  4. On Saturday, May 30 2015, the floor plan for E3 2015 was released. The floor plan details where each company will have booths set up for those attending the conference in person. Thanks to a member of the NeoGAF forums, the layout can be seen here: Notice anything interesting? It seems as though Square Enix and Disney have booths right next to each other at this year's conference! It may not seem like much, but it could be great for speculation. What do you think? Is there significance to the Disney and Square Enix booths being next to each other? Let us know what you think in the comments.

  6. We're getting a clearer image of Square Enix's plans for E3 as the calendar moves closer to June 16, where Square Enix will be holding their E3 2015 press conference. Thanks to NeoGAF user Nirolak, we've learned that Square Enix will be announcing several new games during their E3 press conference. According to a Square Enix corporate website, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (which was announced in April 2015) and "several other additional titles" will be "announced" during the conference. It is possible that the several other titles are simply referring to the other websites on the results briefing slides, but we also have to consider the possibility of any surprise announcements. What titles are you hoping our friends at Square Enix will announce at the coming E3 event? Could they be referring to the official overseas announcement for Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ, or perhaps something else? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

  8. Took a while to make, but here is a list of the many properties owned by either Disney or Square Enix that have yet to be made into a world. Not saying all these should be worlds, but some have some interesting elements that the series could use in the future (summons, boss battles, etc.) Also, not all these are probable but I decided to put everything noteworthy on the table 'cause who knows what might happen in the future: The Reluctant Dragon (short)DumboBambiIchabod Crane (short)Lady and the Tramp101 DalmatiansThe Sword in the StoneThe Jungle BookThe AristocatsRobin HoodThe RescuersThe Fox and the HoundThe Black CauldronThe Great Mouse DetectiveOliver & CompanyPocahontasThe Emperor's New GrooveAtlantis: The Lost EmpireTreasure PlanetBrother BearTeacher's PetHome on the RangeThe Princess and the FrogDinosaurChicken LittleThe WildMeet the RobinsonsBoltTangledWreck-It RalphFrozenBig Hero 6Song of the SouthTreasure Island20,000 Leagues Under the SeaOld YellerMary PoppinsHoney, I Shrunk the KidsThe Mighty DucksThe Santa ClauseFlubberThe Country BearsThe Haunted MansionNational TreasureSky HighEnchantedRace to Witch MountainThe Sorcerer's ApprenticeJohn CarterThe Lone RangerMaleficentThe WuzzlesAdventures of the Gummi BearsDarkwing DuckThe Mighty DucksBonkersGargoylesDougRecessThe Proud FamilyTeamo SupremoStanleyKim PossiblePuccaDave the BarbarianBrandy & Mr. WhiskersSuper Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!American Dragon: Jake LongThe Buzz on MaggieLittle EinsteinsYin Yang Yo!The ReplacementsHandy MannyPhineas and FerbFish HooksGravity FallsToy StoryA Bug's LifeMonsters, Inc.Finding NemoThe IncrediblesCarsPlanesRatatouilleWALL-EUpBraveMarvelStar WarsIndiana JonesLabyrinthMonkey IslandGrim FandagoThe MuppetsBear in the Big Blue HouseHerbie, the Love BugWho Framed Roger RabbitKilala PrincessSpectrobesEpic MickeyDragon QuestChrono Trigger Tomb RaiderHitmanDeus ExThief Full Metal Alchemist*** Soul Eater*** ***Thanks to REOrulz for pointing out these missing propeties
  9. What is your most anticipated Square Enix game of 2015? KH3 is (sadly) definitely not coming this year. We all know FFXV will be out in 2016, and Star Ocean 5 is also looking like a 2016 release. Kingdom Hearts Unchained X would be one, but it's likely gonna be Japan-only until 2016. For me, it's Dragon Quest Heroes.
