As Nomura stated, the team is dedicated on these two versions right now. Still, once the game has been released on these two consoles, Square Enix will consider bringing it to other platforms. What other platforms? Nomura did not clarify but we can safely assume that he’s referring to two: Nintendo Switch and PC. Here is what Nomura had to say about bringing Kingdom Hearts 3 to other platforms (and a misunderstanding that occurred during an interview with IGN who claimed that Kingdom Hearts 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch). “They misinterpreted the word ‘considering’ as to “it is possible to release” and it spread out. “Other hardware” is not limited to the Nintendo switch, and we will consider all of them after the release of the PS4 and Xbox one versions.” http://www.dsogaming.com/news/kingdom-hearts-3-pc-square-enix-other-platforms-after-ps4-xbox-one-release/ Welp this makes me happy hopefully the HD Collections appear on Steam and the Switch as well.

Apparently, something is going wrong with Steam and it is allowing people access to users' wallet/purchase history. Until further notice, stay off Steam and do not click links that lead to Steam. I'll update when more information is released. Edit 1: It allows you to see: account name, email, last 2 digits of card, current steam wallet fund, purchase history, security If you wish, you may unlink your PayPal from Steam but do NOT do it via Steam, do it via PayPal instead. Edit 2: It is a caching issue, meaning that ANYTHING having to do with Steam will put you at risk, from opening Steam, to playing games, to clicking links to the Store. Just stay off Steam until everything is sorted out. Edit 3: The issues have been resolved. No known unauthorized transactions were made during this, so that's a good sign.

Recently this week Tabata himself released this statement Some people thought this to mean that the PC is never getting FFXV, but I would like to inform anyone who is panicking, and the console fanboys that hate the PC for some reason and PC gamers( even though assholes exist in all walks of life) All this statement means that their is not going to be PC port near the launch of the console, he is talking about when FFXV launches it will only debut on the consoles, not yet the PC, it only means PC Gamers like myself may have to wait a little while after the console versions before. This reasoning fits a previous statement He has also made similar statement in the past when back in Janurary when he was asked if Final Fantasy Type-0 HD(A game that is currently on Steam I might add, but at the time was only confirmed for Xbox One and PlayStation 4) Now you may be asking why does Square Enix do these things, why do they say they have no plans to release something on the PC, when it is confirmed for the PS4/XboxOne. Well it's simple people waited over 7 years for FFXV, SE wants to capitalize on that wait, on gamers in general remember PC Gamers like myself can own consoles(The only current gen console I own is the Wii U, and probably the only Next Gen console I will own is the Nintendo NX, but I might buy the PS5 or the Xbox Two). Square Enix knows that people don't want to wait any longer for FFXV, and if the game is playable 30fps locked, then people even PC Gamers will buy one of the console versions, then when they release a superior version on PC, and get people to buy it on Steam, so basically double dipping in an attempt to maximize profits(Which I guess works somewhat because timed exclusives exist) To sum it up, it's pretty much, very much, almost confirmed to come to PC, but it will be after the console versions.

