  5. Seth Kearsley, the director and writer of the scrapped animated series for Kingdom Hearts posted an image of a tape with footage from the show. You can find an image of the tape below: Seth then went on to speak with Twitter user @SHIELD_DRAWS, who asked several questions about the scrapped series as well as the possibility of an animated series tie-in with Kingdom Hearts III, referencing the Brotherhood anime that was produced for Final Fantasy XV. Seth went on to explain that all characters were voiced by their original voice actors and had completed recording with the exception of Sora, who was to be voiced by a sound-alike for Haley Joel Osment. Seth also answered that he has talked with Walt Disney Animation Studios about the possibility of another project, but that there doesn't seem to be much interest at the current time. Do you think there should be an animated series or any sort of other tie-in produced with Kingdom Hearts III? Let us know in the comments!

  9. At the PlayStation Meeting on September 7th, Sony announced an enhanced version of their PlayStation 4 console, the PlayStation 4 Pro. This new console is incredibly powerful compared to its predecessor, demonstrating the capability to render upcoming games in 4K resolution. Other improvements were also shown. For those without a 4K television or monitor, some developers are implementing an alternate mode for their games, allowing them to be rendered at 1080p with a significantly improved framerate. Additionally, some previously released games may also be patched to offer improved performance on the PlayStation 4 Pro. While it is not confirmed that Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue or Kingdom Hearts III would benefit from the new hardware in terms of either resolution or framerate, Sony had this to say about the new features: "Following PS4 Pro's launch on November 10 in North America, virtually all new PS4 game releases moving forward will be able to take advantage of PS4 Pro capabilities on day one, or in some cases shortly after launch via a downloadable update." Sony notes that while most games will certainly utilize this new hardware after the launch date, there is the slight possibility that some games, possibly including the upcoming Kingdom Hearts releases, might not take advantage of it. However, since Final Fantasy XV was also shown briefly at this event, chances are high that Square Enix will fully utilize the improvements that the PlayStation 4 Pro offers. The PlayStation 4 Pro launches in North America on November 10th, 2016. Do you think we will see enhanced performance in games such as Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue and Kingdom Hearts III? Let us know in the comments!

  11. Okay so crazy idea what if Vanitas is going to be one of the vessels for the thirteen hearts of darkness now here is why I say this in KH 2.8's trailer we see the Ventus/Vanitas go in to one of the seats plus every one has wondered why we saw Vanitas behind young Xehanort but he could already be a part of them and he was just in hinding reforming this could explain the lingering spirt of Vanitas and this is either a back up plan made by Xehanort or Vanitas now this is just a theory but I believe Vanitas will come back very soon so please support or critize to your hearts content
  12. I'm one of THOSE people. Yeah, you know, the one that everyone hates and calls a pointless pessimist and hates your negativity, and your criticism, etc etc etc I just can't be optimistic for KH3. Am I excited for it? I suppose, but will I think it will be an incredible, mindblowing, "best KH game" yet? Absolutely not. I have my reasons for being pessimistic. Firstly is because I've always been sort of a pessimist; for example, I would expect an F on a test and get a C back and feel not as bad; opposedly, those who expect an A and get a C back feel awful. Secondly is because of the usual "Osaka Team" ramble, which I'm sure most people are aware by now. Even after seeing 0.2 gameplay, closer analyzing lead me to realize some very bad signs in the gameplay, which, if it carries over to KH3, can potentially...suck. Thirdly is because I think DDD ruined the story beyond repair, and not even KH3 will be able to fix it. Time Travel...what were you thinking Nomura? I hate when people go like "Oh wow, KH3 is going to be perfect just because it's KH3" because you don't know that. Using the fact that "it's KH3" to justify the game is good is ridiculous. This is also the crap that leads to massive, complete disappointment if the game comes out and it's glitchy, unbalanced, and sucks. Now can I justify that it will suck? No, I can't. However, I think it won't