Recently, content creator Shesez uploaded a new video in his Boundary Break series, where he takes the camera anywhere he wants to discover secrets in various games. This time, Shesez tackled the first Kingdom Hearts entry, showcasing several intriuging finds, such as viewing angles that players would never see throughout their playthroughs, zoom-ins on models and areas, and more. Although, perhaps the most major part of this specific Boundary Break is fully seeing Sora’s room which is only ever partially seen otherwise. Unused elements in the Halloween Town world are also shown off. You can view the Boundary Break video for the first Kingdom Hearts game below or you can check it out on his Youtube Channel. The version he used is not the original PlayStation 2 release, but one of the HD re-releases. Shesez did a similar video for Kingdom Hearts II roughly four years ago.

A KINGDOM HEARTS Roleplay featuring original stories with OCs, exploring the era of Scala ad Caelum during the time and events of the upcoming Missing-Link. In other words, a "fictional" variation of the events that have yet to be officially transcribed. The story of the RP will feature characters that act independently from both Brain and Sigurd, going about their own daily lives and missions as Keyblade wielders whilst living within the borders of Scala ad Caelum's grand city. The starting point of the RP will feature my OC named Thor explaining things to new Keyblade wielders that have joined the secret society that safeguards the order of the Worlds. Afterwards, the main plot will begin, with everyone's characters beginning their travels across Disney Worlds that have yet to be explored in the games. Here are the rules: Please be respectful of each other or risk getting banned from the RP. This is not a rule per say but it would be nice if everyone would name their characters after figures from Norse mythology. However, names like Baldr and Heimdall for examples cannot be used, as they have already appeared in the games. No god-modding. No swearing. Use proper grammar when conveying the intentions of your characters. No including characters from the games such as Sora and Brain, as this Roleplay shares an indirect continuity with the events of the Dark Seeker/Xehanort Saga, the χ (Chi) series and the Lost Master Arc. Romance is allowed but nothing 18+. All characters must start off at the fountain plaza of Scala ad Caelum seen in the ending of KINGDOM HEARTS Union Cross. Finally, have fun to your Hearts' content. Character Sheet: Name: Age: Appearance: Bio: Keyblade: Weapon: (If you are not a Keyblade wielder.) Japanese Voiceover: (Not specifically required.) English Voiceover: (Not specifically required.) Theme Song: (Not specifically required.) Alignment: (Light, Darkness or Neutral.) (Please write down "May my Heart be my guiding Key" at the top or bottom of your Character Sheets to show that you have read the rules.)

Seth Kearsley, the director and producer of the scrapped 2003 Kingdom Hearts animated series, has revealed more tidbits about the series on his Twitter including the cast list and part of the script for the pilot episode. You can check them out in the gallery below. The cast list has many of the voice actors from the 2002 video game including David Gallagher and Hayden Panettiere as Riku and Kairi, respectivly as well as Susan Blakeslee as Maleficent, Tony Anselmo and Donald, Bill Farmer as Goofy, and Johnathan Freeman as Jafar. The legendary actor Frank Welker was going to lend his voice as the Tiger Head for the Cave of Wonders. The only main difference was going to be the voice of Sora. Haley Joel Osment, the current voice of Sora, was unavailable at the time due to schedule conflict. Instead, Sora was going to be voiced by Bobby Edner, who had done some voice work for Disney in Monsters, Inc., Agent Cody Banks, and The Jungle Book 2. Fans of Final Fantasy might have remember him as the English dub of Vaan in Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy and Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. The script that Seth revealed was from the pilot episode titled "Agrabah". This episode would have included a dream sequence from Destiny Island when Sora and Riku were dueling with wooden swords with Kairi watching. An interesting aspect of the script is the order of takes. Hayden recorded her lines early while Bobby recorded his lines near the middle, and David recorded his lines later. In addition to the cast list and the script, Seth also revealed that he's trying to get the pilot episode converted over to digital and pending approval from Disney, will post it on his Youtube channel in the next upcoming weeks. For more about the scrapped animated series, you can check out the storyboard for the pilot on his DeviantArt page. We also did an interview with Seth back in 2017 so if you would like to read about that, then click here. What do you think about these new pieces of information? Let us know in the comments! UPDATE 10/6/2022: Seth Kearsley has shared a new video on his YouTube channel discussing the pilot's production and how it came to be. He discusses how he came to rewrite the script of the pilot following his disappointment of how the original script was like. In his words, it read like an episode of Aladdin co-starring Kingdom Hearts characters rather than vice versa. Further, the test screening for the episode performed well, but it was ultimately shelved.

Gilbert Gottfried a comedian and actor known for his crude humor, political incorrectness and shrill voice and providing the voice of Iago the Parrot from Disney's 1992 animated film Aladdin and in the Kingdom Hearts games, has passed away today following a battle of a long illness at the age of 67. His publicist told the Washington Post that he died of myotonic dystrophy type 2, a form of muscular dystrophy. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Feb. 28, 1955, and started performing stand-up comedy at just 15. Gottfried had a short, 12-episode stint on “Saturday Night Live” during Season 6 in 1980, and he reunited with his “SNL” colleague Eddie Murphy on “Beverly Hills Cop II". In the ’90s, Gottfried landed roles in films like the “Problem Child” movies, “Highway to Hell” and “Looks Who’s Talking Too,” before landing his most recognizable voice role as Iago the parrot in Disney's 1992 film, Aladdin and reprised the role as Iago in various media including the direct-to-video sequels The Return of Jafar and Aladdin and the King of Thieves, Aladdin the Animated Series, House Of Mouse, Disney Park attractions and the Kingdom Hearts series of games including Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II, Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories and the Kingdom Hearts Re: Coded cutscenes from the Kingdom Hearts HD II.5 ReMix collection. His other major voice roles included Digit from the PBS Kids series Cyberchase, Kraang Subprime in the 2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, Mr. Mxyzptlk in Superman: The Animated Series and Justice League Action, Dr. Bender and his son Wendell in The Fairly OddParents and was the former voice of the Aflace Duck in commercials for the insurance company until 2011. Gottfried is survived by his wife, Dara Kravitz, and two children, Lily and Max. Rest in peace Gilbert Gottfried and thank you for providing the voice of Everyone's favorite loud mouth Parrot.

Just a few days ahead of the 20th Anniversary event, another show on Disney+ has placed in a subtle Kingdom Hearts reference in one of their episodes. This time it's a nod to the games themselves in the latest episode of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. In episode 8 titled "Home School", when Penny calls her friend KG asking for a favor to find her cell phone, we see him playing a version of the 1st Kingdom Hearts game where Sora was in Dive to the Heart. It is also shown on his gaming setup that the other two screens have backgroud depicting the paopu trees on the Destiny Islands. The reference can be seen around the 4:00 mark. You can check out screenshots from the episode in the gallery below. UPDATE: The Production Coorinator of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder Breana Williams (@breanimator) has given some insight about this easter egg on their Twitter. In a series of tweets, they said that when the idea for the episode was being drafted, the director of the show Tara Nicole asked them about which video game(s) should the character KG be playing and Breana replied with Kingdom Hearts. This is the second show that references Kingdom Hearts in the past two weeks. The first one was the Kingdom Key D appearing in the Mickey Mouse special The Wonderful Spring of Mickey Mouse. Which show/movie do you think will reference Kingdom Hearts next? Let's know in the comments below!
