  1. I don't normally like being a killjoy; however I'm here today to perhaps voice what might be an unpopular opinion about transformation. Here's a few reasons why I hope Sora doesn't become another Merman/Lion/Frog etc unless there are needed changes. Let's get this straight; I appreciated the Pride Lands plot and even Atlantica's plot in KH1 ( I'm still having nightmares about Donald's singing from Kh2...). However my issue with both worlds was the fact we got transformed. Yes it's a cool concept however.... 1) the control- Merman Sora I'm sorry in KH1 was an absolute nightmare to control; you spend the whole game getting used to the camera/the movement settings then all of a sudden it's redundant in Atlantica. Part from getting lost which wasn't a huge task; one of the main issues was with the controls; it wasn't fun in the end. The same applies for Lion Sora; yes he was easier to control and was more in tune to normal Sora; but there's no denying he was a Lion Flash and it did help make a huge workd easier to navigate: there were plenty of times you'd have to double back on yourself to fight heartless; over look a treasure chest etc. It wasn't perfect either. 2) loss of abilities- this is a real kick in the teeth for me; you work hard levelling up for abilities; you equip abilities Which benefit you; then once again you transform and a lot of your abilities become redundant. This was seriously annoying; yes I gather there needs to be a sense of realism eg you can't have aerial combat underwater; however to strip us down isn't benefiting the player; but a hinderance. Also there is no guarantee if we transform in Kh3 we'll be able to use abilities such as Keyblade transformations/attraction flow etc and due to the fact this game will be more intense; the more options I have in battle the better. I'd rather not be in a situation where I could use aid; but can't because ( example only) I'm a blasted bear cub in a Brother Bear world. In situations like that the coolness of transforming doesn't outweigh the restrictions of abilities. That being said; I really don't like being a killjoy so there are a few ways if used to rectify the situation; then transforming should not be an issue. 1) control- if they insist on transforming us; do not make the control alien to the player; keep it simple and keep it the same way as any other world. Also keep Sora's speed the same in all world's; excluding a quick run ability if it's implemented. This will again keep things smooth. 2) do not restrict our essential abilities- like I said before; sometimes in order to keep things realistic; some abilities will need to be restricted; such as no aerial combat underwater etc. However allow us to keep crucial abilities; combat abilities and due to the map scale of kh3 flow motion. Thereby enhancing rather than hindering the player. 3) make us make the most use of our forms- by this I mean; make the forms feel unique and fun; etc if we become a frog; make us make use of the ability to swim underwater; take camouflage amongst lilies to avoid heartless detecting us; squeeze through smaller gaps. That would be perfectly fine and whilst the Pride Lands were ok; imagine how much more cooler it would have been to have been able to stalk heartless using a stealth Attack; ( seeing as npcs will help the fight) have the other lionesses help lead the heartless to you for Attack etc. That would be clever actually and would make it enjoyable. Overall; transforming at its current state is nothing short of a pain to the players in reality and if it is to return in KH3 needs vital changes; otherwise in my opinion- human sora is perfectly fine by me.
