  1. After seeing the e3 2015 trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3, I was really interested and excited about our first look at young master Eraqus that I started working on a drawing of him. I'll probably upload the finished one to the gallery once I'm done.
  2. This is from the Square Enix presents KH spotlight. gamers joint beat me to the punch .
  3. In the , we saw some of the magic and abilities that Sora, Donald, and Goofy have to offer. We're going to take a closer look to see what those abilities are! As soon as the conversation between Young Xehanort and Young Eraqus ends, we see Sora climb over a ledge to continue forward. With a quick eye, you can see some sparkles right before Sora reaches the ledge. We can assume that this means Sora can't regularly jump over it, so he has to use a certain ability to get over it. After encountering the new water-type Heartless in this world, we see Sora casting multiple Fire spells on the enemies and casting a large Fire spell after doing an air-combo. The Fire was most likely used as a Finisher. With the battle between the flying Heartless enemies, Fire was used off-screen, so we can assume that it was Donald who used it. When Sora and the group encounter the new Gladiator-type Heartless, it appears that Sora, Donald, and Goofy are using a Trinity version of the Goofy Charge, and they use it against the Heartless. In the next scene, we see Sora running up a wall and heading toward the Rock Titan with rocks falling toward him. Sora is using the new ability called "free run". Once Sora reaches the top of the cliff, Sora moves from the feet of the Rock Titan to the head area. After an attack on the foot of the Titan, Sora summons the Big Magic Mountain attraction that we saw in the , and her starts to attack the Titan. After Sora and the gang reach the Tangled world, with Sora donning his new clothes, they're faced against dandelion-like Heartless, and Sora uses an Aero spell as an offensive attack. Soon after that, Sora uses a Keyblade Transformation and transforms his new Keyblade, which looks like the Keyblade many people saw at the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX launch party, into the Two Shot Blaster, and then into a large cannon. The next scene shows Sora once again using Aero spells, but moving at the same time. Next, we see Sora summoning the Pirate Ship and defeating the Heartless in the world. In Twilight Town, Sora uses Blizzard and slides on the trail it left, into a Blizzard jump-pad, and Sora comes down using the Two Shot Blaster and, we're assuming, Blizzard. In the same scene, Sora bounces off the wall, where the covered up hole is, and attacks the Big Body similarly to how Sora attacks in Dream Drop Distance with Flowmotion. Still in Twilight Town, Sora summons three giant Teacups, similar to the Mad Tea Party ride in the Magic Kingdom theme park, and Sora, Donald, and Goofy are inside of them spinning until they come together to use a Finish. Lastly, Sora transforms his Keyblade, that seems to be obtained from the Hercules world, from a giant sword, to a shield, to chariot with Pegasus leading it while lightning strikes the enemies. So what do you think of our analysis? And if we missed anything, please tell us in the comments below! Click here to view the article

  5. To continue on with our trailer analysis series, let's take a look at the chess pieces Young Xehanort and Young Eraqus are using in the Each piece seems to have a symbol on the top, which we noticed could correspond to characters in the Kingdom Hearts series, more specifically, the seven lights and the thirteen darknesses. Thanks to Tumblr user freeshooterxig, some of these symbols have been depicted with their corresponding characters: We also noticed that there are duplicates of the "Ansem, Seeker of Darkness" pieces - one to represent Ansem, and the other to possibly represent his Guardian. Also, we found two "Vanitas" pieces, possibly signifying Vanitas and the Vanitas Remnant. KH13 user, PrinceNoctis, gives his analysis: Another interesting thing to note is which pieces eliminate each other. It's hard for us to tell, but one move that is certain is the "Sora" piece eliminating one of the "Ansem, Seeker of Darkness"/"Guardian" pieces. If you can make out any other eliminations, let us know! We would just like to clarify that this is based purely on speculation. However, it seems too perfect in our eyes. So, what do you think of all of this? Can you depict any symbols we missed? Sound off in the comments below!
