  1. A sort of DmC: Devil May Cry inspired rework of our Dearly Beloved Kingdom Hearts franchise, The Kingdom of Hearts or TKoH for short is the story about all brand new main, primary protagonists of this new version of Kingdom Hearts trying to protect the aforementioned mythical, ancient, omnipotent and omniscient Heart of all Worlds from the clutches of both Darkness and all other sorts of evil forces...the premise behind The Kingdom of Hearts is that it not only explores both the Light and the Dark within everyone's Hearts but rather also both the Good and the Bad, the White and the Black, the Yang and the Yin, so on, so forth, all the kinds of things that represent balance itself, the theme of TKoH is balance and the story focuses on parallel versions of Sora, Riku and Kairi, as they soon get dragged into a fight for their very lives and must now at the very same time, master the arts of the Keyblade granted upon them...in this Role-play, Sora, Riku and Kairi are named "Sky", "Land" and "Sea" respectively and they are currently being taught under their mentors and foster figures of each one of them respectively named "Wind", "Earth" and "Water", the parallel versions of Ventus, Terra and Aqua...in the story of TKoH, long, long ago...in what was once called the Age of Fairy Tales, now called the "Age of Modern Man", there was a demon, a demon so powerful that it could feed off of the life force of other peoples' Hearts until eventually, nothing at all had remained of them, this demon was referred to by all, as the "Heartless Xehanort", basically Kingdom Hearts' version of Calamity Ganon from The Legend of Zelda's latest recent release Breath of the Wild...the Heartless Xehanort was once said according to legend to have been thirteen individuals each, however, upon completely surrendering their Hearts to the Darkness for whatever reason, power, fame, fortune, you name it...these 13 individuals' Hearts had been completely swallowed by the Dark and had then merged into one, which had become the evil monster, the Heartless Xehanort...in order to stop the Heartless Xehanort before it could wreak havoc upon the "World of Light", seven princesses from seven different kingdoms were chosen due to their royal bloodlines and the magical powers bestowed upon their Hearts due to those bloodlines and by combining all of their powers into one, they crafted a door leading to eternal Darkness, there, they had banished the Heartless Xehanort, hoping that the seal would forever remain intact and the evil beast kept locked away under lock and key forever...however, there are now those in the current present times who seek to revive the Heartless Xehanort, they call themselves a "Cult of Nobodies" and now this aforementioned cult are seeking new ways to revive the beast for whatever diabolical schemes they are hatching and are plotting, they have even gone, as far, as to conduct experiments, trying to mimic the original Heartless Xehanort itself in the forms of miniature beasts, more or less taking on the gargantuan monster's form, now, in order to save the World of Light and all of the smaller Worlds within its larger sphere of Worlds, Sky, the apprentice of Wind, Land, the apprentice of Earth and Sea, the apprentice of Water must now unite, as one and band together to face off against the Dark forces and machinations of the Cult of Nobodies before they even have the chance to revive the Heartless Xehanort, however...they must also learn the bonds of teamwork and friendship in the process if they are ever to have a standing fighting chance, for the three apprentices do not exactly get along so well with one another and now this is where balance fits into the story, they must learn to put aside their differences, work with each other, as well, as other people dedicated to the cause of stopping the Cult of Nobodies and the monstrous Heartless Xehanort and both use and unlock the true powers of their weapons, the "Keyswords" and thus with Keyswords in hand, the three set out from their home-worlds, as ordered by their masters and begin journeying to the smaller Worlds within the World of Light, hoping to learn new things and experiences in these Worlds before joining together, as one by meeting at the fated place and once there, the chosen three will prove themselves not only to all the people of the Realm of Light and their masters but also to themselves especially for a strong lesson in life is self reflection...another form of balance but now, enough talk, let the journey commence and the story begin, for this is TKoH, The Kingdom of Hearts. Rules: No Godmoding. No Romance above age 12. No Swearing above age 12. Please use proper grammar. This is a parallel universe setting of the Kingdom Hearts games so although it shares certain and similar themes and aspects with the games, the Role-play itself is meant to be an entirely original story more or less with borrowed ideas from both DmC: Devil May Cry and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, in the senses that it shows new versions of our favourite Characters and that they must combat a deadly nemesis that was once Human now more monster then the former respectively. Hints can be made to the original Kingdom Hearts games but not outright connections to the actual games, this is a different setting and universe that can be considered on the other side of the mirror of the Kingdom Hearts universe where the games take place, know what i mean? You cannot create Characters based on Sora, Riku, Kairi, Ventus, Terra and Aqua but other versions of Characters such, as Axel/Lea for example are available and just to put any person's mind at ease about the Cult of Nobodies being this universe's Organization XIII, they are not, they are merely a group of worshipers and followers that are trying to resurrect the ancient evil being, the Heartless Xehanort, anyone can create their own groups based on the Organization if they so wish to, however, monsters such, as the Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed and Dream Eaters will not appear in the story, instead, new monsters will appear that will be introduced when the story first kicks off hopefully. Keyswords are what the Keyblades are called in this universe and, as for X-Blades and Ultima Weapon Keyblades that appear in the Role-play, they are combined, as one in this universe and are called "Ultima Xs", Ultima Xs are what is referred to, as the final transformation and form of a Keysword once it has reached full maturity alongside its chosen wielder, they basically function like the Starlight Keyblade from Kingdom Hearts Chi does in terms of they can change shape upon a Character leveling up, each time a Character levels up upon reaching the numbers 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and so on, a person can change the shape of their Keyblade if they so desire or just stay with its regular appearance, whichever suits the Role-players' preferences. Characters from other franchises, Final Fantasy can appear in the Role-play but they are parallel versions of their normal Kingdom Hearts selves which who of are parallels to begin with but the unique thing upon their inclusion is that they can be portrayed however they like, for examples, Sephiroth isn't a villain and is instead a hero and Cloud is not a brooder but rather a more sociable person, that's the fun in how these Characters can be portrayed within the Role-play, Final Fantasy, Disney and Kingdom Hearts Characters all alike, we can see new sides of them that we have never seen before. Please put down "One Destiny, Different Sky" to show that you have read the Rules at the end of your Character Sheets. You can have up to, as many Characters, as you can portray. Have fun! :]. P.S: The starting point for all Characters to meet up is the World known, as "Lux Town", it is the central hub World for the Role-play and where the Tutorial will take place, revealing how travelling to other Worlds is possible and is performed, how