  1. Hey everyone, its the lovable fire type fox here. And after a recent writers block, and a dozen hours of boredom with my current story. I decided to dabble in poetry. And I fell in love with it. No offense to anyone that's been reading my story, but I just found poetry to be more fun. So anyways, this poem is about a writer who has a pen. Well, I'll save the rest of the details for the poem. Find it in the spoiler below. Yes, I got the last line from Birth By Sleep, sue me. I want to thank everyone for coming around, and if you are interested, well I might continue on.
  2. Hey, guys! It's been a pretty long time since I posted anything at all in this subforum. I had this idea in my head for a long time, and I had the sudden urge to just write about it. The premise isn't that original, as it deals with fictional characters being brought to the real world although I want to make it play out differently than a lot of other stories/shows out there. As for anyone who ever cared/read about Path of Darkness, I've canned it. I decided there were too many inconsistencies with the main plot of KH Union X/Back Cover for me to continue the story the way it was. I'm going to wait for that chapter to end before I ever continue that, or maybe even reboot it since I think a majority of the story was rushed (ironic considering I went on long hiatuses) and bad. Without any further delay, I guess I'll just start it up. Prologue Please...listen to my story. Well, I guess it's more like the intersection of multiple stories at once. At first, I had no idea how it came to be. Everything had just happened so quickly and unexpectedly. Yet, by the time it was over, it felt like things had never been different in the first place. The only thing I remember feeling at the beginning was...emptiness. As the lights flashed on, everything fell silent. The stars were out, marking the presence of a new night to relax through. The hum of a PlayStation 4's cooler was all that was heard throughout the room. The blinds were down, so that the owner's privacy would never be invaded (just in case). The vent for his house's air conditioning was rusted up, preventing the cool air from traveling through the rooms. To alleviate this issue, the owner's mother bought him a portable air conditioner and connected the tubes to his window. Now, it sits in his room, operating at 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The owner sighed and fell flat on his bed, a king-sized mess with brown sheets crumpled up and scattered across the mattress, haphazardly put together. The pillows, oddly enough, remained in place where they should be (although they had no covers, leaving them exposed). The cardboard box for a gaming keyboard the room's owner ordered lies on the floor, next to his bed still half-open. The owner was a boy, around seventeen years old, and not quite grown up. He had messy dark brown hair, as he never combed his hair (or never even knew how to). His brown eyes stared at the light above him, as he pondered his day and life in general. His clothes are nothing special; he's only wearing a blue t-shirt and white shorts. He's growing a belly, but he's still fairly skinny and light for his age. "Man...another useless day at school." He rolled over on the bed and picked up the controller that sat next to him, firmly placed on the bed. "Guess I should be happy summer vacation's coming." Immediately, he navigated the PlayStation 4's menu and opened up Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX to play KH2FM. He had just gotten to the final boss, but had to put the PS4 in Rest Mode. Thankfully, the console saved his place in the fight. He had gone through the fight multiple times already, so he knew what he was in for. He knew that the 2.5 version of the fight was broken, as the Reaction Commands at the start of the fight did not work sometimes. He vehemently wished that Square Enix would fix this. "Sora!" "Riku!" Finally. Not only had he finished the game, but he had also just finished a Platinum run of the game, something he felt proud of. The ending animation played out more or less the same. Or so he thought. A blinding light began to emanate from the distant horizon. It came closer and closer to Destiny Islands before the characters were eventually engulfed by it. "That's...not normal. Secret ending, I guess? Did they patch it in?" Knowing immediately what he should do, he jumped over to his computer chair and Googled it on the computer that he had built himself. No relevant results came up. Neither KH13 nor KHInsider seemed to have the info he was looking for. "Kairi?! Riku?! Donald! Goofy! Your Majesty!" cried out a voice behind the boy. "WHAT THE..." The boy turned around and saw none other than the spiky-haired hero from Kingdom Hearts: Sora. "Caius! Keep it down up there! Also, be down in a couple of minutes, food's almost ready!" yelled the boy's mother from downstairs. Caius, not taking his eyes off Sora, replied in the most casual voice he could muster, "U-Um, yeah, that's fine, Mom!" Sora ran up and grabbed the boy's shoulders. "Please! Tell me where Riku and Kairi are!" Caius, still shaken by the turn of events, shakily replied, "I...u-um...they're...ehhh...you're not a cosplayer, are you? H-How did you get in?" By that point, I was swimming in my thoughts. I still couldn't possibly fathom that the real Sora was warped into my realm somehow. Who could blame me? I was scared; I thought that maybe this was just some costumed freak that broke into my home. At the same time, though...there was this tiny spark of curiosity in me. "What are you talking about? Cosplayer? I just need to find my friends, please!" Sora said loudly, a bit calmer than before. Caius gripped Sora's arms and pushed them off his shoulders instinctively. "Look, okay...I don't know who you are, but you need to leave. I don't know where your friends are, and I don't know why you're here in the first place. If you come any closer, I'm calling the police." Sora gulped and took his most respectful pose, in order to not upset Caius further. "Sorry! U-Um, my name's Sora! I'm looking for my friends, Riku and Kairi! Oh, uh...also, Donald, Goofy, and a King Mickey!" That's odd, I thought. Now that he mentions it, when the scene in KH2FM ended, the light engulfed all of the characters in the scene; including all of the characters this supposed Sora had mentioned. "Okay...so, suppose your name is Sora...prove it to me. Summon your Keyblade," said Caius, still alarmed by Sora's sudden appearance. Sora jumped back in surprise. "Wha...how do you know about the Keyblade?!" Caius motioned for Sora to calm down, realizing the confusion of what he just said. "Calm down, I'm not a bad guy or anything. I just happen to know about it. I'll explain later, if you summon it." Sora, not entirely trusting Caius, reluctantly agreed. He held his hand out to his side and closed his eyes. In a flash of light, the Keyblade materialized in his hand. Caius's eyes widened. He couldn't believe it. At that point, I was entirely convinced. It may have just been that I wanted it to be true, but I saw no other possibility in my head other than "this is the real Sora." "Caius! Dinner's ready? Caius?" Caius balled his hands into fists. "Oh, man...hey, Sora, are you hungry?" Sora felt his stomach. "I did just beat down a really powerful guy...I guess I am." Caius grit his teeth, thinking about what to do. "Okay, Sora. Do me a favor. Hide in that closet for now until I come back upstairs with food. If it's me, I'll knock three times in a row on the door." Sora, having no choice but to trust Caius, nodded and entered the closet door. Caius closed the door behind him and took a big sigh. "Welp...at least Sora's finally getting dinner."

  5. " We see only that which is bathed in the light...but what about, the darkness? surely, we must all have both light and dark in us do we not? if not...then, what are we? with one without the other? a man searches for these answers...his name: "Lamnt Lmnt". . " Prologue: The man who is hated by all and even hell itself. "Leonard Lionel" A-K-A "Lenny the S***" is researching the dark arts of magic to find a way to bring back his dead sister from the afterlife using any and all means necessary, even sacrificing human life to do so, in exchange, he gives up pieces of his soul to the demon known as "Zerzes", self proclaimed guardian and guider of people's souls that get sent to hell after committing atrocities during their time whilst amongst the living. Helping Lenny or as he is called "Levil" by his associate is a man named "Carl Daemons", a highly profitable businessman on the outside in public face who owns his own manufacturing corporation called "D Enterprises" that deals with everything that can be manufactured by human hands. Daemons is helping Levil so that they can revive Levil's twin sister and Daemons' former lover back to the world of the living named "Kara Lionel" who was murdered by an unknown assailant, believed to be a hater of both Daemons and his business and would go so far as to commit murder just to get back as revenge. Nothing is known about the murderer, other then before leaving the crime scene, he was caught by an eyewitness fleeing the scene with his hand covered entirely in black dust, the eyewitness was a friend of Kara's and former girlfriend of Levil's who came up with his nickname named "Zovia Sharles". "Zovi" as she is called by Levil worked alongside Kara as a showman magician's apprentice in the arts of white magic, contrast to the darkness of all magic, so that she could protect herself should there ever come a time when she would be threatened by someone with magical talent and expertise, however, during the situation that occurred with Kara, neither she or Zovi could have predicted someone coming to kill the former and thus, they were taken by surprise and Kara was killed, Zovi lost her left eye in the process but by losing it, she developed magical foresight, the ghost of Kara before disappearing right in front of Zovi straight after being murdered was able to allow Zovi to see with her left eye spiritually for just a moment that the cloaked murderer had black dust all over his right hand and that it was of magical substance. Knowing the police would not believe her and she would be accounted for as a suspect, Zovi fled and went to Levil and Daemons for help, wanting to do right by his sister and bring her back whilst also wanting the murderer to stand for justice, Levil, Daemons and Zovi together made a secret pact and started calling themselves "Lamnt Lmnt" which could reference any single one of the three members that made up the pact and could be interpreted and translate as "Lament Lmnt", meaning lament was their way of saying for the murderer to lament his crime and that until they found out who he truly was, they would call him "Lmnt". They took the E out of Lmnt according to the dark arts book that Levil was using to try and resurrect his sister with called the "eLeMeNT of 666" which was in black humour Zerzes' telephone number and of how Levil came into contact with the dark spiritual self proclaimed guardian and guide of souls in the first place. Zerzes would help the pact, namely Levil on the condition he would bring Zerzes the souls of the damned to hell so that Zerzes could vainly improve his self image amongst the lords of evil and darkness down in hell and especially look good in front of his lord and master of all of hell everywhere, the demon and devil king named "Rucifer". Levil would accept dirtying his hands with the stench of blood and death whilst Daemons would use his public image to cover up the deaths as merely pure coincidental accidents, Zovi would use her new powers of the "Eye of Murderers" as she called it to find self said murdering people by the black dust that is covered entirely on parts of their bodies, as a result of using dark magic to kill people with. To help Levil kill the murderers themselves, Zerzes gives Levil an alternate persona that can transform into a beast during battle whilst enraged by the thought of an act of evil being witnessed right before Levil's eyes called the "Rikudo", the Rikudo would allow Levil to transform into one of six demons that Zerzes personally commands in hell and would send to earth to possess Levil's body, embodying and representing one of six earthly principles and desires of mankind each. Levil would become known by Zerzes as a man who is hated by all and even hell itself should he agree to take on the Rikudo's powers, without hesitation, Levil swallowed the Rikudo which appeared in the form of a gum ball straight down his mouth and with it, gained the ability to see all of the supernatural and all kinds of magic besides both light and dark, the goals now set in foot, Levil hunts down the murderer of Kara and kills evil people whilst embodying and representing evil itself, Levil, Daemons and Zovi known as Lamnt Lmnt...began the hunt of evil...using evil. " Mix evil and evil together and what do you get? a "good" outcome. " That's the prologue done, so, what does everyone think :]? each chapter will have music to it, this is the only music for the prologue: https://youtu.be/mz5FIkzu1Gg

  7. DISCLAIMER: The events and worlds within this story are non-canon, as this is an imagined view of Kairi & Lea's Keyblade training. This is only a fan work. The Story So Far: Kairi and Lea are undergoing the last leg of their training under the three fairies. All that's left for them to do is to put their skills to the test in another Realm of Sleep. Master Xehanort, however, plans to interfere once more, and dispatches a reawakened Vanitas and Saïx to the same realm. World List: Radiant Garden, Ohana Paradise (Lilo & Stitch), The Secret World (Arrietty), Zootopia, Wonderland (2010 ver.), Sugar Rush (Wreck-it Ralph), Castle Oblivion The fairy in green, Fauna cleared her throat and spoke up. "The two of you have made great progress. I believe it's time to test your abilities." Kairi tilted her head in confusion. "We're this far already? I feel like things are going too quickly." Lea laughed. "The faster the better, Kairi! Alright, what's the test?" Flora, the red fairy, paused for a moment... and then decided to speak. "Your test will be in the Realm of Sleep." "Realm of Sleep?" Kairi looked confused. "Like Sora and Riku's mastery exam, right?" Lea raised an eyebrow. "This ought to be easy." Merryweather quickly spoke up. "This is a different realm of sleep: The worlds in which you will awaken have yet to exist. In this test, you must bring these worlds to their birth by locking their keyhole, which, in turn, will bring the world into existence." "I'm still confused. When are we to start, and is there a bed in here? How do we initiate it?" The three good fairies smiled, and sleeping pods much like the ones in Castle Oblivion appeared. They were styled differently; one was styled like a raindrop for Kairi, and the other, a flame for Lea. "Enter the pod, and your test will begin." Flora waved her wand, and the pods opened up to allow entry. The two new wielders stepped inside their respective pod, and fell into slumber.