  2. What do you think the all so handsome...Muscular...Whoa, sorry inner fangirl showing. What do you think Terra's role will be in KH3
  3. I was reminiscing about last year's E3 trailer and was thinking about interesting topics to talk about ( I did consider a post about the different geographical areas of the game- yet I don't think many would care about a post about mountains; rivers and fields etc) and decided to argue my case on why we should play as Young Xehanort in the introduction; from a plot perspective and necessity. Starting with the most important and obvious reason: 1) we actually don't know a lot about his backstory- we know he got off the Islands ( somehow), we know he becomes a keyblade wielder ( somehow), we know he is trained by a master who loves the story about the lost masters ( cough foretellers) ( also someone). Yet whilst we know about Old Man Xehanort and his current ambitions. We do not know: how Xehanort became a keyblade wielders; how he later obtains the keyblade we are accustomed to him wearing; how and why he became obsessed with the keyblade war ( by this I mean was it his master's charisma/Xehanort being power hungry/Altruistic intentions etc); what worlds he attended to in his youth; the list actually goes on. Whilst we could learn this from playing as Eraqus; I'd argue playing as Xehanort will allow us to explore the character on a much needed personal level. If we fully understand the character then we can either have more intentions to defeat him or feel for him when he is defeated. 2) playing as the ' good guy's' is getting dull- yes; I know we will take control of Sora who is undoubtedly a hero; but I mean for a change; albeit a small one . It would be fun to play as a bad guy for once; who knows we might even be able to dab into darker areas from a gameplay perspective too? 3) gives us a valid reason to return to Dive To The Heart- I'd be willing to wager this section of the game returns; I mean it enables us to choose between the Sword/Shield/Staff ( always the shield) which determines the abilities we gain through levelling up; however Sora; Roxas and Ven have been there and yes I'm aware there are multiple other characters who could go there; enabling the player to essentially choose Young Xehanort's path is way too tempting. Not only does it allow us a legit reason to return: but also helps us connect to Xehanort too. If we choose his path; then technically we have set the course for what will eventually play in the KH games thus far; which I feel would be a neat touch. 4) playing as young Eraqus wouldn't answer all the questions- this links to my first point; yes it would be cool to play as Eraqus; however we'd still be none the wiser to a lot of answers; which wouldn't help the plot. Therefore I'd have nothing against having cutscenes exclusive to Eraqus; but I feel as mentioned above; playing as Young Xehanort would be excellent to providing needed answers. 5) the chess scene is the start of the game- I'm anticipating the response that people will want either exclusive Sora Intro/ Kairi in training etc. However we know for a fact this is the start: so it wouldn't make sense to show this then have someone else such as Kairi playable in the intro. I fully support the concept for having the Intro during this timeline rather than currently as I feel we'll gain more out of it story wise. Also how random would it be to have inevitable sentences which only Nomura fully understands; a funky song followed by the chess scene then bam here's Kairi to play as. I know I for one would be seriously puzzled. So; that's a few reasons. For me the perfect Intro would be the inevitable sentences which make no sense; a funky song followed by the chess scene; then allowing us to fully explore the secrets and backstory of our main antagonist; perhaps even swaying a few people to his side?, neatly setting the scene for the game; before switching back to the Mysterious Tower and cue the game as Sora.
  4. dlc's are becoming really popular lately and i was wondering if kingdom hearts 3 had dlc what would you like to see from it? or would you rather not have it at all? personally i think it would be cool to buy some alternate outfits or maybe some keyblades, but i would hate buying more worlds to explore because that just seems like purchasing more of the story which should already be in the game
  5. https://youtu.be/jM4pVQlMLM0 I made a final battle theme that I thought could match at least one of many forms I'm sure Xehanort will have in KH3. I made sure to implement the choir as I thought it would match the mood. Just wanted to share
  6. I hope so because it fits in soo well! 1-10 what do you thinks the odds or for a worldor a summon?
  7. In KH2, we fought an army of 1,000 Emblem Heartless. In KH3, it'd be absolutely amazing if that would happen again. Except Sora is much stronger now, so the fight would most likely be over very quickly. The amount of Heartless we fight should be increased. To 2,000 Heartless? Nah, that would most likely still be too quick of a fight. I think it'd be great if we fought 10,000 Heartless in KH3. That would truly show how much stronger Sora has become. I also think it'd make it even more interesting if it were an 10,000 Pureblood Heartless this time around instead of Emblem Heartless. It could be made up of Shadows, Neoshadows, Dark Balls, Invisibles, and maybe even a few Gigas Shadows, Mega-Shadows, AntiSoras, and Darksides. What are your thoughts on this idea?