people fight with their weapons, especially Keyswords and where the heroes will learn of what the villains, the Cult of Nobodies are currently plotting, other Characters that are villainous may choose to align with the cult or not and work towards their own agendas, like Maleficent and Pete do in the games. Character Sheets: Normal: Name: Age: History: Personality: Appearance: Weapon: Sub Weapon: Home-world: Species: Alignment: Japanese Voice Actor/Actress: English Voice Actor/Actress: Theme Song: (The last three don't need to be filled in necessarily.). Kingdom Hearts/Final Fantasy/Disney: Name: Parallel Version of which Character from the games: Age: History: Personality: Appearance: Weapon: Sub Weapon: Home-world: Alignment: Here is the Character Sheet for the demonic being: Character Sheets: Normal: Name: The Heartless Xehanort. Age: Over 10,000 years. History: 13 individuals filled with both complete and utter Darkness within their Hearts combined, as one to form this abomination of creation...during the very early years it was rampaging across the World of Light, it was initially known, as the being with "No Name", however, over the course of the history of time, its violence and terrorism have earned it the nickname "Heartless" and the name "Xehanort" was also bestowed upon it, as it was apparently the name of a both fallen and corrupt angel of legend, thus came to be, the Heartless Xehanort, a giant behemoth of a monster that has been mentioned in storytelling nightmares to children living in the current present era, as a means of getting them to behave, the Heartless Xehanort was ultimately defeated by the combined unification of seven pure Hearted princesses of seven kingdoms each and was sealed away supposedly forever behind a giant sealed door that led to a bottomless pit of eternal Darkness, there it sleeps, waiting, to be one day be awakened and the seal broken, to destroy the World of Light and this time succeed, so that nothing is left and only Nothingness remains behind... Personality: Cruel, Sadistic, Monstrous, has no Conscience and a mind to think on its own with, its only purpose in life is the instinct to kill everyone and everything baring a Heart until Hearts no longer exist at all... Appearance: Resembles Calamity Ganon from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild but with Master Xehanort's signature traits, his gold eyes, pointy ears and silver hair, has X shaped claw feet. Weapon: A Keysword shaped Scorpion like tail. Sub Weapon: A Crab like right handed giant claw. Home-world: Unknown. Species: Unknown. Alignment: Pure Evil. Japanese Voice Actor/Actress: Has none, communicates through beast sound effects. English Voice Actor/Actress: Same, as above. Theme Song: https://youtu.be/gKVtc3ePX6g. "One Destiny, Different Sky.".
  2. Tagline: "...Our battle is over...but the war...has only just begun." Synopsis: Three and a half years have passed since the events of KINGDOM HEARTS III, in which Sora, aided by his fellow Guardians of Light had defeated both Master Xehanort and his Organization XIII comprised of various incarnations of himself and now, the Worlds are at peace, however...that does not mean that peace lasts forever, for now a both strange and mysterious new threat is attacking the universe and it is up to both Sora and friends to stop it, along the way they meet both old and new friends alike, exploring various and vast new Worlds unlike which they have ever seen beforehand, mastering new spells and abilities and also for Sora, gaining new Keyblades to fight with, as Sora begins this new adventure of his, he soon discovers that this new threat that is trying to destroy the galaxy is related in more ways then one to the legendary Keyblade War, of which Xehanort was trying to restart and had ultimately failed to do so, thanks to Sora and the others' efforts, at any rate, this new threat may very well be trying to get its hands on the one true χ-Blade, in order to unlock the mysteries of its counterpart, the one true Kingdom Hearts, to in turn become a god above both everything and everyone...in an attempt to stop this evil menace, Sora travels with both Donald Duck and Goofy once more to find out more about the enemy that they are currently facing whilst both Riku and King Mickey Mouse don the Black Coats of Organization XIII once more and travel across the Worlds through the Corridors of Darkness, attempting their own investigation into matters from their side, meanwhile, Master Yen Sid has both Kairi and Lea undertake the Mark of Mastery Exam, in the hopes that just like Sora and Riku beforehand will the two master new powers to combat this new threat, aiding in the training of the two are Merlin and the three good fairies, as requested their help by Yen Sid, in the meantime, Maleficent and Pete are up to their no good tricks again and are attempting to reassemble the council of Disney villains from the original KINGDOM Hearts to further their own goals of universal domination, Ventus, Terra and Aqua are on standby at the newly restored Land of Departure until given further orders by the revived Master Eraqus, Roxas, Axel, Xion and Namine are also on standby with Pence, Hayner and Olette in Twilight Town at the old mansion, finally, the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee, along with the somebodies of Dilan, Even, Aeleus, Ienzo and the redeemed Isa, as well, as Ansem the Wise, having been restored to the wise sage and ruler of Radiant Garden are currently looking into matters regarding research on this new foe that everyone is now faced with... This new foe is said to be just about, as dangerous, as Xehanort was...maybe, even more so...aided by four henchmen, this new enemy and his servants don white versions of Organization XIII's Black Coats and all together call themselves the "Illuminati", the Illuminati lead creatures that feed off positive energy and vibes that they refer to, as the "Versed", said to be the exact opposites of the Unversed themselves, the Versed are easily identified by having the very same symbol, as the Unversed do upon their bodies, the only difference being that the colour for the Versed is white instead of the Unversed's black, a possible hint into the identity of who these new enemies are, namely their leader, as he bares a Unversed symbol zipper on his white coat, he calls himself "χ-Super" and under his white coat's hood, he is shown to wear a variation of Vanitas' helmet but with a large X across the helmet's face, whatever his intentions are currently unknown but he states that he will bring about what he calls the "Versus XIII" and whatever this means, most people tend to take it, as to him meaning that he is going to form another Organization XIII like Xehanort previously did in the past twice and is attempting to recreate the Keyblade War, now, on a mission to stop this possible raving lunatic, Sora and friends, old and new battle Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed, Dream Eaters and these new Versed monsters across all of the realms a person can think of and finally, the story that began with Xehanort's ambition will end once and for all here, at least that is what is going through Sora's mind at the moment but still he ponders, is there more to this Versus XIII? what exactly does it mean? all will be explained... This is KINGDOM HEARTS IV-The free Role-Play for everyone where they can experiment on what life would be like after the events of the Xehanort/Dark Seeker Saga have ended, please share with me your opinions on the story before i continue making the Character Sheets and Rules.
  3. Hey guys, I made a detailed guide for fighting the Mysterious Figure in BBS. He was a tough sunnovabishh, especially with Terra, and in this guide I tried to make him a little more manageable. It isn't super technical but I think it very effectively explains his attacks and a good strategy to beat him. Let me know if this helps anyone looking to platinum this game on PS4.