Recently I made a Steam account and thought it would be cool to add some people here on KH13. Steam is a system on PC where you can buy/download games, mostly originated from console games, to your computer and play. There are tons of free and cheap games on Steam to download. If you want your ID added, just post your ID below and I'll add it to the list (or if the mods want to contribute to editing, they are free to do so). While obviously this is by no means fact, but I have some interesting speculation. I have reason to think Kingdom Hearts 3, and Final Fantasy XV, and Final Fantasy VII Remake(It is a timed-exclusive) Could appear on PC, now so far they have only been confirmed for the PS4, and Xbox One(FFXV and KH3). However Nomura has stated that KH3 and FFXV both use DX11 as tools and whatever is capable of using DX11 is under consideration. http://www.dualshockers.com/2013/06/11/e3-2013-final-fantasy-xv-and-kingdom-hearts-iii-pc-version-hinted-by-tetsuya-nomura/ Now why would SE want to do this they want to sell more digital games. Only 1/3 of Square Enix's HD Games sell digitally on consoles which is pretty bad for Square Enix, since digital means more money in their pocket. with Steam their is less of a middleman, while yes their is a middleman, it's not as bad as the licensing fees on consoles, along with the fee that goes to the store that stocks said game. http://www.siliconera.com/2014/11/21/one-third-square-enixs-console-game-revenue-comes-download-sales/ Additionally, having games available for download also means that Square Enix can sell their games directly to consumers without them being affected by the secondhand market, from which game publishers make no money. The most interesting point, though, is the following quote from Matsuda: As we are trying to secure profit through utilizing stock of past titles, profitability of HD games must now also be considered over a certain time frame. It is not easy to recoup development costs solely by initial sales, however download sales will allow us to increase profit in a long tail manner. Read more at http://www.siliconera.com/2014/12/19/square-enix-will-focus-increasing-download-sales-via-steam-platforms/#DrtbtJiTmEPUs4ee.99 Now I know a Kingdom Hearts game has never been digital before, but that probably is about to change, you see the Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 have a same day digital policy. What is same day digital well it simply means that any game that doesn't have a required peripheral to be available to purchase on the XBOX LIVE or PLAYSTATION NETWORK store front on the same day as the physical release, and this applies to all games, and considering SE got the specs of the XBOX ONE AND PLAYSTATION 4 probably back in 2011, and knew of the policies in 2011, or 2012, these things aren't just sprung on developers they are told years in advance. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/122335-All-PS4-Games-Will-Be-Available-as-Downloads You now have more purchase options! Download your favorite Xbox One games from Xbox Live the same day they are available at retail – all in the comfort and convenience of your home. The digital version can be downloaded directly to your Xbox and you can even start playing before the full game download is complete. Have peace of mind that you’ll never lose your disc and can access or buy it any time of the day. For more information, see Q&A section below. Questions & Answers: Can I buy digital versions of every Xbox One game? All Xbox One Games will have a digital version unless there is a required physical peripheral (e.g. Skylanders Swap Force). So since it's most likely going to get a digital release anyway, the Xbox One, and PS4 are x86 machines might as well release it on Steam where you can make alot of money, because of the smaller middleman, and since Square Enix is looking to increase download sales via Steam, and places where digital download is popular and that platform is the PC. What could happen with KH3 is that they may not even use Utada's songs or if licensing was an issue they probably smoothed that out so that KH3 can be distributed digitally as the new console same day digital policy requires( I mean seriously no one I know uses CDs anymore, it's called iTunes) An example of digital benefits is Alan Wake which made it's budget back in 48 hours of being on Steam http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-02-20-alan-wake-pc-makes-money-back-in-48-hours The game is being made in Unreal Engine 4 which is an engine that is very PC centric engine, and would be an easy port to make, that is why the next gen consoles are using it which are basically close box PCs. Now they were using the Luminous Engine but they changed to the Unreal Engine 4 for various reasons one of those is rendering, but what if one of those reasons was because internally they have a PC Port planned because you know there are more people on the PC that can play Kingdom Hearts 3 on their PCs than the PS4, and Xbox Ones current install base, I mean their are 130 million users on Steam alone, and games like GTA V are some of the top played games on Steam, and Lightning Returns was one of the best sellers on Steam for a time, and games like Fallout 4, COD BLOPS 3, and GTA V are in the top sellers, so there is a good potential audience to sell the game too, added that their is little to no middle man on Steam, and you can make your own store front if you choose, so you cut out the middleman entirely, and with the advent of emulation more people can get Kingdom Hearts on the PC if they already own one, and play it by buying a cheap disc, unlike the Xbox One they would have to rely on you having had a PS2 which most probably did but still. Disney also has no Qualms with releasing games on PC, in fact I believe they put out more games on PC than SE has with their FF games so far, in fact pretty much all the latest games like Disney iNFINITY are on PC right now, and with Square Enix lauching their FF games on the PC left right and center KH3 would be the next obvious step in bringing their foothold into the PC market. Now I want to quickly touch on piracy, piracy =/= lost sales, that argument that piracy equals lost sales, or lost revenue has been debunked so much, you can just look on google and you will know the facts about piracy, and no emulation is not piracy, I also would like to point out that a person who buys a used games is less likely to buy the game new to support the developer than a pirate simply because if someone buys game at a discounted rated, they won't be inclined to buy it again because they already spent their dollar, a pirate doesn't spend anything and they don't stop anyone from making a legitimate purchase like theft, and since they didn't spend anything, and would like to support the developer if they enjoyed the game, and want a sequel. Not saying used games are bad, in fact they are one of the only things a console gamer has in terms of control, and a used purchase was once a new purchase, but developers still feel the same way about them because they simply don't get money out of it, and piracy and used games will never destroy the industry as much as publishers say they will. Now you may ask why wouldn't Square Enix announce it if it was coming to PC, well it's simple their are PC Gamers that own consoles, they want to double dip, have people buy the console version, then have those same buyers buy the PC Version especially since it will probably be the superior version, for obvious reasons, instead of those that wait like a year or two like me. Now when do I think it will come to PC?, well 8-12 months after the console versions like Final Fantasy XV and the Final Fantasy VII Remake, why I think it will come out in this timeframe is because of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD which was under the same circumstances as FFXV and KH3 made for x86 machines the PS4/XBOXONE made in Luminous Engine which is harder to use than Unreal Engine 4, so it should take less time to make a port for, and FFXV is made using Luminous so it should take a similar amount of time, while I understand it was 6 months between the PC and PS4/XBOXONE release, but I would think Square Enix would want to polish the PC release up a bit, don't want a Arkham Knight on your hands(seriously WB I mean it doesn't take many people to port a game these 12 guys at Iron Galaxy who ported Batman Arkham Origins, they seriously needed more time. I didn't consider the time it took to take the FFXIII games on Steam because the Xbox 360, and PS3, are a completely different architecture from the PC, hell they are a different from each other unlike FF Type-0 HD which was built for closed PCs(PS4/XBOX1) Now when the game does come to PC and any future Final Fantasy, JRPG, title in the future my hopes is that the PC port is not as disappointing as the Type-0 HD port, or the Lightning Returns port. 1. Unlocked resolution options it should at least go up to 4K resolution 2. Unlocked Framerate so no 30 FPS CAP, no 60 FPS cap, just whatever framerate that my setup can put out in relation to the settings I have on the game itself. 3. More Graphics options Low-Medium-High-Ultra, AA settings 4. MULTI-GPU SUPPORT In the words of the Legendary Durante himself So here is my appeal to Square-Enix: For the love of all that is holy, figure out how to query the OS for a list of available resolutions, and offer them to the user. Especially if your game clearly already supports rendering at those resolutions. Find someone to design and implement your mouse/keyboard controls who has actually played a third-person game on PC with mouse and keyboard. This problem is solved, and has been for at least a decade. Don't engineer your future games in a way which makes it apparently impossible for what is clearly a technically competent porting team to change the framerate. This is the 21st century. Now this is just speculation which could very well be proven that KH3 will never come to any other platform apart from the PS4/XB1(Which would be unfortunate) , and I hope this board doesn't become a console/PC war, or a console war I mean some people are butthurt that Kingdom Hearts 3 is multiplatform for some reason which doesn't actually impact the quality of the game in any way what so ever.

