Hey y'all, New to KH13. In no way new to the franchise though! But anyways, I run a very small scale Youtube page just for fun (http://www.youtube.com/c/damnedsam - would love some feedback if you deem it fit) and sometime over the next couple weeks (I upload biweekly due to working full-time), I am planning on filming and ergo planning to put out a video discussing my top 5 picks for voice actors to take over for the late (great) Leonard Nimoy as Master Xehanort. Now, I know this has been a topic before rehashed on multiple occasions, but as we finally have a release YEAR, I thought I would ask again.....And I would love some input! My 5 picks have stars next to them (5* being my top pick). Feel free to add in any thoughts or suggestions that I didn't already previously have. Obviously, the other choice is that they could just be boring (in my opinion) and just go with Ben Diskin as Young Xehanort or make the character a mute...But for a character with such a voice and presence, I think that would be a real shame....Anyways, cheers!!

The 13th Vessel has uncovered some interesting assets from Kingdom Hearts III while data mining it with other people. Below are some of our favorite picks! Assets from Scala ad Caelum included buildings and building parts, the coat of arms with the Master of Masters' Keyblade, a model of the "cable car", and a set of 15 books (numbered with an original numerals design) plus 5 others. A font texture from Daybreak Town was also found. It is interesting that Daybreak Town assets are included within Scala ad Caelum, as the castle from Daybreak Town is featured in the underwater sequence in Scala ad Caelum and the two worlds are somehow "connected" (as hinted by Kingdom Hearts series director Tetsuya Nomura). The posters that you can find around the world were also extracted, and some of them you can see in vivid detail. Written using an original alphabet, some of them also feature numbers that can be identified using the numeral system shown in the book set mentioned above. Amongst these posters, there is one featuring a black cat with a red ribbon, some regarding musical performances, and some featuring products such as shoes, flowers, restaurant dishes, maintenance tools, cow milk, a blueberry pie, a sewing machine, and a chair. It is interesting, to say the least! The 13th vessel has commented that while the Chess Room assets are also there, the textures of the models that belong to that room look "weird", that there is some type of door and a lot of interesting little models. He will attempt to enter the room once he acquires more data. The Verum Rex posters from Toy Box, along with the actual front and back of the game packaging, was also extracted. A deluxe edition of the game and a strategy guide are also available. "That's the story of the King of Truth", it says on the back, probably referring to Yozora, the game's main character. Can you read the rest of the text? Assets from The Mysterious Tower include the interior, a whiteboard with scribbles, the pages of a book, and content used in the maps that are inside the game. The 13th Vessel has also provided us with some assets from Disney Castle as it appears in Kingdom Hearts III (when Chip and Dale call Sora on the Gummiphone). Other locations such as Radiant Garden, Remy's restaurant, and Namine's room were also explored, and a model of apprentice Xehanort found. You can find the complete album of images below! It is worth noting that the data to be data mined is not complete and that more assets could soon be uncovered. For updates on The 13th Vessel's data mining projects, you can follow him on Twitter or visit his YouTube channel, where he also posts videos exploring the Kingdom Hearts games out-of-bounds. UPDATE [September 15, 2019] Some more KH3 assets have been datamined thanks to the efforts of The 13th Vessel, SpookyMajora and daemon1 from XeNTaX. First, we have the infamous chess room. It is quite surreal to see that room in such detail. Next, it seems that Nomura signed Baymax's update chip, judging from these zoom-ins. Apparently all of the 0.2 customization models are in the game which isn't too surprising considering that 0.2 was initially meant to be a prologue to KH3. So they're most likely just leftover assets. The 13th Vessel showed off these four. The skyboxes of several of the worlds were found, and they're truly beautiful. An odd texture from Scala ad Caelum labelled to a 'speaker' in KH3's game files has been datamined too. Lastly, we have a strange photo that was found in KH3's game files. Many are saying that it is a photo from inside one of Square Enix's business buildings. We also have a blurry shot of Daybreak Town with a strange blue artifact. According to Twitter user Keytotruth, who is another individual helping out with efforts such as these, it seems to be an HDR image used for testing image based lighting. Either way, it's quite an interesting find! Speaking of Keytotruth, he has shown off a couple of the Stations of Awakening in closer detail. First of which being the Station containing the Foreteller masks, and Sora's Station. The sheer amount of effort these individuals have gone through to comb KH3's files is commendable and I applaud them for it. Which asset do you find the most intriguing? For further updates on KH3's assets, be sure to follow Keytotruth, and The 13th Vessel. The 13th Vessel also posts out-of-bounds exploration videos of KH3's various worlds which I'm sure would compel most of you to check them out! [UPDATE [September 23, 2019] Even more assets have been found thanks to 13th Vessel. There are quite a variety of interesting assets to comb through here. One of the most intriguing ones is this magic circle which is either used during Donald's Zettflare, or during the final fight in Scala ad Caelum. This Monsters, Inc. keycard is also interesting since there is a fair amount of detail on it, such as the smudged print all over it, alongside the text. This seems like a map of sorts, so it could have possibly been used in the Port Royal world. This seems to either be a template, or earlier build of the Gummiphone. Either way, seeing that phone icon there is rather odd. One of the last truly enticing assets to me are these cards which are used during the Luxord fight. Seeing them in more detail is quite exciting. There were also other assets found which you can check out by visiting the "KH3 Ingame Assets" gallery album, here! Once again, thanks to 13th Vessel for these finds. You can follow him on twitter here. Which of these newly found assets do you find the most intriguing?

