  1. So I watched a pretty old video by joshscorcher on "Top 10 Worst KH Bosses" and it was a pretty bad list imo; his explanations were subpar and felt more like complaints and salt from being unable to beat a boss (quote from the video "I HATE how [Demyx] keeps pelting me with attacks that I CAN'T COUNTER!"), and it really that informative. However it did get me thinking; KH has a bunch of awesome bosses (I'm looking at you, Mr. Zebra Xemnas), but it also had its fair share of bad bosses (as to be expected from every game series). So yah, here's my list (from least worst to worst worst). 1. Data Xigbar (KH2) - Honestly just a not very well designed fight in general. His bullets are so fast that it is pretty much impossible to react to them, unless you 100% understand his every pattern. Even then, you'll most likely have to spam Reflect to survive. It has redeeming qualities though; it's still a doable fight, and it's nowhere near as unfair as some of the later bosses you'll see on this list. 2. Ursula 2 (KH1) - There is lightning everywhere, and they strike down insanely rapidly. You can at most get off two hits of your combo before having to move to avoid the lightning. Her other attacks are avoidable, but the main downfall of this fight was the lightning. Using a finisher would only result in finisher lag, where you cannot move in that instant and forces you to get hit by the lightning. It's honestly just a horribly designed fight overall. 3. Chernabog (DDD) - Underwhelming and kind of pathetic. I remember in KH1 when we fought Chernabog; it was difficult fight, but hell yeah it was intense and epic. This...does a lot less. Awesome, convert an awesome intense fight to a drop mission. 4. Ruler of the Sky (Days) - Once again, this was just another boring fight; debatably the most boring in the entire game. This fight can take an absurd amount of time, and once over, you really don't feel any feelings of accomplishment. It's not even a hard fight; just tedious since the majority of the fight is just you chasing after him. 5. Phantom (KH1) - This fight, like Ruler of the Sky, is boring and tedious. What's with flying bosses having bad design? You can only use a specific attack on Phantom at a certain time: Fire, Blizzard, Thunder, and Attack. Phantom has a bunch of health, and the fight overall just takes a long time. You'll once again be flying around for the most part and Curing when you get hit. Also, you have to cast Stop periodically on the Clock Tower to prevent him from casting Doom on your party members, which will remove them from the battle forever. Boring, long, and tedious. But at least we aren't at the frustrating ones yet. 6. Young Xehanort (DDD) - Speaking of frustrating bosses, here's one for you. Imagine all the issues with DDD, regarding boss stun, difficulty spikes, unfair AI; roll them all together, and you get this. YX is relentless, and barely has openings. Even when you do attack him, you'll just end up getting obliterated by him randomly retaliating out of your combo. Welp, time to stick to spamming Balloon to win again. I don't even have a grudge against his time reverse thing at the end; in fact, I thought that was pretty cool. However, the fact that the fight empahsizes on the problems in DDD really just makes me hate it. 7. Armor of the Master (BBS) - Can't be stunned, once again. It's a long and boring fight. Sure, his attacks are flashy, but when you realized that all of them can be dodged by mashing Square as Aqua and Ven, the fight really doesn't do much else. Once again, use Surges! Because that's how you beat every single optional boss in BBS. 8. No Heart (BBS) - You cannot stun him. His attacks are brutal. The only way to win is to Dodge like hell, use Surges, get hit, run away, Cure, repeat. The fight also took FOREVER on the PSP version; luckily, Square nerfed him on the PS3 version. But that still doesn't make it any better. 9. All Vanitas Fights (BBS) - Vanitas is the epitome of bad boss design. He, like many others in BBS and DDD, cannot get stunned (and if he does, he teleports out before you can hit him again). He is the most inconsistent boss in the series; he does whatever he wants, whenever he wants, quite literally breaking the game's rules. Finally stunned him with a possible opening? Nope, teleport. Finally got two hits on him and is about to use a finisher? Nope, break out in the middle of your combo and teleport behind you, hitting you. The fight isn't hard once you get used to it; just don't use finishers. That's right, the way to win that fight is literally to attack once, roll away, and slowly chip away at his health forever and ever. A boss that is frustrating and tedious is one thing; however, a boss that breaks its own set of rules that the game has set up is a completely new level of bad design. What were you thinking Square? 10. Mysterious Figure (BBS) - As Aqua and Ven, this fight is almost pathetic once you know how to beat him. Mash Square until your thumb breaks, and Surges in his openings. As Terra, you hope and pray to the KH RNG Gods that they don't let you die. The issue with this fight rests in the intention. Square quite literally programmed the fight to act after the most broken mechanics in the entire series that is found in BBS. You spam Aqua and Ven's invincible dodges to win, you spam the OP command Thunder Surge, and everything else, including Terra and his crappy slide, is completely, utterly, useless. What a great fight. Vanitas broke its own rules, but Mysterious Figure literally breaks its own rules in order to force the player to also break the game's "intended rules" to win. Unbelievable; I can't believe people actually designed this garbage. And yeah, I got pretty brutal with the last few ones there, but my point still stands; they were bad fights. Anyways, I'd like to see all of your opinion so yay discussion!
