  1. Assets from the game files of Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage- have been uncovered by Twitter users @Keytotruth, 13th Vessel, and @Xeeynamo through hacking. Some of the untextured assets that have been found so far includes Luxu, the black box, Yen Sid, Aqua, Kairi, a Water Core Heartless, the Starseeker Keyblade, and the Castle of Dreams. You can view them in the gallery below: When asked more about the assets, 13th Vessel gave some more insight on the structure of Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-, which you can read below: When asked about which characters' assets they have found so far, they replied with: UPDATE [Dec 18, 2017]: KeytoTruth has found unused commands in the assets of Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-. Some of the commands that weren't used for the final version of the game were Water, Aero, Holy, WaterFire, WaterBlizzard, and WaterAero. You can view the full list of commands here. UPDATE [Dec 31, 2017]: @Xeeynamo has found untextured models of Sora and Goofy from Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-. Their pictures have been added to the album embed above. UPDATE [Jan 1, 2018]: 13th Vessel has reported that they have uncovered "almost every model," including untextured character models for Riku in his Kingdom Hearts original outfit, Donald, Ansem the Wise and Terra; he has also found Riku's and Mickey's suitcases model. He has also found the files for Ventus and shirtless Mickey and many more, but there are no images available for those models yet. In the mean time, you can view all of the ones available in the gallery with the other images above. UPDATE [Jan 2, 2018]: 13th Vessel has uncovered the untextured character model for Terra-Xehanort's Guardian, which you can view in the gallery above. He's also found Kingdom Key, Kingdom Key D, Donald's weapon, and effects for the previously reported on Water magic, which were not viewable. Some maps and textures of models are still there even after having been deleted. For example, in the NPC folder, 13th Vessel found some folders for Daybreak Town, but they only had textures of scrapped models in them. (Note that there he didn't find any maps for Daybreak Town.) The next step would be to find a way of seeing these textures to identify them, but 13th Vessel says that that's a very complicated task. He states that because of this, there could be many things that are scrapped that we are not able to view. UPDATE [Jan 2, 2018]: 13th Vessel has uploaded the soundtrack's file names from Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep -A fragmentary passage- that he pulled from the game's assets. This list does not contain the game's opening song, "Simple and Clean (Ray of Hope Mix)." You can see the list below: The list comprises the following tracks, which can be heard throughout the game: Always on My Mind Dearly Beloved -Reprise- Destiny's Force Devil's Wave [1] Devil's Wave [2] Dive into the Heart -Destati- Illusion Aqua Hand in Hand Bond* Light and Dark** Miracle Missing You Magical Mystery Aqua Sora Terra Ven Dearly Beloved Title launch*** Dark World battle theme Dark World boss theme Dark World field theme Dark World field theme (Sleeping Beauty) Dark World field theme (Snow White) *This could be referring to the track "Destiny's Union" that plays when Terra is talking to Aqua.**This could be referring to the track "The Key" that plays when King Mickey finds the Kingdom Key D and when he is ready to seal the door to Kingdom Hearts. ***This could be the brief music that plays when the player starts a new game. Translations were provided by KH13 staff member Mio-chan. 13th Vessel commented that he was not able to view the soundtrack from Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover as it is a movie, not a game. UPDATE [Jan 5, 2018]: We had another chance to speak to 13th Vessel about the NPC folders and the textures (with no models) found in them, and he explained to us, in detail, that some of the characters' models are found in folders whose names are identifiable with the code of the area those characters are seen during the game. For instance, the untextured models for Yen Sid, Riku, Riku's and Mickey's suitcases, Kairi, Sora, Donald, and Goofy were found in folders with the code "yc" - for Yen Sid's Castle. Similarly, the models for Aqua and Terranort were found in Dark World ("dw") folders; and the models for Luxu and the box he carries, as seen in the Keyblade Graveyard, were appropriately found in a Daybreak Town ("db") folder. UPDATE [Jan 6, 2018]: Keytotruth has uploaded an image of the model of the Gummi Ship found in the files of Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep -A fragmentary passage-. You can see the picture below. Note that the colors were added to the render. Back in October, 13th Vessel uploaded a couple of videos on the Destiny Islands area in Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage- using hacks and mods. You can check out more about that in the article here. What do you guys think about these assets? What else do you think we will find? Let us know in the comments below. 