  8. Brought to you by Zeldablade7 You thought it was KH3...but IT WAS ME, DIO!
  9. So I've had this idea for a while. This is supposed to be an alternate timeline where the series is darker than the original one. Note that this is just a random chapter and not the actual start of the story. Originally I wasn't going to write this story, but i was in a writing mood today and was thinking about Kingdom Hearts so I decided to write about this part. I'm afraid I might not actually write the whole story and might instead just add major plot chapters instead. Part of this is because I honestly don't know how I would write the parts that are related to Disney worlds since there isn't much I can change without ruining the essence of the Disney worlds. Anyways I need to sleep Do give this a read and tell me what you guys think and if you would like to see more of this story (possibly the whole thing) in the future. Might just give me motivation to write the whole thing. Chapter (??) DROWNING LIGHT Not long after, the trio walked out of the dark corridor to see a familiar yet daunting sight. The dark, rainy sky coupled with the murky, uninviting atmosphere brought back memories and certainly not happy ones. Not much had changed in The Realm Of Darkness, not much except - as Riku and Mickey immediately noticed - for the fact that the once majestic castle at the center of it all was just barely visible. Only the top of castle's ramparts and towers could be seen amidst the shadows of the several tall buildings in what always seemed to be the central hub of the Realm Of Darkness. "We better hurry", said Riku. Kairi, who was focused on her surroundings, flinched. This part of the Realm Of Darkness certainly felt more terrifying than the castle. "Don't forget, Kairi, we're going to hafta be really alert here. The Realm Of Darkness is a scary place", Mickey told her. Kairi nodded, and the trio began moving towards the darker, rockier area, further and further away from the tall buildings. Kairi kept looking around, her Keyblade at the ready, half expecting a group of Heartless to ambush them any second. She wondered if Master Yen Sid really knew what he was doing, sending her to this place. "Riku, Mickey, you two shall take Kairi with you", Yen Sid ordered, shocking everyone in the room. "But Master Yen Sid, won't that be too dangerous?", Mickey argued. "Maybe you ought to send me instead?", Lea suggested. Master Yen Sid shook his head. "Xehanort is a cunning man, he may have even set traps for Kairi in many of the worlds, but even he may not have considered the idea of us sending Kairi to The Realm Of Darkness on her first mission. It is also safe to assume that many of the events after the Mark Of Mastery exam are no longer events Xehanort can fully predict. Our most recent incident in Twilight Town was something perhaps nobody could have predicted. I believe young Kairi has been trained well enough to hold her own against an enemy, she only needs experience now. Keeping all this in mind, I decided it was best to send her with Mickey and Riku", Yen Sid explained. Everyone looked at Kairi and at each other. It sounded like a big risk, but they could not argue with him. "Don't worry everyone, I'll be fine. I'm going with Riku and the King after all", Kairi tried to assure everyone. When everyone had departed on their missions, Yen Sid laid back in his chair. "This young girl has a far more important task to perform on this mission than everyone thinks. I trust Kairi will be the one to save her when the time comes". The trio continued walking through the rocky terrain. Kairi pinched her arm. "Nope, not a nightmare", she thought, "we're actually here for real". Strange spiky pillars and glowing blue rocks surrounded them, the atmosphere around them had a purple and red mist. There was a certain beauty to this terrifying place. They had been walking and searching for a while and at this point something certainly made them all feel more worried. Where are all the Heartless and Nobodies? The Realm Of Darkness was swarming with them the last time they were here, but now there wasn't a single creature in sight. Kairi's thoughts drifted towards Sora. Where was he? What was he doing? Would everyone be able to return home safely at the end of this journey? Will they really put a stop to Xehanort? Will they- Kairi's focus shifted towards Mickey who looked really depressed. "Is everything okay, Your Majesty?", she asked him, though she already knew what troubled him. "I'm just...so worried", Mickey replied," Master Yen Sid said her light has become so faint, he can barely see it. Master Aqua has been down here for so long I just....I just hope we can get to her in time". "We will! We're getting close to the area where Master