Hey everyone! It's been a whole minute since I've seriously posted something here but I've been working on this particular topic for a few months now, and I would really appreciate being able to share it with all of you and hopefully spark a discussion. This particular topic is something I often like to think about and concerns the whole series and it's worldbuilding in KH. I've been typing it out in google docs to keep track of it but I'm feeling to lazy to rewrite up the whole thing so please click the link -.-' https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WD1vxaPpc5mcez14LvyS_3WAaonR9lP-M7epAF71gGU/edit?usp=sharing What do you think could be done to improve it, or do you even think it needs to be done?

Hello I am new here. Just recently got psvr and daydream phone. Watch with PSVR or DayDream VR on android! Retro game Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep in stunning VR! I captured using an android phone. Note: Retro games have a 2d screen and no left or right. I made it curve enough to view straight, turning head left, right, top, and bottom. Back view is the screen repeat, so no official back view. Thoughts good, bad, constructive criticism, comments. All are welcome. Edit December 7 2017: My first virtual reality game project is Kingdom Hearts BBS. The plan is to show the cut-scenes, boss fights, mirage arena, mini games, and a showing of the level scenery. Note: part 2 of the movie is better quality. The Movie Playlist VR Sample playlist - includes FF7, Spyro 2, and KH BBS Opening and Game-play

Over the years, I've seen many people be confused as to why Sora and Riku had to do so much more for their Mark of Mastery than Aqua and Terra. Aqua and Terra trained their whole life for their Mark of Mastery. Sora and Riku didn't. Sora and Riku's Mark of Mastery was also their training. Their Mark of Mastery was so much more difficult than Aqua and Terra's because they had to make up for the years of training they missed. The Mark of Mastery and becoming a Keyblade Master isn't about whether you can save the world or not. It's about being traditionally trained. For example, becoming a black belt in Karate has nothing to do with whether you can save the world or win a fight or not. It has to do with if you have mastered the traditional skills you have been taught. The title of "Keyblade Master" is nothing more than a formality.

Hello everyone! I have been trying to figure out just how old Terra, Ventus and Aqua are, relative to their current situations. For the longest time, we assumed that Terra was the oldest of the group. Now, there is the major revelation that Ventus is in fact from the time of the Keyblade War/World of Light, and was somehow displaced into the future (BBS era). What I want to know is, did Nomura ever confirm the actual ages of TVA, or have they always been left open to interpretation? We know that none of these characters have naturally aged since the end of BBS, due to bodily possession, being in a comatose state, and being trapped in a realm where time does not flow in a usual manner. Also, is it true that the Keyblade War took place only a century before the start of BBS/KH1? I was under the impression that it had happened thousands of years ago. If that is true, than it could be estimated that Ventus is over 100 years old, but hasn't aged due to some form of time travel, and being comatose for a long time. Any help in clearing this up would be greatly appreciated! If need be, I will try to find any (older) interviews from Nomura that may answer my question directly, though the new story/lore addition with Ventus certainly changes some conceptions many of us likely had.

Yen Press announced on their official Twitter through various Tweets that they would be releasing English omnibuses of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days and Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, also posting pictures of the potential covers for each. While the three original 358/2 Days novels will be collected in a single omnibus, it is unclear whether the Birth by Sleep omnibus will collect all three original volumes as well, or only two, followed by the third novel as an independent release. Regarding the Birth by Sleep novels, Yen Press's only comment was: Yen Press went on to confirm that the previously announced Kingdom Hearts II novel would be released in 2 omnibuses. You can view potential covers released by Yen Press below. So far no details have been given as to release dates for either the 358/2 Days or Birth by Sleep novels. Which omnibus are you looking forward to the most? Let us know in the comments! Click here to view the article

So, for awhile now I've wanted to do a painting of Aqua based on the opening cinematic from 2.8 and was unable to do it back when the trailer came out due to being busy with work and other stuff. However, I finally managed to get some time to work on it and well here's the result:

I wanted to talk about this for awhile; get my thoughts out on these forums, and maybe we can get some good discussion going. This is regarding the three main characters of Birth by Sleep: Terra, Aqua, and Ven. I don't like them. Not in the sense that they're "annoying characters" or in context of the game they're bad; it's literally because I don't think Square did a good job on establishing their personalities, characteristics, and most importantly, the character relationships between the three of them. When we compare them to the original trio Sora, Riku, and Kairi, they just seem...bland and boring. Terra is a teenage boy with a lust for Darkness inside his heart. Okay, so what's next? We basically know nothing about him aside from that. He goes to a world, becomes a villain (usually due to stupid decisions), learns his mistake, then becomes a villain again in the next world. It's unbelievably frustrating. Ventus is the youngest of the trio, and boring as hell. He acts somewhat similarly to Sora, but just less...interesting. Sora had specific traits and qualities that made him somewhat unique amongst others, even if his personality is the typical cliche "naive happy-go-lucky child". Ventus is basically a slightly diminished version of Sora's personality...with nothing else. The only thing of significance that's related to him is Vanitas, and even then, that doesn't stop him from being forgettable. Aqua is perhaps the most level headed out of the three, but honestly she doesn't have many interesting traits either. Ironically though (despite her awful voice acting in the English version), she is probably the most interesting out of the three (that's not saying much though) as she's the only one with a logical mind, and has a motivation behind her actions as she's trying to lookout for Terra and Ven, being the only Keyblade Master of the three. That being said, I can deal with these problems. However, what I do have grudge against is the relationship between the three. Their dialogue is awkward, and their friendship just doesn't seem very legitimate. The game attempts to prove their friendship at the beginning by showing them interacting for a few minutes and having a few sparring matches. The problem is that it really doesn't show me anything or give me any clue that they may be friends. They try to make up for this lack of character development by adding it on later on in the form of flashbacks, but that doesn't show me anything either. It just seems that the game is trying to desperately tell you that they're friends, even if they don't seem to act like so. You can't do that. You can't just tell me, "these people are friends" and expect me to believe that. People said the ending of BBS was depressing and sad. For me, I didn't feel anything. I didn't connect with these people throughout the game. The game told me they were friends, alright, but that's not enough for me. You have to SHOW me that they are friends with each other, that they care about each other, and show me HOW their character interaction/development strengthens their friendship. Just telling me "these three people are friends" is not enough, because if I don't see it in the way they act, I won't give a *** about their characters. Terra is left only with his lingering sentiment in the form of an armor. Aqua is stuck in the realm of darkness. Ven lost his heart and is likely to not wake up for a very long time. So what? I don't care. I don't care about these characters at all. The game attempts to build this weak friendship, and expects me to care about their tragic fates and sacrifices, but in the end, all I see are three characters meeting a tragic end. And that isn't enough for me. Perhaps a perfect example of what character development between friends should be like is actually 358/2 Days. Say what you want about the repetitive story and gameplay; the bond formed between Roxas, Axel, and Xion was unbelievably well done. You can tell they were friends. You can tell they cared about each other a great amount, even thought they supposedly can't feel. The game does so well in conveying that sense of friendship to you that you genuinely cared about them. Why do many people say Xion's death is the saddest scene in the series? It's because you formed a strong connection with the idea that those three are friends, so you genuinely felt sad when Xion dies in front of Roxas's eyes. This matters in a game where friendship is such a heavy theme. It was almost vital that BBS nails this bond between their three main characters, because that's what makes the story intriguing and captivating. Unfortunately, the way they presented the characters were poorly done, and they just didn't spend enough time on the three character's relations with each other until they progressed the plot. That is where BBS's story falls; it attempts to build a friendship, rushes it and fails, then attempts to get you to care about the characters that you know little to nothing about.

Ventus could be a Dandelion Ventus could be the canon version of the player You know what I say to these now with the new trailer... Maybe not... I listened to Luxu's Voice and honestly I kept getting Jesse Vibes from it that or someone trying to sound like Jesse or Jesse trying to not sound too much like Roxas or Ventus. With this in mind and honestly how things seem to be playing out. 1.What if the reason Xehanort picked Ventus was because...Ventus was Luxu. 2.Luxu most likely went into The Realm of Sleep after or directly before the Keyblade War and was awoken by Xehanort with no memory of who he was. I primarily say this because while I know this is sorta meh thing. 1.The First signs of Xehanort and even his spreading are found in Ventus V.I.A. Vanitas (Braig came after I imagine) 2.Both Xehanort/Luxu/The Master of Masters Keyblade and Ventus's Keyblade share a trademark color of black 3.Because it's a Theory that might as well be discussed and is quite possible 4.Luxu seems to oddly enough care a lot about the Foretellers and seems frustrated with the events perhaps we've misjudged who he really is? Maybe his goals were different we won't know until we get the chance to watch Backcover. 5.And because of Hype. What are your ideas on this do you still think Ventus is a Dandelion or is he possibly Luxu himself.
