  6. Hey there everyone, how's it going!? So then, in just one week's time, Skillet's new album, Unleashed, shall finally release to the world, and I for one, cannot be any more hyped than I am right now! This album is going to rock, and all the songs so far, Feel Invincible, Stars and Back From The Dead have been amazing! But then, this song came along... Good lord almighty, THIS SONG!!!! I WANT TO LIVE!!!! I've loved all their new songs so far, but this song has definitely got to be my favorite from the album so far! It sounds so epic, and the lyrics are enough to give a person goosebumps! This song is definitely insanely good, and I just loved the violin! The violin in the intro sold me on this song! SO GUYS, THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER! ARE YOU GUYS AND GALS EXCITED!? CUZ I SURE AM!
  7. Hey there everyone, how's it going!? So then, if you don't know, there's this awesome Youtuber who goes by the name Jonathan Young, and I stumbled upon him when I was looking for music to listen to! The video that I clicked on was the one I'm about to show you! Enjoy! Yep, this song got me hooked, and I looked up more covers on his channel, and this dude is seriously talented! But so far, I just love this song, and I keep listening to it over and over because one, I love The Hunchback Of Notre Dame, and two, this cover was so dark and it symbolized the film perfectly! Overall, it was an awesome cover! Have any of you heard his songs?
  8. Ever wondered what a field theme and battle theme would sound like for Kingdom Hearts itself? Well, here's my medley "The Heart of All Worlds" that helped make my imagination real. Enjoy. If you enjoyed it, and if you'd like to, please give it a like and share it to others you might enjoy it as well.
  9. I've been composing music for a solid 7 years now. My music is greatly inspired by Yoko Shimomura herself. Ever since I played the original KH at 7 years old, I was hooked. The story was was very intriguing to me, and the beautiful has always stuck with me. I love how Yoko can write even just simple themes that stick with you. She writes melodies that you'll never forget. Something you can hum to yourself without even thinking about it. I strive to make rememberable themes too. If anyone on this site is looking for music for a game your developing or know some one who is, give me shout. I'd be happy to write some stuff. I'm looking for some more recognition. To give some examples of the kind of music I do, here's my KH3 mock soundtrack and some extra tracks.
  10. Hey there everyone, how's it going!? So then, as all of you very well know, I'm a huge Skillet fan, and I've been listening to their songs for years! And well, it just so happens that next month, their newest album, Unleashed, will release! Over the past month or two, I posted two songs here, Feel Invincible and Stars, which are both from their new album, and now, I bring you all their latest single, Back From The Dead! Such powerful and raw energy!!! I need to hear more from their album!!! August is so close!!!
  11. After 8 long years, Utada Hikaru is back to release a new album! Could it contain a song for KH2.8/KH3? I don't know but this kinda syncs up with Tokyo Game Show that starts September 15th and we might get some 2.8 news then. Here's the article if you'd like to read it.
  12. SUMMER IS HERE!! The sun is shining (hopefully) and it's the time of the year when Margate looks like Miami; we worship the sun; trousers become shorts and shorts become - shorter; lunch-time is tanning time; the world shares it's hotdog legs; and everyone's doing the dab dance; anywhere is a sun lounger; and we call nodding off - a siesta! To keep everyone in an upbeat, jolly mood during summer I thought we could all share our favourite song/music video on this page and get a big summer playlist going that everyone can listen to and celebrate this time of year! It would be interesting to see everyone's choice of song since we have people on kh13 from all over the world! Let's get the summer vibes and party started!
  13. Anyone who knows me could tell you just how much I love Kingdom Hearts, so I decided to do a vocal cover of Kairi's Theme with my own original lyrics! I renamed this version Destiny's Promise (Kairi's Theme), and it includes not only verses to the tune of Kairi's theme, but additional parts from Dearly Beloved mixed in between (also with my own original lyrics). it also changes things up a little from the repetitive tune of this song, and I'm happy with how that came out. All the sounds you hear in this were created and put together by me. If you enjoy my cover, feel free to check out my channel at youtube.com/tarastmichelmusic I currently have a live short version of Hikari up along with a version of Sanctuary I did for a school project a few years back. There's also anime covers and more on there too. I guarantee this WILL NOT be the last KH cover you hear from me if I can find an excuse to do more.