Yen Sid told us she might be. Just a short walk and we'll save her", Riku assured Mickey. "I hope s- THERE! A NOBODY", Mickey exclaimed, pointing towards a large group of Dusk Nobodies who seemed to be rushing towards something. A group of them noticed the trio and began charging towards them. "Get ready!", Riku yelled, taking down two of them with one swing of his Keyblade. Kairi looked towards Mickey who had already sliced through four of them. Kairi knew that at this rate, there wouldn't be any left for her so she charged towards the nearest one. Kairi swung her Keyblade, hoping to take it by surprise, but the Dusk executed a dodge that would be impossible for any other creature and got around to her side. Kairi managed to block it's strike and the contact with her Keyblade caused the Dusk to become stunned. Taking advantage, Kairi attacked again, successfully beating her first enemy. She turned around with the widest possible smile on her face. "Guys! I DID IT! I actually beat my first Nobody!", she yelled to her partners, both of whom had finished off all the Nobodies that attacked them. "KAIRI LOOK OUT!", Mickey yelled. Kairi turned around to see a Nobody attacking from above her in a strange spinning motion as her eyes widened and her body prepared itself for the impact. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a small glow on her Keyblade and then, almost as if her Keyblade had controlled her, she moved out of harm's way and appeared behind the Nobody which had now become tangled up in it's own limbs, looking around in confusion - Dusks were kind of stupid that way. Immediately realizing her Keyblade had moved her out of the way she seized the opportunity and struck down the Nobody. Two points for Kairi; zero for the Dusks. "That was close", said Riku. Kairi smiled at him and Mickey, both of whom smiled back. "Now come on! We hafta see where those other Nobodies were going!", Mickey said, running off towards a path hidden by some of the spiky pillars and glowing rocks. They arrived at the beach to find a large horde of Dusks walking towards the sea and they appeared to be fighting someone. The trio heard a loud, terrifying noise that sounded like a mix between a roar and a screech. One bright streak of purple light cut through the Dusks, annihilating them instantly. Right in front of the trio stood a strange, humanoid figure, it appeared to have an armour made of darkness that covered its entire body, but that was not what bothered the trio as much as the weapon the figure held. "That Keyblade! It's- oh no", Mickey was in shock," M-Master Aqua...? It's me! Your old pal Mickey!". Mickey de-materialised his Keyblade and began to approach her."Aqua, it's me". Master Aqua clutched her head and growled, raising Eraqus' Keyblade. "KING MICKEY LOOK OUT", Riku yelled as he dived towards Mickey, pushing the disillusioned king out of the way as an orb made of light and dark exploded where Mickey was standing. "Your Majesty, we have to fight her! She's too dangerous right now, if we weaken her we might have a better chance at saving her", Riku told Mickey. "Alright", Mickey summoned his Keyblade. "Forgive me, Master Aqua", he mumbled to himself as he got ready to fight. "I'm sorry your first mission turned out to be so dangerous. Just stay back and let us take care of this, alright?", Riku said to Kairi. The duo rushed in and the fight began. Master Aqua, The Faded Welp so here it is. I can't guarantee I'll eventually get around to writing this whole story since that would require me to watch a few Disney movies, which I won't have time for until June. Hope you enjoyed.
  10. As a starting point; I'm aware some people might get offended by this topic; but as I respect other's opinions I ask the same for my own. Today's topic is about Xion. For those who love her ( I'm aware people do); I'd really like to understand why? However I'd also like to voice my grievances with her as a character too. Firstly; let's get the controversial point out of the way first- arguably her most memorable moment in 358/2 days was her fading away. However my grievance here is: if the character's greatest ' achievement/memory' is a death then there is an issue, yes I gather it had an impact on Roxas emotionally; but if I ask people to name a top 5 Xion moments list ( her death will top most lists and realistically what other events can fill the list which makes her unique?) Secondly; if she does return in Kh3 ( which due to fan service I believe she will), her death becomes significantly less emotional than if she remains ' dead'. At the current moment she has physically gone and she isn't remembered which is a cruel fate; however if she returns then I'd argue it's diminished due to the fact it's not permeant. Thirdly; what