  1. Shortly following their post on Birth by Sleep 0.2 -A Fragmentary Passage-, PlayStation Japan's blog has posted another feature, this time focusing on Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover, the cinematic component of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. Thank you to aibo_ac7 for the tip! This new blog post features small blurbs about the cinematic itself, traits about the characters that appear throughout the cinematic, as well as a few new screenshots. Translations can be found below thanks to Catherine Mueller (nichiei.translations@gmail.com) as well as the screenshots from the blog post.
  2. So we all know the rules for time travel in Dream Drop Distance: you have to give up your body. you can only go to times that you already exist in, yadda yadda yadda. But how exactly does the time traveling itself happen? Does Young Xehanort just will a portal to the time stream into existence? Does he summon a door like the ones from Kingdom Hearts 2? Do the Xehanorts fly around in an evil TARDIS? This game would be so much better if they actually showed things happening on screen.

  5. GameInformer has reviewed Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue in its latest issue, giving it a rating of 8.5/10 and giving the game its Silver ranking, meaning it's the second best review in this month's issue. The review begins with stating that the concept of the game is that it is the PS4 port of Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance and the beginning of Kingdom Hearts III. Also, the voice acting is solid, the graphics are crisp and the environments are very detailed, and the controls are as smooth as ever for a Kingdom Hearts game. The camera controls are also easier to use than in prior games. A good portion of the review talks about Birth by Sleep 0.2 -A Fragmentary Passage-, saying that it will be about 3-4 hours long. Getting accessories for Aqua will come from completing quests rather than just opening chests. Each level will have its own mission like finding the 5 gears to get to Cinderella's castle. Also, there is a Critical mode than can be unlocked when you complete the game. There is also going to be a scene that could be from or directly links to Kingdom Hearts III at the end. Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover is said to run about an hour long, but is going to be the best visual movie out of all of the HD movies in the series. Dream Drop Distance HD is supposed to run smoother on the PS4 and the touchpad will be used closely to what the touchscreen was on the 3DS. You can read the full review here. 6. In Game Informer's review for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, it is stated that Birth by Sleep 0.2 -A Fragmentary Passage- ends with a lengthy cutscene that presumably leads into the beginning of Kingdom Hearts III. Gameinformer describes the scene as characters "embarking on the next part of their journey" and that the scene overall moves the story forward. What do you think we'll see at the end of Birth by Sleep -A Fragmentary Passage-? Let us know in the comments below! Click here to view the article

You can check out the response below. Will you be completing the game on Critical Mode? What mode will you start with first? Let us know in the comments below! Click here to view the article

  11. In this issue of Famitsu it was stated that the Master of Masters has eyes that can see into the future. Using this ability, he wrote the Book of Prophecies. What if the Master of Masters' eyes are yellow? Ya know, like Xehanort's eyes. What if these yellow eyes that Xehanort has allows him to see into the future? That would definitely explain how he has been such an amazing tactician and has been able to predict pretty much everything that has happened so far. He even majorly surprised Yen Sid that he was able to predict such insane things. In Dream Drop Distance, Young Xehanort and Sora had this conversation. Sora questions Young Xehanort how Xehanort knew that Sora would be on Destiny Islands for his Mark of Mastery in the Realm of Sleep on that exact day. Young Xehanort just replies with "Simple." which obviously is not an answer. I've always assumed that this would be answered in 2.8 or KH3, and I think I might've finally found my answer. Thoughts? EDIT: This theory has been debunked by Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover.