be as good as people say it will be. I also think it won't live up to its hype. Then, I get told, "if you aren't 'excited' for KH3, you're not a true KH fan." So why should I even bother being a fan then, if that requirement is needed to be a "true fan"? To absolutely love every game Square makes even if it is plagued with issues and glitchiness? I'm not optimistic about the game because of the signs Osaka Team has shown. I'm not going to be optimistic. So stop trying to make me an optimist, because I'm not. That doesn't mean I hate KH at all; it just means I want to see my favorite game series do better than it recently has. I fell in love with KH1 and KH2, but it's pretty much been downhill from there. So hopefully, you can see where my pessimism comes from. I get told after the 0.2 gameplay released, "Look at that! There's no way KH3 will suck now, the gameplay is incredible!" Once again, a completely blatant and ridiculous claim. A few minutes of 0.2 gameplay will show you nothing about the insight of KH3. It will not "prove" the game is good. People who say 0.2 gameplay is amazing is looking at the surface again. It's literally BBS all over again. People loved BBS at first, but recently, it's been getting a bit more attention to the issues it had. Why did people love BBS so much at first? Because it was flashy and fun to play around with the combat. It looked cool. It's the same thing with 0.2. The graphics are pretty incredible in comparison to the previous KH games. The spells and attacks all look super awesome, and even physical combos seem a bit better than the ones in BBS and DDD. That doesn't prove anything though. You might get a super overpowered attack that completely negates everything else you have in the game. There might be glitchiness, freezes, crashes. There might be horrible boss AI that is designed after horrible in-game mechanics. You don't know any of this yet, so assuming 0.2 proves KH3 will be incredible is such a ludicrous claim that I can't possible comprehend how these people are reasoning this behind their heads. So what if KH3 comes out inevitably, and it's an actual good game? People will probably yell at my face, tell me that "you were wrong and a dumbass for having low expectations." They can say what they want. I'll be stoked obviously; I still want KH3 to do well. That being said, if it does turn out to be a bad game, none of us are benefiting from this. However, I'll have this extra cushion that I've prepared in my mind, that tells me, you knew this was gonna happen. You shouldn't ever expect so much. KH3 is overhyped. People are in love with it even though we've seen little to nothing of it. I don't see much glimmer of hope. I have no reason to be optimistic. Insult me, call me names, exclude me, hate me; do whatever you want. However, you will never change my opinion on this subject, so stop trying.
  13. This is an idea I had for a KH3 Box art or Main menu. Keep in mind this is literally my concept drawn in paint in 5 minutes, I am just wondering if a good artist would create this drawing for me. Roast me if you want though.
  14. Namine and Roxas have referred to Kairi and Sora as themselves before ''Sora, will find the answer, after all, he's me'' - Roxas Namine apparently says something on the lines of that she will save Terra in the little hinty reenactment they had. It feels, to me, like a planned then scrapped scene, but the fact he decided to have the reenactment I think says he's trying to hint something. Since this scene supposedly takes place after DDD, Namine is one with Kai right now, so it makes sense that by herself she means her somebody. Now, add this together with the idea of Terra's heart/Part of Terra being inside Riku. Maybe Kairi's heart powers could come into play here. She gave Sora's heart a physical form, so maybe she could give Terra's _ one, therefore saving Terra, kinda, and norty still having a vessel. Yensid: Point your keyblade at Riku and focus Kairi: Eh but he mah buddy Yensid: Do it it's the only way Kairi: k *focuses* *gets tired as she doesn't know how to properly control them yet* Riku: ow Riku: *Glowies* Yensid: Now Kairi: *Kairi used pounce on glowie* *It's super effective* Terra: eyy i free but not really Mickey: u k kairi Kairi: I think..*passes out ontop terra* Hugging probably isn't a requirement*