  4. I couldn't find another post about this so I hope I'm not repeating a topic already discussed. And I hope I'm not stating something that was really obvious to everyone else. Also if you are not up to date on the Union Cross NA storyline then look away now to avoid spoilers. I was going through a list of all currently known Keyblade Masters in my head the other day (as you do) when I suddenly realised something that I'd never thought about before. Ventus is a Keyblade Master! Probably, anyway. How is he a Keyblade Master, do you ask? Because in Union Cross he appears as one of the new Union Leaders chosen by the Master of Masters to replace the Foretellers (who are also Keyblade Masters) after they meet their end in the Keyblade War. And when Master Ava first tells Ephemer that he has been chosen to replace her as another one of the new Union Leaders he indicates that this also means he has been made a Master. Therefore if Ephemer has become a Master then we can assume that the other new Union Leaders are also Masters, including Ven. So if Ven is a Keyblade Master then that means - assuming he is one and the same as Ven in Birth By Sleep where he appears slightly older - that the whole time he was training with Aqua and Terra and sharing their dream of becoming Keyblade Masters, he was already a Keyblade Master but just didn't know it. I think this is a pretty interesting realisation when you consider that he is not only younger than Terra and Aqua by a few years (in appearance anyway as we don't actually know how old he is) but he is also weaker than them. It also means that Terra is the only one of the three to have not yet obtained the title of Master despite appearing to be the oldest. That would make him really depressed if he found out! On a slightly different note, why do you think Ven was chosen by the Master of Masters for this role? He says so himself that he's not particularly good at anything and never in the top ranks. He doesn't really seem to be a natural leader either. My guess is that he was chosen for his strong resistance to darkness. Though I also wonder if it's because the Master of Masters knew what lay in his future? Please share your thoughts!
  5. An all brand new KINGDOM HEARTS Role-Play, this is KINGDOM HEARTS III: The Untold Story...the story that is told that leads up to the events of KINGDOM HEARTS III, separate to the story of both Sora and friends...in an unknown Realm, on an unknown World...there lives a boy, same age and similar to, though not quite, as Sora...his name is "Zola" and he lives in the universe known, as the "Parallel Realm", here, everything is reverse to the natural order that is Sora's universe, the Realm of Light...here, people and things take on different forms compared to their both Light and Dark counterparts and here...the Parallel Realm is under siege...from the threat of an invisible enemy...who lurks behind the shadows of creatures native to the Parallel Realm, known, as the "Faceless", beings that have no identities whatsoever, going, as far, as to wear masks that conceal what may very well be misshapen faces and figures, instead, the Faceless seek out those who have identities, namely, those with Hearts, they believe that if they can obtain the Hearts of others...will they obtain their very own identities for themselves and in the process, learn what it means to feel the emotions of a Heart and what exactly is a Heart, Zola...chosen wielder of the Keyblade of the Parallel Realm must now battle the Faceless alongside others, against both the Faceless and the invisible enemy that leads them, just, as Sora and his allies in the Realm of Light battle both Master Xehanort and his forces of evil...behold, this, is the untold story...of the Parallel Realm, the mirror Realm that coexists alongside the Realm of Light yet neither are aware of each other's existence...this is the story, of Zola...Sora's Parallel Realm counterpart. Theme Song: https://youtu.be/TKlVeBrZyDE. Rules: No Godmodding. No Romance above Age 12. No Swearing above Age 15. Please stay true to the Kingdom Hearts Timeline Events and Mythology, as this takes place alongside the Xehanort Saga but is parallel to it, meaning that no one in the Realm of Light is aware of the events here in the Parallel Realm and vice versa, this basically a Reboot of the original Kingdom Hearts video game more or less but still takes place alongside the original Kingdom Hearts games' story-lines, this is hopefully the 1st Kingdom Hearts Role-Play in what i like to call the "Blank Saga", in which we start everything afresh but still in keeping with the traditional main story-line of the Dark Seeker Saga. You can have up to 3 Characters per person each, you cannot request to portray, as Sora and the others for they will not appear in this Role-Play although subtle hints will be made, this is entirely a parallel universe setting where things are completely different, especially the Worlds, for example, the World of Beauty and the Beast set in the Parallel Realm is based on the 2017 live action film version, same goes for the Jungle Book which has yet to star in the actual games, all events relating to Disney based films and properties are based on their live action film counterparts so we will be seeing a unique story in where Maleficent is on the side of good, still searching for Kingdom Hearts but good nevertheless for example. Have fun! :]. Please put at the end of your Character Sheets "Different Story, Same World." to show that you read the Rules. 6. We all know that Ventus is currently sleeping in the Castle Oblivion right? which is really The Land of Departure, Traverse Town, Daybreak Town, and Twilight Town in reality, or even possibly, a shared area of the overlapping parts of the aforementioned worlds (those worlds being in-between worlds). I mean his body is there, but his heart is still residing inside Sora’s heart. Someday, I know that, he will wake… but maybe, just maybe, it is not his first time sleeping there… It may even be his third time. And that is the main subject of this article. Reincarnation Theory We all know how Ventus closely resemble Gula–how he is rumored to be the reincarnation of Gula. But we also know how Ventus, as a Dandelion, appeared also in the age of the Master of Masters and Foretellers. Now how can this be? The clue may have been already present all along. The Old Mansion and Castle Oblivion In KHII, we have seen how the Old Mansion in Twilight Town is really connected to the Castle Oblivion. And here are the curious parts: there are symbols of unicorns/pegasus in that place, a very big fight seemed to have happened there a long time ago, and there is a sleeping pod in that place that shows a sign that it was used before by/for a person other than Sora, Donald, and Goofy. Gula & Ventus (Dandelion) In the KChi Back Cover, we are informed that when Ira, the unicorn Foreteller, discovered that Gula is the holder of the lost page, he searched for him. (Keep in mind that there is also this theory that the holder of the lost page is the traitor.) Now Gula might be the traitor or not, but if he