  6. Gameblog, a French website was given the chance to interview Tetsuya Nomura, director of the Kingdom Hearts series. During the interview, Nomura discussed that the development of Kingdom Hearts III is at a relatively advanced level and that the development of Final Fantasy VII Remake will not effect the development of Kingdom Hearts III as they are being developed by two separate teams. 8. Hey there everyone, how's it going!!!??? Good God, if anyone saw what happened yesterday, then I'm sure you're all just as hyped as I am! That Kingdom Hearts III trailer was a pleasant, unexpected surprise! I was hoping Square would show us something, and they frickin delivered, that's for sure! So anyways, I watched Square's conference live yesterday, and just when the KHIII trailer popped up, I quickly whipped up my IPhone to record my reaction! I was originally going to upload this video yesterday, but since it was taking forever to upload, I wasn't able to! But now, you can see my fanboyness in all its glory! Note: Yes, I know that in the beginning, I say Sora's name a bit weirdly, but bear with me, i was frickin hyped! THE HYPE....IS...SOO REAL!!! :D :D :D
  9. Destructoid was able to interview Tetsuya Nomura and ask him if Sora's new attire was able to change forms. He responded, "Yes. Form changes are being considered to bring back. I have enjoyed making different designs for different abilities in the past." This makes me so excited because Drive Forms are my all time favorite feature in any Kingdom Hearts title. If they were to return, which forms can you see being brought back? Which forms would you rather Nomura leave out? Or perhaps maybe new forms? I'd like to hear your ideas on this news.
  10. Destructoid was given the opportunity to interview Tetsuya Nomura and asked him a few questions concerning Kingdom Hearts III. The interview with Nomura revealed that the concept of Drive Forms are being considered to return in Kingdom Hearts III. Along with the concept of Drive Forms, Nomura was also asked about the possibility of certain Disney worlds making an appearance in Kingdom Hearts III. You can view the full interview below, with the questions asked and the response Nomura gave to them. Do you believe Drive Forms should return in Kingdom Hearts III? 11. Engadget‎ has posted their interview with Tetsuya Nomura, as he discusses Disney worlds, gameplay, online multiplayer, and more. Nomura expresses his desire for online multiplayer and reveals that more worlds are prepared to be in Kingdom Hearts III than that of Kingdom Hearts II. Nomura also says core battle controls won't be vastly different than Kingdom Hearts II. You can read the full interview below. Click here to view the article
  12. In an interview between Tetsuya Nomura and Gamesbeat, Gamesbeat was able to have the chance to talk to Nomura at E3 and discuss the possibility of a Star Wars world in Kingdom Hearts III. At first, they were told they were not allowed to talk about the matter, but eventually Nomura did mention some things about the subject. The licensing isn't exactly the easiest, according to Nomura. What he means is that both Disney Interactive and Square Enix both have to contact their mother company Disney and Lucasfilm for permission to use any of the characters and locations. It isn't as simple as just requesting Disney for their first party licenses. It was also said that it could also be more expensive requesting these licenses as well. Even so, Disney Interactive may not even have the rights to use them. Since the big deal between Disney and Lucasfilm back in 2012, many fans of the Kingdom Hearts franchise have been debating about seeing the Star Wars series in Kingdom Hearts III. Do you believe Star Wars would make a great addition to the Kingdom Hearts series? Let us know in the comments below! Click here to view the article

  16. In an interview with Dengeki Online, Tetsuya Nomura, the director of the Kingdom Hearts series, has shared more details about the opening scene of the with Young Xehanort and Young Eraqus. Nomura explained that their conversation helps connect to the story of Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ. He also explained that their conversation is much longer in the full scene, but that this small part was extracted for the trailer. 17. As we are all certainly aware, Square Enix shared new Kingdom Hearts III footage at their E3 2015 press conference yesterday. As the trailer floated around the internet and more fans watched it closely, multiple theories have come about concerning subtle hints that Tetsuya Nomura placed in the trailer. We're going to be exploring a few of these popular theories here. First, one possible hint is the calendar seen near the end of the trailer: The calendar in the background seems to depict a month where the first three days are a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and the month has 31 days total, also ending on a Saturday. After doing some very quick checking, it seems that there are a few months in the coming years with these same criteria: As you can see, the next two months that match with this calendar are October 2015 and December 2016! What do you all think? Could this represent anything, or should we take this with a grain of salt? Let us know in the comments!

  19. I remember Nomura stating that the conversation in the end of the 2.5 E3 2014 trailer is in fact the opening for KH3 and the new KH3 E3 trailer had the conversation. Unless I'm mistaken, we have seen part of the opening for KH3.
