  1. So, I've always had this story in my mind, but never got the guts to write it (Since it does take elements of many franchises), but screw it, I'll write it now NOTE: This story takes elements of many franchises, and completely eliminates the backstory of said elements. Chapter 1: The New School The year was 2009. September 2009. Summer was coming to an end, and Autumn was slowly making its way. The weather was still sunny, and very tempting to stay outside. The new school year was about to begin, and several students throughout Portugal were eager to resume school. Except for Thiago. Thiago was 15 years old at the time. Brown hair, buffed up, good looking for the girls, with an upbeat attitude. Although there was one problem for him: the new school wasn't an ordinary one. - Thiago's room: 13th September 2009, 07:00 AM "Thiago, wake up! It's time to go to school!" said a female voice from the other side of his door. Thiago slowly got up, and anticipation rapidly filled up his heart. It was time to go to school. Thiago rushed to take a shower, and entered the kitchen. "How are you feeling son?" said a man sitting next to the table, holding a newspaper. "Terrible, why did you even enlist me on that school?" replied Thiago, with a worried voice. "C'mon son, that school is top-notch! One of the best of the area! And we don't have to pay as much as your previous school!" said the man with a smirk on his face. "Yeah, but you haven't heard of the rumours of that school, haven't you..." thought Thiago. There was a reason for Thiago to think like that. The school had the highest death records of students, teachers and employees of the entire country. People say it's because of a tyrant student that entered the school 4 years ago. Since then, people got scared of entering that school, and as such, the expenses of that school became largely small. "Alright, it's time to go now son." said the man. "Have fun!". Thiago left with a frowned face, and made his way to the new school. - Didactix: 13th September 2009, 08:15 AM Thiago arrived at the front gates of the school. There was a short, old man with a rotten cap standing in fron of the gates. Several students were around the gates, talking with each other, and entering the school. Thiago thought it was weird: nobody seemed to be sad, or anything. It was like a regular school. Thiago crossed the gates of the school, until the old man grabbed his shoulder. "Identification?" said the old man in a very disturbing voice. Thiago noticed the old man had the left side of his face completely stunned. "Oh...? Yes, here it is." said Thiago, as he reached to his pocket, and showed him his school card. "Alright, off you go, hurry." said the old man, again with the disturbing voice. Thiago didn't even think: he went forward right away. "Got scared with Mendez?" said a soft voice near to him. Thiago looked to his right, and saw a beautiful girl, with long brown hair, and green eyes. "Y-yeah." said Thiago, still stunned with her beauty. "W-what happened to him?" asked Thiago. "He had a stroke 4 years ago. He managed to survive, but now he's limited. He only works on the front gates now." said the girl. "Oh. That's sad to hear." said Thiago with some sadness on his voice. "I know. If it wasn't for him, he wouldn't be like that. Nor would the school have this horrible reputation!" said the girl with some disgust. "Him? Who's him?" asked Thiago worried. Nor the school would have that reputation? What was going on? "You'll see soon enough." said the girl. "The first to die has the easiest death". Thiago was starting to get scared. Were the rumours really true? "What's your name?" asked the girl softly. "U-umm, Thiago. Yours?" replied Thiago. "It's Diane. We'll see around, I have to go to class." said Diane, as she started walking towards a corridor full of people. Thiago started to follow her, until a girl screamed in terror "ROZÉ!", and all people around started to run in terror. Diane rushed towards Thiago, and shouted "If you want to live, you'd better run!". "Wait, who's this Rozé?" shouted Thiago, with some fear on his voice. Little did Thiago expect that Rozé would be a constant turmoil in his life.
  2. This is a scene i wrote for a fan-fic crossover between the MARVEL movies and Flash (TV Show) COULSON: ‘’You know, we at S.H.I.E.L.D. are forming a team. Might use a guy like you.’’ BARRY ALLEN: ‘’I’ll think about it.’’ COULSON: ‘’When you eventually do, we’ll be there.’’ Coulson hands Barry Allen a file, labeled with the name AVENGERS INITIATIVE.
  3. [You find a bound diary in a punished sack] It is currently 1AM, Morndas of the 13th of Sun's Height I finished preparing the mystic tablet that I found in some ayleid ruins and decided to test it out. I has been searching for an artifact to better my artistic skills, and I thought perhaps this would be it. The mystic tablet was obviously cursed, as a darkening aura surrounds it, and mark of a daedra is inscribed upon it. As soon as I placed my hand on it, my hands drew strange things without my control. By Azura, I ought to have known better. I know tevina is quite experienced in these things, perhaps I should ask her for help next time I am in chorrol for some advice. I can only hope the curse has no other unexpected side effects until then.. [The diary abruptly ends here, a claw mark from a scamp tears the other pages]
  4. As I look at this pool of life. Many of them jumps in. Happily. Forcefully. One by one, they all jump in. As I stand alone, looking at this pool of life. Being smothered in fear, from the depth of my heart. Overflowing thoughts fills my head. Consuming myself with probability. When stepping in, what is to become of me? Will I forever drown in this potential despair, with weights on my shoulders? Will I STILL be me? Many eyes stares at me, as they stand in this pool of life. Soaked and wet from the experiences they faced. Wondering why I haven't jumped in. Wondering why I'm standing all alone. Still dry. So many voices I hear. So many questions from their thoughts. My fears being fed by all of this mental commotions. For I haven't jumped in yet. Life is like a swimming pool. At birth and childhood, it's not visible. When growing up, it slowly appears. For at adulthood, it's there. Waiting. Forever waiting. There is no turning back.
  5. I have reached the finished line of my Thesis, Horray! In the middle of my break waiting for the thesis examination, I'm writing Kingdom Hearts Fanfiction. I haven't been writing fanfiction for... let's see... 5 years (?), and this time, I have mood on writing it, so why don't I write? First of All : Disclaimer : I don't own Kingdom Hearts. I'm so sorry if the story is kinda strange or funny, sometimes I'm not good in arranging and using good words in making it. I'm sorry as well if my english is not good enough, since my mother language is not english, so in case you find something funny in my fanfiction, I hope you can give correction by commenting or PM me which line is wrong or seemed funny and strange. 6. So since it's summer, I like English aaand I have A LOT of free time. I did what any aspiring writer would do and went onto my local forum, made a thread and decided to make a story. I think the main reason i'm doing this is so I can A) Get some writing experience in; more is more in this instance. B) Get constructive criticism (hopefully) from you guys reading and finally C) For top keks. This is mainly going to be improvised writing as if I want to continue this past the summer then my free time will suddenly disappear and I think it's better to get into a rhythm now rather than see a dramatic decrease in quality later. So yes, I may have to sacrifice quality for silliness, but after all this is for fun, right? I also want to be criticized on my writing style and on my ability to intrigue and interest those reading. Let's face it, if i'm boring, nobody is going to want to read what I write. Also, expect the chapters to be relatively short. (Expect sprinklings of bad language) So without further ado... Prologue: Dark Times It is a time of chaos in the citadel. War has scoured, ravaged and destroyed the lands. The word 'peace' now brings intense paranoia to those even brave enough to seek it, as treaties of all kind are broken in various heinous acts of betrayal. A strapping young rebel named DemyxIsBest, brave enough to challenge the powers that be, longing for freedom, has infiltrated the IGotC's (International Governance of the Citadel) main command centre and has sent out an intergalatic distress signal, requesting for the help of anyone enough daring enough to try and change the fate of the galaxy... "Work, damnit!" Demyx was frantically pushing the many confusing buttons on the control panel, glancing behind him in fear as the tendrils sweat began to slither down his forehead. He knew there wasn't much time. He could hear the military commander barking orders down the comms like a disgruntled terrior, "Get to the control panel! F6 Room 94! Move it, you imbeciles!" Finally, in what had seemed like an absolute eternity, Demyx heard the most reassuring voice. "Data transmitting. Message broadcasting in T-minus-2 minutes." He scanned over the various data screens, showing all sorts of incomprehensible graphics, data sheets, bar chats and coding. His eyes widened with anxiety as he saw men passing through the security camera, running hurriedly with their captain pointing and waving his arms like an eccentric school teacher. Crap! They're only a couple of minutes away! He fiddled with some more knobs and levers until one of them gave him a huge scare. Suddenly the doors clamped down with the ferocity of a crocodile snapping down its powerful jaws. Yes! This'll buy me some time! He started to wriggle and squirm with excitement, he'd thought he had done it! Could this be the start of the resistance I was so desperately waiting for?! His mind began to wander to the past of the Mars colony. The ruthlessly oppressive IGotC had creeped menacingly into the Solar System just like it had so many other colonies in the vast universe, wearing the guise of a peaceful trade federation - but then had bore its talons and had struck down the ones responsible for the harmonious and prosperous Mars colony; turning it into giant slave factory, only used for the IGotC's capital gain. Demyx had stood idly by and watched the mayhem unfold from the sidelines, his gut wrenched with each passing day until he felt his mind explode! He had to do something! This was his way of repentance of failing to protect the lives of so many innocent civilians, he was so close... He was jolted into reality by the sound of grinding against the glistening steel of the door, which had been earlier locked down. He saw heat lines shimmer and dance infront of him, and then his jaw dropped in horror as reality smacked him in the face; They're melting through! "Sh*t!" All concentration was now long as his attention was now focused on the computer's countdown, it was only at 37 seconds, time seemed to be going even slower than before, slower than the eternity of before, slower still.. He turned around with shock, fear and desperation as the IGotC's militants had broken through. There were 4 of them clad in all jet black, matte, menacing and sophisticated. They looked the part, and as Demyx's eyes moved up their bodies an icy chill was sent pulsating down his spine as his eyes fixated on their gas masks and their blood red eye slots. Without even a word uttered, not even a mere flinch of the bone or twinge of the muscle, they all simultaneously fired their rifles, their tools of destruction, their weapons of remorselessness. No sooner had they pulled the trigger than Demyx felt all the strength from his body desert him, he hit the iron-grilled flooring with a large thud. At that very moment, he was the most hopeless being in the universe. He felt devoid of warmth, his very soul drained. He felt his eyelids tremble as the final thoughts dreamily flowed through the rivers of his consciousness. He knew he was going to die as soon as he set foot into the command centre, such was the unforgiving nature of these cold-blooded tyrants. All was silent and still for a brief second, but then he heard the last voices he would ever hear, "DATA TRANSFER COMPLETE. GALACTIC SIGNAL SENT, UNIVERSAL TRANSMISSION ESTABLISHED." His last ever emotion would be one of hope, the faintest of hope, but hope nevertheless. He used the last of his strength to reassure himself that he had not died in vain, it had never occurred to him that it would all be over so quickly, and thus, he slipped away into the eternal abyssal void. ____________ Hope you enjoyed, please comment your thoughts below. Feel free to PM me if you want to be involved in the story!