  8. Hey guys! I decided to share my work with you. To cut things short, I like to draw... but it happens only once in a few months. So I don't have much material of drawings right now. But the ''good'' thing is that I failed my exam on monday So I have now enough time to draw, write or work on KH related stuff For the beginning... have a look at my wooden Starlight Keyblade! I made this on a whim last summer. Took a big plate of wood and painted a Keyblade on it. So it isn't real balanced, the grip for example. But for my first time working with that kind of stuff I did real good. You can watch the progress on the pictures below. (Nevermind the trainstation plan in the background... haha) You can even see the transitions for sticking together, I used wood mastic(or how its called) to hide them. It is quite heavy, around 2,5kg/5.51lbs - I can lift it with one hand... but swinging around takes both. This is one of my characters from my planned KH Story ''Point -255''. He is called Master Iustus and uses light and darkness as well. Like a scale, he thinks it must be in balance to exist - There is no ''pure'' evil. It depends on the person who does it. Currently under revise, got some new ideas for him. If someone could help me to translate it into English? I would appreciate that! Another picture of Iustus. I tried a more realistic style like from JoJo's bizarre Adventure. But it always merges with such a comical structure... and I am never satisfied with that. What I like is his outfit changing more and more. The first sketch of him was a catastrophe! But still funny how he evolved. Never meant to play a bigger role in my story, so is he now quite important against the villain (a dark version of my KHx Avatar but not just copy/paste) Feedback and stuff welcome!
  9. Here goes nothing! Part 1 Ever since I was a child, I always dreamed of exploring the Hawaiian Islands with my own two eyes. I’ve seen them on TV, but you’ll get a completely different experience if you explore them. This is the main reason why my friend named Mark decided we’re going to explore the Hawaiian Islands in the summer. My buddy planned most of it though. The hot, blistering sun was looking down at Mark, who was driving the boat and I, giving us placid weather today. The soft strokes of wind created by the boat’s constant movements felt very soothing. While looking up at the bright, blue sky, I started to reflect on myself. My full name is John Neman and I love exploring new islands, even if they were already explored or not. I’m the type of person that would try to explore as many islands as possible before the I pass out due to lack of sleep. After I stood there for a few more minutes I turned toward Mark and started reflecting on him, in my mind of course. His full name is Mark Dallas. Coincidentally named after the city of Dallas, Texas in the United States. Mark is the kind of person who is very selfish less. One day, he donated a ton of blood to a very sick kid who was on the verge of death and donated so much that he passed out upon existing the hospital. He had to stay in the hospital for a few days despite his condition not being life threatening. I guess the doctors didn’t want him to push himself too hard. Despite his seem to be perfect personality, he does have some flaws. For example, he puts all the blame on myself when he’s in a very stressful situation. Even if he didn’t cause the an accident or not, he would still blame himself. I find that kind of ironic, since he’s done a lot of good things for people. He has done good things not just in the United States, but worldwide. From organ donations to charity streams via twitch to food bank donations. He should be feeling good for just being himself because he is a very good person at heart. When I breathed in and out slowly, I came back to reality and he looked at me said, “How do you like the vacation so far, John?” I quickly said “ I love it so far man! We still have a couple of islands to explore tomorrow!” “Yes, I’m looking forward to it too.” I looked at Mark with a serious look and said, “Mark, aren’t you supposed to pay attention to the road while driving?” Mark sighed and said “You mean ocean John , because I don’t see any roads in the middle of the ocean!” “Yes, that’s what I meant. That word came out of my mouth instead of ocean.” “Well anyways, I’m going to steer this boat until midnight.” Mark turned his head towards me and stared at me for a few brief moments and said, “Hey John, how long did you spend exploring the islands today?” I smiled and said, “I stayed up until 11 o clock at night to take in all of nature’s glory!” “Isn’t that overdoing it a bit John? Why don’t you take a nap in the boat’s cabin?” “Why should I?” “because you barely got enough sleep last night. Now getting enough sleep isn’t healthy you know.” “Okay, if you say so.” I slowly walked toward the door of the boat. When I was about to turn the knob Mark said, “When the sunsets, we’ll head to a port in Kahului, Hawaii island and spend the night there. Are you fine with that, John?” I nodded and said, “Of course, I am! Whatever floats your boat Mark my bud. Now, let me go to bed because I’m feeling a little worn out from yesterday’s activities.” When I opened the door to the boat’s interior, Mark quickly said, “Before you go to bed John, could you tell me what the weather’s going to be for tonight?” “No can do man. I didn’t check the weather the day we went out to sea. Sorry man” “It’s okay dude. I’m sure the weather will cooperate for days to come!” I soon entered the interior of the boat and closed the door behind me. While walking to my bed, I slowly recalled what I said to Mark only seconds earlier. I actually lied to him because I didn’t feel like talking about the weather when I’m half sleepy. The truth is that there is a tropical wave in the Pacific Ocean that is forecasted to be a category 5 hurricane, or should I say, typhoon by midnight tonight, but it’s forecasted to avoid the Hawaiian island by turning to the west. I remember before the news broadcast ended yesterday night that there was the chance the possible cat 5 typhoons could head straight towards the island we planned on staying for the night. Most weather models agree with the latter, but near the end of the newscast the person in charge of forecasting the weather in the Hawaii area said there was a slim chance the possible cat 5 storm would head straight towards the state. When I got into my room and immediately jumped into my bed and tried my best to go to sleep. While doing the latter, I started thinking of what I have don’t to get to where I am now. Now that I think about it, Mark was the only person in high school that would help me get above average grades in high school. He constantly said “I know you can do well in school John! If I can get A’s and B’s you can get A’s and B’s as well.” What he said struck true. I managed to get above average grades and got a 4.0 by the time I completed high school. I was very proud of myself and Mark too was proud as well. I suddenly stopped thinking about the past ad slowly started to fall asleep until I was completely unaware of my surroundings. I suddenly came to when a bolt of lightning woke me up. It startled the heck out of me so much that I feel out of my bed and a few moments after I fell I looked out of the window. I saw rain pounding down on the ship and wind blowing around in every direction I can see. When I made my way out of the boat I was forced right back down on my feet by a wave that crashed onto the boat from the rear side. That quickly woke me up to reality. I wasn’t dreaming at all. It was actually happening. Damn it, I should have told Mark that we should have went o Kahului since the possible, no, THE category 5 hurricane or should I say typhoon, didn’t turn at all and went straight north. After being lost in thought for a few minutes I rushed towards the boat’s exterior assuming Mark was still outside and saw waves constantly crashing on the boat. The wind was howling so much that I had to hold onto a rail to keep my balance. It wasn’t long until I became soaking wet. I slowly looked upwards until I saw Mark, griping the wheel of the boat. He was soaking wet too, just like me and was trying his best to steer the boat to safety. Shortly afterwards I shouted “Hey mark! Come inside! We have the risk of falling off if you stay outside.” “No can do John. I have to steer this ship to safety. If I don’t do anything I risk sinking the ship due to the huge wave.” I sighed agitatedly and said, “Listen to me Mark! You’ll likely die if you don’t go inside!” “Is it really all that safer inside the ship then outside? Besides, as far as I know, water could get into the ship thus flooding it from the inside.” My body filled up with rage and my arm curved into the ball and moved straight towards Mark. Luckily for him, a wave hit the ship’s rear area again and it flung me off of the boat entirely. When my mind gained its senses a few seconds later I was in the verge of falling into the water when Mark, despite me trying to knock some sense into him, tried to save me. He pulled his right arm towards me while holding on to the guard rail located on the perimeter of the boat. For a split second his finger touched my finger and in a blink of an eye, I vanished into the deep, dark ocean before Mark shouted “John, no!” to me. Part 2 The Island When I came to, I was laying on a sandy beach with the blistering sun straight above me. This made me assume it was a little part 12 twelve because the sun is always at its highest peak a a little before and after noon. I soon sat up and looked around the area. Some sort of forest was behind me. The ocean, which I nearly drowned in, was facing in my direction. I got off my feet and yield for help, but nobody responded. Soon afterwards, I yield my friend’s name. “Mark Mark! I’m over here!” I yield at the top of my lungs and yet again nobody answered. I looked down to the ground in lament and a moment later noticed a map between my feet. I picked the map up and said to myself, “I wonder if there are people on this island or there WERE people on this island.” I carefully examined the map to see where I was, but before I found my location, I found myself looking at a very bizarre island. The map looked worn down like it had been there for a while. The island is shaped like a donut with several defining features. The coastline is surrounded by ocean. A mile or two inland there appears to be a rain forest. It surrounds a lake that’s in the center of the island. The lake itself is called hole lake. It’s pretty accurate, considering there’s a hole filled with water in the middle of the island. When I was done examining the map, I began folding the map and while doing so, I noticed a secret message behind the map. “Do NOT go to the center of the island to get the treasure beneath the lake. It WILL ruin your life until the day you die.” I started shaking all over my body, scared that it might be true. I said to myself, “This has to be a joke. Yes, it has to be!” I encouraged myself to think the message wasn’t real and said to myself, I’m going to find that treasure no matter what!” All of a sudden, my stomach started growling. “Guess I need to find something to eat, or I really will not be able to find my friend and the so-called treasure.” I slowly walked to a coconut tree, exhausted from the lack of food and water in the last day or so. I was so hungry I would’ve eaten anything that seemed edible. When I looked into the waters of the pacific, I seen a few fish swimming near the shoreline. I immediately broke a branch from a coconut tree and began cutting the wood until it was shaped like a spear. Soon I went into the shallow shoreline and slowly approached the fishes. When I was in the perfect place, I quickly threw the sear into the murky water and go three fishes in a row. I was happy to know I finally got something to eat Upon swallowing my first bite of fish, I began choking up the food and choked it out. “Guess this is what I get for trying to eat first before drinking something. “I looked at the coconut tree again and noticed one coconut hanging on a low-lying branch. It seemed reachable, so I put my fish down on the tree and began climbing it. I soon removed the coconut and not long afterwards a swarm of bees from a beehive near me started stinging the daylights out of me. I immediate let go of the coconut and ran for my life. When things settled down, I looked at the bee stings on my body then looked around the area. Upon searching the area, I noticed a wooden house at the edge of the rainforest. It was on top pf a cliff and the cliff was facing towards me. With interest, I walked closer to the cliff and quickly noticed a path of stars leading to the house. “Looks like I found a safe haven! “Upon taking my first few steps, I got surprised by a sudden roar from behind me. I slowly turned my head around and saw a bear, hungry and ready to eat me at any time. I turned my whole body around and walked the steps backwards to keep a close eye on the beat. When it growled at me again I turned 180 degrees and started running up the stairs as fast as I could. While running for my life I hear the footsteps of the beast following me and I quickly thought, “It this the end for me? Am I going to die without seeing my friend ever again?” My mind turned toward relieve when I was close to the house. I immediately opened the door and closed it in an instant. I used my body to prevent the monster from getting inside. It started hitting the door for a minute or so even though it felt like an eternity. Eventually the pounding on the door stopped and I sighed of relief. I closed my eyes for a few seconds than opened them again to examine the house itself. The house itself is a square with four windows in each direction. The minute I noticed a refrigerator I began feeling very hungry. I opened the refrigerator and saw about a year’s worth of food. I was in awe at how much good and water ere in the refrigerator. I quickly took out a bag of chip, cookies and a bottle of water and started indulging myself. Upon eating the last cookie, I heard the door knob turning. I quickly jumped into the bed and covered myself with its cover. A second later I hear the door opening and I was very scared for my life. I was hoping I would never get spotted. That thought lasted for a few minutes then suddenly, I felt the cover getting pulled from me then in a blink of an eye, saw a man in his 30’s looking at me with a very upset, serious face. Before I could say anything, the man said angrily, “Who the hell are you and how did you get in my house? Nobody’s supposed to be on this island except for me! Now get off my bed now and leave now!” But sir I-“ “No buts! When I say get out, mean get the hell out!” As soon as those words ran through his mouth I ran for the door and when I opened it, I was for a surprise! The man suddenly pushed me out of the house and I ended up falling off the cliff from the forest side. Before I fell unconscious, I hear the man say, “That’s what you get for being on my…” My mind went into complete silence and I lost complete awareness of where I was.
