So after all of this time I've finally decided to take a look at what Pokkén Torunament actually was, and surprisingly, is a Pokémon based Tekken. Now, here's my question, what's all this hype about? I like Pokémon quite a lot, I've played most of the games, so that doesn't leave me out as a "Pokémon fan". This isn't trying to be offensive at all, it's pure curiosity, why do you want to play this game? Sure, it'll be fun, but it just doesn't look like Pokémon anymore, they've just settled a different route, having games like a Candy Crush Pokémon (Pokémon Rush). To be honest, I would play Tekken or Mortal Kombat before Pokkén Tournament, I want to see what's different, why are some of you interested in this title so much! Thanks for the response in advance!

I just randomly found this, and it fits my own thoughts perfectly.

There are many Pokemon known as Legendaries. These Legendary Pokemon acted as gods for those below them. With their powers, Legendary Pokemon can alter the landscape, control the emotions of Pokemon, and even control space and time. To many, these Pokemon were simply rumors. However, these Pokemon were very real. A few select Pokemon would act as Assistants for the Legendaries, and would help them in any way that they could. And upon all the Legendaries was the Overseer Legendary, Arceus. He was the Legendary that kept all others in check. He was the most respected of the Legendaries, both amongst the mortal Pokemon and amongst the Legendaries themselves. However, one day, a Legendary Pokemon named Giratina, ruler of the dead, was about to attack Arceus. For sake of keeping himself alive, Arceus split himself into many parts, scattering all over the world. One of these parts was sent to Arceus's Assistant, a Garchomp, in the form of a plate. An inscription on the plate read, "Giratina wishes to kill me. Help me gather the mortal world's most powerful entities. Have them find the rest of me." This Garchomp then set out on a journey, telling everybody about what has happened. Eventually, the whole world knew. This caused many to form groups of Pokemon Explorers, to find the remaining pieces of the Legendary Pokemon Arceus. Your journey leads you to the center of all Explorers, Arc Town, where many soon-to-be explorers meet and form teams. However, just as well, Giratina knew very well what had happened. He sent his own subjects to recover the pieces of this Legendary Pokemon. Will you be willing to risk it? Will you fight to protect the gods? Or do you simply want fame and glory? That is up to you. A goal has been given to you. Will you fight for it? Rules 1. No godmodding. 2. No killing. Only kill if both the killer and killed get my permission.(yes, I am allowing killing. There will be some dark themes present in this RP.) 3. Romance is allowed, but keep it to a T rating. 4. This is, in fact, a partner-based RP. Also quite curious. Bio: Senchi grew up with only his mother. She taught Senchi a lot about fighting and nature. She also took Senchi to many different places, leading him to be happy with finding new places. Eventually, Arceus broke into pieces, and the call for Explorers came around. Wanting to see the world, Senchi saw this as the perfect opportunity to do so. However, his mother refused. So eventually, Senchi sneaked away from his home, heading towards Arc Town to find a new home and to form an Exploration Team. Moveset: Sky Uppercut, Crunch, Body Slam, Work Up. Likes: Nature, fighting, learning about others, fairness. Dislikes: Sweets, people that push him away. What your character is good at: Hand-to-hand combat, climbing various landscapes. Flaws: Can easily become too intrusive, won't fight if the opponent is too weak. Reason for forming an Exploration Team: He wants to see the world and what it has to offer. According to a reddit AMA with Dave & Buster's Senior Vice President, Kevin Bachus, the currently Japan-only Pokemon fighting game, Pokken Tournament, may come to the United States. Mr. Bachus stated that they are currently planning on testing the game and they seem "optimistic" about the game being featured in their arcades. The exact exchange from the AMA is as follows: Now all of my posts concerning the new fighters don't seem so unnecessary! There are currently nine pokemon featured in the game, and seeing as the game is exclusive to arcades, it seems a bit unlikely that additional fighters will be added, but only time will tell! First things first there is going to be a couple of disclaimers here: this post is going to be long, frankly we have alot to cover its only part one (possibly) some of my freinds on here have got me to start writing a story about this character, i feel like i need some backround info to help people understand who he is. and this will also be a good gauge to see if anyone even WANTS to know about him or cares to read the story here. if you are intrested/want to hear more please tell me i love feedback. Hex is a pokemon OC based off a Banette. he was created for the PokeTan Roleplay community on facebook. They said i could go dark with him. and i ran with it. hes a pretty twisted character. but if you read the pokedex entries banettes are pretty twisted too. here are some of the pokedex entries that are pretty important to who he is. Banette generates energy for laying strong curses by sticking pins into its own body. This Pokémon was originally a pitiful plush doll that was thrown away. Hex has 4 attacks like any other pokemon he generates these attacks from his pins that he stabs into himself. they are color coded too Red= Shadow Claw. shadows swirling around his hand forming into these sharp claws. Purple= Shadow Sneek. you know how the shadow heartless in kingdom hearts get around. he can do that doesnt need shadows for it to happen (you can use that attack when you battle in the game and its broad daylight) Green:Toxic. Thick green posinous air fills the air and would knock a person out, slowly doing more and more damage. White: Will-o-wisp, fireballs the attacks remain active so long as the pins are still in him and he can do more than one pin and kinda combo it. he can also float (ghost) and levitate other things as well as puppeter/possess the doll he used to be to do things or get places he normally couldnt (shup well get to that later) Strong feelings of hatred turned a puppet into a Pokémon. If it opens its mouth, its cursed energy escapes. unlike a normal banette that's mouth is zippered shut. hex's mouth is sewn shut. he cant phisically talk. he talks by speeking telopathically in the others head. i use hashtags at the begining and end of it because i wanted him to talk diffrently than other roleplayers (he isnt talking like them) i wanted it to be unique to him. and also.you know in anime when the people get angry and theres a hashtag like symbol on there head. well he is a pokemon brought to life from his own hate and rage. and hes talking in your head. it just kind of made since. #SoOmETiMeS I aLtErNaTe THE letters lIke THIS# because the voice is supposed to sound like a demented ghost kid. thats distorting and echoing around in the other persons head. This Pokémon developed from an abandoned doll that amassed a grudge. It is seen in dark alleys. A doll that became a Pokémon over its grudge from being junked. It seeks the child that disowned it hex has alot of rage and hate for the kid that abandoned him. but he cant find the kid and he cant get to far from his ally (you know how spirits get tied to things hes tied to the doll he used to be) so he takes his anger out on the kids that come past his ally. and is responsible for alot of the dissaperences in the ally. he "plays" with them (more like torchure). "eats" them (hes got a zipper going down from his chest to his stumach diagnoally it opens up to this big gapeing hole he zips it in and its gone) and collects there skulls and anything they have that he finds intresting. he also adds chunks of there flesh to this cloak he has. it has 3 points like a banette red button eyes and is kinda patchwork from the diffrent skins. Apperance: hex is a child (abet a demented seriously disturbed one) hes about the size of a small child with silver hair, red eyes that glow and on the right side of his face he has scars going down from the bottom of his right eye to the bottom of his chin. it looks like cracks almost like broken glass. thats where he got hurt as a toy when he was junked his face cracked. he has dead looking skin (he is a ghost pokemon after all) and hes kind of sewn into these "footie" pajamas (teddy feet) they have alot of zippers (the big diagnoal one down his chest he uses to "eat" and one with pockets where he stores his pins. and are kinda patchy as well) then of course theres his cloak. Notes; Hex Is a CHILD. He can be really childish and immature, hes not the best at controling his emotions (expecially his anger) and will throw fits/tantrums. he loves to play and sees the rest of the world like his games and people as his toys. and is extreamly sadistic and devious yet he can be very sweet and niave about alot of things (hes still a kid hes just corrupted by alot of that rage/hate) (i want him to grow as a character and someday get past it basically just havent decided how) Hex has a huge sweet tooth hex is a collector (children skulls and anything he finds intresting that they have really) he gets really flustered and akward with a person whos being truely kind and genuine to him. he doesnt know how to handle it hes used to being treated with anger or fear, pain even not really people being nice to him. hex floats normally and isnt used to walking he stumbles around on his feet almost babywalks sometimes.. hes really sinsitive to light (constantly hideing in the dark only comeing out at night you would be too) his voice gets less demented and distorted and echoy and more and more childlike the more he gets thrown off or taken aback/flustered with something or emberessed. or if hes really anxious or shy. Shup shup was made from a nessesity really in me and my freinds roleplay she was a detective trying to catch who was responsible for the missing children our biggest issue was how do you catch a ghost (specially since her detective was another pokemon) we came up with shup. shup is basically the doll that hex used to be. (you know how ghosts get attached to things in the stories?) hes attached to his doll (that i modled after a shuppet a banettes first form (hence the name shup) thats why he didnt really leave his ally. he couldnt without shup. so when her character managed to get shup she kinda had him and stuff. but we both wanted hex to overcome that 'get stronger" so he got to the point he can posses shup kind of puppeter him to do things and go places he normally couldnt. and is just kind of another tool for him to use, shup floats when hex is posessing him he can use all of shups attacks (the fireballs and toxic smoke come out of his mouth and his shadow claws are like razor sharp needles sticking out of its hands).