  7. Drip, drip, drip, drip Constant, never ending. -Act 1- The cell was a 10x10 stony room. About 20 feet up there was a small barred window. Somewhere above this cell, there must have been some leaky plumbing. The drop, or drops, formed at the top of the window from some unknown source and fell to the bottom of the window about every 4 seconds. Each seemed to commit suicide as soon as it got a good look at the miserable surroundings of its new dwelling and at the sole, miserable creature of which to keep company. The creature was male. Exceedingly long, ratty, brown hair covered his face like a veil and ran down his back. The clothes, if they could still be called such, had once been the standard tan-colored long-sleeve jumper. Now only a fraction of the now almost black fabric remained. Tattered and ripped all over, it barely covered his torso and the top half of his legs. He sat with his legs crossed against the wall left of the window, staring up at it. (488, 489, 490..) he always started the day this way. Counting 1,000 drops. He didn't stop his counting when the small, rectangular slot on the wall to his left opened with a quiet electronic sound. The slot, as well as the door next to it and a bowl-shaped object in the corner, stood out amongst the rough, stony walls, floor and ceiling. They were so smooth and sophisticated in comparison to the barbaric cell. Although the rust helped them seem more at home. The metallic tray slid in as usual and the slot closed. He still paid it no mind. (997, 998, 999, 1,000) He took a deep breath through his nostrils and then glanced at the tray. Not that he needed to. He could smell its contents. A glob of green and brown slop. He'd been served the same thing for the past.. how many years had it been? He couldn't recall. He reached out and picked up the tray, he wasn't looking forward to the process of nourishing his wretched body, whatever nourishment could be gained from.. whatever it was. There were no utensils, never were. He set the tray on his lap and slowly began digging out small portions with his fingers and started eating. Then, something moved in the slop.. It just was a small wiggle. His eyes widened, more so than they had in a very long time. He reached inside the pile and pulled something out triumphantly. A grub, a pretty large one. His mouth watered as he slipped the worm between his lips as if it were a delicacy prepared by a gourmet chef. This was going to be good day. He simply had no idea just how good. -Act 2- Dreams, he never had them. At least not while he slept at night. He did, however, sometimes black out. In the these blackouts he would have the most vivid of dreams. Showing, what he believed to be the halls and other areas of the prison, and even outside the walls. He saw magnificent visions of the planets' wildlife and forests that lay just outside his confinement. He wondered. We're they dreams at all? Maybe just memories buried and confined to his subconscious.. Or perhaps, something else entirely. They were so real to him. At times it felt as if the blackouts were his spirit escaping from his body, desperate to see something beyond these dripping walls. By the time his eyes shot open, he heard the familiar sound of his tray sliding across the bumpy stones toward the slot. He reached out to grab the nearly full tray, but it was too late. The slot closed shut with a mechanical *Shunk* He guessed he had probably been out for over 10 minutes. At meal time each day, a tray was slid in through the slot. After about 15 minutes, the slot would open back up, and an invisible force would pull the tray back through. Probably an electro magnet, he thought. His eyes narrowed in disappointed as he eyed his fingers, still covered in slop. He hadn't finished his meal, but that didn't matter so much once he remembered the worm. (Mmm) He thought, almost grinning as he rubbed his belly. Suddenly, his mind turned away from food as he recalled the vision he had seen moments prior. How could he have forgotten it the first place? It was the most bizarre one yet. He sat in his cell, alone. Counting drops as he always did. When suddenly, there were no more drips. Not a sound. Then out of nowhere, the door to his cell burst open! And in came.. the worm. It looked exactly the one he had eaten.. Except much, much larger. As he stood to his feet, he noticed that even with only half of its body upright it stood taller than him. Hundreds of legs ran down its entire body. The ones on the rear half of its body scuttled along to propel the enormous worm forward. It stretched out a single arm towards him. At the moment he knew it had come for him. Come to free him from his life of solitude. It looked at him with what seemed like a look of reassurance. He didn't hesitate. He grabbed the outstretched arm and the worm led him out. It led him down winding halls and corridors. After a short time they came to a door. He looked at the worm worriedly. The worm simply shook his head as if to say, "It's ok." After a moment he reached out and pushed the open button on the console next to the door and it shot open. He expected to see the outside world. But there was just.. Blackness. It wasn't space, there were no stars. Suddenly, he was sucked into the void. He shot one last glance at the worm as he was whirled away. He remained in the doorway, nodding reassuringly. In no time at all the doorway, along with the worm, were gone. Out of site forever. He quickly came to a stop. His body no longer being pulled. He was floating, alone once again. He began to feel the darkness come over him. It was like tentacles constricting his body. They started around his ankles and worked their way up. He struggled to no avail, he would be consumed. Just as the darkness was about to cover him completely, he heard a voice. It was a familiar one he heard sometimes in his visions. It always said the same thing. "Derren," it called out. And in that moment, a light burst forth. It broke a small hole in the darkness. The tentacles loosened, soon falling from him completely as the void of darkness began crumbling before him. Light piercing through every crack and break. "Derren-El!" He heard as the darkness shattered to nothing and he was engulfed in light! He had heard that voice. He'd heard it say that word, "Derren." He'd even had visions of being alone in darkness, but the darkness had never been broken. And there was something else. He had never heard "Darren-El." That almost sounded like a name to him. Not that he knew much about them. What he did know was about numbers. His number, to be exact. Even if the patch on the right arm of his jumper hadn't come off, he would never forget his number. "8842." The number was tattooed on his chest. Never to be forgotten. [Alright, that's all for now! I will update it later.]
  8. PROLOGUE 50 years ago, the gates of hell were opened and demons invaded our world. Nobody knows how the hell they came to Earth but it is clear that someone in our world opened the gates via magic and they're still looking for the person responsible. Now the demons live among us, hunting and preying on the naive. Not all hope is lost though. There is a savior, one girl who is strong enough to kill the demons and help restore order to our world. . . . . CHARACTERS NOTE: Have no idea for names yet, but ill come up with decent backstories I will separate them in three categories: backstory, personality, and allignment. I'll upload them as soon as possible.
  9. This'll be the topic where I post my AU KH series, Antipode. So what is Antipode, exactly? In a nutshell, it's my take on what would happen if Riku received the Keyblade as originally intended, keeping in mind his personality from the first game and progressing from there. It's less of a role switch and more of a character exploration with a side of Disney love and my own ideas. I'm not really sure what this forum's policy is on offsite fic links, but for now I'll play it safe and link to the stories because... well, they're long. So... The Antipode The first story in the series and KHA's take on the first game. This is where Riku's journey begins as he tastes the freedom outside his island home. But is it really what he dreamed of all those years, and can he look past his own selfishness in order to defend the worlds? Features an additional world based on Pleasure Island from Pinocchio, a general abundance of Disney, and a different struggle between Sora and Riku than one involving jealousy. Details within. Fragmented Truths Takes place directly after the first story and features the introduction of the Organization as well as a certain Replica. With darkness continuing to spread throughout the worlds, Riku, Donald, Goofy, and now Kairi must pick up the pieces and uncover not only the Organization's goals, but what happened to Sora and the Replica's intents.. Features worlds based on the Sword in the Stone, Jungle Book, and Great Mouse Detective to name a few. This fic is a work in progress. As a random sidenote, Fanfiction.net's text editor likes to smoosh italicized words sometimes. I'm currently going through all the chapters of both fics to fix this. If a few words slip by, I'll try and get to 'em when I can! I will probably post future chapters of Fragmented Truths as actual forum comments as well as links, and if my use of links in this post is a problem, I'll see what I can do to rearrange things. I may also post related drabbles that don't fit anywhere into the main narrative just for fun. It depends on how much time I have. The Year Between Trapped in a digital realm, Riku is oblivious to the perils outside. Kairi struggles to take his place, but in a universe overrun with darkness, she's all but alone. Sora has left to find an old friend, Riku Replica is on the run, and Xion is busy hunting. In the time it takes them to pick up the pieces, the Organization's dark plan nears fruition. AU. A direct sequel to Fragmented Truths, this story follows the adventures of Kairi, Riku Replica, Xion, Sora and Aqua, with occasional glimpses at Riku. It's probably a more ambitious fic, since it's covering so many perspectives, but it's been fun to write. Features worlds based on Gargoyles, Monsters Inc., and Pocahontas. Alternate Link: Archive of Our Own. Contains the full series up to this point.