  10. Hey guys! It's been a long time since I posted any fanfiction here and I came up with some great ideas for stories so I decided to let them out here. Let me know if you like it or if you have any suggestions! Thanks for reading! I do not own the copyrights to anything, these are just my ideas. The following series of stories takes place in the same Kingdom Hearts universe as the games, but takes place post-Xehanort saga. In this world, assume the only villains not defeated are Xigbar, Saix, Maleficent, and Pete. The New Kingdom Chronicles Saga 1 - The Abyss Wars Chapter 1: Reckoning Sora coughed as he swallowed some sand picked up by the gentle breeze. No matter how long he lived on this island he never figured out how to avoid eating this sand. The sun was high in the sky at this point in the day, so he figured that Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie would be back from school ay time now. Thanks to everything that had happened, he, Riku, and Kairi had missed so much school they couldn't even get back into their own grade, so the three of them decided to just drop it entirely. Sora sighed loudly. Even if he lived on a great beach and hung out with his friends all day, it become old very fast. "More sand in your mouth?" A voice giggled. He jumped at the sudden presence of Kairi right behind him. She stood over him, hands behind her back, smiling brightly. Sora stood up immediately, brushing off all the sand that had collected in his clothes. "Kairi, you can't just jump out at people like that!" Sora told her. Kairi merely shrugged and began pacing around him. Through the corner of his eye, Sora could see that the smile Kairi had on had already disappeared. It had been three months since the three of them returned from fighting against Xehanort and Organization XIII across the several worlds, and they had left some heavy reminders on all of them. For Riku, it was a nearly fatal scar on his back; for Sora, it was several broken bones that had almost healed; but for Kairi, she saw devastating things that hurt her mentally. Most days, Sora longed for Kairi to return to the person she was before any of this happened. The innocent, kind girl that never saw the darkness in anybody. Two years of fear, hopelessness, and constant fighting have left her worn out and stoic like a warrior. "Kairi, are you okay?" Sora asked. Kairi turned to him in confusion, before realizing what he was asking about. She sighed quickly and that smile - that almost fake smile - returned to her face. "Yeah silly! I'm fine." She smiled a second longer before turning away to look across the basically endless ocean. Her stare showed an age much older than her true one. "We're fine now. Xehanort and all of those people washed in the darkness are gone. We're safe now." "Well, everybody except Xigbar and Saix," a voice said sternly. They both turned to see Riku walking towards them. "Riku!" Sora growled, seeing a frown appear on Kairi's face. Riku stared back at Sora. "There's no use in protecting her from this anymore, Sora. She's faced it all with us and she needs to understand that the darkness will disappear completely. As long as there is still a threat out there, she needs to know." Sora looked back at Kairi. Kairi was not only a Princess of Heart, but also became a Keyblade Warrior to help fight Xehanort. She trained under Yen Sid just like Riku and all other Keyblade Masters did. But first and foremost, she was a Princess and she needed to be protected, and that was exactly what he and Riku were gonna do. "You're right Riku," Kairi said straightforwardly. "I can't pretend that everything is completely fine now. While it's the most peace we've had in a long time, we can't be off our guard completely. Who knows what those two are doing right now in some other world?" Riku and Sora nodded in agreement, if not a bit reluctantly on Sora's part. Suddenly, a beeping sound began ringing off in all their pockets. They each took out the item in their pocket even though they knew what it was. It was an alert device shaped like a crown that went off whenever one of their friends needed their help. Most of the time it was just some Heartless or Nobodies that was a little too strong. But they never called on Kairi, and definitely not all three of them at the same time. "This must be bad," Riku frowned. "Let's go!" Kairi yelled. Riku and Sora looked at her. "Why are you guys looking at me like that?! I got the alert too which means they need me too. I'm going and you can't stop me!" Kairi faced showed possibly the most anger Sora had ever seen. but that's not saying a lot. Riku and Sora looked at each other for a moment before Riku nodded. Riku and Kairi began running to the "secret place" while Sora faltered for a second, hesitant to let Kairi go. I'm going to protect her this time, Sora thought before chasing after the two of them. He caught up to them at the entrance to the "secret place." This place held the door that connected them to all of the other worlds. After everything that happened, King Mickey gave them the alert devices which could help them connect to a specific world, as long as someone in that world connected back. The three of them went down to the end of the path, where the room with all of their drawings was as well as the elegant, ornate door stood at the opposite end. "Ready?" Riku asked. The other two nodded and the three of them took out their Keyblades, Sora with the Ultima Weapon, Kairi with her Destiny's Embrace, and Riku with his Way to the Dawn. The three of them pointed their Keyblades at the door and tiny light beamed from the end of their blades to the door. A second later the door opened and the three of them ran into the bright light that exuded from the door. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The three of them landed a few moments later on the gate at the edge of a large rubble. "Where are we?" Sora asked. None of them had checked to see where they were even being connected to. All around them was crumbled buildings and fires roaring all over the place. Sora turned when he heard Riku grunting. He was hitting his alert device. "This thing must be on the fritz," Riku sighed. "It says we were supposed to be transported to Radiant Gardens, but it took us to the wrong place." "Guys," Kairi said. "It's never broken like this before," Sora said curiously. "Guys," Kairi repeated. "When we get there we should repor-" "Guys!" Kairi yelled, interrupting Riku. They turned to her quickly. "I think we are in Radiant Gardens," she said with a shaky voice. She pointed upwards, and the two turned to see what she was pointing at. They gasped when they saw the castle that also held Ansem's study in it. It had also partly been destroyed, one of the tower's completely broken off. The three of them stood in silence for several minutes, taking in their surroundings. Everything was destroyed except for some of the more stable structures. Half the buildings in the market were completely wiped away. They were beginning to see people leaving the intact buildings, but they began worrying about the people that, Sora could only assume, were in the destroyed ones. "We still got the alert and we should find the others." Riku broke the silence. Kairi and Sora nodded barely. Can Kairi handle this? Sora thought. Almost on cue, Kairi turned to him and gave a weak smile. "I'm fine," she said gently. With that, the three of them began running through the interweaving streets or what used to be streets that now had ground missing and buildings on top of it. People all around them were yelling and crying, and it made Sora wince every time. After several minutes they reached the house of their friends and flew inside. They were welcomed by a bunch of screaming and Yuffie about to attack Riku with her ninja stars. When she realized who it was, she put them down and hugged Riku. "Don't take us by surprise like that you dummies," she sighed. She took a few steps back and smiled. "I'm glad you guys are okay." "What happened?" Sora asked. He could see Cid by the computer with Merlin, but that was it. "Where's Leon? Or Aerith?" "Aerith went into town to check on the status of the citizens." Yuffie told him quickly. "And Leon?" Sora asked again. Yuffie hesitated a moment. "What happened to him!?" "Sora!" Kairi pointed to the corner of the room, Sora turned to see Leon lying in a bed, bandages covering him from head to toe. His sword sat next to him. It took Sora a second to realize his sword was broken in two. "Leon!" He ran quickly to the bed and grabbed Leon by the shoulders. "Are you okay?" Yuffie hit him on the head and grabbed him by the collar. "You idiot, he's trying to recover!" Yuffie growled. "I'm sorry," Sora frowned. Seeing the depressed face, Yuffie sighed and put him down. "What happened here?" Yuffie crossed her arms, looking away in embarrassment. "We were completely annihilated." Yuffie admitted to them. "One second everything was fine. The next, several people appeared across the town. They were strange clothes, like several fabrics barely put together properly. With weird mouth guards and hoods it's like they came from a desert. They suddenly began attacking the town. They didn't use Keyblades or anything. It was like magic, but it wasn't the type that we use." "Who were they?" Kairi asked. "I didn't really hear what they were saying, but I did hear two words. The Abyss." The sound of the words made Sora shiver. "Leon was almost fatally wounded, but thanks to Merlin and Aerith he's stable now." "His sword," Sora looked down at the ground. Yuffie put her hand on his shoulder and smiled. "He'll just have to find a better one," Yuffie lifted Sora's head with her other hand. Sora smiled weakly. Suddenly, the door slammed open again. Yuffie almost attacked when she realized it was Aerith. "Stop doing that people!" "I'm sorry Yuffie. I heard Sora and Riku were here." Aerith huffed and puffed, clearly out of breath. "I'm glad you guys made it." It took her a second to realize Kairi was there as well. Aerith froze, sweat forming on her face. "Kairi what are you doing here!?" Aerith nearly yelled, which shocked everyone. "I- I- I came here to help!" Kairi replied. Aerith began gritting her teeth. "You need to go back to Destiny Island!" Aerith immediately responded. Kairi gasped. "Why!? I can help, I know I can!" "It's true that the more power we have the better." Riku told Aerith. "She wouldn't be able to help us! She'd just be another hindrance!" "Aerith!" Yuffie yelled. "What's going on with you!?" "Nothing's wrong. She just needs to go!" Aerith yelled back. "I'm not going!" Kairi looked determined. Aerith turned to Kairi, her hands forming fists. "Kairi you aren't strong enough to deal with these people. You're basically powerless and fragile and you'd only be an obstacle for us if you stayed longer. You aren't welcome here!" The room was silent for a second. Then Kairi ran out of the house and into the town. "Kairi!" Sora yelled, chasing after her. Riku stared at Aerith. "Now tell us the real reason you don't want her here." Riku beamed at Aerith. Aerith frowned, turning away from them. "She's in danger unlike anything that's happened before." Aerith said. "None of us are strong enough to protect her." "Protect her from who?" Riku yelled. Aerith turned to him, but before she could reply, she gasped loudly. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sora caught up to Kairi at the edge of the town, on the guard's wall. Sora looked out and saw the Heartless Castle, far off in the distance. "Kairi are you okay?" Sora asked. Kairi stayed quiet for a second. "Aerith didn't mean what she said. She's just trying to protect you." "I can take care of myself!" Kairi yelled at him. I'm not a child!" "I know you aren't!" "Then stop treating my like o-" That was all she could say before the Heartless Castle exploded. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "They're here," Aerith froze. END OF CHAPTER 1
  11. The first story of the series is here for any new readers: http://kh13.com/forum/topic/83888-my-kingdom-hearts-story-two-universes-collide/ The sequel begins here after the events of Two Universes Collide. Summary It's been a while since I defeated my number one enemy. I have fought in a dark war beforehand though. I fought in the Keyblade War and lived to tell the tale. Not many can do that. My close encounters with darkness and my dark fate have been hard and challenging to overcome and I almost fell to darkness, but I already became my ancestor as he took up residence within me and so he helped me bring me back to the light. With bringing me back to light, I fought a dark warrior with a heart covered in darkness, a Xehanort who became the fourteenth darkness, and a giant that was bigger and stronger than Godzilla. However, these were mere tastes of darkness overall. My true challenge against darkness came against my number one enemy. He was darkness and did what darkness did. After defeating him by escaping death and using the power of Kingdom Hearts, my light was strong and grew stronger. My friends also overcame powerful darkness too and their lights grew stronger. However, I forgot a very important thing. There is a saying "the stronger one's light, the stronger their darkness". I would eventually realize that I had to fight my own darkness, while clashing with a rival who is trying to replace myself and my friends. While I fight my darkness and beat back the rival, I would discover something extraordinary. I would discover a hidden treasure on Earth as old as the Keyblade War and in a place I would least expect; tucked away where no one on Earth would ever find in a place hidden to the world.