  20. After showing the trailer for , Shinji Hasimoto (executive producer of Kingdom Hearts series) says [according to translator] “Ok moving along; I’d like to discuss the title I think we’ve all been waiting for! Kingdom Hearts III!” The KHIII logo, Donald, Goofy and Sora in his new black and red outfit appear on the screen behind him. “But rather than having me talk about it, I thought it’d be much better if we watched actual footage of the game!” Gregg Holman (Vice President of Worldwide Marketing and Franchise Management) and Roy Conli (Disney producer of Treasure Planet, Tangled, Big Hero 6 and more) before Hasimto says [according to translator] “So without any further ado, here’s the world premier of the latest footage from Kingdom Hearts III!” Then the began… HERCULES WORLDCuts to Sora is in his KHII outfit (even after the new outfit was revealed) running and jumping through some sunlit mountain scenery and comes across water themed Heartless (using bubbles and rainclouds for attacks). There are some olympic pillars, trees and statues which have the disney drawing style of the Hercules film, so was fair to assume at this stage that Sora was in the world of Hercules. Later there are Heartless (looking like flying monkeys and bulls) which seem to have ‘clothing’ resembling to the ‘Hercules’ style and then the Rock Titan appears making it more evident that this is the Hercules world. Meanwhile Sora is fighting with Keyblade, using fire spells, and at one point Sora, Donald and Goofy combine to perform a charging attack with Goofy’s shield at the front which turns fiery as they impact the Heartless. In the , the Rock Titan and general mountain surroundings were featured (so we already knew about this film’s incorporation), but now we have more insight as to what the Hercules world would look like (the resemblance to the disney style, the massive scale of the world/enemies and effects of the Unreal Engine 4! When the Rock Titan is attacking, Sora runs up an almost vertical mountain side while dodging rocks being thrown. It cuts to Sora at the Titan’s foot when a luminous blue light surrounds Sora as he jumps up the Rock Titan (almost like Flowmotion in Dream Drop Distance). It cuts to Sora hitting the Titan’s foot with the Keyblade making the foot ‘crack’ to show lava. Sora then lifts his Keyblade up to summon a luminous steam-train; the same one we again, but this time with more detail/colour on the train and more realistic gameplay (targeting and hitting through the Titan’s hand). TANGLED WORLD We then see Sora walk from a cave with Donald and Goofy in his new outfit which is mainly black and red (if it’s like a drive form or his permanent outfit we are not sure as the KHII outfit appeared as well). It then cuts to show Sora looking at Rapunzel’s tower confirming the fact that a world based on “Tangled” will be in KHIII! This is the first time a world based on a 3D animated film, has been incorporated in the Kingdom Hearts franchise and looks almost identical to film. Flower-like Heartless then start to appear, one of which acts like a dandelion to create more small heartless. Sora uses a wind like spell and jumps into the air splitting his Keyblade in two and transforming it into guns (seen in the and HD 2.5 ReMIX launch event trailers) firing blue beams at the Heartless. It then transforms into a massive gun, shooting multiple shots in the one go and finishing with a large shot. Sora then raises his Keyblade to perform the same movement like the steam-train summon; this looks like how Sora will usually do these special moves. This time he jumps in the air, falls through the ground like water and then a pirate ship (like in ) splashes out of the ground spinning to destroy the Heartless. It is also looks more vibrant and colourful, but only last a few seconds and disappears into shimmers of light. TWILIGHT TOWN We then cut to Sora, Donald and Goofy running through Twilight Town where the hole which leads to the Mansion is (like in the and ). Sora performs a Blizzard spell at Shadows, Soldiers and Large Body Heartless (from the first Kingdom Hearts game) then jumps in the air and spirals down (with blue light twirling around) onto the Heartless. Sora bounces off the wall and twirls round Heartless (like Flowmotion in Dream Drop Distance). Sora once again raises his Keyblade and summons three luminous tee-cups for him, Donald and Goofy to spin in while hitting the Heartless. The three then combine and twirl around together to perform a final attack. Sora transforms his Keyblade into an orange and yellow weapon with lightning coming from it. It then twirls about and transforms into a white pegasus and chariot throwing out lightning bolts at the Heartless as it rides about in mid-air. Perhaps this is a summon acquired from Hercules’ world (like Genie from Agrabah) CABLE TOWN LIBRARY/STUDY We then cut back to Xehanort and Eraqus continuing their game of chess and their conversation. Meanwhile we see a fireplace with the Keyblade mounted on the wall above it when young Xehanort looks at it; this Keyblade is used by Master Xehanort in Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance, and in the young Xehanort says to Braig, “But of all the Keyblades in existence, Master Xehanort's is the most ancient.” We then see Xehanort and Eraqus’ faces as they talk and it ends by showing a white and black chess piece next to each other signifying the two sides; light and dark. The final dialogue is below: The Kingdom Hearts III logo appears, followed by “Now in Development” to conclude the trailer! Hasimoto said afterwards, “So what do you think?”What do you think of the Unreal Engine 4 graphics? Now that Hercules, Twilight Town and Tangled are confirmed, what other worlds do you think will be in KHIII? What do you think of young Xehanort and young Eraqus? What did you like the best: flowmotion, enhanced magic, new outfit, disney attraction summons/other summons, or Keybalde transformations? What are your analysis’s of the trailer? 22. Look at both of these pictures. Both are from the New trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3. What do you guys think of this? Maybe we will be able to switch between the two within the game?