  11. STORY It all started with a single entity. An entity who had no objective, no goal, and nothing to believe in. So one day it discovered that were more universes than his own. Thus, they were merged and absolute chaos ensued. MARVEL Vs SHONEN JUMP
  12. So I've been trying to write this for quite a while, but I have finally done it. As you have most likely already seen the title of this topic, this is about the 13th seeker of darkness. However, I decided to something interesting. I decided that I want to make you a part of the story. That's right! You are the 13th seeker of darkness! Enjoy and please leave a comment on your thoughts on this. The XIIIth Seeker of Darkness: You Chapter I “I was the newest member of this ‘organization’, the 13th to be specific,” you say to yourself. “They tell me that I was very special to take that role, but why?” you ask yourself. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ “For some reason, I can’t remember who I am or where I even came from. All I remember was finding myself in a world filled with nothing but the darkness around me and its foul stench. All I did was walk forwards, ‘cause that was really the only thing I could do.” “It felt like I had walked for days, but strangely enough, at the same time, it felt like I had walked for a few minutes,” you continue. “I wasn’t hungry or tired or anything really. I just walked…and walked. Until, I arrived at a beach with sand that had the colour of charcoal, the sea with the same shade, as it was reflecting the starless sky; and an orb of light in the distant horizon.” “That light was what intrigued me the most. It was far, but I could feel its soothing warmth and just staring at it made me forget what kind of place I was in, even the horrific smell.” “It was then that I decided to swim out and reach that light for as long as it took. I had to have some sort of goal and that was what I wanted. However, as soon as I was about to make my first step into the water, I heard a strange noise from behind me. I turned round to see a black-hooded figure who was offering his hand to me.” “He said that my goal was not that precious light in the distance, but to join his organization of hooded figures. I can’t say that I didn’t trust him at first, but I didn’t what to do. After all, he was the first person I met ever since I had found myself with no memories.” “So I followed him into some sort of portal that he made appear just by raising his hand. After that, I found myself in a dark city, in front of a skyscraper.” The man took of his hood to reveal an eye-patched individual with scars, golden eyes, pointed ears and a huge grin. He offers you a black coat, the same one he was wearing and said that it would protect you from the darkness. At that moment, you quickly take the garment and wear it as you believed in the man’s words and you already feel safe wearing the coat as you did not wish to find yourself in that strange place again. “You feel safe kiddo?” he asks you. You decide not to answer him as you still don’t feel that this man is trustworthy and instead, you pull the coat’s hood over your face to hide it. “Well aren’t you just an individual of words? As if,” he says. He tells you to follow him up a road ahead, towards a floating castle over a bottomless pit. On your way there, the man continues to ramble and doesn’t stop talking. He goes on to say how you’re ‘special.’ You remain unsure whether or not he was showing a sign of appreciation or if he was just straight out insulting you, but you continue to remain unresponsive. He finally decides to introduce himself as you arrive in front of the castle: Xigbar. You and Xigbar walk towards the castle on some sort of blue platform. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Eventually, you find yourself in the centre of thirteen thrones with everyone one of them filled with hooded figures, except for two: one of which Xigbar states that it’s his. The other remains unknown to you. You look up to see an old man with the same eyes and ears as Xigbar. He seemed to be the only one among them who was not wearing the black coat. “Does he not need protection from the darkness?” you ask yourself. The old man grows a grin and says, “At last, our XIIIth member has arrived. Mark my words my companion, your services to this group will not go unnoticed. Of that I am certain.” You feel like you are at home as you feel safe with this organization of black-hooded figures. “But first,” the old man continues, “we must observe your ways on the battlefield to see if you are truly worthy. As I have been told you have quite remarkable skills.” All of a sudden, you’re feelings of safety wash away as you are surprised by the words of the old man. “I can’t even remember who I am!” you say to yourself. “How am I able to fight? And from where did the old man hear I am worthy? Was I a truly powerful person before my awakening with no memories? Who was I?” You are left with these questions and so many more in your mind as the old man decides to inform you of your first dual.
  13. I am working on a novelization of BLEACH, and i decided to share an excerpt of dialogue before i am going to upload the first chapter. Feedback is very much appreciated. ‘’What the hell, bro?’’ ‘’You think you can just go around kicking one of my boys and command us to leave like that?’’ ‘’Do you have something to say?’’ ‘’Alrighty, then! First question, you over there! What is this thing?’’ ‘’Um, I think it’s supposed to be an offering for a girl who died in a car-crash few years ago?’’ ‘’Correct!’’ ‘’Question two, why is it suddenly knocked over?’’ ‘’We were skateboarding through here and Yamcha accidentally knocked it over…’’ ‘’Correct!’’
  14. In the southern regions of Asia, a bright young lad took his first steps on the sands of the India. He had traveled the world in search for a cure. Not a physical illness, but an emotional one. He hadn't been able to fulfill true happiness. He had hoped to find it here. After taking a quick glimpse, the young man, Shard, decided to go to town. He had heard of foods that brought on good emotions. Chocolate that gives off love, coconuts that give off bliss. But no, it wasn't meant to be. The town had been closed off, protestors filled the streets. What was going on? Shard was confused, and went to get a closer look. "Alright you natives, we be harvesting the goods here, you just mind yourself!" A loud female voice filled the air. Shard looked to the voice. It wasn't a voice he recognized. Why would it be? It was her first time in India. But the female was obviously American, her skin white as snow, her eyes an indescribable color. "Captain Hargle!" a voice called out. "All the goods are loaded, and ready for shipping." It was revealed to be a young male, who also appeared to be American. "Good." Captain Hargle commented. She took a look out into the crowd before saying "You're all free to return to your markets." The gang quickly dispersed, and the crowds did the same. Shard followed the Captain. However, it wasn't too long before she had taken noticed. "Trixie!" She yelled. The young man from before returned quickly. "Yes Captain!" Orderly and clean, the recruit stood awaiting orders. "Take care of our stalker. I must tend to the grounds!" Trixie nodded, and ran towards Shard, blade in hand. Shard, hoping to cause confusion, began to dance. Trixie looked at the young man in confusion. Why was she dancing when she was about to be murdered? He lifted his blade high, and quickly brought it back down. Shard begins to slide backwards, as required of him in his dancing. However, this caused him to bump into Trixie, who drops his sword due to the surprise. Shard quickly picks up the sword, and aims it at Trixie. "What are you doing with the town goods?" He asked forcibly. The man begins to laugh. “We all have to die sometime, yes? You might as well end me now, I'm not telling you anything!" Shard takes the blade, and swipes it at Trixie's right leg. It comes off in one clean hit, and he falls to the ground. Shard walks over and places the edge of the blade against Trixie's waist. "Answer my question, or your goods go too." Trixie cried out in pain, not being able to answer clearly. Shard lowers the blade towards his nether regions, lifts the blade high, and... "STOP!" another female voice calls out. It wasn't the Captain... No, this was someone new. Shard couldn't tell who she was, but she could definitely tell she was part of Hargles crew. "Don't hurt him anymore!" Shard stared at the woman, before querying. "Who are you?" The blade still aimed for Trixie's regions. "I am Crewman KittensOnFire, and I'm here to take you back to the ship! Captain's watched your moves from afar, and knows a good fighter when she sees one." "KittensOnFire? That’s a weird name. Why was she watching me?" Shard was rather enraged that the Captain would let a crewman get injured. KittensOnFire sighed, and answered. "Because, the Captain needs new crew members, and we're running low on Numbers, which is why I came here before you could finish off poor Trixie there.” Two male crew members walk up from behind KittensOnFire, carrying a stretcher. They lift Trixie onto it, and carry it back to the ship. Shard lowered the blade, but kept it in hand in case he was being tricked. “Alright, KittensOnFire. I’ll go with you for now, but no tricks or you know where this blade’ll end up.” “Follow me” KittensOnFire nodded nervously before leading KittensOnFire away. KittensOnFire looked back several times, to be sure that Shard had not planned on sticking her while she wasn’t looking. Together, they headed back towards the beach, or rather, the port near it. The port itself was small enough, but the ship was indescribable. “Welcome to the KH13.” KittensOnFire finally said. Shard continued staring at the ship in awe. The details in the wood work… Wait, woodwork? Its 2015, why is this ship made of wood? KittensOnFire led Shard up the ramp, and onto the ship. The two males that had taken Trixie away were sitting on deck, playing with a deck of cards. Shard walks to the wheel sitting on the upper deck. There was no one there, so he took hold of the mantels. It did nothing, of course. Shard looked at his hands, feeling foolish. KittensOnFire walked up to meet with Shard. "I want you to meet some of your crew members. Follow me." Shard complied, and walked back to the lower deck with KittensOnFire, who lead her to the two playing with the cards. Shard didn't recognize these kinds of cards. The male on the left had a card labeled "Chespin", while the male on the right had a card labeled "Froakie" "Meet Sky, and Soul." KittensOnFire spoke, speaking the later name with loftiness. The two didn't look up, but instead continued their game. "Sky... and Soul..." KittensOnFire continued. Soul looked up as KittensOnFire said his name. "Hey." That's all he said before looking back down. "Um… we’re pretty close, I guess you could say. But there's two more people you need to meet. Follow me... again" Once again, Shard followed KittensOnFire across the deck, and towards a door, that lead into a hallway. The two together went into the first room on the left. A man was standing near a bedside, over Trixie. After looking around the room, Shard determined that this was the Nurses room. “This is our nurse, WakingDawn.” Jasha looked up to Shard, and chuckled. “So, you’re the one that put poor Trixie here in my office.” Shard looked over towards Trixie, feeling some regret for doing what he had. "Yes" she spoke. WakingDawn sighed, and walked over to the two. "You know, we used to call him Legs. But now, we have to call him... just Leg." WakingDawn had hoped to lighten up the situation. So, two careless members, one Captain, one lofty nurse, and a ship named KH13. What was going on, even? “Look, I just want to speak with the Captain.” Shard said lightly. He was tired, it had already been a long day, and she didn’t know what she was supposed to do here. “Alright, it’s the door right across from this room. Go in there alone.” Waking said, rather than KittensOnFire. In fact, KittensOnFire wasn’t even in the room. Shard assumed she had left to join Sky and Soul. Shard looked out the door, to the other door labeled with “Hargle.” Once in the hall, he took a deep breath, and opened the door. She took a few steps in. The Captain was sitting quietly in a chair, facing out a window behind her desk. “Captain Hargle?” Shard spoke lightly, as to not get herself in too much trouble yet. “Please,” the woman spoke. She turned her chair around, stood up, and removed her hat. “It’s Captain Jak Hargle.” -End of Chapter One- IF I USED THE WRONG PRONOUNS, I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE. Correct me, if you wish, and I will fix them above.