Chapter 2: The night before the exam. Four years have passed since that day, and the boy is now lively again. He still doesn't remember much about his past at all. The boy is now living on a world known as the Land of Departure, it is currently night time in the world, as lots, and lots of stars are seen in the sky. The boy, Ventus, gets up from his sleep startled. He sighs a little. He looks at the sky, and sees a meteor going by. Ventus, smiles, and gets excited when he sees the meteor going by. "A meteor shower!" Shouted Ventus, excited. Ventus wastes no time jumping off of the bed, and running out his bedroom door into the hallway. Ventus is so excited, he didn't see another boy walk out of his room, and when he turns to face Ventus, and when he sees the boy they crash into each other! They sit up on the ground rubbing their heads, and looking at each other. They suddenly start laughing, at the sight of having crashed into each other. The boy is 13 years old, with short black hair, a bit tanned skin, dark blue eyes, wears a long sleeved black, and yellow shirt, and has a knight shoulder pad-like cauldron on his left shoulder, and wears black pants, and wears black boots. "Hey! Watch where you're going Tyler!" Said Ventus, in an energetic tone. Tyler rubs the back of his head, in embarrassment, as he looks on at Ventus with a smile on his face, as they get up slowly from the ground, and they walk in the hall of the castle in the world. "Sorry about that....I noticed a meteor....Wait.....Your going to see it too?" Replied Tyler, in a cheerful tone, as he continues walking in the hall. "Yeah!!!! I'am!!" Replied Ventus, in a happy and cheerful tone, as he, and Tyler kept walking in the hallway. They finally reach the exit of the castle, they look at each other with a smirk their face, and ran out the door. A young man wearing a black coat is seen watching the two boys exit the castle, and then the man leaves the castle, by opening a Corridor of Darkness and walking into it. (Play theme here.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7VTkfhWYl0 Ventus, and Tyler run down the stairs, and look up into the night sky, looking for any meteors. They don't see any, and look at the pathway. "I can't see well from here!" Said Ventus, with a sigh. "I can't see either bro..." Replied Tyler, also sighing. Tyler, looks at Ventus with a smirk, and pushes him down a little, and runs towards the pathway, and into the training field. "Hey wait up!!!! Oh I see now....You are racing me to the top!!!!" Shouted Ventus, in a playful mood. Ventus, runs up the pathway, and into the training field. He takes a look around at the rings on chains that are attached to poles. "I've got time to spare." Said Ventus, in a playful mood. Ventus, summons his Keyblade, the Wayward Wind to his hand, and swings it at one of the rings, and then he ran at the pole that holds three rings, Ventus, just giggled as his assumes his battle stance. "What? You want a piece of me too?" Said Ventus, in a daring tone, as he took aim at one of the rings. Ventus, swings his Keyblade at the ring with great power in the strike. The rings then started moving in a fast pace, Ventus carefully aims his Keyblade at one of the rings, and performs a Strike Raid, by throwing his Keyblade at one of the =rings. "Hey, what am I doing? I'm going to miss the meteor shower! I need to get to the top before Tyler does!" Said Ventus, realizing that he is behind in the race. (End theme here.) Ventus's dissummons his Keyblade, and runs up a slope, only to see a young man wearing a black coat with it's hood up, the man looks at Ventus eye-to-eye with him. "You must be warned.....Something terrible will soon happen....And.....You may no longer be who you are....." Said the man, seeming to warn Ventus of upcoming danger. Ventus looks at the man with a confused look on his face. "What do you mean? Who are you?" Asked Ventus, asking for the man's name. Suddenly, without warning the man disappears, leaving Ventus more puzzled, than confused. "Who was that guy? And what did he mean by danger?" Thought Ventus, thinking about what had just transpired. Ventus decides to shrug it off, and runs into another pathway leading to the top, as he reaches the top he sees Tyler already there. Tyler, looks at Ventus with a smile on his face. "Looks like I got here before you Ven!!! Said Tyler, with a smirk on his face, and with a playful tone in his voice. "Oh thanks!!!!" Replied Ventus, in a playful tone. Both Tyler, and Ventus started laughing. Tyler, and Ventus approch the ledge of the cliff, and lie down on the ground with their arms beneath their heads, to rest on them. They look up into the sky, and into the stars. Ventus, starts to have a concerned look on his face, Tyler looks at Ventus upon seeing his concerned face. "What's wrong Ven?" Asked Tyler, worried for his friend. "Why does this seem....Familiar?" Asked Ventus, in a concerned tone with an uneasy feeling. "Maybe it's just a coincidence." Replied Tyler, thinking of a solution to the strange problem. "Maybe, your probably right...." Replied Ventus, thinking it's just a coincidence. They close their eyes, after a few minutes they open them, and look above, after sitting up. Ventus, and Tyler yawned, and fall onto their backs, but they see a blue haired girl, looking at them. Ventus, and Tyler, bolt up from their sleep. "Woah!!!" They both said at the same time in a surprised tone. They got onto their knees, and look at her. "Give as a break Aqua!" Said Ventus, in a energetic tone. "Ven, Tyler, you hopeless sleepyheads, you know you two can't sleep out here without a blanket." Replied Aqua, in a playful tone, with some sarcasm in her words. "But....Did I dream that place up.....I feel like I've been there......Looking at the stars...." Said Ventus, talking about the sky. Aqua, took her hand, and ruffled the hair on top of Ventus' hair. "But, you're here, living with us." Replied Aqua, reminding Ventus, that he lives in this world now. "Yeah, your right..." Replied Ventus, with a smile on his face. Ventus, Tyler, and Aqua walk closer to the ledge, and sit down on it."Hey Aqua?" Said Ventus, asking Aqua a question. "Hm?" Said Aqua, wondering what Ventus is asking her. "Y'ever wonder what stars are? Where Light comes from?"Asked Ventus, in an curious tone. "Hmm...Well, they say..." Said Aqua, beginning to say something, as she was cut off by a young man with brown spiky hair. "That every star up there is another world" Said the young man, in a kind tone. Ventus, Tyler, and Aqua turn around to face a man after gasping. "Terra." Said Aqua, surprised to see Terra, out in the middle of the night. "Yep, hard to believe there are so many worlds out there besides our own. The Light is their hearts, and it's shining down on us like a million lanterns." Said Terra, explaining the stars in the sky. Ventus, looks at Terra with a confused look on his face after Terra finished explaining what stars are. "What? I don't get it." Said Ventus, in a confused tone. "In other words, they're just like you, Ven." Said Terra, in a playful tone. "What does THAT mean? Replied Ventus, as he got up, and walked towards Terra. "You'll find out someday, I'm sure." Said Terra, in a truthful tone. "I wanna know now." Replied Ventus, getting impatient. "You're too young to know now." Said Terra, calling Ventus too young to know the meaning of what he said. "Quit treating me like a kid." Replied Ventus, in irritation of being treated like a kid. Aqua, started laughing a little. "Hey, what are you laughing at?" Asked Terra, in a little harsh tone in his voice. "I can't help it. You two would make the wierdest brothers." Said Aqua, as she started laughing after that. Ventus, folds his arms behind his back, and Terra folds his arms to his chest, looking confused. Then they too start laughing. A few hours pass, as Ventus, Tyler, Terra, and Aqua look at the stars in the night sky, as Aqua suddenly gets up. (Play theme here.) "Oh yeah. Terra, you and I have are Mark of Mastery exams tomorrow." Said Aqua, in a stern tone in her voice as she walks behind Terra, Tyler, and Ventus. Aqua, takes out four star-shaped charms out of her pocket, and held them out to show them. "I made us good luck charms." Said Aqua, in a cheerful tone, as she smiles. The four charms were colored Blue, Light brown, Green, and Yellow, Aqua threw the Light brown-colored charm to Terra, the Green charm to Ventus, and the Yellow charm to Tyler. "Wow, amazing.." Said Tyler, in a happy tone in his words. "I get one too?" Asked Ventus, in a cheerful tone in his words. "Of course. One for each of us. Said Aqua, as she, Tyler, Terra, and Ventus show off their charms, and looking at them. "Somewhere out there, there's this tree with star-shaped fruit, and the fruit represents an unbreakable connection. So as long as you and your friends carry good luck charms shaped like it, nothing can ever drive you apart. "You'll always find your way back to each other. Technically, I think you're supposed to make them with seashells., but I did the best with what I had." Said Aqua, explaining about the good luck charms she gave them. "Oy, sometimes you are such a girl." Said Terra, in sarcasm. "Hey, what do you mean, "sometimes"?" Asked Aqua, annoyed a little at what Terra said to her. "So this isn't a real good luck charm?" Asked Ventus, a little dissappointed. "Well, that's yet to be seen. But I did work a little magic on it." Said Aqua, stating that they have yet to see what the charms can do. "Really? What?" Asked Ventus, in an curious tone. "An unbreakable connection." Said Aqua, as she held her good luck charm up into the air. (End theme here.) "That makes sense..." Said Tyler, understanding what Aqua said. Terra, got up and started to walk into the open field. "Well, tomorrow's the exam. Anyone wanna Spar?" Asked Terra, asking if someone wants to spar with him. "I can take ya!" Said Ventus, as he summoned his Keyblade into his his hand, and they both run into each other, and they clash weapons. Hours pass, and Ventus, and Terra are getting tired after clashing, Aqua came walking into the battle, with Keyblade in hand. "Well, that works if you're fighting one on one. But you need to learn how to handle a crowd, too." Said Aqua, as she assumed her battle stance. She, and Ventus jump at each other preparing to clash their weapons in midair. A few hours pass, and Terra, Aqua, and Ventus are worn out as they face each other, as Tyler is watching. Ventus, dissummons his Keyblade, signaling his time in sparring is over tonight. "Trust me, you guys are ready." Said Ventus, as Tyler gets up, and goes over to his side. "You're going to clean up at the exam tomorrow." Said Ventus, in a cheerful tone in his words. "I hope it's that easy." Said Terra, as he began walking. "It's like the master said. Power is born within the heart." Said Aqua, starting to explain about what the Master told them. "When the time is right, you just need to look inside yourself, and you'll find it there." Said Aqua, as she finished explaining. Ventus nods with a smile. Ventus, looks up into the sky a little, with a confused look on his face. "Hey, we're going to head back." Said Terra, telling Ventus that he and Aqua are heading back to the castle. Tyler, looks at Ventus, with a smile. "I'm also heading back too? Are you coming?" Asked Tyler, asking Ventus if he will head back to the castle too. Ventus, looks at Tyler with a smile on his face. "Yeah, me too!" Replied Ventus in a happy tone. Ventus, and Tyler run a little to catch up with Terra and Aqua. They start to walk back down the mountain, but Aqua looks into the sky as she saw a meteor passing by, distracted by it. "Together...Always..." Said Aqua, to herself as she held her good luck charm. Aqua quickly runs to catch up with Tyler, Ventus, and Terra to walk down the mountain, back to the castle. Suddenly, a big wave goes at the mouse, and the mouse falls into a whirlpool, as the frightened mouse screams for his life. (End theme here.) Without any word, the mouse came floating out of the water, the water disappeared, showing that it was just an illusion, the mouse was really in a room, with a wizard sitting on a chair with a desk. the mouse lands on the ground with a thud, and he got up soon after that. The mouse walks towards the wizard, as he rubs the back of his head, embarrassed. The wizard looks at the mouse, with a stern, and serious look on his face, showing that he was not happy at what he saw. The wizard lowers his head, and sighs at the sight he saw. "Mickey...I cannot shake the feeling something terrible is about to transpire." Said the wizard, in an serious tone in his words. Mickey, moves his head a little, as he looks confused, as the wizard looks towards a window, that shows the night sky. In the sky there are four stars glowing in the sky, a yellow star, a brown star, a blue star, and a green star. (Play theme here.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Df_oGA0S2ZQ Meanwhile, at a mysterious wasteland, the same old man, from four years ago was looking out at the night sky from a cliff. A Corridor of Darkness opens up, and the same young man, who was in the castle of Land of Depature, who watched Ventus and Tyler leave the castle to look out at the stars, walks out of it, and stands behind the old man. "The one who you need for your goals, and his friend went to go watch a meteor shower, master, and another man like me appeared to the one, also wearing a black coat like I'am.....It seems that he is aware of our motives....What shall we do, Master Xehanort?" Asked the young man, calling the old man, "Master Xehanort". Xehanort, looks at the young man with an evil smirk on his face, as he turns to face him. "No worries, Darkdron, it won't matter one bit as he sees what's in store....How are the Darklings doing? We'll need them for our back-up plan, in case we lose the parts we need for our initial plan..." Replied Xehanort, in a dark tone revealing a type of monsters of sort, named the Darklings. Darkdron, lowers his hood, revealing his face, he has tanned skin, long, and spiky silver hair, that flows down to the midsection of his back, and has pointy ears, and has the same gold eyes as Xehanort's. "They are fine....We are pushing are enemy back, more into defeat....Yet the enemy refuses to give up....Those bird brains....They may be smart, but in the end, they shall be defeated, and destroyed...." replied Darkdron, telling Xehanort about what the Darklings are doing right now. "I see....Well, have the Darklings made any progress yet?" Asked Xehanort, as he extends his hand out while raising it in the air, as he asks if the Darklings are making progress. "Well, master, they are close to getting into the Temple of Zelia, on the World of Shining, and are now devising a way to disable the temple's security systems, and steal the temple's Planetary Energy, which will serve in our back-up plan to forge the thing we need, and place it in the dark counterpart of the temple in my World of Nexus, the World of Shining's Dark counterpart....After that, the Darklings shall invade the Temple of Balgia, the Temple of Sheena, and the Temple of Althar, to do the same like they are to the the temple, by stealing their Planetary Energy that they're going to do soon...." Said Darkdron, folding his arms on his chest, as he tells Xehanort about the Darkling's plans to steal the Planetary Energy to use it for something, to forge some king of thing. "Excellent.....That's what I want to hear....After all, you ARE the king, and ruler of all Darklings, since it was you who was the first Darkling to be born, and the most powerful than the rest..." Said Xehanort, stating that Darkdron, is the king, and ruler of the Darklings. "Of course master, I will never let you down, we shall succeed in our plan, and get what we desire..." Said Darkdron, in a dark tone, as he promises not to let Xehanort down. Xehanort, gives out another evil smirk on his face, and folds his arms behind his back. "Very good....The next part of our plan starts tomorrow, to sabotage Aqua, and Terra's Mark of Mastery exams.....The boy in the mask, will be there hidden in the shadows...." Said Xehanort, mentioning the existance of a boy wearing a mask. "Very well, master...." Said Darkdron, as he bowed to Xehanort, as they both give off more evil smirks on their faces. (End theme here.) Terra, Tyler, Ventus, and Aqua have spent their last night, under the stars peacefully, and are hyped for the exam. Xehanort, and Darkdron, are talking about something at a wasteland, what are the Darklings? What is the Darkling' enemy? Who was the young man, wearing the black coat that Ventus saw before watching the stars? Perhaps we may never know. The next chapter shall explain some questions. Chapter 3: The Exam.

