  1. The official Kingdom Hearts Twitter announced today that a brand new physical Kingdom Hearts collection will become available in North America on March 17th of this year! 2. Here's part 1 of the longest video I'll probably ever make. The reason this is part 1 and not the whole thing is because ShareFactory won't render anything past 60 minutes, and the ReMind content puts it over 80 so far. Don't worry, nothing from ReMind is in this video, it's just the base game.
  3. Kingdom Hearts III has been nominated in 4 categories for the 19th National Academy of Video Game Trade Reviewers (NAVGTR) awards. The categories include Best Game (Franchise Family), Original Dramatic Score (Franchise), Song Collection, and Song (Original or Adapted) for "Don't Think Twice". Kingdom Hearts hasn't been a stranger to the NAVGTR. The original Kingdom Hearts had 10 nominations in 2002 and won 4 awards. Kingdom Hearts II had 4 nominations in 2006. Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days won its sole nomination in 2009 for Best Game (Franchise Role Playing) and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance was nominated for the same category in 2012. The 19th Annual NAVGTR Awards will take place on February 24th.

  13. Hi everyone! I'm a lifelong Kingdom Hearts fan, and regular lurker on KH13 (especially at times like this when we're all waiting for the update and ReMind to drop XD). I don't tend to post anywhere nowadays (sometimes on reddit), but I think I was pretty active on forums back in the pre-KH2 days haha. Over the past nine months I've been writing an essay - called Kingdom Hearts III: A Conclusion without a Story - which analyses Kingdom Hearts III’s approach to storytelling; viewed both from the perspective of a player, and the perspective of a writer/game designer (hence being released on Gamasutra). My intention was to examine the game’s structure, ideas, and mistakes, and draw out numerous lessons that could be applicable to the reader’s own game – all centred around a main hypothesis. The hope is that anyone can read and enjoy it, but that developers will gain a lot more from the topics explored. As I mention in the article, while I adore the series, this critique is largely written from a game developer’s perspective, albeit with the insights (and frustrations) of a lifelong fan. Anyway, we start off slow, but I think I managed to extract a lot of interesting points and insights overall (especially in the later topics) - things that I'd definitely never thought about before in relation to the series. So whether you agree or disagree with my points, I hope anyone that takes the time enjoys reading it! Thank you very much for your time! And if nothing else, it's something else to read while waiting for ReMind =P I apologise if I've posted this in the wrong forum. I was considering posting it in Creative Media, but an essay didn't seem to quite fit the descriptions and other content I found there. 18. The Kingdom Hearts Youtube Channel have posted 2 preview videos for the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World of Tres- Concert video for the Re Mind DLC bundle. You can watch the videos on our Youtube channel or watch below. Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind DLC Concert Video Preview 1 Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind DLC Concert Video Preview 2 Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind is set to release on January 23rd for PS4 and Xbox One on February 25th on Xbox One. The concert video will include 19 tracks from the -World of Tres- concert. [UPDATE]: It has recently been observed by some eagle eyes in the community that the ESRB rating in these two concert videos is different than what was seen in previous trailers. This updated ESRB rating has added "Mild Blood" and "Mild Language". Additionally, it has changed "Alcohol Reference" to "Use of Alcohol". While we are uncertain on whether or not this rating applies to Re Mind as a whole or just the concert video, it is seeming likely that the ESRB rating just had to get updated for Re Mind's upcoming release. UPDATE [Jan 17th] The concert videos have been reuploaded on Kingdom Hearts Youtube channel with the ESRB rating updated to E10+ for Fantasy Violence and Alcohol References. What are your thoughts on this development? Let us know in the comments below!