  15. Hello everyone, this is a novel I'm writing for fan fiction. It will be the last entry in the Avatar series. It would be great if you read the prologue and told me what you thought! Thanks! Prologue: Many things had changed during the forty years after Avatar Korra opened the third spirit portal. Technology was improving faster than ever, all thanks to Future Industries. Even though technology was being produced that would help improve the lives of the people, secret weapons were also being made. Weapons that were designed to kill Benders. There are four elements in the world: Air, Water, Earth, and Fire. The people that can manipulate these elements with their bodies are called Benders. However, not everyone in the world is a Bender, only a select few. Usually, your father or mother has to be a bender in order to give birth to one, but there are rumors that some who are born from Non-Benders can control the elements. There’s only one person in the world that can bend all four elements, and that’s the Avatar. The Avatar is reincarnated after every lifetime. Avatar Korra was our most recent Avatar, but everything changed when the Non-Benders attacked. They used Future Industries’ technology to make advanced weaponry, the likes of which had never been seen. All in an attempt to kill the Benders. They had to wait for the perfect moment, the moment when the Avatar was the most weak. Once Avatar Korra turned sixty, they attacked every nation, seeking out benders and slaughtering them. The benders tried to strike back, but the weapons were too great. Once the Non-Benders attacked Republic City, they sought out Avatar Korra and killed her wife Asami. They then forced the Avatar to travel the world with them and shut every spirit portal, once Korra did this, the benders had no further use for her, and shot her. The Non-Bender ruler who set all of these events in motion was Alva Cantebella. He was living in republic city at the time of hearing the Avatar had been killed. Alva knew all too well what would happen next, and made a decree that any male baby that was under the age of one was to be killed by his forces in the Earth Empire. With every Avatar, there is a cycle, it changes from male to female every lifetime, and is born with a specific element. The next element in line was Earth, this is why Alva made this decree. A slaughter of babies took place all over the Earth Empire, they even killed Non-Bender babies just to be safe. The only way to stop the Avatar cycle completely is to kill the Avatar in the Avatar State. The Avatar State is only active when the Avatar’s life is in jeopardy. Babies were tortured first, then murdered to test them for the Avatar State. However, no matter how many babies the Non-Benders killed, they couldn’t find the Avatar. Many Non-Benders rebelled against this decree, but they were also killed for disobeying Alva. Alva had too much control, and the only thing he wanted was a world free of benders. One month after the decree was announced, Alva experienced something that would hinder his plan. Alva’s wife, Zakiya went into labor and gave birth to a son. There was only one problem, Zakiya was an Earth bender. As Alva gazed at the body of his son, he decided to keep his son’s life a secret, for fear of losing his own son. It wasn’t loss that Alva feared, but a missed opportunity. If his son turned out to be the Avatar, he could use his son’s power to rid the world completely of all Benders. You see, the Avatar has the ability to take people’s bending away. Zakiya’s ability to Earth Bend was kept a secret from everyone except Alva. They had fallen in love at a young age, and Zakiya supported what Alva was doing. She too wanted all of the Benders destroyed. On the outskirts of Republic City lived a young woman, she herself wasn’t a bender, but her husband was. Living a quiet life, they distanced themselves from everyone once Alva was elected into office. However, peace only lasts a short while. Rumors had been spreading that the young woman’s husband was a Bender, and Non-Benders targeted them. The husband told his wife to run away with their child. She packed up a basket of food and clothing and started to run. The Non-Benders broke inside the house and killed the husband, and frantically searched for the wife. The young woman had been running all night, but the Non-Benders weren’t giving up. With the decree still active, the young woman feared for her child’s life, and decided to empty the basket and place her child inside of it. She filled it with the soft blankets she had taken from her home, and closed the lid. After whispering “I love you” to her child, she set the basket in the calm river, and watched as the basket safely floated downstream. The mother began running again, but it was too late, the Non-Benders had found her. The basket shook around violently due to the currents once it started heading downstream. The river lead directly into Republic City, and was flowing directly beside the home of Alva and Zakiya. Zakiya was playing with her son in the gardens when she heard the crying. Zakiya rushed out to the river just in time to see the basket. The basket had landed safely on the shore. Muddy and somewhat broken, Zakiya looked into the basket to see a baby crying. Zakiya picked up the baby and held it in her arms. It was as if fate itself had brought this baby to her. Falling in love with the infant, Zakiya rushed inside to show her husband. However, Alva was upset, they didn’t need a second child, and the Avatar had yet to be found. Alva was going to kill the baby, but Zakiya refused. “End this decree”, Zakiya told her husband. “Children do not belong in a war.” After seeing the pain in his wife’s eyes, Alva ended the decree. Sometime after the decree had ended, a general by the name of Aeron Delray came fourth claiming he had killed the Avatar in a small village outside Republic City. Thankful for the news Alva promoted Aeron, and Aeron became Alva’s personal guard. Alva was finally able to bring his son out of hiding, and embraced his new son that had floated downstream in a basket. Although, Alva was unaware that the child in the basket, would become the hope the Benders needed. The child in the basket was the Avatar, the last Avatar.

  17. Currently, there are a series of Spin-Off movies in development, starting with the movie Rogue One. If LucasFilms asked me to make a Spin-Off movie, here is how things would go. Timeline wise it would be set during and after 'A New Hope'. And it would be set on a planet which is mostly taken over by the empire and is kind of a corporate-mining-type planet, and there is minor rebel influence. What the movie would explore it would be seen from the middle part of the Rebels VS Empire war And the reason The Empire has so much interest in this planet, is because there is this group that worships The Force instead of using it for combat. The main cast would also be like this band-of-misfits, like very Firefly-esque group of people.
  18. Hey there everyone, good evening, and how’s it going? Well then, here is a new story of mine that I shall be posting here, and as you can see, the title of the story is Bokutachi No Hibi, which means Our Days in Japanese! This story is about Roxas and Xion, and it’ll be a high school life/drama story. Before beginning to read the story, I wanted to tell you a bit about how I came to writing it. So then, my inspirations for writing this story are Caelum Mare, for by reading his Kingdom Hearts fanfiction, titled Art of Attraction, I was able to get the basis for this story, so for that, I thank him very much! And my dear Inori helped me flesh out my idea by searching for last names for the characters that will appear here, and by giving me suggestions for this story, and she even came up with the title! So yeah, what you’ll see here is a collaboration between me and my dear Inori, so I’d like to thank her for supporting me in writing this story and for helping me out with it! This story is dedicated to her! Without further ado, here is the story! Enjoy! Prologue: A Confusing Dream (Start Song Here) “Can we stay together…?” “Is it too late?” “There’s no stopping this…I wish we could have stayed together…” “No! Don’t go!” “Gaze up at the stars…and remember me…” I suddenly wake up, gasping for breath. Sweat is dropping down from my brow. My head hurts and I feel so confused…I look towards my alarm clock and notice that it’s 3:00am. I slowly lean back on my bed, looking up at the ceiling, the whole room darkened and quiet. My name is Roxas Harada, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve always had this same dream. And in this dream, I always hear the voice of a girl, but I can never seem to picture who she is. Someone from my past? Someone I’ve yet to meet? Someone who only exists in my dreams? The only clue I have from this dream is that it takes place in what seems to be an island, a beautiful island paradise, near a palm tree. The images always blur whenever I try to focus on what I’m seeing in the dream. I really don’t know what to make of it. I’ve tried to talk to my brothers about it, but I don’t think they can help me. So for all this time, all I’ve been able to do is wonder. Wonder what the dream means… (End Song Here) Not being able to fall asleep, I wake up and yawn and stretch my legs, and then I lazily open the door and walk downstairs to get myself a glass of milk. Jeez, and tomorrow’s school! Great…all I know is that tomorrow I won’t have a spectacular first day. Anyways, I head down and then head towards the kitchen, opening the fridge, and then I spot the gallon of milk. Just as I’m about to look for a glass, I suddenly feel something on my shoulder, and then I give out a startled yell. When I turn around, I see my fraternal twin brother, Vanitas, laughing , but trying not to sound too loud. “Ha, you should have seen the look on your face, it was priceless!” he said, clearly enjoying himself. “Uh-huh, yeah, I must have looked totally ridiculous!” I replied back to him sarcastically. Vanitas then put his arm around my shoulder and smiled, laughing continuously. “You know, that’s what I love most about you Roxas! You’ve got one great sense of humor!” he said, shaking his head while smiling. I simply nodded and ran my hand through my spiky hair. He noticed something was up, and then he leaned his back to the kitchen counter. “Hey bro, what’s up? You look down in the dumps.” he asked. The way he asked it was in an “aw, what’s wrong with my brother?” kind of tone. God, he sounded annoying. But I knew he meant well, so I turned around and looked at him straight in the eyes. It was a little intimidating looking at his eyes since they were yellow. I mean seriously, his eyes were shining through the dark like a cat, and it was creepy! And with all that spiky black hair, and black pajamas, all I could see were his eyes, and it gave me the creeps. To shake him off, I tried to come up with an excuse. “Well, I just don’t feel sleepy, that’s all. It also could be because I’m a little stressed out because of school tomorrow…” I said to him, hoping that he’d buy this. I mean, sure, school wasn’t the problem, but I wasn’t a big fan of school either, so hopefully, he’d just buy this story and carry on. But unfortunately, because he’s my brother, he knew that wasn’t the case. “Uh-huh, sure. You can’t fool me, goldilocks, something’s got you thinking, and I want to know what it is.” he said, this time saying it in a mischievous voice, like if I didn’t tell him, he’d probably give me a wedgie, or worse, he’d take my glass of milk and throw it to my face! Oh, and I knew that he was capable of doing that! He was that much of a jerk! “Umm…” I began to say. “What is going on down there?” a voice echoed from upstairs. The kitchen lights turned on, and I covered my face, for the sudden light made my vision blurry. When my eyes adjusted, I saw my identical twin brother Ventus, standing in front of me and Vanitas with his arms crossed and with a very irritated expression on his face. “Do you two know what time it is!? What the heck are you doing down here!? You two should be sleeping right now!” he exclaimed. Vanitas was about to explain what had happened, but Ventus cut him short. “I don’t want to hear it. Just go upstairs already!” he said. Vanitas rolled his eyes and scoffed at him. “Jeez, okay, okay, I’m going, Sergeant Killjoy! Good night.” he said as he walked upstairs and went to his room. Ventus then turned his attention to me. I don’t know what was worse. Having Vanitas give me a wedgie, or Ventus’ death stare. Ventus, or Ven, how we liked to call him, was the mature one, always looking out for me and Vanitas. “Well, isn’t it time you go to bed too?” Ven asked. “I just came down for a glass of milk.” I said to him. And so with that, I quickly served myself the glass of milk, drank it, and then left the glass in the sink. “Good night.” I said to Ven, giving him a hug, and then I turned around and headed upstairs. “Hey Roxas. Are you okay?” he asked me. I wanted to turn around and tell him what was up, but I decided to ignore the question and I headed towards my room. As soon as I opened the door to my room, I took a few seconds to go in. I was still thinking about the dream. After a few more seconds, I decided to dismiss my current thoughts. I closed the door and headed for bed. I needed to get some sleep for tomorrow. We were going to start high school tomorrow. A new school, new faces, tons of trouble, and a pack of evil students to complicate my existence. Whoop dee doo… I tossed and turned in bed, trying to get some sleep, but I felt restless. I hated when this happened. I then sat on my bed, looking at my alarm clock. It was now 4:00am. Great…just perfect. Only three and a half hours of sleep left before school. Well, for the heck of it, I just decided to take my IPad, which was on the night counter beside me, and I plugged my headphones in to listen to some music. I had a few songs here and there. Some from American bands and pop artists and some Japanese songs added in for good measure too. Since I didn’t know what song I wanted to put, I pressed shuffle, and then suddenly, Everything Goes Black from Skillet began to play. It was from their most recent album, Rise. One of my favorites by far. As I closed my eyes and listened to the rhythm of the guitar, bass and drums, the lyrics started to come in. “Chasing these shadows…around this darkened room…I’ve lain here so long I don’t even want to move…I need a minute now to heal…I need a minute now, to remember how to feel…whenever you’re gone away…the darkness hides the day…whenever you’re gone, the bleeding won’t stop…it hurts till you come back…everything goes black…everything goes black…” And just like that, I closed my eyes listening to the song, and I started to get sleepier. But instead of just sleeping, now I saw the faint, blurry image of a girl. The same girl from the same dream. “Huh, I guess I can’t help but dream of you. That figures.” I said to myself, giving in to the gentle calmness of sleep, finally managing to fall into a deep sleep. ---------------------------------------- Who is the mysterious girl from Roxas’ dreams? Why is it that he can’t stop having the same dream? That is an answer that Roxas himself does not know, but he’ll have to leave those thoughts be for now, for he, Ventus and Vanitas will start high school the next day. What will await them? Find out in Chapter One: “The First Day.” Well everyone, I hope that you all found this prologue to your liking! This story will have fifty chapters, so I hope you stick around and enjoy it, for I’ll be posting chapters as often as I can! Oh, and the story's perspective will shift from first person to third person views. Thank you all very much for reading the prologue, and make sure to post your comments on what you thought of it! Until next time, stay tuned for the next chapter everyone!
