  1. KH13 continues to analyze every nook and cranny of any news, photos, and videos of the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III. Today, we delve into the HUD, or heads-up display. It is also equally referred to as a 'status bar'. As we noted before, the classic command menu makes a return from Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II. While it doesn't look as artful as Kingdom Hearts II's default style, Kingdom Hearts III is still in development and nothing is truly finalized until it ships. While the command menu is interesting, the magic and health meters have much to say. To note, the character profiles show a much more serious Sora, Donald, and Goofy. Could this show us that Kingdom Hearts III is much more serious in tone than the previous numbered titles? It is also fun to note that, when hit, the characters still wince in pain. When Donald and Goofy are hit, their respective meters bobble up and down with a flashing red light accompanying it. Next, if you'll note the 'EX' gauge, it is still unclear what it pertains to, as it at least doesn't deplete when Sora is shown changing his Keyblade into dual guns, or summoning the attraction flows. However, recent images show the gauge's name was changed from 'EX' to 'Focus'. The reason for the name change, or what that meter reflects, has yet to be discussed by Tetsuya Nomura or anyone working on Kingdom Hearts III. Nothing is written in stone for the HUD, and anything could change between now and Kingdom Hearts III's release. Still, it is fun to speculate. What do you think the Focus gauge triggers in the game? Do you think the more serious profile pictures of Sora, Donald, and Goofy, hint at a more serious game? Please sound off in the comments below! Click here to view the article
  2. I decided to make a fan-art piece of the new Tangled world that was shown in the E3 trailer. I personally didn't really care if Tangled was going to be in KH3 or not. I liked the movie, but I was not like OMG this has to be in KH! But I think that it would be a really nice fit for KH3 with all the humerous elements. I am curious to see if we'll team up with Flynn or Rapunzel and how they will fight. (Rapunzel bitch-slapping hearless with hair ftw) My guess/hopes list for KH3 worlds are the following: Tangeled (confirmed), Olympus collosseum (confirmed), Frozen (if that's not in there I will eat my shoe), Big hero 6, Atlantis the lost empire, Wall-E, Wreck it Ralph, Jungle Book, Treasure planet, Toy story, Monsters inc., Ratatouille (Rat Sora!), Pocahontas, UP and the incredibles. Hope you like my drawing! ©kimbolie12

  3. As everyone knows after completeing worlds KH games, you would usually be rewarded with a Keyblade that contains certain powers/abilities. Not to mention a distinct look of a Keyblade from a specific world that reflects that specific world somehow. Though only 3 worlds have been confirmed for KH3, I was wondering your guy's ideas for the new Keyblades in KH3. Post some Keyblade Ideas, with different powers or transformation ideas! Upload some pictures of what you think could work in the game and would look great if Sora were to use it in battle! Get inspiration from the Disney films you love and incorperate a unique Keyblade that would be worth unlocking after completing that world! I don't know if there's a thread on this already so sorry if there is!
  4. We need your vote! Go here: http://doodle.com/2b59izbtscf84wnv and let us know what Worlds you want to see in KH3! Over the many years of kingdom hearts games we have seen many Disney worlds come to life; but alas there are many more than have previously been shown. We would like to know what Disney worlds (from a movie) you would like to see in Kingdom Hearts 3!
  5. Let's take a look at some of the new heartless seen in the E3 2015 Kingdom Hearts III trailer! The first batch of new heartless seen in the trailer are heartless that pop out of a river. They seem to have a shield of water around them when they first appear, and as you attack them, the shield goes away. It is also interesting to note that Sora uses what looks like Fire magic to attack these heartless, so there may be a bit of elemental strategy involved with these heartless in particular. Additionally, much like the elemental heartless from KH1, it does not appear that these heartless are specific to any world. They could very well spawn near any body of water, and not just this river in the Olympus world. The next wave of new heartless is a bit different in that it does seem like a heartless specific to the Olympus world. You'll notice that these heartless are wearing what look like Spartan helmets. Seeing as Hercules is set in Greece, this makes total sense. It looks as though these heartless may be specific to the Olympus world. Other than this, they have wings to help them fly, and they attack much like the Air Soldiers in KH1. The next new heartless in the trailer resemble Minotaurs, which are prominent in Greek mythology. They have humanoid features on their upper halves, but their feet have hooves, and when they gather together for a group attack, they lower their heads to reveal their helmets which don bull faces/horns. The new Tangled world also introduces a new brand of heartless. They represent dandelion plants. These heartless actually have two forms: A dandelion puff, and a more basic flower-like form. There was a segment in the trailer that showed the puff form releasing the puffs from itself to sprout new heartless. It is unclear whether or not this heartless is specific to the Tangled world, but it very well may be. One heartless in particular has has taken our notice. In Twilight Town, a Heartless has a bow & arrow, a quiver on its back and a red squiggly hat that resembles Merida's thick ginger hair from the 2012 Disney film, Brave. We have some screenshots of this you can check out below thanks to TheGamersJoint, and to KH13 member SoraFanatic for the tip. Could a Brave world be next revealed for Kingdom Hearts III? Would you like to see a Brave world in Kingdom Hearts III? Let us know in the comments below.