  2. Who are the strongest Kingdom Hearts Characters? My view of it so far? Leaving out certain characters like Yen Sid. 0- Kingdom hearts (this is for fun but im sure someone gets what Im pointing at. One shots Ansem) 1- Master of Masters. Guy in black coat of back cover trailer. Self explanatory in his name. Prediction. 2- Fortellers- Taught by the master and have large amounts of students. 3- Xehanort. Again self explanatory as to why he's most likely the final boss of KH3 4- Aqua. Okay, from what we've seen, amd especially in 0.2 with her broken ass magic, we can assume aqua has keyblade master status for a reason. And she would've got it even facing a probably harder target than the light balls. She is quite skilled. 5- Riku. People aren't gonna like this but he does have control of both the light and darkness inside him, and this is based from DDD events. Can do things number 6 cant, only reason hes ranked one higher. 6- Mickey - Keyblade master for yeaaars. Not sure if his heart is that strong though. He often saves our heroes. 7- Sora. We know his heart is probably the strongest in the series, but as shown in DDD, hes basically a glass cannon in the story. He needs a bit more toning but he will rise up the ranks during KH3. Predicted he will be #4 or 5 by the time he gets his new outfit, or maybe halfway through KH3. 8- Xemnas- bit self explanatory. But he cant really acess Kingdom Hearts anymore. 9- Roxas (whatever, yeah he's almost as strong as sora, but sora has better control of the keyblade) 10- Ansem - again, self explanatory. But as why hes under Roxas is due to the idea that post Days Roxas can defeat him. It was Riku using Ansems form that defeating him. 11- Terra. Terra hasn't really been himself lately. (you dont say?) but due to his darkness, hes more like a KH1 Riku if he came back right now. Strong but confused. Most of this is prediction 12- Xigbar and Saix/ Braig and Isa 13- Tie between Ventus, post training Lea and post training Kairi.
  3. [media][/media]Hello my fellow Keyblade wielders, Today I present you with my Kingdom Hearts 3 theory (hopefully one of many). I hope you enjoy it and would love to hear your thoughts about it. <iframe width="646" height="394" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/44A3ozNbp8A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Edit: sorry not sure how embedding works here yet. If someone can tell me I would greatly appreciate it. If there’s one thing that’s truly immersive about the Kingdom Hearts series is mystery. Despite countless installments we still feel like there’s very little we know. One of the bigger mysteries is surrounding the actual Kingdom Hearts. What we know is that it’s the source of all power and wisdom and one true gate that connects all hearts. What if it’s more? I mean, what if it’s actually a world and what if Sora would become the ruler of such power?
  4. In honor of the release date for Kingdom Hearts 2.8, I have made a Kingdom Hearts 3 Fan made trailer for fun! Enjoy! Link:
  5. I started thinking about this while I was reading the recent Famitsu interview and coming up with this topic. Since Command Styles are going to be dependent on keyblades, I thought it would be cool if the type of magic you would get is dependent of keyblades as well. That way players would go back to previously collected keyblades because it would have a load out they would need for a boss or to better fit their play style instead of just changing your keyblade because it's stronger than the one you just previously got like in a lot of KH games. For example, Kingdom Key would have all the types of magic but they would only be on the first level and Bond of Flame would just purely be fire based magic of all levels and no cure spells. So you would use Bond of Flame on someone like Demyx who is weak to fire and it would make the fight quicker, but you would be a glass canon without cure and you would need to make sure your hits count. On the other hand you could use Kingdom Key which has cure so you can at least heal and you will last longer but your fire is weaker so you would do less damage and the battle will last longer. This way no keyblade is just stronger than the other, but it will have differences that you may or may not want even though one maybe stronger than the other in strength or magic stats. This also would mean there is no one way to do a fight and every fight will be different. There could be a keyblade with all healing based magic but no attacking ones, one with magic from BBS like mega flare, one that is only limits from KH and limit form, etc. The only keyblade that would have the max level of all the basic magic would be the Ultima Weapon, but even then it wouldn't have the more unique ones that the others would have, so it would only be the best in strength and magic stats. I know this probably won't happen, but I think it would be pretty cool and another way to keep the game fresh and dynamic without the player being over powered. This idea also came to mind when I saw that Curaga in 0.2 won't take away all your MP. I also thought it would be cool if different levels of magic did different things and acted different like in days and only level one spells are the ones that let you float slide(when Sora and Aqua move while using magic).
