  1. Yesterday it was announced that Marvel's Runaways comics would be getting a TV series on Hulu by the showrunners of Gossip Girl and The O.C. Info from Wiki "the series featured a group of six kids whose parents routinely met every year for a charity event. One year, the kids spy on their parents and learn they are "the Pride", a criminal group of mob bosses, time-travelers, dark wizards, mad scientists, alien invaders and telepathic mutants. The kids steal weapons and resources from their parents, and learn they themselves inherited their parents' powers" It's currently unknown if the show will maintain the original comics cast which consisted of From left to right: Molly Hayes, the daughter of telepathic mutants, is a mutant whose powers include super-strength and invulnerability. Alex Wilder, the son of mafia bosses, was a child prodigy at strategic thinking and planning. Nico Minori, the daughter of dark wizards, is a witch capable of manipulating magic. Chase Stein, the son of mad scientists, steals his father's flame generating/manipulating gauntlets called "the Fistigons" Karolina Dean, the daughter of alien invaders, is a solar-powered alien. Gertrude Yorkes, the daughter of time-traveling criminals and someone who isnt in the picture and may not even be in the show, Old Lace, a genetically engineered dinosaur from the 87th century, Gertrude's pet. Here's my Fancast. Molly - Play by Malina Weissman Alex Wilder- Played by Tyler James Williams Nico Minoru - Played by Malese Jow? Not a lot of young asian american actresses, i feel theres probably a better pick Chase Stein - Played by Jason Till Karolina Dean - Played by Ellen Fanning Gertrude - played by Mae Whitman
  2. We finally have the cast of the next series of Power Rangers: Power Rangers Ninja Steel and one announcement that will warm your heart and makes you catch the feels.
  3. Hey there everyone, how's it going!? So then, you know how lately, Marvel's been making shows for Netflix, such as Daredevil and Jessica Jones? Well, those two series were great, and if that wasn't enough for any of you, Marvel's delivering even more shows, such as Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders! Here's Luke Cage! For Luke Cage, this show looks like it's going to be really interesting! We were already introduced to him in Jessica Jones, and he seems like a very down to earth character, and he has a strong sense of justice! I'm psyched to see what a show focused on just him will focus on! Now Iron Fist! Even though I don't know much of this character, what I do know is that he's good friends with Luke Cage, and he's skilled in the martial arts, and well, I remember seeing him in the Ultimate Spider-Man show, and I always liked his personality and the way he spoke with such wisdom! Iron Fist is one of the Marvel heroes I've been dying to learn more about, so this is the one I'm looking forward to most out of the three! ^_^ And here's The Defenders! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBZtM8q2Z1g This show shall unite Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist as a team, similar to the Avengers, but smaller in scale! This team show sounds promising, and I hope it'll be awesome! But yeah, Marvel's really bringing their A game with their Cinematic Universe! Which of these three shows are you most excited for?
  4. Hey everyone, how's it going!? So then, as you all know, Comic Con is currently going on in San Diego, and well, there's been quite a lot of announcements and trailers popping around! One such trailer that my best friend/soul brother Jonathan linked me to was this beauty right here! That's right, baby! Ghost Rider is coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe! Like, good lord, I hyped up like crazy when I saw his face! Gahhh, this makes me so happy! I wonder how he'll fit into the MCU? I need to catch up to the show, I've only watched till Season 2! I gotta watch Season 3!
  5. Comic Con 2016 has started!!! Most of all, I'm excited to see the panels of my favourite TV series, especially the Flash Do you know how I can watch them online?
  6. I have never watched the show but for those who are fan of Samurai Jack here. I hope nobody else posted this before me
  7. One of the many things I appreciate about this show is its awesome references The most recent episode has one of the best. In this episodes Allen's dad was disguised as Walter white from Breaking bad, he even used the name Mr White. And in another more recent episode Gumball and Darwin turned into a clicker from the last of us. There are plenty more like Gumabll becoming a super saiyan and his dad doing a sailor moon transformation.
