  1. I feel like every other question so far has been done to death since Internet became a thing around KH2 launch date. So might as well ask something different. Any favorite beta content in Kingdom Hearts games? This means of course, content that wasn’t used in the final game but left in the files. Or a original concept that was eventually removed. If you don’t have any favorite beta content you know of for the series, go check out “TCRF” page for Kingdom Hearts titles and see what’s intrigues you.
  2. Just finished doing a speed run of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix hd and it got me thinking of the original beta trailer for the game and how scenes were changed or left out completely. I tried to get all the changes, or removed scenes, but some were just too short to include, also there is an example of one of the comparisons below https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=coqz9gkq0xU
  3. At 1:05, you see that Sora was walking in Mickey Castle. Which it isn't in the final version at all. Surely there's a reason for Sora to be in there.
  4. This is a One-Shot RP, meaning that it is intended to be really short [Think “One mission RP”] and not as open ended as the other RPs here. The main reason for this is because I am new to the role of a roleplay host. Creating this one shot RP will allow me to essentially have a crash course in the roles of the GM and help me improve the guide. If everything works out OK, then depending on how good this RP turns out [and how decent I become at being a host], I might create another RP that immediately follows this one, where it can be slightly more open ended and I can accept more players. Due to the fact that this is intended to be short, accepted players will be extremely limited. I apologize in advance if you and your character sheet are rejected. "Long ago, people lived in peace, bathed in the warmth of light. Everyone loved the light. Then people began to fight over it. They wanted to keep it for themselves. And darkness was born in their hearts. The darkness spread, swallowing the light and many people's hearts. It covered everything, and the world disappeared. But small fragments of light survived, in the hearts of children. With these fragments of light, children rebuilt the lost world. It's the world we live in now. But the true light sleeps, deep within the darkness. That's why the worlds are still scattered, divided from each other. But someday, a door to the innermost darkness will open and the true light will return. So, listen, child. Even in the deepest darkness, there will always be a light to guide you. Believe in the light, and the darkness will never defeat you. Your heart will shine with its power and push the darkness away." >>>Warning: Battery Levels Low<<< >>>Triangulating Universal Position<<< World Identified: Destiny Islands [user Authentication data Corrupted. [skipping to Complete Entry Log] … …. >>>Personal Datalog Recording Entry 1653<<< >>>Playback Recording<<< “Man, those guys were right on how useful this thing is at keeping my sanity. It’s been… Gosh, I can’t even remember how long it has been since the battle for the light has started. It was all so sudden too. Out of nowhere, these dark beings appeared and decimated worlds faster than anything we could ever imagine. When the few scouts came in to report, the descriptions alone made us throw up. These… cruel, heartless… things would consume everything in their path and spare no one who were unfortunate not to escape. So many worlds were lost before we could scrounge up an armada to combat this new adversary. The worlds of Ardendale, Land of Dragons, Atlantica, Olympus, The Deep Jungle, and countless others were lost, and… The reports of what those things do to the princesses are... unspeakable to say the least. An unofficial nickname for these dark beings started circulating within the troops when they were all briefed on this: Heartless. They decided to call ‘em that thanks in part to what they witness: Those things have a knack of maiming people and ripping out their hearts and... well… anyways, Battle after battle to defend our worlds, we suffered massive casualties, but the heartless seemed infinite. Countless times, we’ve seen their leaders, and it turns out that these beings are commanded by people. We don’t know what they want other than the complete obliteration of the light, and we did a darn good job at slowing down their efforts. After those scouts reported, the message was relayed to the remaining worlds to evacuate their princesses to Disney Castle. We thought they would be safe, and that somehow we could win this war and establish a stalemate against the darkness after retaking our lost worlds. A long, bloody stalemate where sacrifices must be made every day to maintain it, but a stalemate nonetheless. But that was years ago. Now, here we are holed up in Disney Castle. We were able to hold them off for a time… And then we started to lose worlds and soldiers. Special warriors who were capable of wielding the magical weapon known universally as the ‘keyblade’ could only lessen the bloodshed by the relentless assault of these heartless. They were magnificent, to say the least, and their capabilities against the darkness were more than a rallying cry for us: They became our symbol of hope. There were the Warriors, who were not afraid to have their armored boots on the ground with us to fight against those heartless up close and