3. Back in September, HdHereidme uploaded a video showing off a hacked version of Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-. The video contains the free exploration of sections with limited accessibility in the game, such as Destiny Islands and The World Within in Dwarf Woodlands. The video showcases the beauty of the Unreal Engine 4, and definitely leaves the viewer wondering how Kingdom Hearts III will look like in 2018. You can take a look at the video below: Thanks to KHInsider for the tip! In October, 13th Vessel uploaded a couple videos showcasing inaccessible areas in Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage- as well. He also shows off Destiny Islands and The World Within in Dwarf Woodlands, where he tried out some room codes and got a rare debug message, which stated "Continue as normal, the flag isn't raised" (in Japanese). You can check out the video below: Also, the video of the full gameplay can be viewed below: What do you think about the areas' graphical showcase? 7. Alright, so I've searched the forums and haven't found anything like this, but I do apologize if it has been posted here before. I know the topic has come up before about why Vanitas was shown beside Young Xehanort in DDD as well as where he may be now, but I think I may have an idea/theory to answer this. Ok, so we know from Nomura in one of his interviews he states that Vanitas showed up because it was Ventus' heart reacting inside of Sora. Now, I still see some confusion here from other fans, so I just want to clear one thing up. Sora did NOT see Vanitas, only Ventus did (and us as the audience, of course). What Sora saw and heard was YX saying, "Hypocrite, you are the one that has made your heart a prison... Even if you are not the prisoner." Ventus (from what we can gather) saw and heard the same thing but with Vanitas saying it instead. That is why after it was all said and done, Sora asks, "My heart's a prison?" instead of questioning why there was another boy standing beside YX that looked exactly like him. He didn't see Vanitas; he saw YX and that was it. Now continuing from this, I think there could be a double meaning behind the line "Even if you are not the prisoner." YX said it to Sora and was talking about Ventus being the 'prisoner' inside his heart. But what if the same could be said about Vanitas? What if Vanitas said the same thing because it was also true that HE himself was also a prisoner inside of Ven's heart? Looking back at the end of BBS with the resolution of Ven and Vanitas' fight within their dive to the heart, Vanitas fell into his pillar. Now, I was with a lot of people in first taking that as a way of saying the two finally joined back together, but obviously that's not the case since Ventus went into a state of suspended animation like a Princess of Heart would when they lose their hearts. Meaning, his heart still only consists of light. Going off of this, could it be said that Vanitas fell into Ven's heart and got stuck there still as a separate entity and became his 'prisoner'? If this is the case, then Vanitas is trapped inside of Ventus' heart which is trapped inside of Sora's heart. And this kind of matches up with what YX said from the newest trailer featuring the Toy Story world. YX states, "There is a darkness we are missing and must reclaim." Now, it's really just an opinion here, but I think he's talking about Vanitas-which is why I said it kind of matches up. If he is talking about Vanitas, then them [the seekers] trying to find clues as to how hearts connect... this could be why: If they want Vanitas, they'd first have to get Ventus out of Sora's heart and then get Vanitas out of Ventus' heart. That's some crazy heart extraction going on there. Anyway, that's pretty much all I have to offer. Let me know what you guys think.
  8. Hey everyone, Soboz here back again with another Kingdom Hearts III menu concept design, this time I've done one for the in-game pause menu. I was really interested in seeing how the new menu introduced in Kingdom Hearts 0.2 would look featuring Sora, Donald, and Goofy. I tried to make it look as authentic as possible (though obviously I couldn't get the character models to move). Anyways, here's the actual video if anyone has any questions or comments don't be afraid to chime in below. https://youtu.be/9GwtikGlvnM
  9. Hey there, everyone! It's me, Veemon, and I'm finally back, to kick, some, tail! with a brand new game! The objective of the game is for everyone to work together to name as many DIFFERENT characters from the Kingdom Hearts series as we can! From main characters, to heartless, nobodies, unversed, dream eaters, Disney characters, everyone that has appeared in Kingdom Hearts in some way. (This is excluding certain characters that only appeared on things such as the Chocobo on the Metal Chocobo keyblade, etc.) To keep it fair for everyone, and to make the game last the longest, let's limit it to one character per post. Also, if possible, try to avoid repeating characters, since the goal is to name as many different characters as we can. Let me start it off with our main character... Sora! Rock on!

  13. Over the years, I've seen many people be confused as to why Sora and Riku had to do so much more for their Mark of Mastery than Aqua and Terra. Aqua and Terra trained their whole life for their Mark of Mastery. Sora and Riku didn't. Sora and Riku's Mark of Mastery was also their training. Their Mark of Mastery was so much more difficult than Aqua and Terra's because they had to make up for the years of training they missed. The Mark of Mastery and becoming a Keyblade Master isn't about whether you can save the world or not. It's about being traditionally trained. For example, becoming a black belt in Karate has nothing to do with whether you can save the world or win a fight or not. It has to do with if you have mastered the traditional skills you have been taught. The title of "Keyblade Master" is nothing more than a formality.
