  1. Somebody on miiverse shown me this information. It seems to be a female version of Link and her name is Linkle. You can check the picture out in the following link: http://zeldawiki.org/images/2/22/Hyrule_Warriors_Linkle_Concept.png
  2. This was pointed out by a few who were really following the Hyrule Warriors news. No idea how you get it, but as you can see below, Impa is wearing the Mask of Truth. It's speculated that more masks are available to the characters within the game. Who they are and which masks they'll get is unknown. Original Image:
  3. At first I was against the idea that zelda u should be an open world game. I know it's been confirmed though, but now I think that zelda u is going to be a good game without any type of linearity in it. The game might be just like minecraft and skyrim, where the game is so opened and barely has any story(I doubt that zelda u will not have a story and I know that minecraft doesn't have a story at all) that people won't care about it, or won't even think about it. I think this sometimes happens with all games that don't have their primary focus in story. I like linear games more than open world games, but I'm trying to open myself up so I can enjoy non-linear games.
  4. Zelda games got released every 2 years since 2007. This doesn't count remakes, remasters, and spinoffs. Phantom hourglass: 2007 Spirit Tracks: 2009 Skyward Sword: 2011 A Link Between Worlds: 2013 Zelda U: 2015
  5. Even though Hyrule Warriors is only a week away from release, we already have an amazing DLC lineup into February of next year. First off, we have Cia, Volga, and Wizzro joining the disc based roster in another update. We'll be able to use them on the day we pic up our copies. As for the rest of the DLC, we'll be purchasing them for a nice price. The first DLC, dubbed "Hyrule Warriors Master Quest" comes out in October 16th and adds 2 new costumes, a new Adventure map, a new weapon, and a new scenario. Then we have a Twilight Princess Pack and a Majora's Mask Pack, both of which include not only new costumes, but new characters altogether. Then there's a Ganon Pack that includes two new game modes. Finally, you can pre-order all them together at the likely price of $15 and get a Dark Link costume as an added bonus. Now, everything at the link provided will list the price in Yen, but Nintendo of Europe tweeted the Dark Link skin, so my bet is these packs will be purchasable from the eShop on Day 1 of the English Hyrule Warriors release. 6. It's mostly running several E3 trailers together, but it's a better way to market the system. I dun care about the consoles memory, or frame speed, I care about the games and it's about time someone realizes that's what gamers tend to care about.
  7. For a long time running, almost 30 years now, The Legend of Zelda has been a staple Nintendo series. We've had plenty of great experiences, from Ocarina of Time to Skyward Sword, and plenty unfortunate ones we never like to name off (CD-i). It's a series about being a hero, not because the story tells you that you are one, but because your sense of adventuring and discovery leads to becoming one. But why is it that the adventure is gone? Why are we following laws and rules to play a game about adventuring? Why are we being forced along a line instead of being able to journey wherever we please? The answer to that: the fans. No, it's not Nintendo. I mean, yeah, Nintendo develops the games and they give us what's in it, but what's in it, is what fans want. Unfortunately there's a large chain of unraveling events that this causes. The Legend of Zelda is losing fans with each new addition to the series. Why is this happening? Because the newer games are adding no conventions, nothing new, it's all the same thing every time. Nintendo does this because this is what the fans want. But why do fans want that? Because it's what Zelda is. Because I can't see it working that way. Because I dun like new ideas and conventions is more like it. What about us makes it that Nintendo should follow our rules and not their own? Why must Nintendo throw away new ideas to help justify a close minded community. No one wants to do that, Aonuma's sick of it even. Aonuma wants to add new conventions to the Zelda series. He wants to go back to the open world. He wants to add in an ability for us to make the story as we mak our choices. An idea like that allows for a better sense of adventure and allows every player to have their own, unique experience. Other things Aonuma would like to do is set in the spin off title, Hyrule Warriors. Hyrule Warriors has strong female protagonists. Hyrule Warriors has customization. Hyrule Warriors has action packed abilities. Hell, there's even a sense of adventure in it and it's practically a Dynasty Warriors game. These conventions could carry over to future main titles if Hyrule Warriors is a well recepted game. Hyrule Warriors gave Aonuma a sense of freedom because he could have the devs do whatever they wanted to the Zelda series. Aonuma wasn't bound to the rules that we, as a close minded community, have set for him. As a fan base, we should always keep an open mind, but few of us actually do. I've never seen a fan base as horribly close minded as the Zelda fan base. It makes me just a little more disappointed that I'm even able to include myself in the community. 8. HE is a SHE! Done deal! Y'all can go home now! Just kidding. Source: http://www.zeldainformer.com/news/nintendo-has-officially-ended-the-sheik-gender-debate#.U-FAPPldUzy
  9. Remember that really kickass fan-made Majora's Mask trailer from a couple years ago, that got many fans to believe it was a leaked E3 trailer? Well, the guys behind it are still hard at work with this project. Here's a bunch of cool new models and whatnot.
  10. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2014/08/the_legend_of_zelda_monopoly_dated_for_15th_september_in_us This sound really cool... But of course, Gamestop is even claiming exclusives for a BOARD GAME. Aside from that, I'm really interested in this, and I might end up getting it.
  11. For those of you who've been waiting for the next Nintendo Direct, you may or may not be surprised that our latest one will exclusively cover Hyrule Warriors. I'm expecting at least two character reveals and the DLC being localized as well. I'll be very surprised if there's any news on a Special Edition.
  12. If you're a fan of Monster Hunter and Zelda, you're sure to love this. This is the one thing from Monster Hunter 4 in Japan that I hoped would return for the English releases of Monster Hunter 4 (Ultimate). The gear is free to use for either gender, so while I continue to dream of the day they'll allow the option to play as either gender in Zelda, I'll spend it being FemLink in MH4U.