Days does do well in my opinion is highlight the friendship between Axel and Roxas and makes Axel's ambitions throughout KH2 even more noble and tragic. We see the development of how Axel was always there for Roxas and how the absence of one affected the other. This is strengthened in KH2 final mix with the symbolic farewell between the two friends; with both characters in tears ( this is where I admit I was close to joining them). I can't help, but feel Xion is a ' tag-a-long' friend. The person who is more on the side. If she was a love interest for Roxas I'd too have more sympathy for her; however Naminè I'd argue fills that role more ( she has a stronger connection to return I feel). Even if we compare other female lead characters ( Aqua- represents an elder sister/mother role for Ven and a sister role for Terra, Kairi in terms of KH1 was an interest for both Sora and Riku and as the series has advanced has become Sora's driving force as well as being a POH). fourthly; this is more a list of a few things moulded into one paragraph. 1) is she needed for the series to develop?- no is the honest answer ( TAV from what Yen Sid has indicated are needed for the upcoming war, Roxas I believe will become as has been mentioned before by others a denizen of the twilight ( I feel he has potential to wield if there is a Keyblade of the Realm of In Between, adding more depth to his character; Lea returning to Radiant Garden sets up future interactions), but where would Xion go? Yes she was created in CO; however that's likely to be transformed back to the Land of Departure ( Cable Town??), but where would she go and how would she develop? Again I feel she'd be a tag a long character or a Cameo character. 2) she's hardly the most stimulating character- I'm not being harsh here; but in terms of personality and engagement would she make a top 5? Or even a top 10? I don't find her connectable; Sora ;people can relate to an optimistic person, with Riku; people can relate to people who overcome hard trials to succeed. Terra; everyone has a desire to achieve and a lot will go to tremendous steps to achieve it. Even my boy Luxord; people probably know a gambler or someone who analyses in that manner. My list goes on; Kingdom Hearts charactees are relatable; I don't feel Xion has that affect. I gather this will be controversial to some; and I seriously do welcome people saying why they like her; a lot of the characters I like most can't stand ( Luxord and Marluxia); so different tastes are reflected in the series/community. However as I said to start with; I was not aiming to offend and I hope people respect my opinions here and upon reflection can understand what I outlined here.
  11. When the likes of Ephemera appeared in Chi, people automatically jumped on the bandwagon that he could be a seeker of darkness. I myself was semi sympathetic; semi skeptical. Carrying on when Skuld was introduced again people jumped on the bandwagon. Yet excluding the rebirth theory ( which off topic I'm still not a fan of) or some more complicated time travel rubbish, it didn't add up how they could appear in modern times. However, I think this has changed without the need for Xehanort to be alive during the chi era adding a realistic prospective for a change. In the last story update Master Ava expressed knowledge of the up coming keyblade war and revealed her plans to create Dandelions ( awful name I know- especially since they are weeds) to send a special group of keyblade wielders to another world to escape the upcoming war. If Square did wish to pursue this to modern times; then this could work within the storyline. Time flows differently depending on what realm you are in, so I propose the dandelions were sent to another realm. We've seen the Realms of light; darkness; sleep, inbetween. so it's extremely plausible there are other unknown realms out there; therefore if such realm exists then time would flow differently to that of the realm of light where the majority of the series takes place. We know the keyblade war is a historic fact and I hate to break it to people but our own individual characters will probably die ( cheery thought). We also know the worlds were remade and were not United anymore; however I question whether the dandelions were successful. Kairi's grandmother in her fairytale story refers to the light of children being the cause for this. I do not believe these were the dandelions at all; after all if that was the case; one would expect a lot more wielders to present or a wider knowledge; also as those of you know fairy tales focus on all aspects and there isn't record of a ' key shaped weapon' or ' valiant Warriors'. Thereby I conclude the dandelions are still where Ava sent them. This links to KH3 due to the fact if they are lost; you could have a hunt to find them. The idea of Xehanort knowing about this isn't unrealistic; especially since his master or the master's master could have been around to remember that individuals disappeared before the keyblade war. Thus making them the subject of legends almost like a concept of hidden treasure. To provide a brief summary- consider the dandelions like King Arthur in British folklore, powerful and wise and waiting for a return. The interesting outcome would be how precious keyblade wielders adapt the new world they might find themselves in and that could be exploited to serve the darkness either as an ally to Xehanort or as a future antagonist