Blaziken joins the tournament! I am getting hyped for this game because I have a hunch that it will be ported to the Wii U and will come overseas. Maybe it's wishful thinking. Who do you all want to see in Pokken Tournament?

If you are unaware, Pokken Tournament is a Japanese arcade fighting game coming to... arcades later this month. Players fight as a Pokemon of their choosing in a 3-D arena (meaning, players can move forward, backward, left, right, and up). So far, here are the confirmed playable Pokemon: Lucario Machamp Gardevoir Pikachu Gengar Suicune Recently, two new Pokemon were added to the roster. For all the Pokemon fans, does anyone ever feel like they need to make a remake of Pokemon Colosseum? That amazing Gamcube game back in 2003 that later led to the sequel of "Gale of Darkness." It seems like many people forget about the Colosseum series these days. A friend of Nora's even said, "Pokemon X and Y is the first ever 3D Pokemon game." Nora then gave a sad look saying, "No...Colosseum was..." Nora's not a die-hard Pokemon fan, but she absolutely loved Colosseum. Nora remembers playing the game for the first time when she was younger. She was so surprised on how dark of a plot it was compared to other Pokemon games. The characters themselves were amazing too! ^^ Nora really wishes they would make a remake for the WiiU or 3Ds, or maybe even a 3rd game (heck look at all the Eevees we could use now!). Anyone else feel the same?

I was watching the anime and saw the episode where ghastly did a fusion of venusaur and blastoise to get venustoise and it got me thinking about it possibly becoming an element in future games and what combinations would be cool I would love to see a Gallanite that combines Gallade's rad sword arms and Dragonite's awesome being-a-dragonness