  16. Hello everyone! Here comes my submission for the KH2.8 giveaway. It's actually the first Kingdom Hearts fanfiction I have ever written (but not the first fanfic in general), so I'm still kinda unsure about the characterization. Still, I hope you enjoy! ____________ Title: Two who finally meet again Summary/Excerpt: With a start Aqua pried her eyes open, but the brightness was too harsh, too unfamiliar, and she quickly pressed her eyelids back together, throwing her arm over her head to shield her eyes further with her sleeves. Still, it had been enough to send her mind reeling and the reeling intensified when she suddenly felt someone's light approaching her. It wasn't some ordinary person's light, though. It was bright and strong, strong enough to soothe the soreness in her muscles and bright enough to further nourish the light that had just been reignited inside of her. In addition to that, it was strangely familiar. Stronger than she had ever seen it, with a barely detectable trace of darkness wedged deep inside of it, but part of it was so distinctly... Ven. Rating: K/General Word count: 3355 Crossposted to ff.net/ao3 (Probably nicer to read there with the formatting) ____________ It had been hours, maybe days since the last heartless had attacked. It made Aqua nervous. Usually, every now and then at least a small shadow heartless popped up out of nowhere, acting as a constant reminder of where she was – as if she needed to be reminded of that. But everything had been quiet for a while and she wasn't sure whether she simply wandered into a less populated place... or something worse was waiting ahead. Yet, she followed the dimly lit path in front of her and after what felt like another couple of hours, the scenery slowly changed. The dirt tracks had turned into rough sand and a dark gray ocean had started to appear along the horizon. Tranquility started to wash over her at the sight of her element and she hurried her steps, eager to get closer to the waves before she saw a figure in the distance. A figure clad in a black cloak. Aqua stopped immediately, gauging the situation. The figure in front of her seemed to move very subtly and smoothly, not jerky and aggravated as the heartless tended to move. And while she felt darkness inside the figure, she also felt a faint light, something the heartless distinctly lacked. Her heart sped up as she started walking again. Another being from the Realm of Light?! The figure was quite tall and their back faced Aqua as they sat on one of the rocks that were situated on the beach. Aqua slowly stepped to his side, eying him before she spoke up. “Who are you?” A soft grunt escaped the figure before they turned to Aqua, their face concealed by their hood. “Why, hello,” a male voice answered her. “It’s not often I get visitors.” Not often? How long had he been here? “Please, call me Aqua. Why are you sitting here all alone in the Realm of Darkness? How did you end up here?” “Well...,” he replied, turning his head back to the ocean. There was a source of light in the distance, glowing in a faint, cold blue that illuminated the beach. “I can tell you this is my second time on these shores. But unfortunately much like the first, I do not remember who I am or whence I came. Everything was washed away in whatever currents carried me here.” “That’s too bad,” Aqua answered with a hint of regret as she dropped her glance. She, too, turned to the light now – any light helped in the perpetual darkness, no matter how cold it was – and sat down on the sand. “I know I’ve been here a long time, wandering through the endless hours, unable to escape...” She drifted off, hugging her legs to her upper body. Maybe sitting down hadn't been the best idea after all as the cold now started to creep into her bones. “You wish to return to your own world?” Aqua closed her eyes and suppressed a tired sigh before she nodded. “It’s my friends. I promised I’d be there for them.“ “Your friends? Somewhere in the scraps of memory I have left, you remind me of a boy I once knew. He is very much like you – true to his friends, and kind. This boy travels to many worlds and fights to keep the light safe.” She shortly glanced at him and a frown crossed her forehead as she repeated his words. “'Keep the light safe?' I’ve been away too long. Did something happen out there? Are the worlds in danger?” “Sad to say, they nearly fell to darkness more than once. But at every turn that boy arrived with Keyblade in hand to save the day.” “Huh?” Boy? Keyblade? Her heart skipped a beat and she couldn't suppress the hopeful smile that made the corners of her mouth curl upwards as she leaned towards her companion. “Wait a sec. Is his name Terra or Ven?” A few seconds passed with her heart beating rapidly in her chest before the figure next to her slowly shook his head. “Neither of those, I’m afraid.” The little bit of hope she had managed to gather dissolved and with that, her body felt incredibly tired again. Sighing, she drew her legs back to her chest. wrapped her arms tightly around them and rested her head on her arms, her eyes turned to the ocean but not focusing on it. “Should’ve known...” “How long has it been since I met him? At least a year now, perhaps more... Back then, my heart was clouded with vengeance. I did terrible things... both to him and his friends. I brought unhappiness to more lives than one.” The man continued his tale and although she rather wanted to get lost in her own thoughts, Aqua turned back to him and listened. It was nice to listen to something else than her own voice or illusions and something about this stranger's voice felt very soothing. “I felt something must be done. Was that why? A means of clearing my conscience? Or perhaps, out of a sort of scholarly instinct? While the boy slept his long sleep, I hid the results of my research inside him, transplanting the data to where it might best serve a purpose. In fact, I would like to believe… Maybe he can set things right. A boy like him who touches so many hearts – he could open the right door, and save all those people whose lives I managed to ruin. So many are still waiting for their new beginning, their birth by sleep. Even me, and even you.” Something changed in her. A tiny flicker of hope started glimmering inside of her again and the ground felt a little less cold as she let go of her legs and turned her entire upper body to the man beside her. She looked up at him in anticipation; she didn't know why, but she knew that it was of utmost importance to know – “What’s this boy’s name?” “His name is… Sora.” The flicker turned into a burning flame and its warmth spread through her body, quenching the cold that had enveloped her. It fueled the light inside her heart that had grown weaker and weaker the longer she had stayed in the Dark Realm on her own, but now it had finally returned to its original glow. It was strong, beautiful, overwhelming, and she couldn't hold back a tiny sob and the tears that rolled down her cheeks as she turned back to face the light across the ocean. “Sora,” she repeated with a smile before closing her eyes. A heavy weight materialized in her right hand and to her surprise, Master's Defender had appeared, pulsating in her hand. Confused as to what was happening, she quietly rose from her sitting position and let the Keyblade guide her. She grasped the hilt with both of her hands and lifted the Keyblade until it pointed at the light in the distance. Light started to glow at the tip of the blade and immense power started to emanate from the blade, forcing Aqua to push against it and stand her ground, much like she had to when she transformed the Land of Departure. “Stand back,” she shouted over her shoulder at her companion, though she didn't dare to take her eyes off of the Keyblade, “I don't know what's about to–!” Her words got cut off as the light that Master's Defender emitted engulfed her and after another pulse of power through her entire being, she lost consciousness. ____________ The first sense that returned to Aqua was her hearing. She heard the waves of the ocean ripple against the beach, slow and rhythmic, lapping at the sand and retreating back into the deep waters. From the opposite direction, the sound of streaming water splashing down reached her ears, only interrupted by the occasional screech of a sea gull. A soft breeze blew against her skin, gently rocking her fringe and tickling her nose with a salinity high enough that made her twitch and roll her head to the side so her cheek rested on the smooth sand beneath her. A small sigh escaped her lips when a soft ray of warmth touched her face and different colors started dancing behind her eyelid. … Something was not right about that picture. There was no waterfall at the shore she had just reached. No animals lived in the Realm of Darkness, the wind was cold and harsh and the sand felt moist and rough. And most of all, the light was as cold as the sand and didn't make you see more than murky colors. With a start Aqua pried her eyes open, but the brightness was too harsh, too unfamiliar, and she quickly pressed her eyelids back together, throwing her arm over her head to shield her eyes further with her sleeves. Ven. “Woah, take it easy!” A male voice answered her. One, that was so close to but ultimately different from Ven's. Her heart sank again. “Are you okay? Do you want to sit up?” She nodded tiredly and a pair of hands carefully supported her back while she got into a sitting position and only let go of her when she seemed stable enough on her own. “Here,” She felt some kind of garment hit the crown of her head, “this will keep the sunlight away until your eyes adjust.” With shaking hands, she pulled what felt like a jacket over her head completely, trying to block out as much light as possible as she leaned forward to brace her upper body against her propped up legs. Only when her surroundings seemed to become considerably darker, she dared to open her eyes slowly. They burned and teared up, but she managed to open them against the dim interior of the jacket. She took a breath, about to thank the stranger, but it irritated her throat and she fell into a coughing fit. Someone patted her back as she convulsed and when her body grew too tired to continue heaving, she felt something hard and stringy being placed into her hands. “Water,” the voice – Aqua decided that it must have been the voice of a teenage boy – told her. She weakly nodded in appreciation before she carefully lifted the bowl to her lips and took a small gulp. It hurt as the water passed her throat, but the coolness soon started to soothe the burning pain and she started to drink the water a little more greedily. After quenching her thirst for the time being, she placed the coconut next to her before she dared to move the jacket a little. Immediately, everything turned harsher and brighter and she squinted her eyes close again. “Thank you,” Aqua finally managed to utter, her voice barely above a whisper. “It's nothing!” The teen answered her and she could nearly feel the grin that spread on his lips. “How are you feeling?” “... awful,” she answered truthfully and turned her head around, opening her eyes again. Colors started to seep into her vision. “But I'll manage. Where am I?” “You're on Destiny Islands! I was on my way back to my friends when I found an abandoned Keyblade in the sand. I picked it up and it started glowing, guiding me to the keyhole of this world. Before I knew it, it unlocked the keyhole and opened a passage to the Realm of Darkness. There I found you, lying unconscious on the ground, and Ansem the Wise who knelt beside you.” “Ansem the Wise? Is that the name of the man that was with me? Where is he?” She slowly tugged on the jacket on her head again, allowing her eyes to accommodate to the increasing intensity of the light. “Yes, that's his name. He is alright, he's just sleeping. He helped me carry you into the shadow of this tree, but the Realm of Darkness has tired him out a lot.” “I see,” she muttered and after a moment of consideration, she tugged the jacket off of her head. She still had to squint her eyes a little, but at least she could now look into the eyes of her savior. His eyes were deep blue, a shade that achingly looked like the perfect blend between the shades of Terra and Ven, and this trend continued in his hair that was caramel colored, too light for Terra's brown and too dark for Ven's blond. While definitely adolescent, he seemed slightly younger than herself, around Ven's age when she last saw him. Everything about him seemed strangely familiar, but she couldn't put a finger on it. “My name is Aqua,” she finally broke the silence that spread between them and laced her fingers together in her lap, “you mind telling me your name?” “Ah, sorry!” He uttered with a crooked grin and rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment before puffing out his chest and pointing at it with his thumb. “I'm Sora!” Aqua's smile faltered and the beating of her heart increased. It wasn't possible... was it? “Sora,” Aqua bit her lip and unlaced her hands to dig them into the sand, balling her fists in it, “do you – do you know a boy named Riku?” “Riku?” Sora repeated with a startled expression and for a second Aqua hoped that her mind was playing her tricks – “Of course I know him, he's my best friend!” It wasn't. She definitely had seen this boy before. He was a small child back then, maybe four years old, with unruly brown hair and big eyes. But she recognized him. His brown hair had lightened and his skin tanned, probably with exposure to the sun. His eyes had become narrower and richer in color and his jaw, once round and smooth had now sharpened, though not yet having developed the angle of a grown man. He couldn't be. But he was. “How old are you, Sora?” She saw the confusion spread across his face once again. “I'm about to turn 17 in a few weeks.” Seventeen. He had been a mere child when she last met him, shortly before she fell into the Realm of Darkness. She had spent thirteen years in the Realm of Darkness. It had been thirteen years since she had saved Terra with her armor, but ultimately sent someone way darker back into the wold. It also had been thirteen years since she had hidden Ven's body in the Land of Departure, ultimately condemning him