  1. As you know, Square likes to always change the Kingdom Hearts games as development continues to progress (Kingdom Hearts 3D, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, etc.) I was looking around on a YouTuber's channel, which you may know him as Keytotruth, the guy who provided the English patch of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep: Final Mix. Back in March of this year, he created a video showing off some interesting beta screenshots/assets of Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. He compiled all the screenshots onto a dropbox, where you can see all the screenshots/assets of Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories from the beta build. They may seem interesting to you or very boring, though I find it cool that people still find these. Look at how horrid Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories looked like back then. I am certainly quite happy that the cards design' was changed. You can view the dropbox here.

  7. So, what kind of deck do you have for the endgame of RE: CoM? Personally, I use a high-value (number wise, not CP) Fire deck that takes advantage of the various AoE Fire element sleights. A majority of the CP cost comes from the Elixirs I use for easy restocking. I'll post a list later.
  8. This May 6th marks the ten year anniversary of the European launch of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the GameBoy Advance, having shipped roughly 200,000 units in Europe and 1.55 million copies worldwide. Though it is considered the least successful game in the Kingdom Hearts series, it has still received generally positive reviews, with the most praise directed towards the story. The tagline for this is "Adventure is in the cards." Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories was first announced, along with Kingdom Hearts II, at the Tokyo Game Show in September of 2003. The idea for a intermediary game began after Tetsuya Nomura and his team had already begun plans for Kingdom Hearts II. The original title then was Kingdom Hearts: Lost Memories, but the title was changed to match the premise of game, while keeping the theme of memories. It also provided a way to start Kingdom Hearts II with Sora and co. not having access to the abilities and equipment earned in the first game. While Nomura was hesitant to release a Kingdom Hearts game on the GBA, after considering his options and planning accordingly, and hearing that children wanted a Kingdom Hearts game for the GBA, he changed his mind. Since then, Chain of Memories has been released for the PS2 as Re:Chain of Memories and for the PS3 as part of Kingdom Hearts: 1.5 HD ReMIX. Of note is Jupiter's involvement in game development. The card system employed by Chain of Memories inspired the gameplay of Jupiter's next game "The World Ends With You". While many people clearly had fun with Chain of Memories for the GBA, PS2, and PS3, I want to know what you thought about the game. Did you have fun? What do you remember most about this unique entry in the Kingdom Hearts series?
  9. I don't recall Marluxia ever elaborating as to why he wanted to overthrow the Organization, so I was thinking about why... maybe it was because he found out about the plan to turn everyone into Xehanort? Maybe he wanted to destroy those super loyal to Xemnas? (Xigbar, Xaldin, Vexen, and Saix come to mind) I suppose he could've just wanted to be the leader and be all pompous and whatnot, but I feel like there would've been more to his reasons.

  12. On this day in Kingdom Hearts history: Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories was released in Japan. Happy 10th anniversary!
  13. I'm trying to go over 1.5 before 2.5 comes out. However I realized I never completed ReCoM. Don't ask me how, I stopped, forgot and didn't notice or think about it til now. My only problem is I whenever I do a playthrough of ReCom, I feel the need for the order of the worlds to be by the book (especially since the worlds' order decide how the cutscenes are lined up in theater mode). So does anyone out there (say with the official strategy guide) know the exact order of the worlds for ReCom? Both for Sora and Reverse/Rebirth?
  14. When it comes to opening a door to a new room, the hardest part for me is choosing a map card. Most of the time I dislike most of the rooms, but my favorite has to be Bottomless Darkness and Looming Darkness. I despise Almighty Darkness just because it's almost impossible to use single cards at Castle Oblivion. What is your favorite Map Card? What are your most used?
  15. 17. LARXENE!!!! I HATE HER SO MUCH!  Because she's very annoying! What the Organization XIII Member you hate in the whole Kingdom Hearts Saga?
  18. Okay, so I'm starting this thread because I'm confused on the subject. I read elsewhere (I couldn't find anything on KH13) that the Warp/Warpinator Sleights help you get enemy cards. I'm sitting here playing Re: Chain of Memories right now and finding it quite aggravating not to get what is expected. So I have a few questions. First off, does the enemy card benefit only apply to the Black Fungi and White Mushroom?Secondly, is it better to have 99 room cards? Also, does the trick only work if I eliminate all but one heartless, in which case, should I stock Warpinator until the end?Lastly, does the warp/warpinator trick have a better success rate if I perform it in rooms like Almighty/Teeming Darkness? All answers would be appreciated, and if necessary, will be replied to, publically, in the requirement of extra clarification.Thank you.
  19. The Kairi and Riku entries are so wack.... Firstly, The Riku entry has interesting word choices....Riku gave in to darkness...''baited'' is alright but it sounds kinda werid. Secondly, the Kairi entry seems incorrect to what happened. It says she was ''Held captive by the heartless''. But that never happened, all we see is her being dragged around by Riku, and eventually awakened by Sora. You never see the heartless do anything to her. O_o Even more, the words ''Captive'' or ''Kidnapped'' are never used in kh1; they aren't used in the journal. Only ''Saved'' e.g ''The Power of Kairi's heart was what saved Sora. '' Strange.....I know the journal gets wiped but what's up with this? Is it a translation error? Or did they already forget the specifics?
  20. Hi everyone, I just joined the site. I've been lurking here for I'd say about 2 years and have come to rely on this site for updates, news, etc. I really like this community and hope to stick around for a while. As for my question, it's about Re: Chain of Memories soundtrack. I tried searching for information myself but couldn't find any conclusive answers. As far as I know, Lord of the Castle was said to be the only reorchestrated track for Re: CoM (I have yet to hear it). Was it ever mentioned if other select tracks were reorchestrated as well? I may be crazy but I am almost certain that Forgotten Challenge (the battle theme for the 13th floor) was either enhanced, remixed, or remastered. I listened to the 2008 version and the seemingly different 2013 version on YouTube and concluded that there are differences. I'm confused because I've seen it mentioned several times that only Lord of the Castle got the reorchestration treatment. Can anyone confirm whether other tracks were indeed redone for the 1.5 HD Remix? By the way, I instantly heard what I perceived to be differences in Forgotten Challenge when I first heard the theme while playing the game.
  21. Hi all! As I now fully made up my mind to platinum Re:CoM, I am attempting to unlock the Undefeated trophy(Not pressing continue after you die) in it now. So far I have only completed 1 playthrough of Sora's on Standard difficulty. On what playthrough (Sora's or Riku) should I go for the trophy Undefeated. Also on what difficulty? On beginner difficulty of Sora's playthrough or on standard/beginner difficulty of Riku's playthrough? Any tips for the this trophy would be great... Thanks
  22. So I'm on 13F and I've reached the key to beginnings room but it's asking for 99 card points or whatever they're called. I don't want to use all my cards to get in there so I need a random joker. Just one problem... I don't have one and I can't find one either. So anyone know if there is a for sure way to get one or are they really just random jokers?
  23. In 1.5 the graphics for the cutscenes in RE:COM seem to be kinda..lazy or lagging compared to the gameplay. Anybody else notice? Or is it something I need to fix? I use an HDMI cable and there's noting wrong with Final Mix or Day's cutscenes, but when it comes to RE:COM it doesn't look as good.