  10. Since Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII was released, director Motomu Toriyama, lead scenario writer Daisuke Watanabe and game design director Yuji Abe have been extremely quiet. We've literally only heard from Toriyama once since then: On December 27, 2014 in a developer survey with 4Gamer.net, Toriyama said “My next title is in well underway in development. We'll be able to announce it in 2015, so please look forward to it!” The question is, what are they working on? Nearly two months ago, Square Enix president & CEO, Yosuke Matsuda confirmed a new JRPG for home consoles will be revealed at or around E3 2015. He was likely talking about Toriyama's title or simply Star Ocean 5. In an interview with Famitsu.com, Motomu Toriyama confirmed he was in Business Division 1, which is headed by Yoshinori Kitase. This Business Division structure started in December 2013. Of course this is no surprise since these two have worked together since 1999 as director & producer respectively and even before that on Final Fantasy VII in different roles. So of course, whatever Toriyama is directing, Kitase is of course producing. Other staff very likely to be working on Toriyama's title include the following: Yuji Abe (Game Design Director) Nobuyuki Matsuoka (Battle System Director) Daisuke Watanabe (Scenario Writer) Masashi Hamauzu (Composer) All four have no announced projects at Square Enix, all four worked on the XIII trilogy and the last two worked on the FFX series as well. Now the question is what are they working on? The platforms appear likely to be PlayStation 4 & Xbox One since business division 1 will have no announced projects when Mobius Final Fantasy releases very soon (looking like next month) and divisions 2 to 7 each have at least one new game in development for PlayStation 4. Is their new project related to an older entry such as X or VII? Is it a new Final Fantasy title? Is it a new IP? Is it a new Parasite Eve or dare I say it, Front Mission? Hopefully we find it out soon whatever it is.
  11. Bad news for mobile gaming haters. Square Enix has said mobile gaming is "expected to expand by hundreds of billions of yen" and "worldwide". And this is after Final Fantasy Record Keeper made over 16 billion yen worldwide since September 2014. Translation: Lots more mobile games coming!!!
  12. Square Enix has posted a $81.8 million profit thanks to mobile games like Final Fantasy Record Keeper and MMOs like Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.
  13. Okay, today I'll be talking about why I think an FF7 remake is still very possible. You remember what Square Enix did at PS Experience? Now it may have seemed like they were trolling us, but... What if this is just a "testing their waters" move? Maybe they just wanna see if there is still genuine interest in FF7. However, I don't think this port alone would be enough to convince them. I also think FFXV needs to do well. Remember when they said in order to remake FF7, they first need to make an FF that surpasses it in quality? Well, that's a tall order. Anyway, what if FFXV DOES surpass FF7 in the fan base's opinion? Does that mean we'll get an FF7 remake? Well, it seems possible. FFXV is likely to release in 2016, just one year after that will be FF7's 20th anniversary. So, if this port of FF7 sells well, and FFXV surpasses FF7, then an FF7 remake might happen? It would certainly be good way to celebrate the 20th anniversary, and SE would be swimming in cash. It might be wishful thinking, but I think SE might be saving the FF7 remake announcement for the game's 20th anniversary. What are your thoughts?
  14. Agni is back in a new tech demo, as Square Enix shows off its new power in Luminous Studio. Hajime Tabata introduces himself and talks about utilizing this technology in Final Fantasy XV. Shortly afterward, we can see a real-time display of Agni crying, one of the hardest expressions to emulate in gaming. You can see the short video below. https://youtu.be/2ykt9af9oME
  15. If you have yet to pick up either of the Kingdom Hearts HD collections for PS3, or any of the other games in the series; then you are in luck! Square Enix’s North American online store is having a Kingdom Hearts series sale. Every Kingdom Hearts game is on sale with 30% off (the only exception is that chain of memories for GBA is out of stock). The Kingdom Hearts piano collection CDs are also 30% off, but the other soundtracks are at their normal price. This is a great deal considering you can get Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix Limited Edition for $20.99 USD (1.5 HD Remix is $13.99 USD). You also get 5 Square Enix store reward points with each Kingdom Hearts item that is on sale that you purchase, and free shipping with orders over $100 (if you are within the lower 48 states). Do you plan on picking up anything that is on sale? If so, feel free to talk about it in the comments. Source: https://store.na.square-enix.com/kingdom-hearts# Update: Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance for the 3DS, and Chain of Memories for GBA seem to have sold out. Instead of an add to cart option on the store, they have a waiting list option. No news on when Square Enix plans on restocking those two games, or if you can still get the discounted price when you are put on the waiting list.