  14. For those of you who don't get the poorly written title of the thread, this is about ERB, more commonly known as Epic Rap Battles Of History, and unfortunately, it's also not about how good I think their overall content is. No, instead I'm going to talk about how Nicepeter and EpicLloyd, the creators of ERB, are apparently taking it upon themselves to use their content to push stupid agendas instead of just making it entertaining. To further explain, here's a battle that ERB did not too long ago: Thomas Jefferson vs. Frederick Douglass. And here's a battle they uploaded today: Bruce Banner vs. Bruce Jenner. You see a theme here? The battles were clearly decided as who would win during the writing process, instead of normally leaving it up to the viewer to decide. Douglass was outing Jefferson as a racist and Jenner was made to look "stunning and brave" by completely owning Bruce Banner/The Hulk (a complete waste of a character(s) for a rap battle, btw). Oh sure, the "You Decide" screen still plays, but that might as well say "We Decided, and these people win. Don't agree? Congrats then, you're racist and/or transphobic. Eat shit." Now, I don't want to completely trash ERB for what they did for the sake of finding some kind of light at the end of this very dark and offensive tunnel. At the very least, I can say that they had good intentions in mind. The Jefferson/Douglass battle was obviously uploaded due to Independence Day coming up soon, and the Banner/Jenner battle could easily be linked to the recent Orlando shooting, and ERB even managed to get a real-life transgender rapper, No Shame, to play Caitlin Jenner. But even after all that, the bottom line is that they let bias get in the way of their creativity and it severely hurt their content as a whole. And no, I'm not racist and I'm not transphobic. Thomas Jefferson wasn't racist and did the best he could do for our nation at the time and Caitlin Jenner is... an attention-seeker. And she killed someone. Those are the only views I hold regarding these two battles and they have nothing to do with the color of one's skin nor their sexuality, but rather the presentation of the battles and the character of those who created them and the people who they are centered around. ERB, I love your content, but this has to stop right the Hell now. Side note: if you want a deeper analysis of just how biased the Jefferson/Douglass battle is, as well as a take on what the battle would be like if it wasn't completely written in Douglass's favor, check out this awesome analysis video by YouTube rapper Matt4yo (who I expect to make a video addressing the Banner/Jenner video as well):
  15. HIYA, I'm Jun, or wabi, call me whatever, i made a ep inspired (and sort of a remix of) Kingdom hearts. Nearly every song samples a song from Kh and uses samples from the game itself. The last two do not sample Kh songs though (idk why i put those on their tbh). orginally the first 3 songs were meant to be part of an entire album that 99% consist of sounds and samples from the KH series (1% is just bass and some drums). While i stopped half way from laziness i may pick the idea back up at some point since im a much better producer than i was last year (not saying much tbh) well enough rambling heres the EP https://soundcloud.com/wabibeats/cold-coffee-on-christmas-eve-ep also here the original first single from the now on hiatus album, it has some samples and sounds you may reconize better than the other songs ( not sure why i didn't put this on the EP, silly me). https://soundcloud.com/wabibeats/somebody would love to see anyone else KH music too btw!!!!!
  16. https://soundcloud.com/kinode/vector-to-the-heavens-musique-pour-la-tristesse-de-xion After almost 4 months of working on this arrangement, and having just 3 days to learn the Cello part, me and my friends played it last night! I was very impressed with the support from the audience (we had a standing ovation!) and was pleasantly surprised that the school actually recorded the audio in high quality. So here's the recording, hope you guys enjoy it!
  17. So I made a UTAU and it sucks right now but its so bad its laughable. https://soundcloud.com/user-160363680/samurai
  18. My friend's channel has a small number of subscribers and i'm just trying to help him out. Could you please subscribe to his channel? https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcH...qR6e2xgZCQ_Oog
  19. Basically the only rules to this thread as that it has to be music from KH Fan made stuff counts as well. This is such... Makes me so sad yet it's so beautiful.
  20. https://youtu.be/jM4pVQlMLM0 I made a final battle theme that I thought could match at least one of many forms I'm sure Xehanort will have in KH3. I made sure to implement the choir as I thought it would match the mood. Just wanted to share
  21. I think it's pretty awesome. Well, it didn't seem to want to embed, but here's the link: https://youtu.be/6qrIoH3RqYw
  22. As you all know, the music for the "main campaigns" in Kingdom Hearts 2.5 and 1.5 had remastered music. (By main, I mean Kingdom Hearts II FM and Kingdom Hearts FM). Could the songs within Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD be remastered? Yoko Shimomura's work was excellent in the original, but I would like to hear the songs on a bigger scale.
  23. Hey there everyone, how's it going!? So hey, remember how I mentioned that Skillet is planning on releasing a new album this year? And remember that small preview of one of their songs!? Well here's a full single that came out this past Saturday! It rocks! Their new album, Unleashed, comes out on August 5th! I can't wait to hear the rest of the songs on the album! I certainly loved this one, so I'm definitely looking forward to hearing how the rest of the songs will fare out! Gahhh, Skillet is back, people!
