  4. GFK Chart-Track has released their sales info for the week ending on December 6, 2014 in the United Kingdom, and with this we now have our first indication of how the English release of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX is selling. HD 2.5 ReMIX came in at 3rd place on the list of the top selling full-price PlayStation 3 titles for the week, and 28th or 31st for all platforms overall, depending on whether you look at the full-price or all-inclusive charts. It is worth noting that these charts typically don't track sales directly from the publisher, so all sales of the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX Collector's Edition would not have been taken into account.

  6. With less than 1 day remaining until Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX releases in Japan, some people are beginning to get their hands on the game. One user on a Japanese message board, who posted this image of the game as verification (also shown below), has begun to share some very small details concerning new content in the HD collection. Translations/interpretations are thanks to KH13 user SkyKeybladeHero: This is interesting, because in Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX, the credits contained scenes from Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Birth by Sleep, and Re:coded-- which, of course, were a big hint towards the games that were included in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX. Could these scenes be hinting at a HD remaster for Kingdom Hearts 3D? Update: We originally had spoiler warnings in this article, but we have decided to not consider the game credits to be a spoiler, anymore (since this news is likely going to appear everywhere over the next few months, and be unavoidable). Sorry for any inconvenience! Update 2: YouTube user なかじまちゃんねる 2nd has uploaded the credits in 1080p. The credits recap Kingdom Hearts 3D and show a short clip from Kingdom Hearts III's announcement trailer. You can view it below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oy4ek2WEDEc

  16. At the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX North American launch event at the Walt Disney Studio Lot in Burbank, California, Square Enix has shown new Kingdom Hearts III footage and revealed that they will release new information in 2015. The new footage showed concept art, new Heartless designs, a huge town titled Cable Town with Sora in a library/study room and new gun Keyblade attacks for Sora. Sora was shown in various Kingdom Hearts II outfits including Valor and Wisdom form. To expand on the gun Keyblade attacks, Sora's Keyblade transforms into dual guns and then transforms into a cannon. Chi was also written on a blackboard in the study room, this may be related to Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] but this is simply speculation. Thanks go to @churroz for the information. Update: Siliconera has posted their impressions of the footage. They reveal that Yoko Shimomura, composer of the Kingdom Hearts series was also at the event and performed a couple of the series' most famous songs. They have also included what Heartless they believe were shown. You can read them below. Update 2: Square Enix has told those who attended the event that the footage was only intended for those who attended the North American and European launch events and that more information will be revealed in 2015. This is likely due to the footage still being quite raw. Thanks go to @churroz for the tip.

  18. Okay, lets start with Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. So far, I've only seen the opening to this game, but it was beautiful! The music, the characters, and the CG get me just as excited now as they did back in 2006. The very first scene after the opening lets you feel the games age a little, but I feel like all the others so far look good enough to have been a PS3 game to begin with. The graphics are everything you could hope for of an HD remaster of a PS2 game in my opinion. The character models look very detailed with lots of facial expression that wasn't there before. The voice acting was really clear and crisp so far. This game does amazingly as an HD remaster. I think it's safe to say that the put the most effort into this title. That's really all I can say until I actually get into some gameplay. Now for Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix. I've played about 6 hours of this so far. The opening CG scene was very clear on the big screen with crisp music. I saw a huge difference in the character models. In my opinion, Ven and Aqua looked the most polished. The opening segments of gameplay showed me that the camera had massive improvements from the original game. I chose to start with Terra because I believe the game is best played in the order of Terra, Ven, and Aqua. The Disney environments don't look quite as polished as the Land of Departure's in my opinion, but still look great nonetheless. The voice acting is crisp and really fits into the remaster nicely. I haven't heard any remastered music yet, but there is some towards the end. No glitches yet, the game is perfectly stable from what I can see so far. The loading times have been amazing. It's only took about 3-5 seconds to load a room. I truly believe that if you told me this game was originally a PS3 game and I had no way of proving you wrong, I'd believe it. Anyway, I haven't watched Re:coded yet, but I'll probably do so later tonight.