  16. The following is a detailed list that contains every single announced and rumoured title that could appear at Square Enix's first major press conference since 2011's 1st Production Premiere Event which only focused on Square Enix Japan's first four business divisions. For reference, that conference featured the announcement of Final Fantasy XIII-2, and also covered Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Final Fantasy Agito XIII's re-announcement as Final Fantasy Type-0, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance and Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy. Firstly, let's focus on Square Enix Japan. Motomu Toriyama's title. The man who has directed more Final Fantasy games than anyone else ever confirmed on December 27, 2014 in a developer survey with 4Gamer.net that “My next title is in well underway in development. We’ll be able to announce it in 2015, so please look forward to it!” Recently, Square Enix president & CEO, Yosuke Matsuda confirmed a new JRPG for home consoles will be revealed at or around E3 2015, there is a strong chance this is the same title. What could the title be? Final Fantasy X-3 seems the most likely after Kazushige Nojima's infamous audio drama which is again included in the upcoming PlayStation 4 port of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD and novella. Mobius Final Fantasy A console-quality title for smartphones. It will likely launch in Japan shortly after E3 2015. Final Fantasy VIII for PS4 port After the Final Fantasy VII port it's likely the PC version of Final Fantasy VIII will be ported to PlayStation 4. Lightning Saga for PlayStation 4 & Xbox One 1080p assets already exist for the trilogy after the recent PC ports. Final Fantasy XV Dare I say it, a release window could be announced. Final Fantasy Agito/Final Fantasy Agito+ Sony's taking awhile to fix Agito+'s issue and the international version of Agito is yet to be shown. Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII- & The 3rd Birthday HD remasters Tabata made it clear he didn't want to remaster them but due to demand and the fact Crisis Core is unplayable on modern hardware I'll have them here. Kingdom Hearts III It'll be at D23 but they could still show a teaser at E3. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 & 2.5 ReMIX for PS4 They're likely to be ported at some point and Tai Yasue made that clear back in December. Kingdom Hearts 3D HD Remaster Tetsuya Nomura confirmed it's possible and I'd be surprised if it isn't ported to PS4 before KH3 is released. SaGa (2015) A brand new SaGa game is in development for the PlayStation Vita to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the SaGa series. News has been quiet since announcement and no international announcement yet. Final Fantasy Explorers & Final Fantasy 3DS port Trademarked in the U.S last year, still no announcement. Final Fantasy II 3DS port Since they ported the first game I'd be surprised if they didn't port the second. Dissidia Final Fantasy Currently in testing in Japan, Hazama made it very clear he wanted it exclusive to arcades for at least a year. I wouldn't expect any news outside of Japan until they are ready to port it to PS4. Theatrhythm Kingdom Hearts Hazama has discussed doing this before and after the recent Dragon Quest version it's possible, but I'd say it's more likely for D23. Rampage Land Rankers From Mitsunori Takahashi, the director of Dissidia 012 and developed by HexaDrive. Unfortunately it's probably too small for an event like this. Theatrhythm Dragon Quest Localization wouldn't be too hard for this one, wouldn't be surprised if we get it localized. Final Fantasy VII G-Bike It's coming worldwide but we haven't seen it in English yet. Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward Releases a week later and is at pretty much every event. Final Fantasy XI: Rhapsodies of Vana’diel I'd be very surprised if they showed this. Final Fantasy Grandmasters A mobile spin-off from FFXI is unlikely to get much attention at E3. Final Fantasy XI Mobile There just isn't room for it. Dragon Quest Heroes No information since announcement of international release, would be surprised if it's not there. Bravely Second After the first title's success it's a good chance to appear. Dragon Quest XI Would expect this at TGS to be honest. Dragon Quest 3DS titles Four 3DS titles sitting exclusively in Japan, they know there is some demand so hopefully some of them are coming. Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness No international announcement yet, isn't big outside of Japan but could be a great chance to show off it in the western market. School of Ragnarok It's an arcade game but a console port appears possible. Final Fantasy XII HD Remaster Kitase said he wanted it, it's a mainline title and there's plenty of demand. Final Fantasy Legends: Crystal of Space-Time Tokita's last new game, Final Fantasy Dimensions appeared at E3 2012, this one could too. A new Mana game There's a new Mana game coming for the 25th anniversary, likely for handhelds. Chaos Rings III & Chaos Rings III: Prequel Trilogy No international announcement yet but is likely to get one at some stage. Rise of Mana No international announcement and appears unlikely to get one now. Final Fantasy Portal App It's been trademarked, it's coming, but unlikely to appear. Holy Dungeon Would expect this to be released worldwide, but I would be shocked if it was at E3. Final Fantasy III PS4 port Would be a waste of time at E3. Now for the western titles Rise of the Tomb Raider Probably Square Enix's 2nd biggest title in development. While likely to feature at Microsoft's press conference the official Twitter accounts for Tomb Raider & Crystal Dynamics retweeted the conference. Just Cause 3 Just Cause 2 was a smash hit and there is plenty of hype for this title. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Another title with plenty of hype. Hitman 6 They pretty much confirmed it to appear at E3 2015 last year. Triad Wars Currently in beta, might want to promote the launch. Nosgoth Currently in beta, might want to promote the launch. Life is Strange Episodes 4 & 5 unlikely to be released at this point.