really is Ventus, then maybe, Ira or some other character(s) got a hold of him, and, by some mysterious reason, erased his memories and turn him into Ventus (Dandelion). Speculation(s) We all know that Dandelions are the only ones chosen to survive. Maybe, by some mysterious reason/importance of Gula/Ventus’ survival, that/those person(s) did such thing. Maybe it is really about the X-blade. In any case, Gula might really be Ventus (Dandelion) who slept in C.O. for a while; he slept and lost his memories and woke up to be a new boy as a Dandelion. Ventus (Aqua and Terra’s Friend) Now, we also know that the Dandelions must have their memories erased. Maybe for X-blade again. Again the C.O. entered into action (probably). And thus we have Ventus as a boy, who again, lost his memories to be Aqua and Terra’s friend. The Fight Now there’s clearly a very destructive fight that transpired in the Old Mansion/C.O./Land of Departure. What happened or for what reason? A fight for Gula/Ventus? Who are the participants of such fight? These questions are pivotal yet still a mystery to us. Maybe my prior article is the answer or maybe not. Birth by Sleep: Nomura as a Reader of George MacDonald Like my first article, I will warn the reader that if he or she does not like things concerning religion especially Christianity, he or she is free to refrain at this point to read further. Now, Nomura might be a reader of George MacDonald. Here’s a thing: MacDonald is a master story/fairytale/Christian allegory writer who inspired other legendary writers (e.g. C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, G.K. Chesterton etc.). He is famous for his emphasis on waking by sleep.1 It is his way to emphasize Christ’s words about living by dying.2 Aside from this, MacDonald also emphasized the existence of other worlds and doors that lead to them. (See how MacDonald really influenced Lewis’ Narnia by his Faeryland.) Now, I believe that if Ventus did not fallen into sleep and resided in Sora’s heart, the world of KH might be in worse state now–the birth of a new keyblade wielder by his sleep crushed the prior attempts of Xehanort. Come to think of it, Ventus’ sleep and Sora’s awakening as a keyblade wielder is kind of similar to Sora’s death (being a heartless) that gave a new life to a Nobody (Roxas). Without Roxas, the world might be in a worse state during the time Sora was still asleep. Now, think about this: why does the room where Ventus is currently sleeping called as the “Chamber of Waking”? Because sleep will later on give way to waking. The hurting will be healed. As true as the evening will give way to a new dawn. Disclaimer: Again I apologize for spelling mistake(s) or grammatical error(s) if there is/are. 1. Lilith 2. Philippians 1:21; John 12:24
  7. Hello I am new here. Just recently got psvr and daydream phone. Watch with PSVR or DayDream VR on android! Retro game Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep in stunning VR! I captured using an android phone. Note: Retro games have a 2d screen and no left or right. I made it curve enough to view straight, turning head left, right, top, and bottom. Back view is the screen repeat, so no official back view. Thoughts good, bad, constructive criticism, comments. All are welcome. Edit December 7 2017: My first virtual reality game project is Kingdom Hearts BBS. The plan is to show the cut-scenes, boss fights, mirage arena, mini games, and a showing of the level scenery. Note: part 2 of the movie is better quality. The Movie Playlist VR Sample playlist - includes FF7, Spyro 2, and KH BBS Opening and Game-play
  8. If you've not played Birth By Sleep don't read this as it'll spoil the ending. So, I was doing some thinking and came up with a what if of sorts and was wondering what everyone else thinks on the matter. What if Aqua didn't send Terranort back into the realm of light and instead they both fell into the realm of darkness? What do you guys think would have happened? Ansem the wise wouldn't have been sent there, the organisation wouldn't have been started, lots of things would have worked out completely differently. So what do you all think would have happened? This is just curiousity and speculation Let me know what you all think.
  9. Hey, I wanna know your theories about what happened to Zack after BBS. Mine is that, Cloud it may be from Zack what Vanitas is from Ven, some sort os vessel of darkness or maybe, Cloud is Zack's Nobody O.O That's mine, what is yours?

  11. Hello just need a bit of help. I already beat terra in critical mode. I'm playing as ventus, and will need help facing X-Blade vanitas on 1 life left(when vanitas becomes a d-link). But I really need help on is aqua. She has terranort, and pureblood heartless. In fact, I made need help in general because I died a lot with aqua in proud mode. So any advice for critical mode aqua and ventus would be nice.
  12. Mine was in deep space. I was doing very poorly at first with stitch and gantu with hug high ranking commands. But then I got captain justice. My munny was flowing in because Pete actually bought spaces(ironically the type of command as the one I bought). And it doesn't stop there. I did bought command did gantu and stitch, but with Pete paying me I was already good. But here's the really best part. As it's known, it's rare to get all random jokers. And that's what I got. I did golden capture, timed it right, and got zone capture. I had level them all up so much that both gantu and stitch was in the negative 2000's. At that point, I had to more random jokers and when I touched the green panel, I got another one. I did golden fortune, and timed it to get zone capture. I was doing so well I went in circles in the middle of the deep space command board, and watch as they get to negatives. At that point, I went to the starting point and won. Yeah, so tell me your best moments. I know it's hard to believe, but it did happen. So share me your best command board moments. Thanks.
  13. Hello guys! So im playing kh 1.5 plus 2.5. Ive beat kh1 and 2 without problems. Now i want to finish bbs, but onfortunately, i can't. I get the'savecrash' bug menu when the scenes are over, after i saved. I tried a new save file, but it eon't work. Guess its waiting for square to move... ?
  14. Over the years, I've seen many people be confused as to why Sora and Riku had to do so much more for their Mark of Mastery than Aqua and Terra. Aqua and Terra trained their whole life for their Mark of Mastery. Sora and Riku didn't. Sora and Riku's Mark of Mastery was also their training. Their Mark of Mastery was so much more difficult than Aqua and Terra's because they had to make up for the years of training they missed. The Mark of Mastery and becoming a Keyblade Master isn't about whether you can save the world or not. It's about being traditionally trained. For example, becoming a black belt in Karate has nothing to do with whether you can save the world or win a fight or not. It has to do with if you have mastered the traditional skills you have been taught. The title of "Keyblade Master" is nothing more than a formality.

