  1. Those who are interested in joining this RP must do so here. Some background: The Destiny Islands, a small chain of islands off the coast of Twilight Town, currently is in an odd position; It exists in both the realm of light and darkness simultaneously. Perhaps this is why a huge influx of Keyblade wielders have appeared in all realms. The balance is quickly shifting, and wielders of the Keyblades of Darkness must quickly arise to prevent light from taking over entirely. Unfortunately, the struggle is tearing the worlds apart, and Wielders from the sleeping realms rise up to stop them. It's time to pick a side. Rules: Don't be edgy. It's just annoying. Be nice! Don't go out of context in the RP thread. Use this one! Be very descriptive of your character. Include at least their name, Keyblade(Picture is optional), appearance(Picture is Optional), and personality. No godmodding. This just ruins it. Any Disney world from Kh1-3 is allowed, and you can request another world here. Midgar is included, but please refrain from using it until 1 month after FFVIIR. Thank you!
  2. A new video has been uploaded on the late XXXTENTACION's YouTube channel featuring "Nocturne", a track composed by Kingdom Hearts composer Yoko Shimomura in memory of the late musician Jahseh Onfroy, who was a big fan of Kingdom Hearts. Here, Shimomura is seen playing the piano for the track; at the end of the video, Yoko responds to an question on why she decided to name the track "Nocturne", while a video of Onfroy listening to her music on repeat on a boat plays in the background. The video also features tweets that Onfroy had made about his love for Kingdom Hearts. "Nocturne" is featured on the Deluxe edition of XXXTentacion's second studio album "?", which released today. Shimomura said on Twitter that she composed the track while thinking about what Onfroy was thinking in the very last moments before his death, and that she would be happy if fans would listen to it. She also wrote that Onfroy loved her music so much that he listened to her songs before going to bed every night. She added that when she was shown the video of Onfroy on the boat listening to Kingdom Hearts music (more specifically, the track "Vector to the Heavens" from Shimomura's album "memória!"), it brought her to tears. You can watch the video and listen to "Nocturne" below. The description of the video is as follows. Translations for this article were provided by KH13 Staff @Mio-chan.
  3. On and off for the past couple of months, I've been translating Kingdom Hearts mechanics into a tabletop setting, with a couple of friends suggesting ideas here and there. If I had to put a percentage of completion, I would say it's about 85%. I'm gonna need some help if I want to actually see this through. People wanting to contribute should only be looking for four experiences. A. Bestiary entries, made from a predetermined list of "tiers". B. Establishing Synthesis Recipes in the vein of KH1 and KH2, and assigning item drops towards completed bestiary entries. C. Translating information into Rulebook entries that are easy to read and understand. D. Playtesting and offering balance changes towards the players and enemies. This is a labor of love and a project that I wanted to see if I can do. But I've clearly underestimated my time-balance for this summer. I very much think this won't get published, due to the nature of copyright. More of a roleplay system that fans of Kingdom Hearts can use and run games with. You can PM me on Discord (@Starlight#3892) if you are interested, or reply to this thread (or DM here? I guess?) with your information. I appreciate your time, no matter what.

  6. In commemoration of Mickey Mouse's 90th anniversary and the release of Kingdom Hearts III, the annual fan-hosted event, "PROJECT: Magic Kingdom Hearts", is returning on September 20th, 2019 at Disney World in Orlando, Florida! This impressive fan movement was founded by a fan known as Cutsceneaddict in 2012 when they discovered the lack of Kingdom Hearts representation in the Disney theme parks. This led to a gradual growth of fans coalescing to meet like-minded individuals, and to have Disney realize the yearning for more Kingdom Hearts representation and acknowledgment. In fact, speaking of growth, over 225 cosplayers are planning to attend this upcoming event! The original project founder, Cutsceneaddict is also managing the event after a 4-year hiatus. Several events made for attendee engagement will be happening such as a giveaway for Kingdom Hearts Funko Mini Figures, a record-breaking photoshoot, a special guest meet-and-greet with the project's founders, and a scavenger hunt with enticing prizes like a Riku Nendoroid. Additionally, every person who participates in the event receives a commemorative event wristband and a Seasalt Icecream Lollipop courtesy of Sweets and Geeks! "PROJECT: Magic Kingdom Hearts" has also gone on to inspire the creation of a similar event in Disneyland, California hosted by The Keybearers Alliance. The impact of these events has risen in magnitude so much so to the point where Kingdom Hearts series voice actors and Square Enix staff support and join in on the accommodations. “This is a climatic year for the Kingdom Hearts series,” Cutsceneaddict stated, “because the release of Kingdom Hearts III marks the peak of the franchise’s popularity. Many fans have anticipated this finale for over half their lives, and Disney is beginning to showcase more of the Kingdom Hearts series, such as the limited-edition Kingdom Hearts Pop-Up Experience at Disney Springs. The mission of this project has always been connection—to connect fans across the globe, and to connect these two Kingdoms [Kingdom Hearts and the Magic Kingdom] together. The revival of “PROJECT: Magic Kingdom Hearts” in 2019 is a culmination of all these aspects, which is why we’re calling this year’s event the ‘Final Mix.’ It will truly be an experience no fan will want to miss.” You can find more info on "PROJECT: Magic Kingdom Hearts" and register for it here.