  17. After last year putting out a disappointing E3 Square Enix is set to respond with the biggest line-up in their proud history. The certainties Final Fantasy XV (PlayStation 4 & Xbox One) Rise of the Tomb Raider (Xbox One & Xbox 360) Just Cause 3 (PlayStation 4, Xbox One & PC) Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (PlayStation 4, Xbox One & PC) Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward (PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 & Mac) The likely Motomu Toriyama's new title - President & CEO, Yosuke Matsuda has confirmed a new JRPG will be revealed for home consoles at or around E3, it is most likely Toriyama's since all other divisions have already announced their main projects and Toriyama himself said he will reveal it in 2015. Most likely majority of core XIII team working on it. Hitman 6 (PlayStation 4, Xbox One & PC) - only title in development at IO Interactive, Hitman 5's main events were E3 2011 & 2012. Dragon Quest Heroes (PlayStation 4) - Already out in Japan, announced for international release Final Fantasy Explorers (Nintendo 3DS) - Already out in Japan, trademarked in U.S The maybes and unlikely Kingdom Hearts III (PlayStation 4, Xbox One) - Already confirmed for D23, they might wait till then. Another teaser is still possible. Life Is Strange (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 & PC) - First series will have two episodes left. Bravely Second (Nintendo 3DS) - No international announcement yet but the first game did really well. Mobius Final Fantasy (iOS/Android) - Most likely released in Japan by this stage. No international announcement yet but it is trademarked and the official website is available in English. Dragon Quest games (Nintendo 3DS) - Five Dragon Quest games on Nintendo 3DS. They're aware of the demand and are up to releasing at least one of them internationally. Final Fantasy Legends: Toki no Suishō (iOS/Android) - Directed, designed & written by Takashi Tokita and with indication from the man himself that there will be an international release it could find a place in the booth similar to the game it's following up, Final Fantasy Dimensions. SaGa (PlayStation Vita) Brand new SaGa game to celebrate the 25th anniversary, no word on international release. Triad Wars (PC) - There has been talk of porting it to PlayStation 4 & Xbox One. Currently in Open Beta. Nosgoth (PC) - Currently in Open Beta. Final Fantasy Agito (iOS/Android) - International release announced at E3 last year, president confirms it's still coming. Final Fantasy Agito+ also in development for PlayStation Vita. Final Fantasy VII G-Bike (iOS/Android) - International release announced at E3 last year, president confirms it's still coming. Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness (PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 3) 30% complete, international release yet to be announced. A new Mana game - Rise of Mana's producer hinted at a new game for the series' 25th anniversary.
  18. Yosuke Matsuda, the President of Square Enix has confirmed they will continue porting their mobile games to other platforms. He points out PS4 & PS Vita in particular. They also port mobile games to PC. Square Enix's mobile divisions mostly use Unity which makes porting to almost all other platforms easier, with the exception of 3DS. Deadman's Cross, Rise of Mana and all four Chaos Rings games are available on PS Vita while the iOS/Android HD remasters of Final Fantasy III and Final Fantasy IV are available on PC. Likely games to be ported in the future include Mevius Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy III, Final Fantasy IV, Final Fantasy V, Final Fantasy VI and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years.
  19. As 2015 progresses, we still lurk for information and fragments of the Kingdom Hearts series, specifically Kingdom Hearts 3. I, like everyone else here is a fan and I'd like to contribute some of my work to you just as an entertainment piece to hold us a little bit longer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEmqansKsXM
  20. For an in-depth look at Square Enix's Business Divisions please click here.
  21. Square Enix has released Kane & Lynch: Dead Men on PlayStation Now, joining its sequel Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days and many other Square Enix titles. Still quite a few left to add though.