  8. ABC's The Family is a thriller series depicting the Warren family's reunion with long-lost son Adam, who had been presumed dead after disappearing ten years ago at the age of 8. His return results in the freedom of Hank Asher, registered sex offender who had been arrested and incarcerated for Adam's murder, as well as the reopening of the Adam Warren case ten years ago in an attempt to find his kidnapper. Meanwhile, fledging news reporter Bridey sneaks her way into the Warren's life in an attempt to write an article about Adam's return. Last Thursday, The Family was cancelled by ABC. Its season (now series) finale aired last Sunday, in which several threads were left unanswered. SPOILERS IN QUOTE. HIGHLIGHT IF YOU WANT TO SEE. You see the problem? How can the Family fandom move on when there's still so much of the story left to be told? Think of how you'd feel if KH III was suddenly canceled, and we'd never get to see Roxas, Xion, Naminé finally live the lives they deserve to have? Ventus forever stuck in his coma, Aqua in the Realm of Darkness, and Terra's fate forever a mystery? More importantly, if we never got the chance to visit all these new worlds and finally kick the crap out of Xehanort once and for all? Think about Young Justice, which never got the third season it deserved. Think about Kim Possible, which was saved from cancellation. Wouldn't it be great to save another show like that? There's a petition online for the Family to be picked up for a second season. If you could sign it, here is the link: https://www.change.org/p/abc-the-family-needs-a-season-2?recruiter=40731025&utm_source=petitions_show_components_action_panel_wrapper&utm_medium=copylink Please, my fellow KH fans, please help us Family fans out. It'd be greatly appreciated!
  9. Good God, the nostalgia is real!!! :') Thank the lord for Kisscartoon, where all 6 seasons of this show are available! Gahh, my childhood! :'D
  10. So I watched Gravity Falls recently and I loved it. I wanted to just gush about why but this guy sums it up pretty well. I didn't think id like a Disney tv this much. Its a must watch in my opinion https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWjFEMnV_tw
  11. Never thought I'd make a thread like this before, but hey, why not? I don't really talk about cartoons all that often on the forums anyway. Anyways: I started watching the new PPG cartoon this week. I've seen the three mini-shorts, the first episode that aired on CN on Monday, and the one 15 minute segment that aired yesterday. I say that because I know there was a pilot leaked online for an episode called "Man Up" which I have not seen and won't see until it officially airs this Friday. As for what I've seen so far: I actually really enjoyed it. Is it exactly like the old cartoon? Yes and no. Is that a bad thing? Absolutely not. I mean, the former should be pretty obvious to be honest. This is a reboot after all, and wasn't/isn't marketed directly towards hardcore fans of the original cartoon. It's for casual and/or potential new fans of the series as well, but at the same time still shares the same aesthetics and core structure that the original possessed. The humor I will admit is mostly different and is catered towards a more modern audience, but that's okay because I still found it be clever, properly set up, and overall humorous, while still carrying the same spirit that the humor of the original. The main three girls are all pretty much the same too, only slightly modified in certain behaviors due to now being slightly older and being in elementary school instead of just kindergarten, which is understandable. You seeing a pattern yet? Overall, the show is different, but in a good way. Unlike something akin to Teen Titans Go!, the show acknowledges that it has an older fanbase as well as people who have never seen the original and appeals to both while at the same time giving respect to where it came from. And yes, it is in fact a million times better than TTG ... not that being better than TTG is a hart feat to accomplish, but still. One last side note that only really pertains to itself: the show has managed to do something that feels unnecessarily complicated to pull off, especially for a reboot, and that's incorporating a modern setting and doing it well, and by modern setting, I of course mean incorporating smart phones and computers and the like. I know there's a mentality present where incorporating modern elements such as those leaves a bad impression and just makes the show seem tacky or pandering, and I understand it, but believe it or not, it can be done right, and PPG'16 does it right. It doesn't emphasize the fact that the girls each have smart phones, the hotline phone is a smart phone now, or that Bubbles used a YouTube-esque site to start a beauty vlog at one point, it's just there. Which is fine because tech is just there in our lives as well and we don't call attention to it all the same. Again, this is a modern cartoon for a modern audience, and regardless about how you feel about it, we live in a society where technology is prominently used in everyday life. There's nothing being taken away from the core aspects of the show, it's just set in an appropriate time setting and reflects the trends of the time without using it as a crutch to appeal to its audience by having the girls constantly talking selfies or using "duck lips". I've pretty much got my points across. So if you have any thoughts about the new cartoon, please leave your thoughts below.
  12. Do you guys watch the Flash? It has become one of my favourite TV series ever!! There is something troubling me, though. Who do you think is under the iron mask? The real Jay Garrick? Wally's doppleganger? Also, in the season 1 finale Eddie's body gets dragged by the wormhole. Could this have any connection with everything that's happening in season 2?
  13. who thinks adult swim will show more samurai jack at this year's comic con
  14. Only 5 more hours until it's available to stream on Netflix. The wait is killing me. Countdown: https://days.to/until/daredevil-season-2
  15. Your Thoughts? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHzpADhC4EM Kamen Rider just got really dark....lmfao
  16. I've had memories pop up about a show I used to watch as a kid, and I can't remember the title for the life of me. It's about these monster (kids?) that live with their mother. I remember one of them had a large nose, and another could take his head off. Another one could fly, and there was one that was obsessed with ballet or something... Does anyone remember a show like that, or am I dreaming the whole thing up?