  17. EDIT: This is an old post. There are things in this post that I no longer think or agree with. Read with a grain of salt. PLEASE READ THE WHOLE POST BEFORE COMMENTING Kingdom Hearts is my favorite series and I love many things about it. But, the only thing that actually aggravates me about this series is that death is meaningless. Whenever we kill a villain, they always come back by some bullshit method and whenever a good character dies, we get told that there's a way to bring them back. They act like a character dying is sad and they act like a character dying should make us sad or impact us in some way, but then just bring back the character/say the character can be brought back. This makes death absolutely meaningless and makes it so we feel no emotion when a character dies. Yes, we might feel a little emotion since we're seeing a character watch them die get sad and that rubs off on us, but we know that that character can easily come back so it's no where near as sad as it would be. Maleficent dies but comes back because the three fairies remembered her. Oogie Boogie dies but comes back because apparently Maleficent has the ability to bring people back from the dead. Ursula dies but comes back in some weird phantom form because apparently Xehanort has the ability to make that happen. Xion, Roxas, and Namine "die" but we get told that there's a way to bring them back. Eraqus dies but apparently his heart was able to take refuge within Terra. Xehanort, Lea, Isa, Braig, Dilan, Aeleus, Ienzo, and Even are all back because apparently your original self returns if your Heartless and Nobody are destroyed. Turns out Ansem the Wise didn't actually die, he just got sent to the Realm of Darkness for some reason somehow. Xemnas and Ansem Seeker of Darkness died but they're back because time travel. These are the most bullshit methods I've ever heard. Well, I guess the whole original person returning because Heartless/Nobody getting destroyed isn't that bad, but everything else I mentioned is complete bullshit. I remember playing Kingdom Hearts II when I was like 6 and getting very emotional when Roxas and Namine formed back with Sora and Kairi and I remember playing 358/2 Days when I was like 9 and getting very emotional when Xion died. But, it turns out none of that mattered. It turns out they can just come back. What was the point? What was the point of having those emotional scenes if they can just come back? These characters coming back completely destroys and gets rid of my sad emotions for these characters. It completely undermines the emotional experiences I had playing through those games for the first time. Dream Drop Distance completely destroyed the Kingdom Hearts plot in my opinion. Having Disney villains come back by bullshit means isn't that aggravating since they're considered pretty unimportant when compared to the main characters, but when Dream Drop Distance came along and told us that all these characters came back and told us that all these other characters *can* come back, I was speechless. How could they do this? How could they just completely make all these characters I loved's deaths just mean absolutely nothing when they meant so much to me and impacted me so much? Whenever I'd go replay the games and watch Roxas and Namine fuse back with Sora and Kairi or watch Xion die, I'd get emotional. But now, whenever I see those scenes, I feel nothing, because I know that any character can just come back. I've seen people asking "what would ruin KH3 for you?" People reply with things such as "if the gameplay plays like Birth by Sleep or Dream Drop Distance", "if the graphics are bad", "if the final boss is anticlimactic", and "if it turns out Xehanort isn't the true villain", but the only thing that could ruin Kingdom Hearts III for me is if Xion, Roxas, and Namine return. The only thing that could ruin Kingdom Hearts III for me is if they rip those emotional moments from my past right out of my memories. And the sad thing is is I know they are going to do that. Now don't get me wrong, Kingdom Hearts III looks fantastic. Gameplay looks like it might be the most fun I'll ever have playing a game, graphics look great, cutscenes look interesting and exciting, but man, having Xion, Roxas, and Namine return would really be a downer. It wouldn't completely ruin the game for me, but it would definitely leave a substantial bitter taste in my mouth. Am I the only one who feels this way? I can't be, right? I can think of a few other shows/games where a dead character returns and people are furious, so who else here feels the same way about KH? And I have a question for people who don't feel this way: "Why don't you feel this way?" Did you just not get emotional over their deaths to begin with so you won't care if they return? Sorry for the long post. It's just, I haven't seen anyone else feel this way (I've actually only seen people feel the opposite way), so I had to vent and get this out of my system. Please, Square Enix, let Roxas, Namine, and Xion rest in peace.