to stay trapped until she returned to free him. Thirteen years. “H-Hey, it's okay! It'll be okay.” Aqua glanced up at a pair of concerned eyes. Only now did she realize that she had curled up into a tight ball, clutching her knees with a painful force to her chest as sobs wrecked her body and tears streamed down her face freely. Sora knelt in front of her, his arms halfway stretched out towards her, but he was unsure how to proceed. Finally, he settled on shrugging off his jacket once again and now draping it over Aqua's shoulders before he timidly placed a hand one one of them. She shook her head. “I've been gone for thirteen years.” She buried her head in her hands. “I failed them again. I failed them before and now I failed them again...” “My friend blamed himself a lot for failing us,” Sora suddenly started and moved to sit down next to Aqua, their shoulders touching. “A lot happened back then. He fell into darkness, but he pulled himself out of it. He didn't forgive himself for the longest time even though we did. We never even blamed him. But he blamed himself, and that's what kept him from healing. Don't keep yourself from healing.” As discreetly as she could, Aqua dried her eyes on her sleeves before she turned her head towards Sora, seeing that he had turned his head away to give her that privacy and she was very thankful for that. “Did he heal by now?” “He still has his odd moments,” Sora answered truthfully, with a small grin, “but yeah, he did. He does need a constant reminder that we trust and love him, though. And your friends surely love you, too.” Aqua sighed and rested her forehead on her crossed arms. “Ven is trapped in our old home land and Terra... he succumbed to the darkness. I saved him from falling into the Realm of Darkness, but I have no idea whether he returned to the light or not.” “Then we'll just have to help you rescue both of them! If Riku returned from the darkness, why wouldn't Terra be able to do it?” At that mention, Aqua's head shot up and she turned to Sora with wide eyes. “Riku succumbed to the darkness?” “And overcame it on his own. Mostly.” Aqua turned away again and let her gaze fall to the sand in front of her. Was it destiny that Terra's inheritor succumbed to darkness just as Terra had? But then again – if Riku could overcome it... wasn't Terra able to do it, too? She buried her head in her arms again. Back before she fell into the Dark Realm, she would have immediately answered Yes, of course!, without a second of doubt. But now? She didn't know where he was or if he was even alive anymore. She balled one hand into a fist and dropped the other one down to her pocket, tracing the edge of the wayfinder that rested in it with her fingers. No, she knew. Terra was strong, he wasn't dead. He either defeated the darkness or was still fighting. There was no other possibility. “Aqua?” The young woman looked up again. “I mean it. You're not alone in this.” Sora crossed his arms dramatically and grinned at her. “I'm with you. And I've got powerful friends that will help, too. Kairi, Lea, Riku's even a Keyblade Master! And so is King Mickey. We can't fail with so many friends on our side!” “Riku is a Keyblade Master?” Aqua placed her hand over her heart in surprise and Sora nodded away cheerfully. “Yeah! He passed with flying colors!” The corners of her lips curled up slightly as she regarded the teen. “And Mickey is alright, too?” “We'd be in deep trouble without His Majesty and Master Yen Sid, that's for sure!” A small chuckle escaped Aqua and Sora clapped his hands in excitement. “There we go! We can't start our journey with a sad face, you know?” To avoid a happy sob, Aqua refrained from answering Sora, simply flashing him another smile before she closed her eyes and breathed in deeply, reveling in the light that shone so brightly in that boy's heart. That's when she remembered Ansem's words. A boy like him who touches so many hearts. She gasped. That was why his light was so unnaturally strong and so awfully familiar. His heart had touched Ven's heart. It was Ven's light that shone so brightly from within him! This was where Ven's heart chose to rest. And maybe many other hearts, too. Without a warning, the young woman enveloped Sora in a tight hug. She felt a telltale heat spread into the cheek that was pressed against her collar bone and felt his arms awkwardly flail behind her back, unsure how to handle the situation, but she only hugged him tighter. He gave her so much hope. For herself, for Terra, for Ven, for the worlds. “Thank you, Sora. For everything.”
  17. The curse of being one of the Princesses of heart, is that there always someone out to get you. As Xemnas looked failure in the face, he reached out in a last ditch effort and destroyed Kairi's heart. Now her friends must travel the worlds again. Sora, to find a way to recover Kairi's heart, and Riku, to make amends to those he has wronged. All the while, the darkness grows. I've been wanting to write this fanfic for forever, and I finally have some chapters to show for it. I know fanfiction isn't something that people really do for fun anymore, but here mine is. I wanted to create something original, and by what's on FF.net, I think I have. So, I hope everyone enjoys! You can find the story at Ao3 here: http://archiveofourown.org/works/8273930/chapters/18954389 And at ff.net here: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/12188662/1/My-Kingdom-for-a-Heart
  18. It's funny that I was talking about a Live-action Kingdom Hearts movie as I made a sorta draft script for it! It's sorta different from what I had in mind in my forum post, but I remembered I had it this morning and I figured I would share it! This is just a small bit of it. https://www.wattpad.com/myworks/88827644-desolation
  19. So! Movie thinking! I was thinking about how a Kingdom Hearts Live action movie would work out and this is what I got.... So it starts out with not Sora...obviously to separate the movie and game to make it it's own standalone thing. We start out in a town with a Disneyland in it (again please don't kill me). Our hero (we'll call him...Casey) is going to Disneyland after his father died and left him and his mother a pair of lifetime passes. So what's so different about this trip? Well his father left him a cryptic note along with the passes saying "the light is right in front of you". Obviously going to check this out, Casey and his mother go to Disneyland. Turns out, the girl Casey likes (we'll call her...eh...Lexi. Lets not judge before we finish please) also got lifetime passes, although she and her mother purchased theirs. As the two explore the park, they see an odd light coming from an abandoned ride that is closed for repairs. Going to investigate, Casey walks into the light and touches the globe he finds inside. When he returns to reality he sees Lexi surrounded by Heartless. He manages to get them to stop and leave her alone by, you guessed it, taking them down with his Keyblade! But upon defeating them and leaving the ride, they notice that the park is not seemingly empty, except for the Heartless! Mickey's voice is heard telling them to defeat the giant heartless in each of the attractions to unlock the final door that will lead them to the people who trapped them in the park. I'm afraid that's all I got so far...but I would like to see what you think guys! I know it sounds stupid and your first question is gonna likely be why sora isn't the main character in it...well to answer that question is in the first sentence. I wanted this to keep the familiarities of the series without trying to find someone young enough to play Sora...obviously people would complain if the person playing Sora didn't sound like him or even act like him, so best to leave him out of the the story to alleviate the tension and stress that could produce. Anyway, The idea just popped into my head and I have a small cast list...it might not work for all of you so please tell me what person should be whom... Casey-Logan Lerman (every wants him as Sora for some reason) Lexi-Chloe Grace Moretz (again people want her as Kairi so this is a good test run) Mickey-(you can already guess this one, but Mickey will be CGI animated or just simply use his 3D model from the games) Claire (Casey's mother)-Amy Poehler Cassie (Lexi's mother)-Christina Applegate Maleficent-Angelina Jolie (she played a good one already so let's bring her back to do it again!)

Many difficult ordeals were placed upon the Keyblade Wielders, and they bore witness to new allies, betrayals, destruction and death! After battling the Unborn and Dark Orion’s organization alongside these new friends, in addition to gaining the Nobodies and Unversed as allies as well, our heroes were able to fend back the forces of darkness, and so preventing further harm to the worlds. But, the war was not over…no, it had just merely begun! Three years later, after a long period of peace, a new threat emerged to threaten the worlds anew. To prevent anything bad from happening, our heroes split into groups of three and went about exploring different worlds, hoping to stop whatever threat was awaiting before it had a chance to plant its roots. Dawn, who sensed something terrible was going to happen, and having wanted to meet Riku since the battle with Dark Orion, was able to escape the fortress she lived in, with the help of her friend Valgard. Soon, after, she was finally able to meet Riku, and she tagged along with Kairi and Mickey on their journey. Along the way, Sora, Donald and Goofy were captured by the enemy, while Trish, Ventus and Kyle were beset by Jexana, a woman hell bent on having Ventus as her own! Meanwhile, Xion, Dexeres and Vanitas were hot on Sora, Donald and Goofy’s trail, hoping to find them as soon as possible! Through separate paths our heroes united, and then they bore witness to the one person behind everything: Xylek, the man who was a mere ‘underling’ for Dark Orion, had actually been the puppet master of this whole crusade the entire time! After a grueling and tiring battle, our heroes were able to defeat Xylek once and for all, but the battle was not without its toll. Roxas, Terra and Aqua ended up sacrificing their lives to ensure that the worlds would not perish, and Kyle entered a coma, no one knowing when he would awaken. Trish and Ventus remained under Jexana’s care, and Riku had been fatally wounded, and the worlds were shaken asunder by Xylek’s madness. But, if all these sacrifices had been able to stop his plans, then the hurt would have been easier to bear…but, it was not to be. Even though Xylek is no more, his plans have already been set in motion, and now, Keyblade Wielders from all corners of the universe, and other universes are now gathering to fight for their own reasons, coming together to usher a new Keyblade War! Our heroes were not able to stop this from happening. They were powerless to do anything about it. Now, all they can do is cling to any sliver of hope they have, for the war that is to come shall be catastrophic, and it could mean the end of everything…the beginning of the end… (End Song Here) Prologue: The Death Of Hope (Start Song Here) The sky was darkening. Everyone in Disney Town, who were a safe distance away, were looking upwards, as small dots appeared in the sky, seeming to head towards their direction! Queen Minnie instantly felt a shiver down her spine…she knew that this was an ill omen. She looked towards Daisy, Chip and Dale, and the few other citizens who survived from the chaos that had decimated their homes, and she couldn’t help but feel despair. She stood there, powerless, unable to do anything to comfort them. She was too scared…she didn’t know what to do now. She clasped her hands together as a tear rolled down her cheek, and through soft, whispered sobs, she started to pray. “Oh Mickey…wherever you are, please be safe! I fear something terrible is about to happen!” she said to herself softly, and then she felt a hand on her shoulder, and when she glanced back, it was Daisy, who was standing by her side. “Minnie, we have to get our people to safety. I’m pretty sure that whatever those things in the sky are can’t be anything good!” she urged as she glanced back at everyone. The Queen sighed. “B-but what can we do, Daisy? I’m scared…I-I don’t know what to tell everyone! What should we tell them?” she asked in distress. Daisy gave a compassionate and sad expression and she slightly tensed. “We’ll tell them that it’ll all be okay…we need to give our people hope! As long as King Mickey and the others are alive, things will turn out okay!” Daisy answered, and Minnie smiled momentarily, but then her smile faded into a frown. “Daisy…I need you to get everyone to safety…” the Queen said, and Daisy raised her eyebrow. “Wait…what about you?” she asked, worrying at what the Queen’s answer would be. Suddenly, Cid came running towards them, panting and sweating, as though he had been running for miles. The Queen then turned around to face him. “Your Majesty, the airship is ready! I finished all the modifications as fast as I could! We’re ready to leave!” he said in between huffs, and the Queen nodded. “Good…now take everyone, and get as far away from here as you can! Find somewhere safe for everyone!” the Queen commanded, and Cid nodded sadly. “Yes, your Majesty…now come on everyone, let’s go, follow me!” Cid urged as he ran towards the airship, and everyone else followed suit, until only Daisy remained. Tears were forming in her eyes. “You’re not coming with us…are you?” she asked, and the Queen, walking towards her and holding her hands, nodded sadly. “No, I am not. Daisy, you need to take care of everyone in my stead! I’ll try to hold off whatever those things are! I need to do this…for our people.” she said with ironclad determination. Daisy huffed and tapped her foot. “N-No, I can’t accept this! I won’t leave without you!” she said, pleading for the Queen to come. But the Queen simply hugged her lifelong friend, trying to hold her tears, and then she pulled away, holding her hands. “My dearest friend Daisy, you don’t know how much I’ve cherished our friendship together for all these years! We’ve been on so many adventures together, and we’ve been through good times and bad times! Throughout the years, I’ve cherished all the moments we’ve been able