  17. There's a TV series based on Big Hero 6 planned for 2017 http://di.sn/6188BdmiI I figured this was relevant since San Fransokyo is confirmed for KH3 and everyone expects to see the game that same year. It's a sequel that picks up where the movie left off, much like the plot of the world in KH3. I don't expect Sora to appear so I'm looking forward to seeing how events unfold without the interference of Sora, Xehanort and the Heartless. On a semi-related note, there are also plans for a Tangled sequel series airing that same year. It takes place between Tangled and Tangled: Ever After.
  18. does anybody beside me think that sym-bionic titan will be on netflix.
  19. How's everyone doing today? Since the reveal of the Big Hero 6 TV series hitting our TV screens on Disney X-D sometime in 2017, I have begun to wonder whether the TV series will involve the plot of Kingdom Hearts III in any way. Since the TV series and the game will both be taking place after the events of the film do you think they may incorporate what is happening in the TV series with the events of Kingdom Hearts III? Do you believe they will both have completely different stories; or that Kingdom Hearts III may even be out before the start of the TV show? Another viable option is that the series may have ended by the time the game releases so will Kingdom Hearts III then be a sequel to the show, or perhaps extend the TV shows plot further to give premise for a second series? If Disney does make a sequel to Big Hero 6 could they incorporate what happens in Kingdom Hearts III and make it cannon in the next film? Or even a small mention of Sora in the sequel would be cool! I am very excited for Big Hero 6's TV series as it is one of my favourite and in my opinion, the coolest Disney film of all time. I'm interested to get your thoughts and speculation on this since Big Hero 6 was one of the most requested films to be in the game. I can't wait to see how Big Hero 6's plot continues due to the TV series and Kingdom Hearts III! I'm so excited!
  20. Don't know if there are any twin peaks fans here but the cult hit horror show from the 80's is making a surprise return in 2016-17, most of the original cast are coming back. Interestingly in the shows conclusion, a spirit in his mind said she would see him again in 25 years so it could have been in director david lynch's mind to continue the show 25 years later.
  21. I actually have a couple of theories for where The Lion Guard and its members were during the later part of Simba's Pride 1) Quite simply they were off on another mission, which is not far fetch'd if you think about it. I mean, its like the Avengers, of which this show is partly inspired by: If the Avengers were responsible for helping out EVERY "big problem", then what would be the point of every other superhero existing in Marvel like the X-men, Spider-Man, SHIELD itself etc.? They specifically can't always help out EVERY problem of course. Besides, the Pride Lands and Africa itself is a HUGE place so they could have just been busy with something else. 2) Possibly, because of 3) Very possibly, like with , Kion went off to form his own Pride, or even Lion Guard somewhere else outside the Pride Lands. Like I said, Africa is a huge continent after all, and the series is said to be set in Kenya, so Kion and the Lion Guard could have moved to another part of Africa. There is also a chance that As you can see, its pretty much common sense as to how it can still tie into the series. They were able to make , so they could find a way to make it work here. As , it is likely that they will find a way to tie it all in together, perhaps by the series finale if nothing else.
  22. Article Yes, coming to Cartoon Network in the near future is a brand new quarter-hour cartoon series based on DC's comic book heroes: "Justice League Action", which is all about the action apparently. Makes sense given the title. The series will feature the return of Kevin Conroy playing the role of Batman, famous for portraying the Dark Knight in the Batman: Arkham games, joined by fellow Arkham co-star Mark Hamill as the Joker. There will be other appearances by favorite DC Animated voice actors including, you guessed it, James Woods as Lex Luthor. Sam Register, from "Teen Titans Go!" is on board as executive producer, and is joined by producers from such shows like the original "Justice League" cartoon, "Batman: The Animated Series", "Batman Beyond", and "Green Lantern: The Animated Series". Now, if I can switch over from "News Reporting Firaga" to "Normal Firaga": I'd just like to clarify that if this turns out to be even slightly similar to "Teen Titans Go!", I'm going to nuke a kindergarten. Okaaaay, so I'm exaggerating. Nevertheless, there's still the overhanging fear of "Go!" considering that one of the producers is in fact from that same show. But in that same regard, it's balanced out from the inclusion of producers from good DC cartoons, so there's that. Either way, if DC is promoting a show that focuses on "action", which to me translates to "the writers, unlike the ones for 'Go!', are actually going to try and do a good job", then I'm all for it. Just please don't go the route of Young Justice and get canceled too early and allow the Reign of "Go!" to continue on.
