  1. Speaking with Famitsu Weekly magazine this week, Tetsuya Nomura, the director of the Kingdom Hearts series had some words to say about the Kingdom Hearts series, and the development status of Kingdom Hearts III. Nomura stated that Kingdom Hearts III (along with Final Fantasy VII Remake, which he is also working on) still has "a ways to go", with some worlds that remain untouched so far, and other unannounced worlds advancing in production. The relevant excerpt from the interview can be seen below, originally provided by Hachima and translated by Siliconera. The quote appears to imply that Kingdom Hearts III will definitely not be releasing in 2017, although, Nomura aims to show some of the game's progress off sometime this year. Translations of the full interview can be found under the cut thanks to Catherine Mueller (nichiei.translations@gmail.com). Be warned that there are spoilers for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 HD Final Chapter Prologue!

  18. I know Nomura said we weren't getting any news until after 2.8's ; but he also said we erected getting a worldwide release... Also it's kind of odd how early this final 2.8 trailer came out. Imean.. I'm not complaining but maybe Nomura gonna spoil us..another little Christmas surprise?..
  19. To continue on with our trailer analysis series, let's take a look at the chess pieces Young Xehanort and Young Eraqus are using in the Each piece seems to have a symbol on the top, which we noticed could correspond to characters in the Kingdom Hearts series, more specifically, the seven lights and the thirteen darknesses. Thanks to Tumblr user freeshooterxig, some of these symbols have been depicted with their corresponding characters: We also noticed that there are duplicates of the "Ansem, Seeker of Darkness" pieces - one to represent Ansem, and the other to possibly represent his Guardian. Also, we found two "Vanitas" pieces, possibly signifying Vanitas and the Vanitas Remnant. KH13 user, PrinceNoctis, gives his analysis: Another interesting thing to note is which pieces eliminate each other. It's hard for us to tell, but one move that is certain is the "Sora" piece eliminating one of the "Ansem, Seeker of Darkness"/"Guardian" pieces. If you can make out any other eliminations, let us know! We would just like to clarify that this is based purely on speculation. However, it seems too perfect in our eyes. So, what do you think of all of this? Can you depict any symbols we missed? Sound off in the comments below!
  20. I was just thinking of an idea for a possible KH3 trailer. I watched again the FFXV Omen trailer and it hit me there. What if they did a KH3 E3 2017 trailer based off the concept used for Omen with the same dark feeling. They could use the Keyblade War and Keyblade Graveyard along with Master Xehanort and the thirteen to help with the dark feeling. What do you think of this? I think it would be a great gesture.
  21. A continuation of the last theme I made for Xehanort but with additional parts (to represent multiple boss forms) and touched up sounds to make it sound over all better and more realistic. The Second segment was inspired by "Darkness of the Unknown". Hope you all enjoy.
  22. Why? So that that this can be the default animation: 5/7 Best game ever. Better than sex and getting head from Mary Poppins.
  23. So with the release of the new screenshots and renders from famitsu, I decided to compare the renders of Mickey and Aqua to their Ps2 era models, to see how they look overall and to see a side by side comparison. Upon comparing them I have to say that my appreciation for the kingdom shader has gone up even more, due to the fact that they look like the character designs from the last generation but with major improvements of course and how the models actually look like they could've been from a Disney animated film. Anyways, seeing these new renders makes even more excited for the game's release in January.