  12. Master Xehanort Ansem, Seeker of Darkness Xemnas Young Xehanort Xigbar (Wields Unicornis Keyblade) Saix (Wields Anguis Keyblade) Luxord (Wields Leopardos Keyblade) Marluxia (Wields Vulpeus Keyblade) Terranort (Wields Ursus Keyblade) Ephemera Skuld Vanitas Xion (Wields End of Pain Keyblade) I suppose there’s inevitable questions in the way I have ordered the Seeker of Darkness. So, I’ll do my best to try and answer them. 1) Why do some of the Seekers have Foreteller keyblades? Surely they’d have keyblades of their own? Yes, that is a possibility, however, hear me out, the Keyblades of the Foretellers have the Eye of Darkness. Aside the foretellers, Xehanort and people who have closely worked with him or his incarnation (Vanitas/Riku) are only other characters with Keyblades that have the eye of Darkness. My theory is that Xehanort provides these Seekers with their respected Keyblades by using the Eye of Darkness to summon the Foreteller keyblades to them using his ancient Keyblade. After all, it is the initial reason why Braig joined Xehanort’s cause. He wanted a Keyblade of his own. And as far as Vanitas goes, he probably switched his Keyblade as the Foreteller Keyblade is inevitably stronger than the Keyblade that he currently posses. 2) Why is Marluxia in the list? To be a vessel for Xehanort, you don’t have to be willing to Xehanort’s cause to be a vessel. Sora was going to be a Seeker of Darkness at the end of Kingdom Hearts 3D before he was saved. In the Keyblade Graveyard, Terra tried to stop Master Xehanort from using his body as a vessel by deflecting it with his armour, but, it was too late. Plus, in recent interviews, Nomura has hinted that Marluxia is dabbling in The Kingdom of Coronia (as hinted by the nobodies that reside there). Nomura has also said in interviews that the Disney worlds are more linked to the overall narrative of Kingdom Hearts as opposed to being secluded to the movie's narrative. Maybe he's hunting down the King and Queen of Coronia because they have valuable information or has an interest in Rapunzel's healing powers (I digress, let me go back to my initial topic). 3) Why is Ephemera and Skuld members? They never existed during Xehanort's time? Well, there’s one of two hypothetical scenarios in which Ephemera and Skuld could end up being a seeker. Scenario 1 would be that these three may be simulations that enter the real world. In Re: Coded, Data Sora grew a heart when Donald and Goofy tried to protect him from Pete in digital Hollow Bastion. In Kingdom Hearts II, we see heartless invading Radiant Garden that came from Space Paranoids: proving that transference from the digital world to the real world is possible. Scenario 2 is that a version of Xehanort existed during the time of Kingdom Hearts X (presumably delving into the Unchained realm) and somehow transferred his heart to them in order to transform them into Seekers. 4) Why is Xion the final member? isn't she resting in Sora's heart? Yes, she is. However, my theory with Xion is that, during 358/2 Days, when Xemnas was modifying an unconscious Xion, Xemnas placed a fraction of his into her (hence Xion providing the message to tell Roxas to stop Xemnas gaining hearts before she fades). But then that begs the question, why is Sora not norted if Xion is resting in her? Simple: because only Xion mind and heart is in Sora, Xion's body was never a definitive body to begin with: she was a literal puppet. Riku sees Xion's body as Sora and Xigbar sees Xion's body as Ventus. Her synthetic body was the only element of her that never belonged to Sora. Her mind and heart were extensions of Sora's: her body was artificially created from Xion's mind and heart.
  13. Honestly, it's getting to the point of ludicrousy, E3 isn't too far away, and besides, for every moment Nomura and Yasue are not giving interviews, they're speeding up development. It's a bit problematic because I'm starting to see the same topics phrased in different ways just to maintain "hype". Ladies and gentlemen, let Kingdom Hearts have its quiet moments.