  6. Anyone else aching to see what Kairi and Rikus new clothes will look like?Do you think a custom clothing system like Unchained X would be a good addition to the series?I for one hope we get to see their new clothes or possibly more gameplay with different characters in December.

  9. Nomura said that there would be a short prelude before the real games starts up in KH, I imagine it being similar to Roxas at the beginning of KH2,What Im REALLY hoping for though is like a cool little playthrough synopsis/medley of all of the Kingdom Hearts games till now.It could work with cutscenes mostly, but youll be able to play as KH1 Sora in the Kh1 recap and then play with Kh2 Sora for a bit and so forth, Like an interactive story in a sense if im painting this picture clear enough for you all.Idk, just brainstorming. This new 0.2 gameplay has me really hype. As does KH HDEDIT: I shouldve stated that the prelude was going to make sure everyone is caught up with the story lol, Thats why i said we'd play as the characters of the respective games lol
  10. Kingdom Hearts series director Tetsuya Nomura recently sat down with Famitsu to give an interview on Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, focusing on specific details in each of the three portions of the collection. Though the interview covered many of the same topics as the earlier Dengeki interview, Famitsu's team managed to pose some interesting questions, and received equally interesting responses. Here is a summary of each of Nomura's responses in the interview. A full translation will be added as soon as possible. In regards to Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep 0.2 -A Fragmentary Passage-: Nomura remarked on the ability for the product to be easily altered with Unreal Engine 4, especially in regards to lighting, as previously mentioned in Dengeki. What is in the demo will be in the retail version of the game. He wanted to give the players something to explore in the demo, someplace where they would have to get up high to get a lay of the land before proceeding. Nomura says KH3 will have a similar feel, where free-running to a high place and scoping out the map will be necessary. Nomura states that time has stopped in this place only, and that moving to different locations will result in different 'effects'. As in the Dengeki article, Nomura explains the battle system, and also says that the concept of Command Styles has been transferred to Keyblade Transformations in Kingdom Hearts III. Nomura calls the Heartless Swarm a 'Devils Wave', mentions they've been present since the first KH3 trailer, and that they're still not at full power. Aqua will only gain strength through leveling up--there are no new Keyblades for her to obtain. (Famitsu's interviewer hypothesizes that this is why the Command Styles remain in 0.2, when they won't really be present in KH3, where you can change Keyblades. Nomura doesn't remark on this point one way or another.) When discussing the length of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep 0.2 -A Fragmentary Passage-, Nomura says that it will feature a lot of cutscenes. The intended play order is Dream Drop Distance, then -A Fragmentary Passage-, then Kingdom Hearts III. Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep 0.2 -A Fragmentary Passage- is not exactly scrapped content from Kingdom Hearts III. It was something he felt the need to make, but Nomura didn't want to bog down the pace of storytelling in KH3 with backstory, so he separated it out and created a separate installment around it. Kingdom Hearts III will have a short prelude before the game really starts to make sure everyone is caught up. In regards to Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD: Nomura mentions the Catanuki, explaining it was something the Osaka team really wanted to add to the game. He also discusses PS4 trophies, 60fps, and the difficulties in transitioning to a game without two screens to work with. He mentions the 'spirit' of developing for the unique properties of the 3DS continues, in now developing for the unique properties of the PS4.In regards to Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover: Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover is being made with the same tech as Kingdom Hearts III. Famitsu asked directly if the Black Coat is the Foreteller's Master. Nomura says yes! He is a 'unique glue' between them, and he apparently has nicknames for each of the Foretellers. Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ has recently hit 4 million downloads, and after the North American release, there was a very strong demand to release in the EU. He is happy for this chapter of Kingdom Hearts to be brought to fans all over the world. Nomura also hints that the Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ story will soon branch from the Kingdom Hearts χ [chi] story. Kingdom Hearts χ [chi] is complete, but Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ can be considered 'Season 2'. Nomura anticipates that Kingdom Hearts III may hit Japan slightly earlier than the rest of the world, but it will be nearly simultaneous. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is in the final stages of production, with English recording currently being mastered and timed. He also told fans to please be patient and anticipate this winter for new Kingdom Hearts III information, and focus on Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue for now. Next year is the 15th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts, and also the 30th anniversary of Final Fantasy; he told fans to anticipate a lot of features next year relating to those series. Which of these answers has you most intrigued? Let us know in the comments! This post has been promoted to an article

  14. A continuation of the last theme I made for Xehanort but with additional parts (to represent multiple boss forms) and touched up sounds to make it sound over all better and more realistic. The Second segment was inspired by "Darkness of the Unknown". Hope you all enjoy.