Considering this game is as popular as it is today because of the community, I thought it'd be fun to make a discussion thread for it! For those who haven't heard of it, Besiege is a game for PC that's available through Early Access on Steam, or the developer's website. Your goal is to create medieval siege machines to destroy a small village, battle an army, or attack livestock. The main focus of the game is the siege machine creator, which lets players make all sorts of really original and cool machines to pit against towns. It's a lot of fun, and a lot of really creative people have made some cool designs already. Also, as I stated earlier, it's in Early Access, meaning it's not even finished yet. The developers will use the community's feedback to continue updating the game until it gets its full release. It's an awesome game, and for only $7, it's a really great deal. It can run on terrible computers, too, which is really nice (Can confirm it does, as I'm using a crappy laptop). So, is there anyone else who plays this game? What do you all have to say about it? Made any cool designs you want to share? Let us know below!

So for the past week I've been playing this free-to-play browser game called Town of Salem, which is basically the party game Mafia, if you played this as a kid it is where you sit in a circle, and close your eyes and if you are picked as "The Mafia" you point to someone to kill, when everyone opens there eyes you try to figure out who killed that person it is like that but with people from the internet. I saw Markiplier play it on his Youtube and it looked really fun! It is free to play, but it is not pay to win, the only thing you use money on is costumes, pets, and death animations... purely cosmetic which is what all DLC and Free to Play things should be! Here is a link http://blankmediagames.com it is also on steam. Check it out, and i hope to see some of you there If you want to use me as a referral my username is Oblivian474

Y'all buy any good stuff from the Steam sale?
HeyMouseSayCheese posted a topic in General Discussion
(Or any other digital platforms that had holiday sales, I guess, Steam is just the biggest.) On my end, I got a few games I've really been wanting: Dark Souls 2 (pretty good!), Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (real good!), Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry (haven't tried it yet!) and all the Saint's Row IV DLC (still playing through SR3 again!), all for well under $30. Take that, people who say PC gaming is too expensive! So anyone else pick up some good shit? -

Anyone heard of Velvet Sundown? It's a free-to-play roleplay game on Steam that just came out where you play as a character on a yacht for a game that lasts about 30 - 60 minutes, depending on how many people join the session. Every character has a randomly assigned objective they must accomplish and try to see it through the end of the game. The catch is, though, that every character in the game is player-controlled, meaning that you're at the discretion of everyone else in the game getting into it. All dialogue is entered manually and voiced by a text-to-speech synthesizer, and the only way to win your goal is to interact with the other players. This being the anonymous internet, you could imagine how it can go. But if you find the right people, it becomes a beautiful experience.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NtNgWdR7cuM