  14. How do you guys feel on this, I was just wondering. I disagree personally.
  15. I actually don't see many discussions regarding gameplay mechanics of KH3 in comparison to the massive amount of story theories and speculations, so I figured, to spice things up a little, I'm gonna ask all of y'all a question that I've been wondering about for a while now. What type of Level 1 playthrough do you want for KH3? (Under the assumption that KH3 will have the option for you to play through at level 1) That sounds really vague, but I'll clarify now: In KH1FMHD and KHBBSHD, level 1 in those games came with strange properties. The ability "EXP Zero" basically gave you boosts so that you wouldn't be ridiculously weak and deal chip damage by end-game. Simply put; they buffed certain aspects of your attacks, and in KH1, puts a damage cap on enemies so that they can't kill you in one hit even if you're fighting against a battle level 99 enemy. For example, fighting Sephiroth in KH1 would most definitely kill you in one hit at level 1; however with EXP Zero equipped, you can survive up to 3 hits from him (or something like that). Meanwhile in KH2FM, there was damage scaling. This meant that the damage you deal is automatically scaled to the battle level of the world. If you were level 1, but in a battle level 99 area, you would be dealing the minimum damage you can deal in a battle level 99 area, which is probably around level 50 damage normally or so. Basically what this means is that you would be dealing the same damage at Level 1 as Level 49 in this area, because your damage is automatically scaled up. This applies to all other areas; basically, it prevents chip damage. However this scale only applies to Strength and Magic, so you are just as vulnerable in terms of Defense, meaning enemies late game will kill you in 1 hit. Personally I thought the 2FM system was genius, as it prevented the game from being super tedious and boring, but also provided an exciting and difficult challenge. It didn't only apply to level 1 either; for example, if you were, say, 20 levels underleved in an area, you wouldn't be dealing chip damage; your damage would instead be scaled up according to the battle level of the area. Chip damage was a thing in BBS (psp) at level 1; they didn't have damage scaling, so you would be doing absolutely nothing to enemies at Level 1, making the game almost impossible in some areas. They fixed this in BBSHD by adding hidden properties to EXP Zero, but I personally liked the KH2 system better; no hidden properties of the ability, but instead, hidden game mechanics to make the game better designed around a low level/level 1 playthrough. So I'd love to see the 2FM damage scaling system back in KH3. What about you guys?
  16. As of the 22nd of April, Square Enix has announced the cancellation of their long awaited title: Kingdom Hearts III. Since the game was originally announced at E3 2013, along with Final Fantasy XV, fans expressed their feelings on YouTube that day with several videos, along with there being much excitement for the release of the game and the conclusion to the eponymous "Xehanort Saga". Development for this game however had been very tough, according to Series Creator and Director: Tetsuya Nomura, who had this to say to Kotaku in a recent interview: So this is very sad news indeed and we here at KH13 would like to extend our deepest sympathies to all of you who were excited for this game, and those of you who could not have cared less...THIS IS YOUR FAULT you have a good day. As much as we cannot truly compensate any of you for what has transpired, especially for the Kingdom Hearts Series, we can offer a some consolation for you. We do love you all truly and we will cherish the souls you offered to us when you signed up. So here...take this: Have a splendid day.
  17. 1. Keep in mind that it's only a delay if the game has a set release date, which KH3 currently doesn't have. 2. Be careful with your answers, producer Shinji Hashimoto is out there ready to troll.

    KH3: Sora and Kairi?

I dunno what to post first but here's a picture that I made ages ago and still really proud about it. I would like to see a moment like this in KH3 with this two heh. Credits: Picture editing and model posing are made by me. But please go here for the models credit http://khstyler-chan.deviantart.com/art/KH3-Sokai-548788185 ( You are allowed to use this but please credit me! )
  19. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQbvBYzpAPUI'm perfectly fine with Multiple Playable Characters, as long as they do it correctly and if it doesn't take away from Sora. Im alright with it
  20. If I personally had to choose a world I'd want to return in the series it would have to be Traverse Town, this was where everything basically started and I would love for it to return in Kingdom Hearts 3! If I had to choose a Disney world though it would be the Hunchback of Notre Dome world from Kingdom Hearts DDD
  21. So I was thinking: The Marvel and Star Wars properties are now all owned by Disney as we all know, and while I thought about them being featured in Kingdom Hearts 3 for awhile, I also thought there is no way it could possibly work with the MCU and numbered Star Wars movies. But what if instead, they used worlds and stories based upon the Animated Avengers Assemble universe and Star Wars Clone Wars/Rebels timeline. It seems to fit the Kingdom Hearts adventures perfectly. Disney Infinity seemed to have pulled it off for the most part, the only downside I found with Disney infinity 2.0 and 3.0 was that it was a very kiddish and repetitive game even with their extreme difficulty mode, Not that I really want to get into that because that was their general target market. But seriously guys imagine battling it out with Darth Maul...