  19. I've just published my film/cinema review of Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron after seeing it in a three-way movie marathon with Avengers Assemble, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and finally Avengers: Age of Ultron! Hope you enjoy! You can see the review below or on my website via the link below. What do you think of the review? Any good? Fair? Comments are most welcome below, and on my website too. AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON andrew-hankinson.co.uk/film/ageofultron Hello and welcome to another one of my movie reviews. This is the big one! This is the film that I’ve been looking forward to probably the most in 2015 besides Star Wars (possibly)! I can’t contain my excitement for this film, so once again you are warned; spoilers will be present! The long anticipated IRON MAN 5…sorry, I mean AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON! Once again the team assemble for a film to fight the evil forces of Hydra; apparently they were all too busy to help out during Captain America: The Winter Soldier. What they weren’t prepared for were two new super-villains; the twins, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. And before Tony Stark realises it, Scarlet Witch plants an idea in his head that leads to the creation of Ultron; an artificially intelligent robot given life from Loki’s sceptre, who unfortunately has thought that destroying all of humanity is the key to it’s evolution. Ordinarily this wouldn’t be a problem for the Avengers, but Scarlet Witch (in association with Ultron) with mind control turns the team against each other, and it has become increasingly harder to fight Ultron together. As we watch Ultron’s evil plans unfold, we wonder who can stop him and learn not fret and not to swear gosh darn it! When my friends and I saw the offer to watch Avengers: Assemble, Captain America: Winter Soldier and Avengers: Age of Ultron (at midnight on the dot) on Wednesday 22nd of April at the Glasgow Science Centre IMAX for only £21, we immediately booked the seats a month in advance! I don’t think besides Alien, my friends and I have went to a movie marathon like this before, so were excited! Yes we all are going through the busiest time at college or university, but what the hey; it’s worth it!! The last time I was here was for Gravity and it was superb; isn’t as good on a TV screen, so was definitely hoping for the best for these three films. And it was brilliant! Our seats were in the middle to left so was a great view and I’m so grateful that they were comfortable and spacious because we had to sit in them for seven hours (exactly) to watch all three! The screen is massive to point that you don’t need 3D effects because you have to turn your head to see different parts of the film; I would say that the 3D effects made it more visually pleasing but would have been fine without them. And the sound…oh the sound! It made me shiver with joy hearing even the quieter sounds and made my palms sweat during the loud action packed scenes! Am I the only one whose palms sweat at the IMAX? Anyway, IMAX is by far my favourite cinema! I remember going to see Avengers: Assemble with friends at Kilmarnock Odeon back in 2012 and even although we feel cinemas are money snatchers when it comes to 3D viewings, we felt this film merited it! We had high expectations when we entered and were left gobsmacked once we had seen it; it was and still is one of my 10/10 films! And it was twice as brilliant at the IMAX; felt like I was seeing it for the first time especially when the bloody sceptre goes through Agent Coulson again. As far as Captain America: The Winter Soldier, it wasn’t as good as Avengers: Assemble, but was great seeing again on the big screen (click here to read my full review at Kilmarnock Odeon). On top of the three films, IMAX gave us all an exclusive A3 poster for free; pretty awesome (you can see it below). If you don’t know, you can actually purchase prelude comics for the Avenger films, which gives you a little background info before seeing the film. And when I say little I do mean little; but you do get your money’s worth since there are additional older comics added related to the film. This is the first time I’ve tried this but thought I should give it a go before Age of Ultron. After a whole comic depicting the events of Avengers: Assemble, the Age of Ultron prelude links with it and Winter Soldier mainly focusing on Baron Von Strucker/ Hydra’s work with Loki’s septre, Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch recruitment and how they gained their powers. The prelude ends with the after-credits scene in Winter Soldier, so not much info, but was kind of expected; it would have ruined the film if it gave too much away! Age of Ultron was brilliant! End of review! Only joking; there were one or two things I can be nit picky about but overall it was another gobsmacker. I was hoping to see more of Baron Von Strucker; not too much as this was Ultron’s film, but it would have been good to have seen him at least put up more of a fight. The whole relationship thing between Hulk and Black Widow came completely out of the blue and seemed rather forced. …And the Russian accents got a bit distracting. That’s it; lets get back to the good things about this film! So far Loki and the Winter Soldier have been the only villains so far in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to be any good, but I now I think Ultron has taken the top spot. His human-like reactions and comments were hilarious, the CGI was brilliant and the voice acting from James Spader was great too. I thought he could have maybe been slightly more fearful than humorous (especially at the moment after Quicksilver gets it), but nether-the-less he’s brilliant! I was wondering how much reference to Pinocchio there would be and I’m glad with the small amount they used. In any case Ultron’s character acted more like an evil twin of Tony Stark rather than his son. Now, coming back to the death of Quicksilver, it was inevitable that someone was going to die but Marvel ingeniously gave more backstory to Hawkeye than any other film he’s been in, consequently making us think he was going to be the first Avenger to be killed off. But nop! The Marvel universe decided to kill the unofficial member of the Avengers. I personally would liked to have seen more of him but I guess two Quicksilvers can’t be allowed to coincide in cinemas (his character is in X-Men too). Quick in, quick out. As surprises go, I did expect that Hawkeye would have survived, but I didn’t expect Vision appearance to be that great, as I hadn’t heard anything prior. I thought he was going to be a villain and then he was brilliantly deemed ‘worthy’ to be an Avenger; thought the party scene where the gang try to lift Thor’s hammer was just a funny little addition but acted as a reminder to the quote “Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor”. Everyone in the cinema was gasping, laughing or slightly clapping when Vision handed Thor his hammer. Stan Lee’s appearance at the party also got a few laughs and applause – as always Stan Lee is hilarious in his scenes. Now, I may be a total Marvel Universe geek and have seen all the previous films, but I personally think someone who’s inexperienced with the independent films or previous Avengers film would be able to understand the majority of Age of Ultron. All the character have a good portion of cinema time to show off who they are and their abilities; important info from the events of the first Avengers are stated, the ‘worthiness’ of the hammer is said subtly through the Avengers party scene, and other references to the previous films. I’d say it’s definitely better to watch after seeing the previous films to understand the little jokes and info (like Thanos, mentions of Jane and Pepper), but can be watched and understood without seeing previous films…but come on – who hasn’t at least watched Avengers: Assemble!? I had high expectations for Age of Ultron as I did for the first Avengers, but there was a part of me that wasn’t sure if it would beat it, but I was wrong. I left overly satisfied with it and have come to conclusion that it is not a lesser film to Avengers: Assemble, but in fact equal to it! At the end of the film (before the credits) Captain America says, “Avengers…A…” and obviously what he was about to say was “Avengers…assholes!” which will start Captain America: Civil War releasing on the 29th April 2016! Of course we stayed for the after credits scenes; we sat for seven hours (exactly) so weren’t giving up there. The first clip was of Thanos grabbing the infinity gauntlet and saying, “Fine, I’ll do it myself.” He couldn’t get the staff so looks like he’ll be getting off his backside and finally doing something. My only thought is what will happen to Vision when/if Thanos nicks the yellow infinity stone from his head!? I’m concerned he won’t make it. We heard before that there was nothing at the very end but stayed anyway, and there was something; a message saying that the Avengers will return…really!? Had no idea! Before then the next few Marvel films we’ve got are Antman; another addition to the Marvel Universe on the 17th July 2015. Then two 20th Century Fox films: the Fantastic Four remake on 4th August 2015, and Deadpool (rated 15, minimum) on 12th February 2016. The next Avengers film is unofficially Captain America: Civil War, but officially is Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 set to release on 27th April 2018. It’s then we’ll hopefully see all the current members of the Avengers again and a few additional heroes including the Guardians of the Galaxy probably. So far only four out of the six infinity stones (which fit in Thanos’ Infinity Gauntlet) have been revealed: the Tesseract (Captain America: The First Avenger), the Aether (Thor: The Dark World), the purple stone (Guardians of the Galaxy) and the yellow stone (in Vision’s head). I’m going to predict that the next two will be revealed in either Thor: Ragnarok, Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and/or Infinity Wars Part 1. The IMAX cinema is the best; loud sound, massive screen, good seats – brilliant! How many times is Marvel Comics going to beat DC Comics; the Arkham Knight game does look amazing, but wasn’t overly enthused with the new Batman vs. Superman trailer. Marvel is becoming unbeatable in the film front and I’m not as bothered about Batman vs. Superman as I was when it was first announced. Anyway, Avengers: Assemble – my hundredth time watch and still AMAZING; Captain America: The Winter Soldier – not as amazing but still great; and Avengers: Age of Ultron – ULTRA AMAZING! Now need to wait…or go and see it again before it finishes at cinemas! Until next time, Avengers A… GLASGOW SCIENCE CENTRE IMAX – 10/10! AVENGERS: ASSEMBLE – 10/10! CAPTAIN AMERICA: WINTER SOLDIER – 8/10 AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON – 10/10! I also have a whole selection of other reviews below if you're interested as well: The LEGO Movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier The Amazing Spiderman 2 Maleficent Guardians of the Galaxy Doctor Who – Deep Breath What We Did On Our Holiday It’s A Wonderful Life Kingsman: The Secret Service Children of Men Big Hero 6
  20. The Jedi are no more, and the Empire rules most of the galaxy. A platoon of Stormtroopers led by Lord Vader's right hand man named Starkiller is sent on a mission to an industrial-city planet that has only minor influence of Rebel activity. The Stormtroopers are there to ensure that order is maintained on that planet, but Starkiller signs out because the Empire is using rather questionable methods to maintain that order. For most of the story, Starkiller is a known fugitive to the Empire, and escapes to Tattoine and meets a gang of separatists (not really a part of the rebels but they still disagree with The Empire). The general tone of the story, is that it would take place in the middle of the Empire Vs Rebels conflict and will explore how the galaxy reacts to the events of Epsode 4. I would love to hear some criticism and opinions on this story.