personal. Needless to say, they were celebrated by the troopers and field commanders. And then there were those Keyblade Mages, who used immensely powerful magics beyond our imaginations to either support us or really hurt them. There were rumors that the most powerful mages could see into the future and know our fates and… Well, if that were true then we wouldn’t be with our backs against the freaking wall. We all figured that since there was the sword and staff, most of us figured that there should be a keyblade shield so to speak. I’m just saying, we can really use a good defense right about now. Speaking of those keyblade wielders, we lost a good number of them as they fought valiantly to buy some time for the remaining soldiers and civilians to retreat into the core worlds of Twilight Town, Radiant Garden, Destiny Islands, Traverse Town, and of course, Disney Castle. We feared it was inevitable, and we were right; Not long after the mass exodus of civilians, soldiers, and keyblade initiates to these core worlds, The heartless were able to breach our defenses and engulf some of our last worlds. Radiant Garden was the first to fall, With Traverse Town following suit within six hours. We lost half of our armada on that day… Trying to save as many people as we can. That day was… huh… 75 hours ago. All soldiers and what remains of civilians are now refugeeing on Destiny Islands, Twilight Town and the Castle. Everyone is anxiously awaiting their end here in the Castle; the princesses of heart, generals, hell even what remains of the elite soldiers look so somber as we look out to the now empty sky. His majesty is a little enthusiastic though: Reports are coming in that some of the keyblade wielders who stayed behind to buy us time actually survived. Apparently, they’re being ordered to rendezvous here at Disney Castle to concentrate their powers and the King is planning to use them to punch a hole through this sea of enemies. Honestly, I don’t think it’ll work but… Better to try and fail than to just wait for our doom here in the castle, right? Well… wait… There’s a gummi transport landing in the courtyard here. It looks like… yep… It’s them alright. The keyblade wielders themselves. And it looks like many of them survived too! Maybe… Maybe we have a chance after all to take back the worlds we lost and save the princesses. >>>Unknown noise<<< Looks like His Majesty has declared an emergency meeting. Well, I better shut this darn thing off, but before I do, there’s something I should say. In the event that this is the last recording of this conflict, sheesh listen to me…, uh… I just want to tell anyone who may get this in the future: If you can see the sun shine, if you can see stars in the night sky, if you can sleep at night peacefully without worrying about monsters coming out, if you can wake up and see the sun rise, then that means we won. A lot of people have sacrificed themselves to try and stop the darkness from engulfing everything, and all we ask in return is to be remembered. They always say the greatest casualty is being forgotten. If we didn’t win… All I-... what we wanted to know is: Why? What did we ever do to deserve having our existence wiped away? This is General Jason Schindler, Leader of what remains of the Light Armed Forces, signing out for what may be the last time.” >>>End Recording<<< ------------ Greetings prospective RPers! I finally decided to move off my lazy butt and make an RP! This will be a learning experience for me mainly, since being the guy who made the guide, I figured what better way to improve it than to actually take on the role of an RP Host? Please go easy on me and give me suggestions on how to improve on being a host Plotline: [Read the passages above... If it's too long for you, then this one-shot RP is not for you.] Not too long before the Keyblade War, there was a different war in which once again it was the light against the darkness. The light had always been threatened, with sacrifices being made to keep a tedious stalemate against the dark void. But then everything changed when the fire nation attacked darkness seemed to attack in force. The shaky stalemate was immediately shattered, and the darkness consumed most of the known worlds. With the light on its last stand and only a few worlds standing between the darkness and total victory, it is up to the hearts and minds of the few to take back the worlds that were lost. Rules: Since I do participate in traditional tabletop RPGs, some stuff shall be determined by the dices. I highly doubt that there will be any romance involved for [what I intend to be] a short roleplay, so I don't think I have to worry too much about that. Other than that: Standard KH13 rules apply In the unthinkable event that there is romance, keep it tame [no explicit love making scenes please -.