  22. When the game was first announced many people were irritated by another ' side game' being released by Square. However I disagreed then and I still hold the opinion even more so now that 2.8 is a blessing and well needed. 1) Most important reason ( imo) is that we've hit a brick wall with KH3, we've reverted to what world do you want... Is this world likely to appear even more so... And even worse the negativity has increased tremendously; however this isn't a rant about that... ( believe me I could). Heck people are even excited over a voice actor not recording which is actually a joke. Therefore 2.8 provides us with something NEW to talk about. I have no doubt 0.2 from a lore perspective will provide loads of new topics, eg why did Mickey keep this a secret? How has Aqua found a way to save Terra and Ven? Does this mean Lea isn't a light? Has Sora returned yet; is he a master now? Even in the space of a minute I've thought of new topics to discuss. 2) Back Cover- I included this in a separate paragraph for a number of reasons. Firstly the release of unchained chi ( hello to anyone from my party reading this) has given us something to play and work on until further notice; the plot will be relevant to 3 and also watching back cover will provide us with a complete picture. Also Back Cover has the potential to either dismiss the rebirth theory or greatly enhance it. Again this kick start a debate which we lack real evidence for in the long run. 3) Dream Drop Distance- whilst an old entry to the series; comparing and contrasting the gameplay between the 3ds and ps4 will be fun and it will be interesting to identify differences. 4) first hand look at the Kingdom Shader- this will answer a lot of people's questions regarding the graphics and design of the game 5) character design- I'm sure we all remember the reactions to Mr Shiny Forehead, sorry Yen Sid's design, I for one made a post about good the door and take looked instead; yes I am sad enough to appreciate the surroundings in games- don't mock me, even though you probably will. 2.8 will allow us to see the progress in character designs from that trailer and get an idea what they'll look like in 3. 6) this game serves no harm- I doubt kh3 was scheduled for this year regardless whether this game was a thing or not. Therefore we only gained by having the game being released; we get an old game to enjoy again, a cool film and a new game. Nobody can knock this or would you rather have nothing? Overall, 2.8 is a blessing and I'm throughly looking forward to playing the games/watching the movie and engaging in new debates with people, predicting what the future has in store for us. It is a good time to be a KH fan and we should enjoy ourselves instead of looking for issues all the time. I have a saying ( pun not intended due to my name) that if you look for negatives you'll only find negatives and never see the positives in anything. Have a great weekend whatever you're doing!
  23. In a few days, I have seen a countless number of times people are either talking about how they are worried about KH3, worried about the Osaka team and the job they will do, and even to the point where someone (I won't say who out of respect) thought they needed to start a support ring for the Osaka because the team seems to be in need of emotional support and is struggling and can't do it unless we support them. Really? Are you kidding me? People, STOP WORRYING ABOUT KINGDOM HEARTS 3!!! Why are people getting all antsy and nervous and uncomfortable about it? The E3 and Jump Festa trailers weren't enough for you? What else could they possibly do to make you satisfied and stop worrying? It isn't so much as why people are worrying, but don't you see how stupid it is to worry? Tell me something, can you control how they work on KH3 and what they do with it? If you can't, then you have no right to worry whatsoever. Besides, there are better and more important things to worry about then how a game is being developed and what's being put in it especially since you have no control over the process at all. Yes, Kingdom Hearts 3 will be an amazing title and Nomura has said there are high standards out there, but these high standards are by OUR making, not his nor SQEX's. If KH3 does not meet all standards, it will be our fault, not theirs. We made the over the top standards and it will be our fault if we are disappointed. Nomura and company give their all like they always have, but because of unrealistic and unreasonable standards, we will be at fault for any disappointment we may have. So with all of this said, stop worrying about what we can't control, have faith they won't disappoint, not create imaginary impossible standards, and move on with our lives.