  16. Third installment of wonderfully thrilling review by this guy! If you're curious, here's my first two: http://kh13.com/forum/topic/103316-kh15-review-from-a-first-time-player/ http://kh13.com/forum/topic/103580-kh2fm-hd-review-from-a-first-time-player/ So BBS took me awhile to make and playthrough because I actually played the game twice; I just felt my thoughts on it weren't very finalized when I first finished, so I figured a 2nd playthrough would help. And it did, so here we go: I'm gonna talk about the story first. We're immediately introduced to three completely new characters: Terra, Aqua, and Ven. You can clearly see what Square was going for here: Ven = Sora, Terra = Riku, Aqua = Kairi. Their personalities kind of reflect the original trio too; Terra's the angsty teenager who has darkness in his heart, Ven is almost a less enthusiastic replica of Sora, and Aqua is the motherly figure (which is sorta like Kairi? I dunno, Kairi really wasn't fleshed out too well in the first few games). The story of BBS (which, I assume if you're reading this, you'll know it so I won't explain it thoroughly) expands upon the past of KH1 and how Keyblade Wielders came to be. While I do appreciate the expansion of lore to a degree, there's somethings that sort of bothered me. Firstly, the retcon of the idea of the Keyblade "choosing" its owner as a sentient sort of being: instead, they made it some sort of inheritance ceremony in conjunction to choosing an appropriate wielder. The whole thing is super unclear; Terra underwent the inheritance ceremony with Riku, which is how I understand Riku being the original "chosen wielder" prior to succumbing to darkness. On the other hand, Kairi's Keyblade in KH2 is also explained, but literally all she did was touch Aqua's Keyblade and that was enough? The game didn't do too well explaining the whole thing, and that sort of bothered me. So from what I can understand at this point, Xehanort's sort of the "main villain" that we're targeting. And yeah, all things considered, he's got a pretty cool design. Maybe somewhat cliche to some, but the idea of an "all powerful Keyblade Master" is pretty neat to me. This does bring up the question though; why couldn't Xemnas/Ansem (seeker of darkness one) wield a Keyblade? This is especially confusing since Xemnas' GOAL was to create an artificial Kingdom Hearts by collecting hearts that can only be done with a Keyblade...so why did he stop? To me, this seems like a plothole for now, but if they do decide to answer it in future games, it'll be pretty obvious it's retconned. My ideal plot in terms of lore expansion is that you can expand lore to a degree where you don't have several plotholes; anymore than that, and you've explained too much. Unfortunately, the story of BBS seems to do that somewhat, and even if several of my questions are answered in future games, it's very likely that its merely a retcon that Square realized after releasing the game. Don't get me wrong; I have nothing against expanding lore, but if the original story was perfectly fine (I mean, I completely accepted the whole "keyblade = legendary myth in KH1), and expanding the lore further will cause a lot of confusion and plotholes, that's where it gets sort of overwhelming. Character motivations in here were also somewhat confusing. I personally felt the fight between Eraqus and Terra could've been completely avoided, had Eraqus told Terra about Ven sooner instead of being the typical "vague and mysterious" master he was. I mean seriously; Terra comes in, sees his master about to kill his best friend, so he'll naturally get angry. What does Eraqus do? No, he doesn't quell his anger and explain; he says sorry and raises his Keyblade to KILL TERRA. What??? The same can be said about the whole Terra and Ven taking off, forcing Aqua to go after them. Terra takes off instead of consulting his master, Ven follows Terra instead of consulting HIS master, and Aqua is forced to do the dirty work and follow them to make sure they're safe. The whole thing feels sort of contrived, and that was the big thing that sort of bothered me. I love the idea of Xehanort, but his motivation, at least to me, seems a little bit weak. From what I understand, he wishes to recreate the X-Blade out of sheer curiosity, and is literally willing to bring the world to an apocalypse to do that. It seems very far-fetched, but that may be because I can't relate to it. This kind of applies to other characters too; for some reason, I just can't relate to them very well, which goes back to my slight annoyance at the motivations behind certain character's actions. It just doesn't make sense to me. The idea behind Vanitas is pretty cool, but I felt his character was a bit too generic and we really didn't get to explore a lot of it. I think this applies to a lot of other characters too. And yeah, I understand they introduced a TON of new characters in the game, but if that means lessening character development and giving them less of a personal identity, I'd rather them only introduce a few characters but give them all unique identities. That being said, that doesn't mean the other KH games are exempt from this (cough cough Kairi), but it just seems so much more noticeable in this game since the three main characters just seem like...more boring copies of the original trio (excluding Aqua; she was a nice breath of fresh air). Something I did personally enjoy; the way the story was told was pretty interesting, and by the end of the three character arcs, I can piece together everything that happened and then make sense of it. The story was also similar to KH2/ReCoM's story where Disney Worlds just sort of stopped having meaning in the overall plot. I really LOVED how KH1 integrated the two together so well, but now it just seems like Disney worlds are mere filler until we get to the worlds where plot is revealed (Badlands/Keyblade Graveyard, Hollow Bastion, Land of Departure). The entire game is sort of a wild goose chase, until they finally end up in one area at the end and prepare for the final battle. Also, I love the design and decision of using a Keyblade Graveyard as a final battleground; seems very fitting. On the otherhand, the literal THOUSANDS of Keyblades make me wonder if they'll expand the plot even MORE in future games (go even further past and talk about the Keyblade War/X-Blade and what happened and stuff), and that worries me because explaining EVERYTHING will almost guarantee plotholes of some degree, and I really don't want to see this series go in that direction. Of course, I full understand those who enjoy more lore, but this is once again, just my personal view. ALRIGHT, that was long; moving on to gameplay and I'll try to make this a little shorter (although it probably won't be). Holy CRAP this game was different from the other KH games. My immediate impression was that it was a dumbed down version of the cards I loved in ReCoM, and...I was right. I really love how each KH game changes up the formula so much. The various commands we're allowed to choose demonstrates a HUGE variety of attacks, and I honestly loved it in the beginning. I think it's really my 2nd playthrough where I began to realize a couple of fundamental issues with the combat system: -Command Styles are annoying. Yeah, they boost your attacks and make them all fancy, but changing in the middle of a fight can actually get you hit because you dont have any i-frames afterwards. I actually died twice on Critical Mode (2nd playthrough) because I changed into a Command Style at a wrong time and an enemy hit me the moment the animation was done. Obviously it's not noticeable on lower difficulties, but still; it was kind of annoying. -I personally rarely found an incentive to use D-Links. I think this is sort of the whole KH2 syndrome, where the game gives you a bunch of stuff but doesn't explain how to use them so you never really will use them to their fullest until you choose to explore, which, from my understanding, a lot of people don't. However, I just never saw a D-Link better than my own Command Deck. Sure, you get special abilities and stuff, but they just weren't...good enough to use over my own commands. It's not a big deal; it's just immediately after playing KH2 on Critical Mode where I was forced to use my resources to the fullest, it was kind of a let down to see that most enemies can be beaten with mere commands. Speaking of which... -My experience, and this is from my experience only. Magnega, Thunder Surge, Fire Surge, Thundaga (maybe Mine Square sometimes). As far as I can tell, that's more or less all you need to beat the game, even on Critical Mode. This was super apparent by the end of my 1st playthrough. Thunder/Fire Surge did such an ABSURD amount of damage, even in comparison to the other powerful commands (Ars Solum, Timer Splicer, etc.) and they only took up 1 command slot. Magnega is perfect for rounding up enemies, and Thundaga obliterates them. No other commands are really needed when these are the ones you need to finish the job. It's even worse on Critical Mode, where I really learned the full extent of how insanely useful these commands were, to the point where they surpassed the other "2-slot" ones. I tried using Time Splicer on Final Vanitas, I really did. I ended up dying 3 times because he just kept hitting me during my attack and I couldn't do anything about it. It's just the other attacks are...so much better. I also wanted to mention Curaga really quickly; they sort of went back to KH1, where you can abuse Cure given