  18. Kingdom Hearts series director Tetsuya Nomura recently sat down with Famitsu to give an interview on Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, focusing on specific details in each of the three portions of the collection. Though the interview covered many of the same topics as the earlier Dengeki interview, Famitsu's team managed to pose some interesting questions, and received equally interesting responses. Here is a summary of each of Nomura's responses in the interview. A full translation will be added as soon as possible. In regards to Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep 0.2 -A Fragmentary Passage-: Nomura remarked on the ability for the product to be easily altered with Unreal Engine 4, especially in regards to lighting, as previously mentioned in Dengeki. What is in the demo will be in the retail version of the game. He wanted to give the players something to explore in the demo, someplace where they would have to get up high to get a lay of the land before proceeding. Nomura says KH3 will have a similar feel, where free-running to a high place and scoping out the map will be necessary. Nomura states that time has stopped in this place only, and that moving to different locations will result in different 'effects'. As in the Dengeki article, Nomura explains the battle system, and also says that the concept of Command Styles has been transferred to Keyblade Transformations in Kingdom Hearts III. Nomura calls the Heartless Swarm a 'Devils Wave', mentions they've been present since the first KH3 trailer, and that they're still not at full power. Aqua will only gain strength through leveling up--there are no new Keyblades for her to obtain. (Famitsu's interviewer hypothesizes that this is why the Command Styles remain in 0.2, when they won't really be present in KH3, where you can change Keyblades. Nomura doesn't remark on this point one way or another.) When discussing the length of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep 0.2 -A Fragmentary Passage-, Nomura says that it will feature a lot of cutscenes. The intended play order is Dream Drop Distance, then -A Fragmentary Passage-, then Kingdom Hearts III. Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep 0.2 -A Fragmentary Passage- is not exactly scrapped content from Kingdom Hearts III. It was something he felt the need to make, but Nomura didn't want to bog down the pace of storytelling in KH3 with backstory, so he separated it out and created a separate installment around it. Kingdom Hearts III will have a short prelude before the game really starts to make sure everyone is caught up. In regards to Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD: Nomura mentions the Catanuki, explaining it was something the Osaka team really wanted to add to the game. He also discusses PS4 trophies, 60fps, and the difficulties in transitioning to a game without two screens to work with. He mentions the 'spirit' of developing for the unique properties of the 3DS continues, in now developing for the unique properties of the PS4. In regards to Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover: Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover is being made with the same tech as Kingdom Hearts III. Famitsu asked directly if the Black Coat is the Foreteller's Master. Nomura says yes! He is a 'unique glue' between them, and he apparently has nicknames for each of the Foretellers. Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ has recently hit 4 million downloads, and after the North American release, there was a very strong demand to release in the EU. He is happy for this chapter of Kingdom Hearts to be brought to fans all over the world. Nomura also hints that the Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ story will soon branch from the Kingdom Hearts χ [chi] story. Kingdom Hearts χ [chi] is complete, but Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ can be considered 'Season 2'. Nomura anticipates that Kingdom Hearts III may hit Japan slightly earlier than the rest of the world, but it will be nearly simultaneous. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue is in the final stages of production, with English recording currently being mastered and timed. He also told fans to please be patient and anticipate this winter for new Kingdom Hearts III information, and focus on Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue for now. Next year is the 15th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts, and also the 30th anniversary of Final Fantasy; he told fans to anticipate a lot of features next year relating to those series. Which of these answers has you most intrigued? Let us know in the comments!

