In the interview, Tetsuya Nomura has stated that Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will be PS4 Pro enhanced once again, however, he also states that the title will be in 4K as well. We're unsure if the 4K will be upscaled or native. 6. Game Designer Square Enix August 2014 - June 2015 (11 months) | Osaka, Osaka, Japan "Kingdom Hearts III" (PS4, Xbox One) Development (10 Months ) Original-level planning, documentation and execution for 2 Worlds INCLUDING enemy, Item, secrets and event Management. Mockup Creation of 3 Worlds INCLUDING temporary Asset Creation. Game idea planning and documentation. Game Check and balance. Enemy planning and documentation. Gummi Ship system planning and documentation. Multiplayer planning and documentation. Attraction Flow planning and documentation. Main Scenario planning for 2 Worlds. Various in-Game dialogue writing. Translation and Interpretation of Contact Between Involved English and Japanese parties INCLUDING Disney and Pixar. Publicity video Recording and editing. Communication with Outsourced companies. Holding Meetings with Disney and Pixar. Team Management, Meeting Management and Proceeding Recordings. I know that this is an old news post, however, I feel as though it still has relevance. Firstly, the 2.9 game turned out to be 2.8 (containing Dream Drop Distance HD, 0.2 Birth by Sleep - A Fragmentary Passage and X Back Cover), but more importantly, there's a lot of things to understand with regards to how Kingdom Hearts III is forming. First off, it seems as though that Square Enix are communicating far more frequently with Disney with regards to Kingdom Hearts III (and rightly so seeing as it is a mainline game). This goes to show that the promotion and publicity is a joint effort with Square Enix and Disney with regards to Kingdom Hearts III. 2.8 on the other hand isn't as scheduled and corporately monitored by Disney (as most of the elements of that game is original content with no new Disney properties introduced). Secondly, I'd like to point out the phrase "In-game dialogue writing". A lot of people assumed that those were either grunts or cut scenes, but now that we know that Aqua is able to talk during game play in 0.2, I feel as though that's what in game dialogue is referring too. There was also the question of NPC's in a world. I have a good feeling that we will finally have NPC interaction as X Back Cover showed a crowd of player characters in a cut scene. That's not my strongest point to prove NPC interaction for Kingdom Hearts III, sure, but it ties in with the "in game dialogue" possibilities, for example, Sora talking to a citizen in San Fransokyo. Finally, and here's the big kicker. Pixar. Now, for people who don't know what does on with Disney behind the scenes of their animated movies, During 2006, Disney CEO Bob Iger bought Pixar to be a Disney subsidiary, and as a result, Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter was the creative boss of Disney Animation (the Disney studio that has the movies featured in Kingdom Hearts). So, when it comes to Disney Animation movies from 2008 onwards (starting from Bolt), it's inevitable that Square Enix would have to contact this head honcho. Through sweet talk and mutual appreciation of each others work, Nomura could have convinced Disney to add Pixar in Kingdom Hearts III. So, what's everyone's thoughts on the conclusions that I've made?

  11. Seth Kearsley, the director and writer of the scrapped animated series for Kingdom Hearts posted an image of a tape with footage from the show. You can find an image of the tape below: Seth then went on to speak with Twitter user @SHIELD_DRAWS, who asked several questions about the scrapped series as well as the possibility of an animated series tie-in with Kingdom Hearts III, referencing the Brotherhood anime that was produced for Final Fantasy XV. Seth went on to explain that all characters were voiced by their original voice actors and had completed recording with the exception of Sora, who was to be voiced by a sound-alike for Haley Joel Osment. Seth also answered that he has talked with Walt Disney Animation Studios about the possibility of another project, but that there doesn't seem to be much interest at the current time. Do you think there should be an animated series or any sort of other tie-in produced with Kingdom Hearts III? Let us know in the comments! Click here to view the article

  13. Okay so crazy idea what if Vanitas is going to be one of the vessels for the thirteen hearts of darkness now here is why I say this in KH 2.8's trailer we see the Ventus/Vanitas go in to one of the seats plus every one has wondered why we saw Vanitas behind young Xehanort but he could already be a part of them and he was just in hinding reforming this could explain the lingering spirt of Vanitas and this is either a back up plan made by Xehanort or Vanitas now this is just a theory but I believe Vanitas will come back very soon so please support or critize to your hearts content

  15. This is where I admit firstly, be careful what you wish for, ages ago I said I would like to learn about character backgrounds etc and then the Chi secret ending happened and Nomura's new artwork. Now I like Ventus and I do want to see how he is woken up. However, by potentially making him originate from the Chi era, we might as well slam our heads against a wall. I'll leave it to others to discuss whether Ven is a Dandelion or due to being in a comatose state is a ' sleeping vessel'. However, if Ven does originate from the Chi era then my biggest potential issue is that Time Travel can have even more of an importance. In order to time travel you need to have a version of yourself back in that time period, for many this was reassuring as this excluded Sora from being able to travel years in the past to participate in the first keyblade war etc. Now, if Ven is from that era then it becomes plausible that he at least will be able to travel back to his original era. I have nothing against referencing Chi characters in KH3, but if Nomura chose to go down this path, it would only complicate matters even more. I mean, events are fixed in history, so nothing major could be changed, but it would feel a cheap cop out If this route was used in KH3 IT just makes back cover a lot more interesting
  16. At the PlayStation Meeting on September 7th, Sony announced an enhanced version of their PlayStation 4 console, the PlayStation 4 Pro. This new console is incredibly powerful compared to its predecessor, demonstrating the capability to render upcoming games in 4K resolution. Other improvements were also shown. For those without a 4K television or monitor, some developers are implementing an alternate mode for their games, allowing them to be rendered at 1080p with a significantly improved framerate. Additionally, some previously released games may also be patched to offer improved performance on the PlayStation 4 Pro. While it is not confirmed that Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue or Kingdom Hearts III would benefit from the new hardware in terms of either resolution or framerate, Sony had this to say about the new features: "Following PS4 Pro's launch on November 10 in North America, virtually all new PS4 game releases moving forward will be able to take advantage of PS4 Pro capabilities on day one, or in some cases shortly after launch via a downloadable update." Sony notes that while most games will certainly utilize this new hardware after the launch date, there is the slight possibility that some games, possibly including the upcoming Kingdom Hearts releases, might not take advantage of it. However, since Final Fantasy XV was also shown briefly at this event, chances are high that Square Enix will fully utilize the improvements that the PlayStation 4 Pro offers. The PlayStation 4 Pro launches in North America on November 10th, 2016. Do you think we will see enhanced performance in games such as Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts III? Let us know in the comments! Click here to view the article