  15. Following the official start of E3 2016, Dengeki has posted a new interview with Kingdom Hearts series director Tetsuya Nomura focusing on the newly revealed Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue demo that premiered at E3 2016 as well as other details surrounding the game and it's development in conjunction with Kingdom Hearts III. Here are a few snippets gathered from the interview. [*]Even though the news is not incoming as quickly as fans would hope, development is not delayed [*]Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep 0.2 -A Fragmentary Passage- being the length of one world pertains more to the length of one world in Kingdom Hearts III. Tetsuya Nomura promises that this volume will be a decent length. [*]The battle system in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep 0.2 -A Fragmentary Passage- is a mixture of Birth by Sleep as well as Kingdom Hearts III; the command deck is not present but special attacks and such consume MP as they would in previous games like Kingdom Hearts II. Magic will effect the surrounding area, as previously talked about for Kingdom Hearts III. Using magic in different sequences will also create different effects on enemies (such as using Blizzard and then Thunder). [*]Lighting is something they focused on a lot during design for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts III even though it hasn't been much of a major focus previously in the series. [*]Height within the playable features of the world is something that was also focused on for these games. [*]Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD plays with 60 frames per second. [*]A new Dream Eater is introduced in the version of Dream Drop Distance included in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue named Catnuki (or Pondanyan in Japanese) which is a combination of a cat and a racoon dog (more commonly known as a Tanuki) [*]Tetsuya Nomura would like to give more Kingdom Hearts III news but at the moment it is important to focus on Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue so he asks fans to please look forward to winter of this year for more news. [*]Information will be released regularly from Autumn until launch in December for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue [*]Tetsuya Nomura is hoping to get a playable demo for their Japanese audience to experience. Correction to the previous translation: Tetsuya Nomura talks about the possibility of another installment of TWEWY itself (as in a sequel) being difficult rather than it's involvement in the Kingdom Hearts series. Some screenshots of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue were also included with the interview. You may find those below. What are you most excited for in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue in relation to it's relationship with Kingdom Hearts III? Let us know in the comments! Click here to view the article

  20. What feature of Kingdom Hearts III do you hope will be revealed at E3?
  21. What up everyone! How's it going? Well today I decided to another fan-made KHUx medal, but this time I decided to dd a Rapunzel medal. My main reason why I decided to do Rapunzel was that I'm very excited to see a Tangled world in Kingdom Hearts 3! Plus not to mention I watch the movie a few days ago, and I was like, "Oh yeah! That's right a Tangled world is going to be in Kingdom Hearts 3." And I really Rapunzel and I'm very curious about what her interactions would be like when she meets Sora, Donald, and Goofy. Please enjoy this Rapunzel Medal and see you later with my next fan-made KHUx medal!!!
  22. So, ever since I heard about Kingdom Hearts, I've wanted to have my favorite movie of all time be in the game. I've been wanting to see a world based on the Toy Story franchise, but a few things have occured to me. The logic of the Toy Story movies (going into toy-mode when humans are around, mainly) restricts things you can do with the story (no Claw Machine boss fight, you can't really do anything when humans are around). The movies have locations a bit too big for their own britches. Even the first movie has no less than six main locations (Andy's house, the Gas Station, Pizza Planet, Sid's House, the streets where the chase takes place and Andy's new house), so you'd have to figure out how to get to each place outside of the world's story. Doing just one Toy Story movie loses out on the rest of the series. Doing the first Toy Story movie as the world in a KH game means you lose characters like Jessie, Bullseye, Lotso, Bonnie, Reptilius, etc. You also lose the possibility of venturing into the world of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. Doing the movies means that the villains of each movie (Sid, the Prospector, Zurg and Lotso) can't really be part of the Disney Villain gatherings. So here's my idea. Don't base it off the movies. Base it off Disney Infinity's Toy Story in Space playset and the playtime fantasy of Toy Story 3. The world would be two parts: the western town (Woody's Roundup) and the space portion (Toy Story in Space/Buzz Lightyear of Star Command). The western portion focuses on the characters and toys from Andy's room and Bonnie's room, while the Buzz side can have a lot more leg room with the side characters (include the characters from Buzz Lightyear of Star Command and Toy Story That Time Forgot or even the mutant toys as weird amalgam experiments). The only characters you really lose are the human characters (which isn't really a loss, considering we watch Toy Story for the toy characters). What do you think?