the correct abilities (Magic Hastes and stuff), since it recharges so quickly. Not a HUGE deal, but just something I thought I'd point out. Now that doesn't mean I despise the combat; on the contrary, I still found it to be somewhat enjoyable, although I can see why a lot of the fanbase dislikes the system. It just wasn't very well balanced out, and especially on higher difficulties, it seems the only viable methods of attacking are through spamming those overpowered attacks. Even normal attacking is ruled out, because it's just not as good. I think it's mainly disappointment, because having played KH2 where you were given a bunch of good options to use and these cool combos, we go back to the normal 3 hit, and even weaker this time around. Terra's Slide is good, but Aqua and Ven's Cartwheel/Dodge Roll seem completely broken. When fighting the final bosses, I noticed by mashing Square, I can literally avoid any attack. That might just be luck on my part, but from what I can tell, you seem to be completely invincible while using their dodges. Obviously that's bad design, because it kinda destroys the skill and purpose behind dodging. The previous KH game's dodges didn't function like this, so it baffles why they decided to do this for this game. Another issue I have is with certain boss designs. You have to understand my perspective, after coming from a Critical Mode (and blind, mind you) playthrough of 2FM, I had the mindset of learning a boss's patterns and punishing accordingly. BBS didn't really give me any of that opportunity, as far as I can tell. The whole "Revenge Value" system is gone, and bosses just kinda do their thing. This wasn't too big of a deal until endgame, where certain fights in the final boss rush was a game of "run away, use Thunder/Fire Surge". I tried doing other methods on Critical; I honestly tried. I tried going in and being aggressive and died for it. I tried using powerful commands like Meteor or Magic Hour or Timer Splicer or Tornado, and I died. I even tried using Shotlocks (oh my god I haven't even talked about Shotlocks yet), and while it was useful on a few (notably Final Vanitas), I realized running away and using the Surge attacks during an opening was still the best option. Terra-Xehanort was also kind of bothersome, since he can heal himself (not sure if there's a pattern or just luck) and the only feasible method of getting damage on him quickly and not have the fight drag out for an hour is to reflect his dark bullets back at him. And don't get me wrong; I have nothing against that, but I guess I just expected a bit more sophistication after playing 2FM's bosses. Speaking of which, I haven't personally unlocked the Mysterious Figure fight but I've seen it on a YouTube video, and once again, it seems like a lot of Surge spamming and rolling. There's just not much strategy involved. I'll go over shotlocks really quickly; they're pretty damn useful, and I used it a LOT on my 1st playthrough. On the other hand, my 2nd playthrough sort of stopped using Shotlocks, just because I realized other options were better and more efficient. So yeah, a pretty neat and viable technique that was unfortunately undermined by other OP moves. So yeah, I know I said a decent amount of negative things about the game's story and gameplay, but that doesn't mean I hate it, nor does it mean I'm hating on the game. I'm just being critical, because that's generally how I am with my games. Good parts of this game? I liked the more expansive world design, even if platforming in certain areas are a bit janky. I absolutely loved the music and cinematics. I loved the atmosphere of certain areas. Mirage Arena was an absolute blast to play through, especially when overleveled as hell and you can just smash through wave after wave of enemies without a care in the world. However, these are all surface level enjoyment, and when I tried to go a bit more in-depth and learn about the game's mechanics, it just didn't have the same effect KH2 did on me. I can definitely see why some people love this game, while I can other see why others dislike it. For me, it's sort of an inbetween; I haven't had enough experience to fully comprehend what I truly think of the game, but I think this is a pretty solid answer from me. There's clunkiness here and there, but ultimately, I had fun playing through it (mostly), and that's what a good game should be all about, right? Final score: 7/10 I'll be playin through DDDHD next (PS4 coming in a bit!) and then 0.2, then maybe later Days/ReCoded. Who knows, I might even give Unchained X a try

  21. I wanted to talk about this for awhile; get my thoughts out on these forums, and maybe we can get some good discussion going. This is regarding the three main characters of Birth by Sleep: Terra, Aqua, and Ven. I don't like them. Not in the sense that they're "annoying characters" or in context of the game they're bad; it's literally because I don't think Square did a good job on establishing their personalities, characteristics, and most importantly, the character relationships between the three of them. When we compare them to the original trio Sora, Riku, and Kairi, they just seem...bland and boring. Terra is a teenage boy with a lust for Darkness inside his heart. Okay, so what's next? We basically know nothing about him aside from that. He goes to a world, becomes a villain (usually due to stupid decisions), learns his mistake, then becomes a villain again in the next world. It's unbelievably frustrating. Ventus is the youngest of the trio, and boring as hell. He acts somewhat similarly to Sora, but just less...interesting. Sora had specific traits and qualities that made him somewhat unique amongst others, even if his personality is the typical cliche "naive happy-go-lucky child". Ventus is basically a slightly diminished version of Sora's personality...with nothing else. The only thing of significance that's related to him is Vanitas, and even then, that doesn't stop him from being forgettable. Aqua is perhaps the most level headed out of the three, but honestly she doesn't have many interesting traits either. Ironically though (despite her awful voice acting in the English version), she is probably the most interesting out of the three (that's not saying much though) as she's the only one with a logical mind, and has a motivation behind her actions as she's trying to lookout for Terra and Ven, being the only Keyblade Master of the three. That being said, I can deal with these problems. However, what I do have grudge against is the relationship between the three. Their dialogue is awkward, and their friendship just doesn't seem very legitimate. The game attempts to prove their friendship at the beginning by showing them interacting for a few minutes and having a few sparring matches. The problem is that it really doesn't show me anything or give me any clue that they may be friends. They try to make up for this lack of character development by adding it on later on in the form of flashbacks, but that doesn't show me anything either. It just seems that the game is trying to desperately tell you that they're friends, even if they don't seem to act like so. You can't do that. You can't just tell me, "these people are friends" and expect me to believe that. People said the ending of BBS was depressing and sad. For me, I didn't feel anything. I didn't connect with these people throughout the game. The game told me they were friends, alright, but that's not enough for me. You have to SHOW me that they are friends with each other, that they care about each other, and show me HOW their character interaction/development strengthens their friendship. Just telling me "these three people are friends" is not enough, because if I don't see it in the way they act, I won't give a *** about their characters. Terra is left only with his lingering sentiment in the form of an armor. Aqua is stuck in the realm of darkness. Ven lost his heart and is likely to not wake up for a very long time. So what? I don't care. I don't care about these characters at all. The game attempts to build this weak friendship, and expects me to care about their tragic fates and sacrifices, but in the end, all I see are three characters meeting a tragic end. And that isn't enough for me. Perhaps a perfect example of what character development between friends should be like is actually 358/2 Days. Say what you want about the repetitive story and gameplay; the bond formed between Roxas, Axel, and Xion was unbelievably well done. You can tell they were friends. You can tell they cared about each other a great amount, even thought they supposedly can't feel. The game does so well in conveying that sense of friendship to you that you genuinely cared about them. Why do many people say Xion's death is the saddest scene in the series? It's because you formed a strong connection with the idea that those three are friends, so you genuinely felt sad when Xion dies in front of Roxas's eyes. This matters in a game where friendship is such a heavy theme. It was almost vital that BBS nails this bond between their three main characters, because that's what makes the story intriguing and captivating. Unfortunately, the way they presented the characters were poorly done, and they just didn't spend enough time on the three character's relations with each other until they progressed the plot. That is where BBS's story falls; it attempts to build a friendship, rushes it and fails, then attempts to get you to care about the characters that you know little to nothing about.