He mentions the 'spirit' of developing for the unique properties of the 3DS continues, in now developing for the unique properties of the PS4.In regards to Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover: Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover is being made with the same tech as Kingdom Hearts III. 20. Since Dumbo was a summon in Kingdom hearts along with Bambi and Simba he had such a strong heart which saved his spirit from the destruction of his world to later turn into a water gem ending in up Monstro. And Dumbo already knew how to fly when Sora met him so the original story of Dumbo learning how to fly have kinda already been used but I think that another story could work in really good to the KH3. Story Sora, Goofy and Donald arrives in Traveling Circus the name I call Dumbo's world where they run into Dumbo who is in a corner crying. Sora and the gang asks Dumbo why he's so sad and then they hear a someone answering them from the ground a mouse. Timothy mouse is introduced to the gang then. Timothy explains that the circus has been taken under control by heartless and on so Dumbo's mom have been held captured and separated from Dumbo. Timothy explains that only Dumbo and he were the only ones to escape the heartless control. Ever since Dumbo has been trying to rescue his mom but failed. Sora tells Dumbo and timothy that that's the reason they are there is to stop heartless. Sora then tells Dumbo that they will put an end to the chaos and help him release his mother. Dumbo now feeling better looks up and recognizes Sora, Goofy and Donald remembering them similar to how Simba remembered them from KH2. and by this Dumbo joins the party while timothy remains a npc. Dumbo's ability is similar to the one he used as a summon but his new ability is that he can do a swing with his ears similar to how a plane doing a looping. Dumbo is really fast also within his ability. As the Gang explore the locations almost all of the circus animals have been taken over by darkness turing some into heartless. All the heartless have dark fur if animals and yellow haunting eyes. After fighting off some heartless and searching for Dumbo's mom the gang find themselves in a dark tent where Goofy spots Dumbo's mom standing in the dark. The gang runs forward only the realize it's fake and then Maleficent shows up. Maleficent tells the gang that such a world full of light was always her desire to turn into darkness. Sora asks why she still wants to turn the worlds into darkness. Maleficent ignores his question telling them that this world is going in to darkness soon. As Maleficent leaves into darkness so does an angry Dumbo flying in after her along with Timothy. As Sora, Donald and Goofy tries to follow a seal of light shows up sending them to the place Dumbo and Timothy ended. Now if you fear the pink elephants this is your chance to defeat your fear for good. Sora, Donald and Goofy arrives in a strange dark realm with Dumbo and Timothy. As Donald points up in the dark sky seeing a pink elephant it only grows and grows and so the fight begins. Sora, Donald, Goofy and Dumbo fights off the pink elephants who acts like the mirror did in BBS. After they defeated the pink elephants a portal made of light shows up sending them back to the circus. It was revealed that Dumbo's moms heart was captured by the ringmaster who had collected hearts from the circus. Sora and the gang finally meets the ringmaster and a huge battle takes place. In this final battle it takes place inside the circus where from the movie the pyramid of elephants was and the ringmaster who collected hearts is like a huge scary clown . He is quite similar to the boss fight with Ursula in KH. When you defeated the ringmaster all the hearts he stolen flies out to it's rightful persons. Dumbo's mom revives and they share a emotional reunion. As Sora sees Dumbo's happiness and light reunited with his mom Sora learns a very important lesson about what light really is. Sora locks the keyhole so that the world can never come to any harm again. Sora then receives the keyblade of believe which symbolizes Dumbo's light. As Sora leaves he says "I understand now what light really is it's love the love we give to the ones we care about" Now this how I think that Dumbo could fit in Kingdom Hearts 3 I wrote and came up with the story myself after watching Dumbo.
  21. I have created a poll for "What Disney Movie Would You Like To Be A World In Kingdom Hearts III The Most?" and have been sharing it around the internet. There are many polls about this, but most of them are generally small polls that don't quite accurately show what most people would like as worlds. Since this is the case, I have created this poll in hopes of it becoming the definitive and most universal and accurate poll for this question. So, please participate in this poll and share it around to as many people as you can. Thank you! Poll: http://www.poll-maker.com/poll771855x0b714d5E-31
  22. So, this is a very quich theory, probably incorrect, but we've so far fought the ice titan and the rock titan, right? Well Hades still has 3 other titans up his sleeve. According to the movie, there were five titans, and we've only fought 2. So what if we fight the remainding ones in Olympus Coliseum? I don't know, I threw this together last second. Tell me what you think.