  14. Do you think Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover was a bad movie, If so why? In this video I discuss that very topic, I have a lot of opinions regarding this and cover as much as possible. Anyways i'll leave the rest of the talking to the video, Hope you enjoy!! :D

  20. I'll explain the Sleeping Worlds/the realm of sleep. (This is a part of my "Explained" series of posts. To view my "Time Travel Explained" post, click here, to view my "Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed, and Dream Eaters Explained" post, click here, and to view my "The Braig/Xigbar Situation Explained" post, click here.) All the "realm of sleep" is, is dreams. Worlds can dream and people can dream. When a world falls to darkness/goes to the Realm of Darkness, they also fall asleep and they dream. The worlds we go to in Dream Drop Distance are dreams of worlds that were freed from darkness, but were not freed from their sleep. Yen Sid sent Sora and Riku back in time to Destiny Islands before it fell to darkness, so that they could sort of "ride" Destiny Islands into darkness, therefore ride it into sleep. Once they rode it into sleep and fell asleep, they unknowingly opened the first Sleeping Keyhole and were transported to the next Sleeping World/the first Sleeping World from the present-day that they need to save. When this happened, Riku unknowingly dove into Sora's dreams and became a Spirit Dream Eater to protect him from Nightmares. So, throughout the game, Sora is in the dreams of the worlds that fell to darkness, but didn't wake from their sleep, and Riku is in Sora's dreams. Things change when they get to The World That Never Was though. The World That Never Was is not a Sleeping World. It's a real world in the Realm Between. There's a cutscene where Yen Sid says that Sora and Riku will eventually end up out of the Sleeping Worlds and into a world that's in the Realm Between. That world was The World That Never Was. It's not a Sleeping World, but when Riku arrived there, he was still in the realm of sleep since he was still in Sora's dreams and has been the whole journey. After Riku defeats Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, he's brought back to the real world and out of the realm of sleep. When Sora arrived at The World That Never Was, he was in the real world and out of the dream. But, Young Xehanort dragged Sora back into the realm of sleep, but this time, he dragged Sora into Sora's own dreams instead of the world's dreams. Then, Xigbar dragged Sora into a second sleep. So, Sora's sleeping body was in Sora's own dreams which is why Riku saw it before he fought Anti Black Coat. Anyways, after Young Xehanort successfully puts Sora into a weird sleep coma by dragging him further and further into dreams, he brings him back to the real world and places him on one of the Organization XIII thrones. Riku still had his Dream Eaters and his Dream Eater powers in the real world of The World That Never Was because Sora was still asleep. He still had a weird Dream Eater connection to him. Nomura said The Mysterious Tower drifts around and doesn't stay in the same place. The Mysterious Tower used to be a part of a world called Symphony of Sorcery. It's drifted away from that world a long time ago though. The world "Symphony of Sorcery" is a Sleeping World. The reason The Mysterious Tower shows up in that world is because the dream is filling in the gaps, just like it fills in the gaps with characters. The Grid is a digital world inside of a computer in a world that we don't know the name of. The world that Sam Flynn is from. Just like how Space Paranoids is a digital world inside of a computer in Radiant Garden. Space Paranoids is a copy of The Grid made by Ansem the Wise. The reason Space Paranoids looks so different than The Grid though is because he copied it a long time ago. Space Paranoids is what The Grid used to look like. The Grid is not a Sleeping World, but the world it's attached to/the world it's a computer on, is a Sleeping World. Which is why Dream Eaters show up there. Country of the Musketeers is simply a world Mickey, Donald, and Goofy traveled to on their adventures. Minnie used to be a resident there, and she later moved to Disney Town to be with Mickey. Also, the Robed Figure was there on Destiny Islands in the first Kingdom Hearts so that he could mark the time traveling Sora with the Recusant's Sigil and so that Young Xehanort can time travel to where the Robed Figure is and follow Sora and Riku into the realm of sleep. So, now that Sora was marked with the Recusant's Sigil and now that Young Xehanort was in the same time period as Sora, he was able to teleport to wherever he was. Oh, and we now know that the official name for the realm of sleep is "Unchained." In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, it was called many different things, it seemed to not have an official name. It was actually called "the realm of sleep" only once. So, yeah, it's the "Unchained" realm.

  23. *SPOILERS IF YOU DIDN'T PLAY IT ALL THE WAY THROUGH YET!!* Okay, so I had this running through my mind for awhile now, and it popped up again yesterday while I was taking off my car stickers  So, I know that Xion in 358/2 Days disappears at the end, and Namine explained that when she did, everyone's memories of her would fade away too. Plus, wouldn't Roxas have said something when he regained all his memories before finding Sora in Twilight Town? What confuses me is how Sora sheds a tear when he sees her form in DDD. If all memories of her faded away when she did, why would Roxas let alone anyone remember her and cry for her? Just something to ask about and see what you guys think