  23. As the long title states, this topic is about my opinions on Birth By Sleep and it's content. I don't mean to sound pretentious or immature in these opinions and feel free to share yours. Let's begin: Story: The story felt... okay. It was a decent prequel to the saga and it was nice having some fan-service and seeing the universe before the events of KH1, but I feel that the main plot is lacking. The main trio's fragmentation felt forced and out of nowhere with no buildup to it, and their friendship wasn't present either. The antagonists were great and had enough qualities to be likable and unlikable at the same time. The pacing was a moderate speed and events weren't rushed, but there were some slow moments. While the ending was kinda sad, it didn't make me very emotional and wasn't just worth it, partly because I didn't feel anything for the characters other than Ventus and maybe Aqua and Mickey. Overall, while it does some good things, there are problems that really ruin the story and the connection with the characters. Gameplay: The gameplay is good IMO. Exploration was great here, since there was a lot of platforming and worlds were filled with collectibles. It wasn't just "walk from one area to the next" and it gave use to some of the abilities you get, even if some weren't that great, however it was annoying having some areas locked for certain characters and travelling to the same places 3 times can be boring. The command deck was a departure from the traditional menu system from the numbered games, but is in my opinion a better version of the cards system from COM. It was fun putting different commands and using them alongside normal attacks against enemies without worrying about MP. Command styles are a cool idea/power-up, though having it inmediately end a combo was annoying and I would have loved to have some sort of customization with them. I also love that there's a lot of content in the game, and the 3 characters, while having a similar playstyle, felt different enough to aproach things in their own way. However, there are problems that end up ruining the system. Firstly, melding commands and abilites is unnecessarily complicated, and is a waste of time. Getting abilities was tedious, I'd rather have them be gained through leveling up instead of in the process of melding and the process of melding to get a certain command was even more frustrating. I constantly had to look up guides just to get a command I wanted, in the end it just wasn't fun. Then there was the balancing. Having 3 or 4 commands that are better than the rest is unprofessional and bad, though it didn't compel me to fill my deck with 6 Thunder Surges/Mines all the time. Shotlocks can be devastating and broken, but they didn't have much use outside of certain situations. Then there's the bosses. Early on they aren't bad, but late and post-game bosses really show the flaws of the system. Their AI is nothing but using attacks randomly with no cooldown or flow and the strategy to beat them is "abuse dodge roll while using 1 command that works best against it" which was boring. Not only that, but they make regular attacks feel weak and pointless. With some more adjustments, the command deck could've been just as great of a system as the menu, but it's problems are so glaring that it just makes it decent compared to the system of the numbered games. Graphics: The graphics still look good, though not as good as the PS2 games due to it being on a handheld. All the environments are varied and still faithful to the movies they're based off. Models are great and true to the spirit of the series, though I didn't like how the "default" face was almost always present during cutscenes. Cutscenes have a lot of flow in them and give the characters life, especially in the battle scenes. Overall, they're not too bad. Sound: Goodness. The music is as always phenomenal, with various themes that fit the scene they're in while also conveying various emotions. None of the pieces sounded weird or bad, and it all just made the game more fun. Voice acting, on the other hand, is a mixed bag. While there are some stellar performances like the ones of Ventus, Vanitas, Xehanort and Eraqus, others were okay or not that good, such as Terra, Aqua and some of the Disney characters. The voices either made a scene better or ruined it, so there's not much to say about that. Overall, though, the sound in this game is great. Overall, while Birth By Sleep added a lot to the lore of the series and introduced some good gameplay aspects and concepts, the problems it has only push it down and make it a game that isn't very loved by the community. While these problems do bother me, it doesn't distract from how much I enjoyed the game. The Final Mix content is a good bonus, while at the same time not making the original feel obsolete. This could be a temporary end to my marathon, since I'm at a crossroads as to wether I should play Re:Coded or skip it and wait for 2.8. I don't know about that, but for now, this is it.
