunately, I am unable to post screenshots, but just watch any Old Mansion gameplays and you'll see EXACTLY what I'm talkling about.*It seems the "Old Mansion" in Twilight Town may be older than we previously imagined....So old in fact, that it could have been the home or workplaces of one of the ancient Foretellers, Unicornis. Don't believe me? See for yourself....(1.) When you first open the gate there is a small courtyard that has a series of six pillars. All of them are destroyed except for two: one in the far back that cannot be identified, and the first pillar. Guess whose animal is on the first pillar? Unicorn's. OHHH..... but it doesn't stop there.(2.) Enter the mansion, and you will come to the lobby. There are two large unicorn statues there, as well as two large unicorn heads above the doorframe.(3.) Enter the dining room, and there are 5 chairs. How many Foretellers are there? 5. When you examine the table, Sora says that only a large blast could have done this. Hm......do you think that someone could have walked in on the Foreteller's meeting and got angry that they weren't invited? Also, you will see a unicorn head hanging on one of the walls, and about 4 empty spaces on the other walls where heads were once hanging. (6.) Walk into the library, and there is a large unicorn head statue inside one of the bookcases.Indeed its all just speculation, but it's still a rather strange coincidence. And like I've said before....there are very rarely coinsidences in this game....everything seems to happen for a reason. Does Unicornis' pillar still standing mean that he escaped whoever's wrath destroyed that place? Or did he cause the damage himself? What does that say for the other destroyed pillars? Who does the mysterious pillar standing in the back belong to? The mysterious Sixth?Seriously, I could see if it was something common like lions or something, but Unicorns?? And all over the place? Pence was right, something is strange about this house.....something terrible went down, and there may only be two people in the entire universe who know what. But where are they??
  16. I'm trying to go over 1.5 before 2.5 comes out. However I realized I never completed ReCoM. Don't ask me how, I stopped, forgot and didn't notice or think about it til now. My only problem is I whenever I do a playthrough of ReCom, I feel the need for the order of the worlds to be by the book (especially since the worlds' order decide how the cutscenes are lined up in theater mode). So does anyone out there (say with the official strategy guide) know the exact order of the worlds for ReCom? Both for Sora and Reverse/Rebirth?
  17. Riku is in the Realm of Darkness, and meets Mickey.
  18. When it comes to opening a door to a new room, the hardest part for me is choosing a map card. Most of the time I dislike most of the rooms, but my favorite has to be Bottomless Darkness and Looming Darkness. I despise Almighty Darkness just because it's almost impossible to use single cards at Castle Oblivion. What is your favorite Map Card? What are your most used?
  19. So I was thinking about this the other day: in KH 1, we see Halloween Town as it normally is, with Oogie and everything, but in KH 2 we see Jack has become obsessed with Christmas, as in the film. They make a reference to him doing this again, I believe, so here's my question: Does KH 1 take place AFTER the film, or BEFORE it? Sally doesn't seem to be as involved with Jack as she in KH 2, and the way the characters behave more mirrors the film in KH 2, such as the Mayor and the way the town looks. Plus Jack is wearing his "Sandy claws" suit, and there'd be no reason to not include it in KH 1 if that storyline happened during the film. So can you assume KH 2 is during the film, and DAYS and KH 1 are before Jack runs into Christmas Town? And does this mean Jack has dispatched Oogie not once, but three times?
  20. You probably never noticed this but in the secret ending 'Deep Dive' while Roxas is running up the skyscraper after throwing the Oblivion Keyblade at Riku, Roxas wields the Kingdom Key D. Also, at the end, King Mickey wields the Kingdom Key. (Could not paste pictures because I do not know how the pasting here works) See for yourself.

  23. I'm guessing this goes in 1.5 remix even though i'm asking about the hand held game. i wanted to ask; what happons overall to your data when you save after winning kh days? Do you keep all the mission mode data AND chalange data? Or not? I'm wondering if i should save over my regular standerd mode file or save over this part of the game i kept that had riku talking to xion. Thanks for reading this! I hope i can have some help here right now my game is charging as i try to figure out what to do lol
  24. I know I'm the only one here who watches all the cut scenes without skipping them. It just feels natural to play the game all the way through. It's like a movie to me and I like re watching all my favorite scenes like when I was a kid. I don't care that I've seen them 100 times, it's an important part of my playthrough. (Except Kairi's grandma's story...GAWWWD THAT WAS BORING)
  25.