-' No godmodding Since everyone is on the side of light [i hope], I don’t have to worry about players killing off other characters. You do have to worry about me offing them though, so be careful. Character Creation: “Sir. These elite warriors are our best hope in this war against the darkness. They may also be our last.” - Second Lieutenant Jacob Snider, Commander of the Light Ground Forces. In this KH based, military themed RP, players are more than free to choose any type of fighter that would fit into KH lore, Keyblade wielder or otherwise. In order to show that you have read everything thus far, kindly add in a notable quote of your character so I can also get a gist of what that character is. However, due to the fact that the light is on it's last stand, all of the remaining survivors are battle-hardened, butt-kicking veterans, since anyone less were killed or engulfed by the darkness. With that in mind, template is as follows: >>>Begin Dossier Decryption<<< Name: Age: Gender: Appearance: Personality: Homeworld: Class: [such as Keyblade wielder, keyblade initiate, light soldier, narwhal hunter, etc] Role: [sub-class, such as medic, squad leader, scout, assassin, messenger, support, skirt-chaser, etc.] Weapon(s): Notable Commands and Abilities: Please go all out on this and list every single move and abilities the character will know. Why? When the RP starts, under no circumstances can this be edited in response to situations thrown against them. On that note: “Learning on the fly” is no justification either, as is making up a new command skill within the RP. This rule applies only to Keyblade wielders, and no one else. 5. I may start doing these for games I play and possibly anime I watch, but to start off, a review on the Destiny Beta! I will review these games based on four main criteria: Story Music Gameplay Graphics I will give each category a review score of /10 (Out of Ten) and an average overall score /10. STORY! As with most FPS games now-a-days, the story is lackluster, in fact, most FPS don't have a story because you're too busy getting through the campaign to get to the multiplayer (Or at least that's what I do on FPS games.) However, this actually has A story unlike other FPS titles like Call of Duty and Battlefield. The story is set Seven Hundred years into the future in a post-apocalyptic setting following a prosperous period of exploration, peace, and technological advancement known as the Golden Age. In a universe where humans have spread out and colonized planets in the Solar System, an event known as "The Collapse" saw the mysterious dissolution of these colonies, the end of the Golden Age, and mankind teetering on the brink of extinction. This is a kind of story that intrigues me, a fight for survival against an unknown foe called the "Darkness" which threatens to wipe out the human race. For the story, I'll give it a 6.5/10. I said the story does intrigue me but It is still pretty mediocre. MUSIC! The music is a very strong part of the game. Most FPS do not even have a good OST because most FPS are quantity over quality as apposed to quality over quantity. Destiny or rather the Beta has balanced both quality and quantity out. As Bungie are the ones who are making Destiny, the tracks on the OST are very Halo-Esque which I like because I found the Halo OST's to be very well done for a FPS. Destiny is much the same. For the music, I'll give it an 8/10. Personally, the OST to Destiny is nostalgic as it reminds me of the mesmerizing tracks that were on some of the Halo OST's not to mention how good the music has actually been done. GAMEPLAY! Arguably one of the stronger aspects of the game, It isn't a generic FPS. It is much like Halo in that respect (In fact this game is like a better version of Halo). The gameplay combines FPS with sci-fi weaponry like Fusion Rifles which are essentially rifles that fire bursts of energy that can take down shields (I've found they are pretty Over Powered on Multiplayer too ). There is also generic weapons like Sub-Machine guns and Sniper Rifles but the game has been hand crafted so that It has a Borderlands feel to it, all guns and armor have specific stats and possible abilities or traits and can be collected, not to the same capacity as Borderlands but still does have a feel of it. There is also a mechanic called "Super-Charged" What super-charged is, is basically a super move you obtain very early in the game/beta and is a bar that you can fill up by killing enemies, once this bar has filled up it allows you to use this ability, in my case, I was using the Hunter class which allowed the Super-Charge, the Golden Gun which was a revolver that had a 10 second time limit use and three bullets. Each bullet is a one hit kill on most AI enemies and is always a one hit kill on Player Enemies. Overall I enjoyed the gameplay, gave me a feel of Borderlands which is probably my favorite FPS franchise out there. For the Gameplay, I'll give it a solid 9/10. Gameplay was fresh, had a feel of Borderlands and a feel of Exploration. GRAPHICS! This was in my opinion, the most strongest part of the Destiny Beta. I am unaware as off this very moment in time what graphics engine they used on this game but whatever it is, It is stunning, for a Beta that Is. I am looking forward to seeing what the full game looks like. Shadows were in perfect alignment with lighting, an added blur effect when struck with a grenade or some sort of explosive, gun animation looks very polished, no static movements at all from what I can tell, I could go on more with what the game made look good but this would take a long time. For the Graphics, I'll give it a massive 10/10. The game was stunning considering it is only in the Beta stage, I am looking forward to the full game's graphics. OVERALL CONCLUSION! Destiny looks like a very promising game, the graphics are stunning and the gameplay is fluid. Customization is a part of Destiny which is also a very good feature as it feels like Borderlands which I have already stated to be my favorite FPS Franchise out there. As an Overall Average score, I will give the Destiny Beta an 8.3/10.