  24. So, I have been working on a novel for quite some time, and I thought I would take a break to stretch my legs a little bit and do something new. Therefore, I decided to do a fanfiction (which I have not done in years ). I have been wanting to do a written version of 0.2 BBS ever since I saw the first trailer for it, but didn't get around to doing it until now. So, I took my knowledge of BBS and the latest trailers for 2.8 (plus the 0.2 gameplay and my own thoughts), to put together this fan written version of the story. For the most part right now, it stays pretty much along the lines of what we've seen so far, but as I progress further into the story (if you guys like it and want to read more), things will get more into how I personally see the game going. Now, for the moment, I'm just going to upload the small bit of what I have right now. I would definitely appreciate feedback on how I handle the story, but most importantly on writing. Let me know what you guys think and if you want to read more. If you guys like it enough, I'll continue onward! ^^ --------- I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Yet, there it was before my eyes: the Castle of Dreams. It was where I met Cinderella for the first time…and…Terra for one of the last. How long had it been since I helped him escape this fate that I now bear? I wondered what it would have been like if things had went the opposite way. What would he be doing down here? What would I be doing out there? I was still a bit shaken up after my last encounter with the darkness. That beast with the gleaming red eyes and the other creatures that were much smaller were not like the unversed. The unversed attacked as if they wanted to eliminate the enemy. However, these creatures attacked as if they wanted something from me. They wanted to take something away, but I didn’t understand what. I had nothing left to give… I continued onward cautiously as I passed through the trees that connected Cinderella’s home to the village. This world seemed to be fragmented as I did not see the house at all. The landscape was also torn asunder. Uprooted trees as well as bricks from the trail and other debris were suspended in the air. It was almost as if time had stopped during the complete annihilation of this world. For the moment, it was quiet, and eerily so. There was no sound whatsoever aside from my footsteps. It was just another element added to the emptiness that I felt in this place. At times, I wished that I would happen upon a place filled with people just so I didn’t have to be alone. Such a thought was completely selfish. I should never wish for anyone to experience this kind of darkness or any kind for that matter. When I arrived in the village, I saw that it was just as contorted and broken as everything else I had seen. I expected as much, but for some reason I kept hoping that I might find something or someone that could help me. I continued onward until I found myself at large fountain in the center of the village. I walked up to it and placed my hand over the frozen water that was spewing over into an umbrella shape. The chill of the ice matched its surroundings. The darkness was anything but warm and welcoming. I wondered how Xehanort could be so freely open to it. Why did he embrace the darkness? No good could come of it. My thoughts suddenly came to a screeching halt when I heard something nearby. I turned sharply in every direction, analyzing every inch of the place that my eye could see. My heart was racing as I feared that I might come across that large red-eyed beast from before. I summoned my keyblade swiftly, and as soon as I did, I was surrounded by the creatures that I had fought before. However, there was a difference in their appearance. These monsters were glowing red with flames atop their heads. They came my way quickly, spewing flames at me that I managed to dodge. I slashed them with my keyblade, but as I defeated them, they were replaced by even more. In addition, the creatures that crept along the ground like shadows had now appeared. I was now up against a number that was more than a few swats from my keyblade was going to accomplish. I cast a few blizzard spells there way and it seemed to be making some progress, but it still wasn’t enough. I channeled all of my strength as I lifted my keyblade up to charge my attack. I then fired my blizzagun spell at the monsters with success. The blast was enough to freeze and completely obliterate all of the dark creatures. I was alone again, but I knew better than to stay in one place for very long, so I continued onward toward the castle. I went through the gate and walked down the pathway as I looked up, admiring the size of the glowing white castle above. It was beautiful, and it appeared to be unscathed by the affects the darkness had on the rest of this world. However, that all changed quickly. Just when I though time had stopped, I heard the chiming of the castle clock. The bell echoed all over as the ground begin to quake beneath my feet. Shock came over me as I saw the trail disintegrate. I managed to jump back quick enough to escape falling, but I almost wished I had fallen. I was so tired. I wanted to escape the inescapable in any way I could. However, when I fell into those thoughts, I would remember Ven. I promised that I would be back for him. I couldn’t quit now. I began to think about what was going on for a moment. I gazed up at the clock and then down at the gaping hole in front of me. “The road collapsed when the clock advanced.” I said allowed to myself. That would mean that whatever had happened had to do with time itself. But what could it be? I turned around to return to the village and saw a glowing set of gears behind me. The gears were not there before, so I knew that they had to be connected to this issue I was in. I walked up to them, keyblade in hand, and whacked them with full force. They instantly began to turn and emit an even more radiant light than before. A glowing ball emerged and flew up toward the clock. As soon as it collided with the clock, the hands began to move backward one hour and a piece of the trail reappeared. So that was it. I went back toward the village to see if I could find more gears. There were four hours left on the clock, so there had to be four more gears. I managed to find them one after another, but not without running into more of those creatures. The battles were wearing me down, but giving up was not an option. At least not yet. I watched each glowing orb return to the clock and recomplete the trail before I made my way back to the castle. When I arrived at the gate, my passage was halted by a pool of darkness that had appeared. Like a volcano, a surge of the shadow creatures erupted from it. They appeared to have merged together this time. They must have thought they would get me if they all worked together. They were smarter than the unversed, but still not smart enough. I used my fire spells this time, blasting them with firagun a few times as they shot at me like a rocket. I then switched it up and used my spellweaver ability, bringing all of my magic together into one attack. I channeled my energy into a razor sharp spinning top that sliced through all of the shadows until none were left. As soon as they were gone, I ran through the gate and across the trail to the castle. When I finally made it to the courtyard, I stopped to catch my breath and rest. I looked up at the sky and saw glimmering lights like stars. It reminded me of that night back home. The last night that we were together. I mean, before everything changed. I felt a warm tear slide down my cheek as I reached up in the sky. I reached with all my might as if I could grab ahold of the past and somehow return to it. I wanted so bad to believe that one day things would be as they were again. “To spend one more night beneath the stars with them.” I whispered to myself. I’m doing it again. I thought. I have to stop that! “Aqua!” my heart immediately sank in my chest when I heard the voice. It couldn’t be. Could it? I turned and saw him descending the staircase. It was Terra. His eyes were a deep blue and his hair was an earthy brown. He was just as I remembered him before Xehanort took him. But how was he here? Why was he here? “What are you doing here, Terra?” I said as I ran up to him. He was smiling warmly at me, but he wouldn’t speak again. “Why are you not in the realm of light? Or wait! Did something happen to it?” I asked. He still stood silently. He seemed almost hollow beneath that smile that he carried on him. “Why won’t you say anything to me?!” I exclaimed as I reached out to take his hand. I gasped as my hand instantly went right through his. I stepped back slightly, looking over him as he began to glow and disappear. I felt a lump in my throat as I wanted to do something to make him stay, but I knew that I couldn’t. “So you’re just a memory. Are you here to try and tell me not to lose heart?” I said aloud. He was completely gone now. He had escaped me once again. I carried on, making my way up the steps and then paused. I took one more look back at the damaged world I had journeyed through. This realm seemed to keep memories alive, but what about the people that belonged in this world? What happened to them when their world was taken away from them? I had no way of knowing, but I was able to find solace in the fact that they weren’t here. At least they didn’t have to experience this darkness…