to spend time together! There’s nothing I value more than our friendship! That’s why I’m asking you to please lead our people! I know this will be hard road for you, but with time, you’ll be able to manage things without me…but please don’t try to stop me. My heart is commanding me to do this, and I will not waver. Please, as my lifelong friend, fulfill my request!” the Queen pleaded, trying persistently hard to hold back her tears. Daisy remained silent for a few moments, and then she nodded slowly, also holding back her tears, and with a look of determination on her face. “I’ll do my best, Minnie…” was all she could manage to say, and with that, she turned away and ran towards the airship along with everyone else, and Minnie, who turned around to look at the direction of Disney Castle, shed tears anew. “Farewell…my dearest friend…” she whispered, and as soon as the airship had departed, Minnie closed her eyes and then prepared herself for what was to come. (End Song Here) --- (Start Song Here) At that same moment, in the sky, Jexana was looking down on Disney castle from her airship, and Ventus quietly stood beside her, lifeless and stoic. She had quite the amused smirk on her face. She knew that the worlds were now at their breaking point, and destroying what was left of King Mickey and Queen Minnie’s world would be the first step in bringing down opposition. While contently viewing what lay below, Emmxett suddenly appeared from inside the airship, alongside two soldiers. He walked towards Jexana and then stood by her side, gazing outwards to the ever expanding sky, and then gazing down at Disney Castle. He noticed that everything looked barren and destroyed. He then looked at Jexana. “It would seem that everyone has left this world.” he commented. Jexana, whom turned around and then touched Ventus’s face, only kept smirking. “Yes, the pests went flying away…all except one!” she said as she pointed towards a hill that was a short distance away from the castle. Emmxett squinted his eyes, and then he saw Queen Minnie, who was simply standing there. He felt quite amused. “Huh, so the Queen decided to stay? I wonder what good that’ll do? She won’t be able to take out our airship fleet! What does she aim to do?” he asked, and Jexana chuckled and then hugged Ventus and glanced back to where Minnie was. “The fool’s making a diversion. She thinks that by staying behind, she’ll be able to buy enough time for her friends to escape. An admirable effort, I must say, but it’s all in vain. Even if they get far, we’ll still catch up to them.” she answered calmly. Emmxett then crossed his arms. “So, shall I deploy the ground troops and scour this world for anything of value?” he asked, but Jexana shook her head. “No, there’s no need. We’ll destroy this place with an air strike. That little Queen won’t survive.” she answered with confidence. “Right. Then we’ll proceed with the air strike! Men, let’s move out!” Emmxett commanded. “Sir!” the soldiers shouted as they heeded Emmxett’s command, and with that, they headed back inside the airship. “You will die for nothing, little Queen!” Jexana burst out as she laughed joyfully. Ventus slightly moved his arms to hold Jexana close. “Is there anything I can do…my love?” he asked slowly, but Jexana shook her head and made a satisfying smile. “No, my dearest, there’s no need for you to do anything. All you have to do is stay by my side!” she answered as she happily kissed his lips, and then she looked down upon the ruins of Disney Castle, clearly enjoying herself. --- Down below, the Queen was already prepared for the inevitable. If she had to be sacrificed in order to ensure the survival of all her loved ones, she’d gladly give away her life. But, that didn’t mean she was going to down without a fight! As she closed her eyes, the Queen concentrated her energy, and seconds later, giant pillars of light surrounded her in the form of a pentagon, and then, when she opened her eyes, she sent forth one of the pillars, and when it was near the fleet of airships, she waved her hand, causing the pillar to burst in a fantastic explosion! At first, she thought she hadn’t done any damage, but when she looked closely, she saw that three airships had fallen to their destruction! She smiled and felt confident, and she looked up at the sky. But, soon after, the lead airship came down until it reached the Queen, and from the airship’s deck, Jexana leapt down, landing gracefully on the ground, and then Ventus proceeded to follow suit. The Queen opened her eyes in shock as she saw Ventus. Why was he with the enemy? That’s what she thought, but then she noticed his eyes were pale, and at that point, she assumed he was under a spell. Jexana clapped her hands slowly and she looked in the direction where the three airships had fallen, and then she turned her attention to the Queen again. “I have to say, I’m quite impressed! I didn’t imagine you would be able to take down ships of my fleet!” she remarked, and the Queen smirked, standing at the ready for her next attack. “Well, I’m glad to have made an impression on you! Anything less would be an insult.” the Queen replied. Jexana scoffed and then she summoned forth dark snakes from the ground, and the snakes weaved into her arms, and then one of the snake’s heads curled up in Jexana’s right hand, and she pointed it at the Queen. “You really have some nerve, trying to oppose me! Some nerve, indeed!” Jexana growled, but the Queen ignored her comment as she continued to gaze at Ventus. Jexana, catching up on what was going on, smirked and bore a mocking expression. “Ah, I bet you’re wondering what happened to your former friend, correct? Well, to put a long story short, I liberated him from himself. Now he belongs to me!” she said, her face beaming with pride. The Queen simply laughed and crossed her arms. “That little trick of yours won’t last for long! I know Ventus, and right now, I know that he’s struggling to be free of you! He will break free!” the Queen proclaimed defiantly, and at that, Jexana snapped and wrapped the Queen up with her dark snakes, and then she slapped the Queen’s face. “How dare you!?” Jexana growled, but then she soon regained her composure and cleared her throat. “It doesn’t matter what you say…you are already doomed.” she said, and with a snap of her fingers, all the airships in the sky started raining down endless explosive barrels, and when they struck the ground, Disney Town and what was left of Disney Castle turned to ashes. The Queen, who had been determined one moment, was now bursting in tears the next. Jexana destroyed the remaining pillars of light the Queen had summoned, and then she laughed as she saw the Queen suffering. “You monster…” the Queen whispered, as she bowed her head, defeated, unable to move. Jexana then knelt down to see eye to eye with the Queen, and then she rubbed her head. “Ah, and where is the Queen who was outright defying me just mere seconds ago? Did she already cower away!?” Jexana mocked with utmost cruelty, and the Queen continued to cry. “How could you do this….how could you!? You’ve destroyed the homes of countless people, and now they may never be able to return here! How is it that you can do this without feeling the slightest bit of remorse!?” the Queen asked, demanding to know. “The simple reason for it all is that I simply can. That’s all there is to it. Worry not, little Queen. You did admirably. But even with your efforts, your home was still destroyed. But don’t worry…you won’t have to live with this pain…not anymore.” Jexana whispered as she smirked. --- Meanwhile, in the Lanes Between, a solitary airship flies through. It’s not as big as Jexana’s airships, but it’s not that small either. Rather, the airship looks like it’s built to be extremely agile. As the airship continues its calm and steady trek through the Lanes Between, a moogle comes out onto the deck, tired and wanting nothing more than to sit down and relax. The moogle has two pon pons, one colored blue, and the other colored red, and also has a heart shaped charm around its neck. The moogle sighs and holds onto its charm, and it closes its eyes, ready to sleep. But, soon after, a teenage boy comes out to the deck as well. The boy is decked out in pirate attire, and he’s tanned skinned with short, black hair. He has an eye patch over his left eye and a scar on his left cheek, and he has a hook for a left hand. The boy looks at the moogle and stands firm. “Oi, who told you to take a nap? We’ve got work to do!” he said to the moogle. Distressed, said moogle flapped its wings weakly and whined. “Aw, but we’ve been at this for days now, kupo! Can’t we take a short break?” the moogle pleaded, but the boy shook his head. “There are no breaks now…we can’t afford to take breaks.” the boy said grimly, and with no other words being uttered, the moogle quietly goes into position and continues to do what it was tasked to do. Soon after, the boy followed suit. Suddenly, a star went out. The moogle gasped. “Oh no! Is that what I think it is, kupo?” the moogle asked the boy in distress. The boy looked intently in the direction where the star had gone out, and he sighed and then looked at the moogle and nooded. “Yes. A world has fallen to darkness, never to return…” the boy said grimly. (End Song Here) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The universe is now on the brink of bearing witness to the greatest Keyblade War that has ever taken place! 22. A/N: Hello! And welcome to my first ever KH fanfiction! This is my attempt at creating a retelling of the KH series from KH1 and onward. This story will have many alterations from canon - two major examples being a universe where Sora, Riku, and Kairi are best friends who have an unbreakable and fully trusting friendship/relationship. And where King Mickey, fearing the worst is upon them - created a 'Council Of Light' in order to prepare for an inevitable war. This universe will be a bit more darker atmosphere wise (there won't be any blood or gore save for a few cuts and such tho) and the darkness is a lot more ravenous and destructive than in canon. There will be worlds that appeared in KH1 that are swallowed up by darkness early on as well as new worlds that have not been in the KH series yet. The good guys WILL lose battles in the beginning and the darkness will be more powerful than canon. I will be putting a bigger empathize on minor/Disney characters and will give alternate storylines for each world. This will be a long saga and I hope you all enjoy what I have in store! A warning however, my updates are sporadic and thus I cannot give a definite answer when a new chapter will be made, I apologize in advanced. So! Let's get this show on the road! :'] [This is also uploaded on KH Insider and soon on AO3!] Hope you enjoy! _______________________________________________________________________________________ Outshine Act I "Starless" Across the expansive backdrop of the midnight sky lied a canvas of jewel like lights that twinkled merrily through the dark. It was times like these that Mickey Mouse was glad things were generally peaceful in his world. Stargazing was an enjoyable pastime in which he could relax and let the burdens of kingship slip away, if only for an hour or two. Under the cosmos he was not a ruler – but just another normal, average mortal in the eyes of the universe that would never judge him or anyone else for that matter. As he stared at the stars above his joy quickly evaporated as the sight of one of the pinpricks of light winked out of existence. 'Gosh, another star gone – and so soon...' Wide cartoonish eyes stared at the spot where a world once stood a frown curling on his visage. If something wasn't done soon the night sky he loved so much would be starless. Mood ruined the tiny king jumped down from his sitting position on the windowsill of one of Disney Castle's high towers. It seemed that things were getting worse out there. More worlds were being devoured by the Heartless every night it seemed. It was saddening to know that more innocent hearts were suffering because of the growing darkness. The sadness slowly and steadily churning into grief and anger as a angry scowl appeared on the royal mouse's face as he traveled further within in the castle walls from the tower above. 