  21. Hey guys. So before you read this chapter I wanna get this off my chest. A few ideas I got into making this story was from a speculation made by the youtubers HMK and SkyWardWing. Other than their ideas, the rest are mine. So without further ado, I give you chapter 5. (Took me a long time to come up with this one.) By the way, please leave a comment on anything really. I want to know if there are any concerns or any likes. Enjoy. The only people there were Masters Kairi, Ventus, Roxas, Namine, Xion and Lea. Even though there were four people missing, the meeting was louder and more extreme than any other. “Why does that old man Yen Sid always has some sort of secrets behind his back?” asked Lea with rage. “That’s not the point of this meeting Lea!” cried Roxas. “The point is to know everything about the third student so that we could get some clues on where to find him!” “Sora, Riku and Terra already left to see if they could find him,” said Xion trying to keep calm. “But what if they don’t?!” screamed Lea. “That’s the very reason of this meeting Lea,” said Namine. “While they’re gone, we’ll be discussing if whether or not we can find him, before anything bad happens.” Everyone was quiet for at least a minute until Kairi asked, “Roxas, did happen to find anything in Xehanort’s Reports?” “Nothing,” he replied. “The only thing I could hope is for Sora and the others to find him.” “Who is this person anyway? Are there other things we know about him, besides that he was students with Eraqus and Xehanort?” asked Xion. With a voice as though he had failed miserably, Roxas replied, “All I know is that I saw something when I was travelling in the Lanes Between. I saw this bright light and I went to investigate it. As soon as I got close to it, I found myself in the Keyblade Graveyard.” Everyone at this point gasped as soon as he mentioned the very place where Xehanort was vanquished. “In the distance, I saw something,” said Roxas. “I saw man wearing mostly white clothes, but he was far away, so I couldn’t see his face. All of a sudden, I saw an entire army appear right behind him in the blink of an eye. After that, I saw a huge light and I found myself here in Radiant Garden.” Once again, everyone was silent and were not sure what to even think of all this. Namine then asks, “Ventus, what did Yen Sid tell you exactly?” “All he told me was something known as a Mal…” He was interrupted when suddenly, they all heard the alarm, but not before hearing a huge explosion. “They’re here!” cried Ventus. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Spero closed his eyes while he was walking through the bright portal. Master Aqua told him that he could open his eyes and once he did, he found himself in Traverse Town. It was very peaceful and it almost seemed as though they were the only people there. “Students,” said Master Aqua. “You might be asking yourselves if people actually live here. Well this world used to be a refuge to those who had lost their home worlds. But since all the worlds were back to normal, all of their inhabitants returned home. For two years, this place was empty until your fathers, Spero and Aurum, took their Mark of Mastery Exam with the help of the Dream Eaters. Ever since, the Dream Eaters decided to live here in peace. This is why we’re here, to find the Dream Eaters.” “What do you mean by ‘find’ mum?” asked Amare. “Well the Dream Eaters do have a habit of playing hide and seek,” she replied. “I want the three of you to find your Spirits.” The students were very confused by this. “Everyone has their own Spirit,” said Master Aqua. “The Spirits are the Dream Eaters that protect your dreams from the Nightmares, the counterparts of the Spirits.” The four of them then saw a Spirit heading there way. Master Aqua said that that Spirit was known as a Meow Wow. Amare just couldn’t resist going aww and she opened up her arms as she saw the Spirit jumping and waiting for her to catch it. As she caught it, the Spirit didn’t stop licking her until she let go it. Aurum felt something behind him and he saw a Kooma Panda. The giant Spirit gave him a big bear hug, making him lose his breath. Spero noticed a purple cat with a music note for a tail cheerfully running towards him. As soon as the feline stopped, he petted the happy Dream Eater. “Okay students,” said Aqua. “Set out and find your Spirits. By the way, you’ll know which Spirit is yours once you find it.” The three of them ran off together into the Second District searching for their Spirits. “Sora,” said Aqua. “I hope I’m buying you enough time.”
  22. Bleh, sorry for the totally original title...never really posted here before, but I started writing this story and I thought it was turning out pretty good so far. Figured I'd try my hand and share it here to see what everyone thought! Now, I understand some of my ideas are very unlikely and I do my best with the characters, but that doesn't mean I'll get their personalities spot on, so please try to over look that. ^^; Anyway, enjoy! Chapter 1: The brunette let out a battle cry as he jumped high into the air, before bringing his Keyblade down onto the final Heartless that stood in the arena, the creature disappearing into thick tendrils of shadows. The teen panted softly, reaching a hand up to wipe the sweat from his brow, a small frown marring his features. His blue eyes scanned the arena carefully for anymore contenders. It didn’t seem like anyone else wanted to challenge him for the moment. “Looks like that’s all for today! Why don’t you call it a day, Mr. Junior Hero?” A voice called from the stands. The brunette nodded slightly to the Satyr and offered a tired grin, before hopping off of the platform and heading back towards the lobby. His blue eyes drifted to stare at the ground though, the grin falling away fairly quickly. There was a time when he would snap at Phil for calling him a ‘Junior Hero’, but after everything that happened during the Master Qualification Exam, he felt as if that was the only title appropriate for him. He had failed the exam, after all. He had let the darkness get too close to his heart. He had almost become Xehanort’s thirteenth vessel. The teen couldn’t help but wince at the very idea of that happening. “Sora.” Sora blinked, looking up quickly. In front of him stood someone fairly familiar and he smiled weakly at the translucent Nobody. He should’ve been used to this by now, he thought. After the exam, Roxas had begun talking to him through some kind of telepathic link and even occasionally manifesting to speak to him directly. Over the last few weeks, they had gotten to know each other well, Sora thought. And it was nice to have someone to talk to since he ran off alone, leaving Riku and the others back at Master Yen Sid’s tower. “You’re brooding about the exam again.” Roxas said matter-of-factly. Sora groaned, slouching dramatically. Apparently Roxas had no trouble reading his thoughts and feelings. “Well, I am your Nobody. It’s not too hard to do.” The Nobody teased, crossing his arms over his chest. “You could at least try to be more discreet about it or something.” Sora complained, rubbing the back of his head. “I guess I am thinking about it again. Sorry.” He sighed, sliding down the wall so that he was sitting with his knees up to his chest. “I’m glad Riku became a Master. I just…thought for sure I could do the same. Maybe I was too eager or too sure of myself. Because I’ve saved the worlds…did I let it go to my head?” Roxas watched the boy, frowning a bit. Sora had been so unsure of himself lately. He didn’t like this Sora at all. “I don’t think you let it go to your head. But Xehanort set a trap that you couldn’t really avoid didn’t he?” Roxas scratched his cheek thoughtfully. “There’s a lot of hurt inside of you Sora. A lot of it isn’t even yours. But when Xehanort caught onto it, he was able to use it all against you. That hurt dragged you down into the darkness, because you didn’t know how to handle it. You didn’t even know where it came from.” “Right. All those people I saw…” Sora murmured. He closed his eyes, recalling the many faces he had run into. Some were familiar, while others were completely new to him. “I saw you too. But you say you weren’t there.” Sora looked up at Roxas and frowned. They had discussed this once already and Roxas had insisted that he had never appeared before Sora during the exam. He had no doubt it was just another phantom that Xehanort had conjured up. But… “The hurt that I felt from that Roxas…it was too real. The memories too…those were real. You’ve suffered a lot. Too much.” “I…do hurt.” Roxas admitted, closing his eyes and slipping his hands into his pockets. “I could never try and say otherwise. You’ve felt it for yourself. I’ve lost my friends; I’ve lost my own existence. And I can’t remember who it was I forgot, but…I know someone’s missing in my memories. That hurts too, because I know that person was another special friend to me.” “I’m sorry.” Sora mumbled, looking away from the Nobody. He knew that Roxas losing his existence was his fault. But Roxas never seemed to really hold it against him. “I saw others too. There was Namine and this other girl that wore one of the Organization’s robes. And…there were these two older people that called me Ven.” Sora explained, looking at Roxas as if he held the answers. “What do they want me to do? What if they were trying to tell me something for real? What if it wasn’t just something Xehanort made up?” “Like I told you before, I think it’s hurt that exists inside of you, but doesn’t belong to you. He just found a way to drag it to the surface and use it against you.” Roxas repeated. “But the question is what are you going to do about all that hurt? You know there are people suffering, so are you going to help them? Or are you going to keep traveling around the worlds, moping about the exam?” The blonde asked. Sora frowned at that. “I don’t even know most of these people. It’s not that I don’t want to help them, but how do I even go about it?” He asked, his hands clenching at the material of his pants. The fact that there were people hurting and he couldn’t help them…now that bothered him. He felt downright guilty. “What do I do?” “Well, you won’t find the answers here. Maybe it’s time you head back to see your friends. You don’t have to do this alone, right? And you’ve been gone for what, two or three months?” Sora sighed and nodded slightly. That was true. But he had felt ashamed of his attitude towards failing the exam and so he thought it was best to stay away. “Staying away from your friends won’t solve anything. You’re better off heading back and coming clean to them. Your friends are your greatest power. Didn’t you say that yourself?” “You’re right.” Sora mumbled softly, staring down at his hands. “But you…stop reading my thoughts and using them against me!” Sora whined suddenly, making the blonde laugh. He couldn’t help but smile at the sound though. He didn’t hear Roxas laugh near enough, in his opinion. Slowly, Sora pushed himself up off the ground and dusted himself off, offering his Nobody a grin. “Thanks for everything Roxas. I think it’s time we head back.” “There’s not much else for me to do but kick your sorry butt into gear.” Roxas teased, but he gave his other half a slight smile. By now, he had made it his mission to be there for Sora when no one else could be and he was glad that he seemed to be doing something right. Sora gave him a sheepish grin, before running out through the doors of the Coliseum and towards the World Exit, leaving Roxas to fade away. “I’m going to help everyone Roxas. Somehow.” Sora whispered softly, knowing that Roxas would still be able to hear him from within his heart. “That includes you. You deserve to be your own person and you will be.” The brunette could feel a comforting warmth from within himself that he knew had to be Roxas and he nodded in determination. *** "Whatever you said, it seemed to help. His heart feels lighter. He said he was going back to his friends, didn't he?" "Yeah." Roxas confirmed, looking over at the boy that sat on the edge of one of the stained glass pillars. This was the space that seemed to represent Sora's heart, or so that's what the other had said at one time. Sighing, Roxas walked over and took a seat next to the other boy, his legs dangling