Who is your favorite "big bad" villain from the Kingdom Hearts series?

Hello there. First time here in the forums, I just thought of this and I thought this could be interesting for discussion. Enjoy ~ PD: this is a semi-translation from my tweet posts about this matter, as I am spanish, so please take that into consideration if you see any error or mispellings. As you probably have seen by now, it seems that Aqua has gone through some changes, and of course we fans of Kingdom Hearts have inmediatley thought that this means that now Aqua is now one of the Thirteen Darknesses that Xehanort will use in KH3. And it doesn't make any sense. Think about it, KH 0.2 ended literally stating how she wanted to be the light in the midst of shadows, how she wanted to be there for those that may fall into darkness. And now she 's just a vessel? Weird. And then I saw this: https://twitter.com/AmaziahYT/status/1006261973527547905 . According to this information from an IGN interview (yes, I know IGN is not exactly the best source of info for KH, but bear with me) to an actual Square Enix employee, it seems that whatever happened to Aqua has nothing to do with Xehanort, but with the Realm of Darkness itself. And you'll say: that's impossible, she has the yellow eyes and even the hair is turning gray! I began to think about what kind of connection this could have if it was true. And then a friend called me saying she was about to finish KH 0.2 and had som doubts with what she had saw on E3: How were Riku and Mickey supposed to enter the Realm of Darkness if the Door to Darkness was closed and it would not let them pass. I asked what she was talking about, and suddenly I remembered this: One person cannot enter, or either exit to one Realm to another if it or she has Light in his or her heart. I guess you can begin to see where I am getting at. But there's more: "Even if she was to succumb to darkness in order to travel freely through the RoD and the RoL, how explains the orange eyes, the darkened skin and the gray hair?" And as a famous meme would say, I'm gonna call a friend that knows one or two things about darkness, the Realm of Darkness, the Organization XIII, Xehanort itself, and darkened skin, orange eyes and maybe even grayhair. Yep, my friend is no other than Ansem the Wise, also known in it's "Dark Form" as DiZ (Darkness in Zero). When Ansem was banished to the Realm of Darkness, he survived by learning how to use the darkness and control it. Not by succumbing to it, but by using it in it's favour (Ansem Report Nº6 KH2). That way, he could hide from the Organization, travel in and out freely through the Realm of Darkness and Light, and also acquire a new "form" that consisted of a version of himself with darker skin, more clear orange eyes (he already had some orangy-red eyes, but you can see it becomes near xehanort type) and as he is wearing his bandages around his head, it's kinda impossible to know if he also has gray hair on this form. And now the two magical questions: A) Why is sh mad or surprised by Mickey's pressence. B) Why didn't she left the RoD then? Answer to A) Video editing is a key point here, as the situation tries to point that Aqua is a bad girl now, but of it this way: Riku and Mickey are in the black beach. Whatever attacks them prisons Mickey in that red swirl and breaks Riku's keyblade. Aqua appears from the Darkness, destroys whatever was attacking them, and then realizes he is Mickey. Answer to B) Aqua herself can explain this better than I do. And... that's it. What do you think?

You might remember that back in the Ultimania for Dream Drop Distance, Masashi Nakamichi the Sub-Lead Programmer for the game, revealed a fun secret about how one of the cutscenes was made. This is what he said back in 2012: Thanks to long time Kingdom Hearts fan and dataminer, 13th Vessel, we can now see what Nakamichi was talking about! Check it out the video below. (Make sure you watch till the very end!) In order to have the first person angle for Xehanort within the cutscene, the developers had to edit his body proportions and move the camera around, resulting in him having a tiny head! Similar tricks were previously found in Kingdom Hearts II by Boundary Break, revealing scenes where models were messed around with to achieve certain angles in cutscenes. 13th Vessel has contribute to a number of discoveries within the code in the Kingdom Hearts games, including the deleted world of Monsters, Inc. in Kingdom Hearts II and assets from Kingdom Hearts 2.8. Check out his YouTube channel for more interesting discoveries (and clips of him playing around the worlds on Kingdom Hearts games!) What hidden camera tricks have you seen in Kingdom Hearts? Let us know in the comments below!