'I haft ta do something! I can't let this continue anymore! Too many lives are at stake!' He thought furiously as he marched towards his office not even noticing as his dear beloved queen – Minnie Mouse called out to him until her white gloved hand fell on his small shoulder causing him to nearly jump ten feet in the air. "Gah! G-Gosh Minnie – ya scared me!" He yelped surprised as he turned around ending up practically nose to nose with the love of his life. Her hands were on her hips as she gave him a stern stare before it dispersed into a small, amused smile. "Mickey dear, I called you three times and couldn't get your attention! You should be more observant!" She admonished lightly as the king blushed embarrassed. "Gee, you're right Minnie! I guess I got a lot on my mind is all." He confessed with an upset expression. Worry spread on the female mouse's face as she held her lover by the sides of his face. "You know you can talk to me about anything dear... Whatever is bothering you, tell me – it's not good to burden your heart with heavy feelings." Putting a hand on her's he gave a comforting warm smile as he nodded. He pulled away with a sigh as he beckoned her to follow him towards his office. Once inside he made his way to his chair behind the large desk as Minnie stood in front of it her hands clasped lightly. "It's about tha' stars – another one went out tonight." A small gasp escaped the dress wearing anthromorph as her hands flew up to her mouth in reflex. "Another?!" A solemn nod was her answer as she looked down worriedly. "That's why I've decided... to call upon the council." Mickey said seriously his expression hardened. "The council? Is it really at that point...?" She questioned fearing that the worst has already happened. "No, not yet at least – but – I can't sit around any longer we hafta act before it's too late!" A sigh escaped the queen's lips as she nodded with a tiny reassuring smile. "I see – very well, I agree but only if you let me in on the meetings – I wish to be present for them. This concerns me as queen as well you know!" Knowing that he couldn't argue with his wife on the subject he gave a nod and a smile before pressing a large red button on the corner of his desk. A newly installed monitor by his good friends Chip and Dale – turned on showing the face of a white furred, female mouse with blonde hair and a pair of goggles on her head. "Gadget? What are you doin' there? Where's Chip n' Dale?" Inquired the confused monarch as the inventor looked up from whatever she was working on. "Oh! Your majesty! Sorry, Chip n' Dale went out to oversee the new shipments of gummi blocks we ordered! It's just little ol' me at the moment –how can I help you today?" She squeaked wiping a smudge off her face as queen Minnie giggled lightly at the tinkering mouse, as she had come around to her husband's side of the desk to hear the conversation better. "Oh, right – I need ya to get a hold of Donald, Daisy, and Goofy as well as..." He breathed in a serious expression replacing his amused one. "It's time to call upon the council." He stated with conviction. As Gadget's blue eyes widened in shock before she straightened her spine and saluted respectively towards her king and queen. "Yes sir! Your majesty! It will be done at once! Gadget over and out!" As the screen went black the diminutive king rose from his large comfy chair as he turned towards his wife. "Welp, it'll take until morning for the whole council to arrive – master Yensid and Merlin withstanding, so I think we should turn in for the night." The couple agreed that sleep was needed to wake up bright and early for the coming dawn. It would be a big eventful day tomorrow after all... With that both King and Queen mice headed to their rooms to sleep. Meanwhile far across the sea of stars on a tiny island world sat three young teenagers on a curved palm tree that held strange star shaped fruits."Hey, do you guys really think we'll see other worlds when we get on the raft tomorrow?" Questioned a young boy with suntanned skin, oddly spiky brown hair, and eyes as bright as the mid-noon sky. "Don't tell me you're doubting everything now, Sora?" Came the teasing voice of another male his voice slightly deeper. He had moonspun silver hair that reached past his earlobes, slightly pale skin, and mature looking aquamarine green eyes – ones that shone with a powerful determination and a hint of amusement. "Of course not Riku! I'm just wondering! I mean – how long will it take? The other worlds are far away right? Scattered, just like Kairi's Grandma's story said!" The silver haired boy gave a grunt before replying "Who knows? It might take one day or even a week – we can't predict these things." A soft obviously feminine voice giggled lightly at her friends antics. The third of the trio and the only girl had eyes as blue and beautiful as the ocean. Her skin was on the fair side and her hair was a bright fiery red. "If you're so worried Sora then we can stock up on more food! Besides, I'm sure the journey won't be too long and if it is – you can always sleep through it, you lazy bum~"A huff was heard as the brunette whined childishly at his friend's nickname for him. "Kairi~! I told you not to call me that!" The other two children broke out into laughter – Riku's a bit more subdued than his female friend – as Sora pouted obviously not pleased with their teasing. "Well then, see you guys tomorrow!" Kairi called out as she made her way to the rowing boats. "And don't you dare sleep in you lazy bum~!" She added loudly in a singsong voice. An indignant shout of "Hey!" Was heard as Riku made his way past his friend to his own rowboat –Sora quickly catching up to go to his own. The day had ended on their little slice of paradise as the three best friends dreamed of the adventures that they would soon experience. Unknowing of what the future held as the night skies darkened with storm clouds and yet another star blinked out.
  23. Prologue: The Awakening "In ancient times people believed that light was gift from an unseen land by the name of Kingdom Hearts. However Kingdom Hearts was safeguarded by it's counterpart the X-Blade. Warriors vied for that precious light thus beginning the Keyblade War. But the violent clash shattered the X-Blade into twenty pieces. Seven of light...and thirteen of darkness " In a barren wasteland where rusted, and lifeless keys once waged war stood a man of elder age. The land itself was scarred, and ravaged but had otherwise lay untouched by anything other then time. Surrounding the man were the once powerful keys wielded by ancient Chasers of Light, and the infamous Seekers of Darkness. The man stood there with his eyes closed as a gentle breeze lightly ruffled his long jacket. He then turned opening his eyes as their golden sheen reflected the setting sun. A young boy of seventeen stood before him. The boy too had golden colored eyes with the same look of unquenchable curiosity the elder man had once wore. He wore a sleeveless grey jacket over a white shirt with matching grey pants. His hair was a long mane of silver, and he had the developed tan of an islander. Like the elder man that stood before him this boy's name was Xehanort. The two contemplated each other before the one of them spoke. "Who are you?" asked the younger Xehanort. The elder man just waved his hand, and three weapons appeared before him. He pointed to the three weapons and spoke in a gnarled voice."Power sleeps within you. If you give it form it will give you strength," he said. The elder Xehanort pointed at the first weapon a magnificent sword. "Power of the warrior. Invincible courage. A sword of terrible destruction," said the elder Xehanort. He pointed to the next weapon a mighty shield. "Power of the guardian. Kindness to aid friends. A shield to repel all." Finally he pointed to the last weapon a magical staff."Power of the mystic. Inner strength. A staff of wonder and ruin." The elder Xehanort pointed to the young boy before him "Choose!" he shouted. The younger Xehanort contemplated for a moment before reaching for the sword. The sword disappeared in a flash of light, and Xehanort felt of a pulse of power flow through him. The elder Xehanort lifted his hand, and summoned a Keyblade much like the ones that surrounded him. A creepy smile played across his face as he opened his mouth and spoke. "Your heart belongs again to darkness." He swung his Keyblade in a powerful arc sending a strong gust of wind swirling towards his younger counterpart. The ground beneath them began tremble as powerful gusts wind forcefully blew the lifeless Keyblades from the ground. The elder Xehanort smiled as darkness began to ravage the surrounding land. The ground cracked as the younger Xehanort struggled to stay to his feet. The darkness swallowed everything pulling Xehanort into it's depths. As Xehanort felt himself lose consciousness the last thing he saw was the smile of his elder counterpart. A world where nothing gathered. Existing on the edges of both light, and darkness. Inhabited by those never supposed to exist this world was built of discarded remains left behind by other worlds. The once scattered pieces now formed magnificent skyscrapers. In the center of the city was an airborne fortress that floated in the sky dominating it's view. In it's highest tower top Xehanort regained his consciousness. He stood up, and gauged his surroundings. Before him stood a large muscular man wearing a large black hooded coat. The man's hood was up, and his back was faced towards Xehanort as he looked up to the sky. "Who are you?" asked Xehanort. The man turned towards Xehanort and lifted back his hood. The man wore a long mane of messy silver hair and he too had golden eyes. The man lifted his hand and the word Ansem appeared. The man flicked his wrist and the letters started to swirl around him until again he flicked his wrist. As he did an X was added to the now scrambled name. The name now spelled Xemnas. He opened his mouth and spoke in a deep silky voice. "I am what's left or maybe I'm all there ever was." Xemnas turned around and lifted his hands to the sky. As he did images of countless worlds appeared before him. Xehanort stepped back and gaped in awe at what he saw. Xemnas turned on the spot and smiled. Lifting his hand he summoned a Keyblade. It was the very same one wielded by the man before him. "All worlds begin in darkness-" he said in his enigmatic voice. He pointed his Keyblade at the worlds above and shot a beam of darkness to the sky. The darkness swallowed the worlds as the castle itself began to tremble, and collapse. Once again Xehanort found himself struggling to stay to his feet as the castle began to crumble beneath him. Xehanort felt himself slip once more into the darkness as he caught one last glimpse of Xemnas. Xehanort awoke next in complete shadows. No floor could be seen and he appeared to be floating in mid air. He looked around and gasped in awe. In front of him the decimated remains of the worlds Xemnas had displayed earlier floated before him. Even more troubling were the massive balls of energy that were congregating from those remains and moving towards each other. "The inevitable reality of all worlds is ironic is it not?" asked a menacing voice. Xehanort turned around and was met with a sneering face. He had a similar appearance to Xemnas but his face and attire bore an uncanny resemblance to the elder man he originally met. "What do you mean? Who are you? What's going on here?" asked Xehanort. The man let out a bone chilling laugh and pointed to the remains of the worlds. "The worlds you see before have succumbed to the power of darkness. Just like myself they have cast aside their shackles and embraced the darkness. Their hearts are now free to reunite as a collective whole," he said. Xehanort shook his head and pointed to the senseless destruction. "This doesn't seem right though," he said. The man laughed once more "You understand so little. One who knows nothing can understand NOTHING!" he said. He pointed to the world's hearts "Each world is born from darkness emerging into the world of light. From there it spends it's entire existence being protected from the very source from which it came. That protection acts as it's prison forever confined by the light. You see darkness' true essence is freedom; a freedom all hearts inevitably crave!" he cried. Xehanort looked at him and asked once more. "Who are you?" The man lifted his hands to the air summoning a keyblade the same one as his predecessors."It is I Ansem the Purveyor of Freedom, the Seeker of Darkness!" he shouted. Darkness began pouring out from Ansem's body and began engulfing the entire area. "So all world's begin-" Ansem shouted, as the darkness began to entrap Xehanort pulling him lower and lower into it's depths. "-and all so end!" he finished. A magnificent, and beautiful kingdom known throughout the worlds as the City of Light. In the central square just outside the main town stood a man who radiated great power. He looked very similar to Xemnas but with a much shorter crop of silver hair. His attire looked out of place compared to the world that surrounded him. He was dressed in the traditional garb of the ancient Keyblade Warriors. The man's golden eyes had a dazed look almost as if he was not quite sure where he really was. As Xehanort came to the man looked down at him. Xehanort pushed himself up and took a cautious step forward. "What is it you guys are trying to show me?" asked Xehanort. The man reached out and grabbed Xehanort by the throat. He then lifted Xehanort off the ground with startling strength. "Who am I?" he asked. Xehanort struggled against the man's grip when he was abruptly dropped to the ground. The man suddenly doubled over in pain clutching his head with both hands. He then stood up and opened his eyes, a dark smirk painted on his lips. He summoned his Keyblade the same one wielded by all the others and spoke. "You think yourself so different?" he asked. He swung his Keyblade in a heavy downward arc that Xehanort swiftly dodged. The man let out diabolical laugh. " I will guide you to the depths of darkness! Only there will you find the one truth that matters!" he shouted. The man tossed his Keyblade into the air and caught it. He followed up by planting his Keyblade firmly into the ground as it crackled with dark energy. As darkness poured from the man's Keyblade he pointed at Xehanort. "Your heart is no different. Darkness sprouts within it. It grows, consumes it. Such is it's nature!" he shouted. Suddenly an explosion of dark energy erupted from his Keyblade knocking Xehanort unconscious. Xehanort awoke to the familiar sound of waves gently washing over the pristine beach. He got up and found he was now on one the islands of his home. This particular island was familiar to him as he had spent many a childhood hours playing here. He had even built many of the tree houses with the help of his father. "Was it all a dream?" he asked aloud. He walked towards the water and looked out to the setting sun. He thought about what he had seen. However he found that thinking about it brought only more questions. He sighed in frustration at the limited answers his home provided to his many questions. Questions of a world much larger then his own. The very idea of it made Xehanort feel tiny, and insignificant. He stared out to vast stretch of sky before him. "This world is just too small," he said aloud. He looked over to his left and saw a boy with a black coat standing on island across the bridge. The hooded figure too looked out at the sunset and instinctively Xehanort knew they had both been thinking about the same thing. Xehanort jumped up onto the bridge and crossed it. He approached the black hooded figure "Xemnas?" asked Xehanort. The figure turned around and removed his hood as Xehanort stepped back in shock. This time Xehanort definitively recognized who he was. Standing before him was an exact doppelganger of himself. The two Xehanorts stared at each other, their golden eyes reflecting one another. The black coated Xehanort lifted his hand offering it to Xehanort as he spoke. "In the end every heart returns to the darkness whence it came," he said. The black coated Xehanort turned around as an aura of darkness erupted from his body and consumed the entire island.