from the edge of the pillar. "He said he wants to help us." "If anyone can, it'll be him. Don't you think?" The boy turned to look at Roxas and the Nobody had to remind himself once again that he wasn't looking into a mirror. He just couldn't get used to how much they looked alike. The other boy seemed to notice his surprise and laughed. "Shut up Ven!" Roxas snapped, shoving the other boy lightly, but it was done so in a playful manner. He laughed softly himself and looked down to the black abyss below. "Honestly, I don't know what to think. I want to believe that it's possible, but is it really? Your heart is just trapped here, so you can be freed I think. But my heart's not really mine. Is it?" That was what he had been led to believe. He was required for Sora to wake up before, so what would happen if he separated from Sora once again? Wouldn't his other half just fall back into slumber? "I don't believe any of that. You and Sora have your similarities, sure, but you're not completely alike. If you had the same heart, it'd stand to reason that you'd be like a reflection of one another, right?" Ven spoke wisely, humming thoughtfully. "Your hearts reflect your experiences. Sora is so carefree, kind, and strong in matters of the heart. But he also keeps the darkness at an arm’s length, especially after what happened during his exam. You on the other hand are more serious and a bit more level headed. Not to mention I don't think the darkness intimidates you. Oh, and you're mean." The last part was said teasingly and earned the Keyblade Wielder a playful punch on the shoulder. "Very funny." Roxas laughed out, looking up where some unknown source of light shined down on them. "Maybe you're right though. Who knows?" The Nobody folded his arms behind his head and laid back. "What about you Ven? How do you feel about the darkness?" Roxas asked suddenly. The question seemed to make Ven nervous though and the normally optimistic teen lowered his head suddenly. "Me? I'm...terrified of it." The teen whispered softly, almost as if he were ashamed. As a Keyblade Wielder, it was his job to fight the darkness and stand strong against it. At one time he could have, in fact, he did. But after everything that had happened back then, his resolve had crumbled away. "It scares me to death. I've tried to face up to it; I really have, but..." "Really? You dove in so quick to save Sora from that nightmare. Could've fooled me." It was the Nobody's best attempt to comfort the other, but without knowing the whole story, it was pretty hard to do. Ven smiled weakly and nodded slightly. "If it's to help a friend, I'll do anything." Ven admitted, wringing his hands together nervously. "The darkness is why I'm here. It's why my heart was shattered." Ven spoke softly, glancing over at Roxas. Maybe it was because they were more or less in the same kind of situation, but Ven really felt comfortable talking to his look-alike. "Actually, it was because of my darkness." "What's that mean?" Roxas pressed, sitting up again and shifting so that he was now sitting cross-legged, fully turned towards Ven. Ven never really talked about himself, more content to listen to all of Roxas' woes and reassure the Nobody. Maybe it was Roxas' turn to finally return the favor. "W-Well, a long time ago, I was Xehanort's apprentice." Ven said meekly, waiting for Roxas to snap or pass some sort of judgement, but to his surprise, Roxas remained silent and only nodded for him to continue. "He wanted me to use the darkness within myself, but I couldn't do it. He set me up against some powerful Heartless and I lost. After that, Xehanort used his Keyblade to separate all the darkness inside of me and it created and entirely different person. Vanitas." At the name, Ven seemed to become grim, even fearful. "My heart is completely free of darkness because of what Xehanort did. His goal was to have Vanitas and I clash." "All that just to have you fight? But why?" Roxas asked curiously, taking in all the information he could. All this time he had wondered what Ven's story was and now he was finally getting some answers. Ven frowned and lowered his head again. "To create the X-Blade. I'm still not completely sure what its purpose is or why he wants it. But in order to create it, a heart of pure light must clash with a heart of darkness. And we did. The X-Blade was created, but just enough of my heart resisted to keep it incomplete. Our hearts fought and mine won in the end, but at a price; when the X-Blade's destroyed, the hearts the created it are shattered as well." Ven explained it all carefully, sighing heavily. "That's how I came to find Sora. He joined my heart with his to keep me from disappearing." "I didn't know. Sorry Ven." Roxas rubbed his neck awkwardly, unsure of what else to say. Ven only shook his head and stared down into the dark abyss below, kicking his feet a bit. Suddenly, a thought popped into Roxas' head. "Hey, I have an idea! Let's make a promise." Ven lifted his head and looked at Roxas curiously. "A promise?" He wondered, turning to mimic Roxas' own sitting position. He rested his hands on his crossed legs and tilted his head a bit. "What promise?" "The next time I go to see Sora, I want you to come with me." The Nobody insisted, leaning forward a bit. "You've been here for so long, it's about time you two meet." Ven raised his hands as if in surrender and shook his head. "I can't do that! How do you appear in front of someone and explain that you've been living in their heart for 10 or more years?" The Keyblade Wielder shook his head frantically. "That's got to be invasion of privacy or something. Right?" "Come on, I know Sora won't care. It would answer one of his questions and give him a little more determination I think. He wants to help us all so bad and knowing who it is he's helping is always a good start. Besides, you haven't heard the rest of the promise." Roxas gave Ven a reassuring smile and the other teen slouched in defeat. "If you do that for me and for Sora, I promise that if we are able to separate from Sora I’ll do everything in my power to protect you from the darkness." Ven's entire body snapped to attention and he looked at Roxas with wide eyes. Protection from the darkness? "Why? I mean, I can't let you..." Ven stammered over his words, trying to calm the raging storm of emotions and thoughts that were going wild. "Roxas..." "It's like you said, I'm not afraid of the darkness. So if there's ever someone out there that you're scared of or someone you know you can't fight on your own, I'll be right there to fight for you. Besides, it has to be scary to face the darkness when your heart is full of nothing but light, right?" Roxas leaned over and rested a hand on Ven's shoulder, smiling a bit. "You've been here for me all through this. All this time I've been here in Sora's heart, you've reassured me and protected me from my own demons. And you did the same for Sora during his exam. So on the outside, it'll be my turn to protect you." Ven smiled a true smile, practically tackling the Nobody down into a hug. "It’s a promise!" He said quickly, closing his eyes and fighting back a few tears. It had been so long since he had felt any kind of real hope and so long since he felt cared for, loved even. Roxas had no idea how much it meant to him. "Thank you!" Roxas looked surprised when he was knocked onto his back and even more surprised by the embrace, but he didn't hesitate to return the gesture. He smiled slightly, choosing not to comment on the tears soaking through his shirt. "Hey, we're friends, right? Friends look out for one another." He whispered soothingly, rubbing Ven's back lightly as the other teen's shoulders shook. "All of this...we'll get through it together. You, me, Sora, and all of his friends. You'll see." *** Sora stared up at the tower that loomed over him; Yen Sid's tower. He fidgeted nervously, trying to gather up the courage to enter. It seemed like forever since he had seen his friends, though three months hardly seemed like a life changing amount of time. But that didn't mean his friends wouldn't be angry with him. He had warned them that he was leaving though, so would that really be fair of them? Groaning in frustration and anxiety the brunette took a deep breath and pressed forward. He pushed the wooden door open and looked up the long, winding staircase with a sense of dread, though most of the dread was directed at having to climb the stairs to begin with. Sure, he was in great shape, but the stairs were still exhausting. Grumbling to himself, he began the long trek up the stairs, mumbling all the while. "They should put a lift in here. Seriously, a magical lift can't be that difficult. Or just make the stairs move, like an escalator. Yeah, that'd be good." He ranted, not at all worrying that it seemed he was talking to himself. The amusement that practically oozed from the Nobody within himself proved otherwise. "Sure, you find it funny now. Just wait until I find a way to separate us and you have to walk up these things. You'll complain too." "Sora?" The brunette froze suddenly, looking towards the top of the stair case where a familiar silver-haired teen stood. "Riku!" Sora grinned, suddenly feeling a sense of joy at seeing his best friend after those three months. All of his anxiety washed away and he ran the rest of the way up the stairs to see his friend. Once he reached the top though, he was surprised to find himself pulled into a hug. "Huh? Riku?" "We were worried about you Sora. Going off on your own and then not even trying to contact us...we thought something happened." Riku frowned, pulling back and looking at his long-time friend seriously. Sora was like a little brother to him, so it had hurt not to hear from him, not knowing if he was okay. "Where did you go Sora?" "I'm sorry." Sora apologized immediately, looking at his friend guiltily. "I just traveled all around, training and thinking. I had a lot on my mind." He tried to explain, rubbing his arm nervously. "Everything that happened during the exam just really bothered me and I had to get my head straightened out before I could help you guys." "You should've said something. You know I would've helped you." Riku scolded softly, letting out a sigh and crossing his arms. He had known Sora wasn't really okay with failing the exam, despite how much the brunette had insisted otherwise. Riku liked to think he knew his friend better than that. "Do you want to talk about it?" "Yeah, I'll tell you everything Riku, I promise. But I have something I want to ask Yen Sid first. It's about Roxas." The brunette explained, rubbing the back of his neck. "Actually, Roxas is the one who convinced me to come back here. We've been talking a lot since I left." "Talking to Roxas? That's possible?" Riku asked, suddenly looking thoughtful. When he had been working with Diz, he was told that Roxas would return to Sora and essentially become Sora himself. That is, Roxas would return to being whole, therefore he could be no one but Sora. But Sora spoke as if Roxas was still a separate entity. Was it possible? Did...Roxas have his own heart, completely different from Sora's after all? When they had battled all that time ago, he had believed so, but Diz insisted it was just a memory of how he once was and that Nobodies couldn't feel anything. Riku was a fool to believe that. "Yeah. I didn't know until after the exam. I was feeling pretty bummed out and he just suddenly appeared to talk to me. I mean, it's more like he's a ghost, I guess, but he was there for me the entire time I was away. He really picked me up and now I want to help him. There has to be a way. That's what I want to ask Yen Sid." Sora looked so determined, his eyes narrowed and his lips in a firm line. His resolve didn’t waver in the least. That made Riku smirk a bit. Now that was the Sora he knew. "You mean you want to see about letting him be his own person, right?" Riku asked. Sora nodded, looking at his friend. "Well, lucky for you while you were slacking off, we've been looking into that." The Keyblade Master teased, ruffling his friend's hair and turning towards the door that would lead them into Yen Sid's chamber. "We might have just the answer you're looking for Sora." Sora huffed, fixing his hair quickly, before he looked at Riku with