What is your favourite TV show at the moment? Can't be one you're rewatching. Mine would have to be The Wanted Life.

http://www.ign.com/a...original-series Beware the Batman isn’t the only new addition to the DC Nation block; Teen Titans Go!is also in the pipeline. Producers Michael Jelenic and Aaron Horvath were at Comic-Con to discuss the new animated series, and they were quick to point out that it’s different from the original Teen Titans animated series. It’s comedic and has absolutely no ties to its predecessor except for the characters (and the actors voicing them) and won’t necessarily follow any continuity established with the characters in that show. Jelenic explains, “This series basically takes those core characters. We’re going to have the same voice cast, the same characterization as the original Teen Titans and we’re putting them in new situations, primarily comedic situations. There’s almost zero fighting. If they are fighting, they’re fighting over stuff like who gets to make a sandwich. They use their powers, but they use them primarily in a comedic way. And also Robin is kind of made the fool in this series. He’s the only guy who doesn’t have superpowers, so that’s a big insecurity for him.” Given the changes and that Teen Titans have some pretty dedicated fans, Horvath said, “We’re terrified of what the hardcore fan base is going to think. There’s no continuity. In fact, the marching orders were this is not that series. We’re not linking up. Even if we tried, our tone is so different it wouldn’t match up.” Jelenic knows some fans will be disappointed but offered this reassuring viewpoint: “What I really think the appeal of the old show was is the five main characters and how they interacted. That is definitely carried over. Those five characters were made for sort of a sitcom format. They’re sort of old friends, and that’s what we’re trying to go for. We’re trying to go for a bunch of people’s first year at college sort of tone.” They’re all living together away from adult supervision. Hijinks will ensue. They producers said they've definitely been influenced by the New Teen Titans shorts that have already appeared in the DC Nation block but added that even those are too inside. Viewers won’t need to know anything about the DC universe to enjoy the show. As opposed to Jelenic, Horvath doesn’t have a comic book background. His background is with MAD TV. They were intentionally paired to play off each other. Horvath says one reason he’s involved is because they knew he wouldn’t be precious about jokes. Jelenic reinforced that: “They want to stay away from being too loyal to these old shows. They don’t want someone from the old show to put in a joke that only they would get. Aaron has no loyalty.” He can look at the universe with a fresh perspective. As far as the format, the show will consist of two 11-minute stories, a la Adventure Time and Regular Show. They will be self-contained and there won't be any themes or overreaching arcs that stretch across the season. Horvath teased, “We don’t believe in themes.” At the panel, Jelenic and Horvath reviewed the above and confirmed they won’t be pulling characters from outside the Titans-verse just yet. They’ve got plenty to keep them busy. Jelenic said, “We want to mostly stick to the characters the old show had; I don’t think we’re going to be bringing in outside characters. There will just be a couple of exceptions.” Trigon will definitely appear. They also teased some images of the Titans' apartment, and the humorous tone shined through in the art. Teen Titans Go! will join DC Nation in 2013 Sooo yea apparently this is the new direction they're taking with the show now, i'm ok with the whole comedy theme but seriously? No fighting villains at all? That basically defeats the purpose of this show right there! *sigh* but anyways what do you guys think about this?

So, as many of you know, there is a new Mickey Mouse show on DIsney Channel, featuring Chris Diamantopoulos as Mickey's Voice actor. This gets me worried, because I really like Bret Iwan. Do you guys know if Chris is going to be permanent? From the looks of it, Bret Iwan isn't doing anything new for Mickey Mouse. His most recent anything is from two episodes of Mickey Mouse clubhouse in 2013, but thats it. Do you guys think he quit? He did Mickey for KH3D, Birth by Sleep, and Re:Coded.

TV New Sonic the Hedgehog Cartoon coming soon!

"Sonic Sez Friendship is Magic This certainly came out of nowhere – a source has tipped us off that Dave Polsky, writer for such TV shows and movies like South Park, Frank TV, Scary Movie, and My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, was dropping hints at the Ohio-based My-Little-Pony-themed convention Trotcon that he was currently writing episodes for a new Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon under the name of “Sonic Boom“. For what it’s worth, Sonic Boom is even listed in his Featured Guests profile on the Trotcon website: Dave Polsky His credits range from features (Scary Movie, Scary Movie 2) to animation (South Park, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Sonic Boom, Class of 3000) to sitcoms (Pair of Kings) to late night (The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show) to daytime (The Donny and Marie Show) to sketch comedy (Frank TV, Cedric the Entertainer Presents). Add that to the fact that he got his start in game shows (Singled Out) and you have a textbook case of a) versatility or B) terrible career management… take your pick. Dave created and executive produced Disney’s The Buzz on Maggie, in addition to writing other pilots for Disney Channel, FOX, CBS, Castle Rock Entertainment, and Nickelodeon. Moments ago at his Trotcon Q&A Panel, Polsky revealed more information about “Sonic Boom” – we’re still waiting to see if our source can elaborate more, but early reports indicate that it is a “Pony-esque reboot of the cartoon series”. What, exactly, that means is currently a mystery – Sonic has had no shortage of cartoons over the years, and each one of them involves completely different settings and supporting characters. Any one of them could be rebooted, and it’s worth mentioning that one of Polsky’s contributions to MLP was, apparently, writing music for an episode, so not even Sonic Underground is out of the question at this time. Right now, you know about as much as we do. We’ll have more on this as it develops. UPDATE: Our source has offered more information now that the panel is over regarding “Sonic Boom”. All Polsky would say is that it involves Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy Rose, and would lean towards “comedic in style”, making it sound unconnected to any previous Sonic cartoon. Stay tuned!" http://www.tssznews.com/2013/06/15/sega-launching-new-sonic-boom-cartoon/ Source Opinions? -

Bryan Konietzko, one of th Co-Creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra, recently responded to a post on his tumblr page by an anonymous contributor who, (essentially) accused him of whitewashing his own production, because according to him... "None of Katara and Aangs kid share Katara's Complexion ;_;" Basically, Bryan struck back at the Anonymous with a wall of text, explaining his opinions on Racebending/Whitewashing of characters of color (both his own and others), his frustrations with certain aspects of the Airbender and Legend of Korra fanbase, fanart, and why he feels it is important to portray characters of color on television.