  11. I've seen the issue of the Kingdom Hearts 3 theme song floating around quite a bit recently so I'm here to explain to exactly what the title says. After Kingdom Hearts 2 Utada decided she deserved more money, Disney would not pay and so they cut ties, This is why we have not had a new song since Kingdom Hearts 2. Now since the games came out before digital downloads were thing the contract they have does not include the rights to digital versions of Utada Hikaru's songs. This is why we have never had a full Kingdom Hearts game available digitally and since Sony wants all PlayStation 4 games to be available digitally just as all Vita games are, legally we cannot have either the KH 1 or 2 theme song for KH3. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/122335-All-PS4-Games-Will-Be-Available-as-Downloads While Utada may still be on good terms with Nomua, her ties with Disney are still uncertain and both Square and Disney need the rights to her songs for them tonbe in KH3 so unless Disney decides to cave and pay her what she asks, whatever new song we have for Kingdom Hearts 3 will not be from Utada. So, to sum it up, it's Disney's fault.
  12. PlayStation Access a new video concerning Kingdom Hearts III. The video focuses on 8 aspects of Kingdom Hearts III, and discusses each one. The hosts of the video have interviewed Tetsuya Nomura, and they discuss the questions they asked him and expand on his responses, while describing their own personal desires for the game. This video is very interesting, seeing as we learn many things that suggest the game is quite far into development. You can view the video below, plus a complete list of the discussion topics.

  14. In a recent interview for Dengeki PlayStation magazine, Tetsuya Nomura, director of the Kingdom Hearts series, has stated that almost all worlds apart from the Olympus world in Kingdom Hearts III will be new. Although considered obvious from the trailer, this seemingly confirms for the first time that Olympus is indeed one of the worlds in Kingdom Hearts III. The other notable point from this is re-confirmation that the majority of the worlds we visit in Kingdom Hearts III will be new to the series. With that in mind, what worlds yet to be seen in the Kingdom Hearts series do you think will be visited by Sora and company? Let us know in the comments! Thanks go to @htmk73 for the interview summary, and to goldpanner for English translations of Nomura's comments, which can be read below.

  16. I have recently sent to "TheGamersJoint" a message offering this theory, and here it is : Hey Cynic, I've been watching your videos for just a few days ever since KHIII's trailer came out, and you actually caught my attention with how dedicated you are to share information about the franchise. For a while, I've been thinking of something that maybe not many of thought of it this way, but hear me out. I believe that calling Roxas as Sora's nobody is a grave mistake, and this could mean many things for the future of the franchise. To start things off, I have watched your video concerning the famous question "Why does Ventus look like Roxas?", as you clarified it with the events linked with KH1 and KHBBS. However, there is still a concern with, like you said in that video, saying that Roxas IS Sora's nobody. I believe it isn't the case. Let's start with obvious basics of what has been thought to Sora : When someone gives in their heart to the world, a heartless and nobody is born from that person. An example of this is Xehanorth with Ansem and Xemnas. But let's notice something : they have nothing in common in physical appearances. We can say the same for Naminé and Kairi ; originally thought to be linked. But, it's interesting ever since KHDDD where, at the end of the game, most of Organization XIII members, after awaking from their slumber and being "restored" to people, they look the same? This nobody theory seems controversial to me. From KHBBS' information, it has been shown that Ventus has been accepted in Sora's heart to dorm in while his body sleeps after his battle against Vanitas. Like in your video where you talk about this topic, I believe it is correct to say that Ventus was released in KH1 where Sora "sacrifices" himself for everyone he held in his own heart. However, this is the key part to understand WHO we see as "Roxas" appears into Twilight Town for the first time. He appears infront of Twilight Town's mansion, speechless. Shortly, Xemnas appears out of the blue to adress "Roxas". As he introduces him to his identity, I sincerely believe that Xemnas had Xehanorth's point of view over the situation. He saw this as a new chance to take this as a vessel of darkness. Let's call, "Roxas", Ventus, as I'm positive it is actually him. Ventus then gets renamed ROXAS, a code name for SORA. It is even further obvious to me that the boy we see is Ventus with vacant memories of his true past, because of the following reasons. 1: Xion's creation. She was made out of memories purely, just like a heart is in the world of Kingdom Hearts. The distinction from both is that Xion was modelled from Sora while Ventus had a share of his own core with Sora's, which permitted him to even exist again. 2: The controversial point I stated earlier in KHDDD, where Organization XIII reborns as their identical selves physically, is noticeable with Sora and Ventus : Ventus returns to Sora without Sora changing. 3: It has been mentionned in multiple games (KH2, KH358/2 Days for example) that it's surprising to see a Keyblade wielder as a Nobody. If no other Nobody has ever been able to wield a keyblade, shouldn't this be a notice that Ventus isn't a representation of a true Nobody? Doesn't a Keyblade choose a master to reflects a sense of purity inside of themselves, like Sora shows in KH1 VS Riku? 4: If Nobodies truly cannot feel, why is it that Ventus could feel remorse for the people he loses, like Xion? 5: Isn't a coincidence that Ventus starts again a life exactly the way he was found by Xehanorth in KHBBS, how he had NO clue of who he even was? These things have been connecting in my mind for a long time. Make this into a video of what you think. Because, the point of all of this, is : If it only was Ventus, we have not truly seen who Sora's nobody is. If this is correct, KH3 might reveal the true secret behind the creation of nobodies. EDIT : Chucky the Wise And Flaming Lea Were both VERY helpful people to answer questions, check them out!
  17. I was also surprised when I found it in front of my home, someone threw it away and it was flown by the wind and finally it's stuck at the garbage. Here's the scans of the issue which written and printed by Jawa Pos Team at Thursday, June 18th 2015 on Page 21 (if you're Indonesian, you can find it at Deteksi Game Section). PS : I don't own Jawa Pos! And I put it in spoiler since the scan is big. Here's for the translation from Indonesia to English. I'm sorry if the translation is bad Well, I can say that KH fans in Indonesia are also waiting for KH unchained X and KH III more updates well!