As we all know so far, the members of the true organization are: Xehanort Ansem seeker of darkness. Xemnas. Young xehanort. Marluxia. Vanitas. Larxene. Xigbar. Vexen. Demyx. Luxord. Data Riku or repliku. And Xion. So, I believe that there is at least 1 person that will change sides, obviously the majority wants it to be Xion, but I believe that she is a 2.0 version of Xion created by vexen, with no emotions, so she is out of the picture, The person I believe that will change sides and help Sora is non other than Young xehanort, from the last trailer, we saw that he gives him advice on who to go after by telling him "find the hearts joined to yours" and warning him that his rash way of using his power will be his Downfall, further more in the opening cinematic we see a slightly younger version of him with dark gray eyes watching over a purple Myst that resembles Darkness, indicating that he had been possessed by it, I don't really know how he will change his course of actions, but my gut tells me that he will be the one to change sides. If anyone has an other person in mind comment here and let's discuss ?

Earlier today, a number of Kingdom Hearts III screenshots were released via the Square Enix Press Center. Their Japanese counterparts featured subtitles in the Japanese language, which we have translated and compiled here for your viewing pleasure! These translations provide us with a small glimpse of certain plot elements in Kingdom Hearts III, such as: Yen Sid talks about perfecting the power of awakening. With Sora and Riku in their new outfits, Yen Sid instructs Sora to continue to get his power back, and Riku and the King to continue their search for Aqua. Someone wants to talk about "the book", so they're drinking tea while waiting for Sora. Chip and Dale forgot to mention the location of a certain place to Sora when they called him. Lea talks to Kairi about a friend he met only once a long time ago; he said this friend was strange. Marluxia is referencing something that may cloud "their" pure light, possibly talking about the Seven Princesses. Ienzo mentions that his intentions - possibly in helping Sora bring Roxas back - are simply academic. However, the language he uses is soft and friendly - this could imply that he does not really mean it, and he might be helping Sora for more positive and friendlier reasons. Interestingly, Ienzo adds he is researching the heart just like when he did when he "was" a human (and not a Nobody); he seems to imply that he still is a Nobody, but he might simply be referring to his time as Ansem's Apprentice before turning into a Nobody. From a Famitsu interview with Tetsuya Nomura, we know that this Ienzo is "human". Xehanort mentions opening the "lock" to the Keyblade War. (Note: The Japanese word for "lock" is the same as for "key".) You can read the translations below. Translations have been provided by KH13 Staff Mio-chan, NihonScribe, and Solis; edits are courtesy of KH13 Discord Staff HaakonHawk. Please note that the original Japanese text was translated as literally as possible by our staff. Yen Sid: “You must at least perfect the power of awakening.” Yen Sid: "The Organization seems to seek those who inherited the pure lights, which is to say, the New Seven Hearts." Yen Sid: "On this, Sora must continue to get his powers back; as for Riku and the King, continue to focus your search on Aqua." Chip/Dale: “Yeah, they said that they need to have a talk about the book, so they’re waiting for you while drinking some tea.” Dale: "Anyway, message delivered, see ya." Chip: "Uh- that reminds me, we didn't mention the location did we-" Olaf: "I really want to meet Elsa soon. She seems like a very kind, compassionate, and overall good person." Anna: "You know my sister?" Anna: "Stop it, put us down now!" Anna: "Leave that snowman alone." Larxene: "I told you before, it's the New Seven Hearts." Lea: "A long time ago, there was a friend I only met once... he was kind of a weird guy." Marluxia: "That may cloud their pure light." Ienzo: "I'm just a student simply trying to decipher the mysteries of the heart, just like [I did] when I was human." (Note: He uses a soft and friendly language, indicating that he might actually be helping Sora for a more positive and friendlier reason.) Master Xehanort: "We will open the lock to the Keyblade War." You can view and read about all the screenshots and renders released today in high definition here! View full article

This theory was intended to dive into the details of what makes Xehanort, Xehanort! Most specifically discussing how he obtained his NORTorious yellow eyes! Let me know what you think about my ideas and speculation? Do you think that these trips in The Lanes Between without keyblade armor left Xehanort open to corruption of the dark? Could he have possibly killed his own Master?

Now that we've had ample time to register the godly juicyness that was the new KHIII trailer, there's something I gotta point out. After watching the trailer again and again and again (still not tired of wathcing it, btw), and listening to his voice, there's a few things I gotta ask... 1. Do my ears deceive me... or did Master Xehanort's voice sound an AWFUL LOT like Chikao Otsuka? 2. If the above is true, and that is Chikao Otsuka, does that mean he recorded his lines before his passing? 3. If the above statement is ALSO true... does that mean there's a chance Leonard Nimoy recorded his lines before his passing as well?

Here we will be discussing a topic that I believe is very likely to happen in Kingdom Hearts 3, Riku's Death... Riku's purpose in Kingdom Hearts 3 is a huge topic of discussion amongst the Kingdom Hearts Community, his impending future makes many of us wonder what is his purpose, what is his destiny? Could it be as a sacrifice to further to plot of the largest entry in the Series? Try not to cry  Thank you so much, I hope you enjoy - Volt