wide, surprised eyes. "Really? You guys figured something out?" Sora asked excitedly. He could feel excitement and joy well up inside of him, feelings that he knew didn't belong to him. Smiling slightly, he placed a hand over his heart comfortingly. "Hear that Roxas? There is a chance." He reassured softly. "Keep in mind, we don't know if it'll work and from the sounds of it, it's pretty complicated. But it's the only thing we have to work with right now." The Keyblade Master was glad to see Sora hopeful, but he also didn't want him to get his hopes up too high only to be crushed in the end. "There's a lot of work that goes into it and--" "Riku, it's okay!" Sora interrupted, crossing his arms behind his head in his usual carefree manner, a grin on his face. "It's a start and a step in the right direction. That's all we're looking for right now." Sora snickered when Riku looked at him incredulously. "'We're looking for'?" Riku repeated, though he had a feeling he knew who Sora was referring to. "Can you do me a favor? Thank Roxas for getting your lazy butt motivated." He laughed quietly when Sora's face changed to one of annoyance, before he went into full blown pouting. Apparently Roxas heard that loud and clear. "Shut up Roxas!" Sora whined out loud, groaning when he heard his Nobody laughing in the back of his mind. "He can hear you Riku. Man, why'd you have to get him started?" The brunette complained, though it was done so in good humor. Really, Sora wished Roxas would laugh more often. It was a nice sound and so sincere, he thought. "Ah, whatever. Let's go talk to Yen Sid." Riku nodded in agreement and pushed the door open. Not much had changed. Yen Sid was sitting at the desk, currently speaking to Mickey about something or another that seemed rather serious. Meanwhile, Lea sat to the side in a wooden chair, leaning back precariously on its back legs. And he was talking to someone rather familiar to Sora. "K-Kairi?!" The brunette sputtered, clearly surprised to see the girl. Everyone immediately stopped what they were doing and turned their attention to Sora. Kairi seemed more than pleased to see the Keyblade Wielder, immediately walking over and smiling softly. "I knew you'd come back." She said softly, wrapping her arms around his neck in a gentle hug. Sora immediately returned the embrace, smiling slightly. "We were getting worried. But I'm glad you're here now." Kairi stepped back, but not before kissing the brunette's cheek. Sora fought back a blush and smiled sheepishly, rubbing his neck with a weak laugh. "I'm surprised to see you Kairi." He admitted, looking around the room. Everyone seemed happy and relieved to see him, which only made him feel guilty. "I'm really sorry I worried everyone. I had some things I needed to sort out, but I'm back. I'm ready to help however I can." Sora clenched his fists and nodded determinedly. "Well, gosh Sora. Did you think that because you didn't pass the exam we wouldn't need your help? You still have an important part to play; we all do. We have to keep our hearts strong and stick together." Mickey said, looking up at the teen with a smile. Just like everyone else, he was glad to see Sora had returned safe. "Next time you decide to run off though, at least send us a postcard or something. You know, we like to know you're still breathing at least." Lea smirked when Sora made a face at him. "Seriously though, at least let us know where exactly you're going. Would've been nice to be able to check up on you now and then." "I am glad you've finally returned Sora." Yen Sid said suddenly, silencing everyone else. Sora immediately stood at attention, looking at Yen Sid seriously. The Wizard stroked his beard in thought, closing his eyes thoughfully. "I certainly hope you've managed to sort everything out. From here on out you will need to remain strong for yourself and for others if we are to defeat Xehanort. But enough about that for now. You have questions, do you not?" "Yes sir." Sora nodded, thinking over what he wanted to ask carefully. He had more than one question he needed an answer to. "Well, for one, I want to know about some things I saw during the exam." He started, looking down at the floor. "When I was trapped in the Nightmare, I saw all kinds of people and I knew they were hurting. I saw Roxas and Namine, those two I know. But then I saw some other people. First, there was this girl wearing one of the Organization robes with black hair. Then there was this big guy with brown hair and a girl with blue hair...they called me Ven. I felt so sad when I heard that name. And I could hear the pain in their voices when they said it. Do you know who they are?" "I do not know the girl in the Organization robe that you speak of. However, I believe that Mickey and I both know of the others you speak of; Terra, the man who succumbed to darkness and became Master Xehanort's vessel. Aqua, the young Keyblade Master that disappeared years ago after her friends had fallen. And young Ventus, the boy that lost his heart during the conflict with Master Xehanort so long ago." Yen Sid explained slowly, staring at Sora with a critical eye. "None of these individuals have been heard from in over ten years and Terra is the only one that we truly know the location of. Though, we have our suspicions about Ventus." “Ven was a special friend of mine. We didn’t get to know one another for very long, but we had a lot in common at the time. And from the first time I met him, I knew there was something special about his heart.” Mickey piped up, looking sad suddenly. “What happened to him and what happened to his friends wasn’t fair. They all had bright futures ahead of them. But Xehanort took that away from them.” “What happened to them?” Sora asked softly. He wanted the whole story if he could get it. If there was any clue as to how he could help them later on or give them a clue to where they may be, he wanted to know. “They were tricked by Xehanort. However, for the sake of your heart and those that sleep inside of you, I believe that is all we should say for now.” Yen Sid stated, shaking his head when it looked as if Sora may protest. “You must understand Sora the hurt that these individuals have faced is truly painful. We worry that it could potentially damage your heart if it is triggered in the wrong way.” The brunette still didn’t seem to understand, but judging by the seriousness in the Wizard’s voice it was a topic best left silent. “O-Okay…” He agreed, rubbing the back of his head nervously. “Well the last question I have for now is: do you think there’s a way that Roxas and I can separate from one another? You know, so he can be his own person.” “Actually, we just might!” Mickey said, almost excitedly. The little King reached into his pocket and pulled out a small shard, holding it up to the light for them all to see. It was a deep jade, glittering prettily in the light. “This right here.” “It’s called a Memory Shard.” Riku explained, noticing the brunette’s dumbfounded look. “We’ve been doing a lot of investigating since you left. Master Yen Sid has a lot of old books around and we found some legends about these shards and their connections with Keyblade Wielders.” “It turns out that if you five or more of these things together and then they come into contact with the person whose memories they represent, they can actually open a sort of doorway to that person’s heart.” Lea took his turn in the explanation, looking at Sora seriously. Of course he had taken a deep interest in this investigation when he heard what it could possibly do in the end. After all, he had a promise to fulfill; he’d bring Roxas back somehow. “And when they come into contact with a Keyblade Wielder, they have the power to create an object that is close to their heart: their Keyblade.” Yen Sid finished. Of course they all knew Sora wouldn’t catch on so easily, but the teen was obviously doing his best to understand what they were getting at. So they could get Roxas’ Keyblade? How did that help? Kairi smiled a bit at the lost look on Sora’s face and rested her hand on his shoulder. “A person’s Keyblade has a direct connection with its master’s heart. Now that Riku has the power to awaken sleeping hearts, he can use the Keyblade that’s created to release Roxas’ heart from inside of you without damaging your heart.” “Even though your hearts may be separated, it doesn’t mean your connection with Roxas will fade away. The two of you will still be connected and in a sense you’ll rely on each other. But gosh, if you’re already becoming such good friends, it shouldn’t be a problem.” Mickey walked closer and grabbed Sora’s hand, pushing the shard into his hand. The second the shard touched his hand, it began to glow with a blinding light and a sharp pain split through the brunette’s head. His hands immediately went to his head and he tried to get some kind of words out, but he couldn’t seem to form any coherent thoughts. “No way! I wanna go with you guys!” “You’re awful Aqua…” “Were you also ordered to take me home?” “I’m gonna go find Terra.” “Terra…Aqua…don’t do this. Please don’t leave me behind.” Sora let out a yell as he finally managed to uncurl his fingers from around the shard, letting it fall to the floor. He stumbled back, panting hard as the pain in his head slowly died away. Riku was behind him, holding him steady while everyone watched him with a mix of worry and wonder. “W-What was that…?” He asked shakily, blinking wildly in an attempt to clear the spots that danced along his vision. “The Memory Shards are created when a strong heart experiences some form of strong emotion. Happiness, anger, hatred, even grief can create these small shards. They react when they come into contact with their creator and are able to remind people of what they were feeling at that time.” Yen Sid watched Sora with a critical eye, glancing between him and the shard. “I found that shard in Radiant Garden not too long ago when we found some of the books on the Memory Shards. Excavating these things isn’t easy, but it’s usually pretty easy to tell when they’re near. The Heartless are drawn to them, so they gather in large groups when one is nearby.” Mickey explained, picking the shard up once more. “Maybe I should hang on to it for right now though. Don’t want you going through anymore of those spells. So what did you see Sora?” “I didn’t see anything.” Sora steadied himself, smiling reassuringly to Riku who finally let his hand drop away. “I heard a voice. He sounded…upset and scared, like he was afraid that his friends were going to leave him behind. He was talking about Terra and Aqua.” Mickey let out a small, hopeful laugh, his ears perking up as he looked back at Yen Sid. “Talking about Terra and Aqua! Then that has to be…?” “Hm…it would seem so.” Yen Sid nodded his head, looking at Sora seriously. “It seems we have finally found Ventus’ heart.” *** Well, that's the end of that chapter! I really hope you all enjoy it and thanks for reading!
  23. Introduction There are things i like and don't like about the Kingdom Hearts series. The things i do like are the concepts of the overall Keyblade War Mythos and stuff like Organization XIII. What urks me the wrong way though are the Disney characters, because i feel that they stick out like a soar thumb what with the serious storyline and epic battles. What i am gonna do with this story is im going to take elements from Kingdom Hearts, remove the Disney stories and make my own story with elements from Tetsuya Nomura's works. Think Garfield Minus Garfield, but Kingdom Hearts Minus Disney.
  24. INDEX: The World of Kingdom Hearts Yggdrasil, The World Tree: Believed to be the source of all life, at the core of it is supposed to be an entity of pure light known as Kingdom Hearts. Yggdrasil contains 9 worlds, two of which have been discovered so far. Travel between those nine worlds is extremely difficult and requires individuals who've trained for many, many years in harsh environments.
  25. SYNOPSIS Taking place mostly on Radiant Garden/Hollow Bastion after the Keyblade War, and centers around three veterans of the war. The story is mostly intended to be a deconstruction/reconstruction of Kingdom Hearts tropes. Like for example, the wide-eyed idealist character, after the war becomes a mercenary for hire. What do you guys think?
