  1. I think I might have finally cracked this Da Vinci Code. So many were wondering where the χ-blade was at the end of Kingdom Hearts χ[chi], in the χ-blade War. I had previously posted a theory that The Master of Masters was trying to summon the χ-blade, which you can find here: http://kh13.com/forum/topic/100381-the-master-is-trying-to-create-the-χ-blade/#entry1870890 So if this proves to be true, then I followed up to that theory. We as the player almost died in the war, until we were transported to the Unchained X Realm by Chirithy to save our lives. So, we didn't really see the end of the war. What if there was something more to it than we thought? We could assume that the Dandelions just saved the world, but what about Luxu? I don't think Nomura would create a character to do basically nothing but die at the end, even if his keyblade is passed on. I was wondering about how Xehanort learned and became obsessed with forging the χ-blade began. So, we know The Master gave Luxu a mission to watch until the χ-blade War. But, what then? I think the Master wants Luxu to get the χ-blade itself. How? Wait out the war, with Guilt (darkness) and Lux (light) battling each other to create the χ-blade. Of course, we don't see it because we came to the Unchained X Realm, but who said Luxu didn't find it? Now, to clear up a question for a second, why did The Master choose Luxu out of all his pupils, and why didn't The Master do it himself? First, for some reason, Luxu was The Master's favorite student, so he chose him to wait until the war and get the χ-blade. He gave a Book of Prophecies to all of his other pupils so that he can effectively trigger a war between them. See, The Master would get them to collect Lux with the power of the future the book gives, which can be Guilted to produce darkness. The Master can create the χ-blade without doing any work. Then, why is Luxu doing this when The Master can? Actually, I don't know. He disappeared, maybe because he wanted the Foretellers to go separate ways without his guidance, and eventually start the war. Anyway, I think that may be why Xehanort today is trying to forge the χ-blade, to fulfill Luxu's originally purpose. In fact, I wouldn't be suprised if Luxu himself wanted the weapon, after he got it, and double cross his master. I'm not sure what stopped Luxu and where The Master is now, but we do have Xehanort's Keyblade which connects the present to χ's events.
  2. After a week of playing Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ since it came out in Australia, I caught up to the mission cap and I've been trying to figure out how many missions are total in the game. In the English version, it's 350 missions while the Japanese version has 475; and the story isn't done yet. Does anyone know how many Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ there will be in total to finish the story? Alternatively, does anyone know if Kingdom Hearts χ[chi] (browser game) is done in Japan storywise and if so, how many missions total does it have? I'm just wondering how long I'll be playing this oddly addicting game for
  3. ...could this possibly mean 2.8 will be releasing in September? We do know it will be released some time during this year, and since the date hasn't been announced yet, I can only assume it will be coming out in fall/winter, making September a good candidate. The reason I think this is because since KHχ will be closing, the story will probably be coming to a close on the web version, making for a nice transition into Back Cover. That's just my theory, anyway. Of course, KHχ is only available in Japan, so perhaps it might be the Japanese version of 2.8 that may be releasing in September (if they're not doing a world wide release, which I doubt they are). I know we have translations and Everglow to provide us English speakers with the lore, but I'm not sure Square does. Anyways, what are your thoughts?
  4. So as you may already know, Chi's lifetime is coming to an end. But there are still a slew of reasons to play it, including these last few changes that SE implemented in yesterday's maintenance. - Cards: In the Raise and Premium Draws, firstly, there have been significant changes to the way it works. Paying players will note cheap manny draws and the guaranteed SR+ in the 10x RD. For non-paying players, there's a big incentive to use your tickets. They are reprinting the Key Art and Key Scenes and making them available in the RD. So yes, you can have a shiny deck of all Key Arts without paying a cent! This month's theme is speed-type cards. In the following months it can be assumed that there will be similar power- and magic-type themes. In the Moogle Draw, SR cards are guaranteed in the 1 kupo nut draw and SR+ cards are guaranteed with the 3 kupo nut draw. Like in the RD, they are reprinting older Key Arts and Key Scenes, so pick them up while you still can. The Card Warehouse has an inventory space of 400, no longer 300. - Keyblades: The keyblade level cap is now capped at level 50. You will need "Electrons" to raise the level of your keyblade from +46 to +50. Additionally, with the Mog of Glory event going on now, you can also raise the level of that keyblade. Finally, there is an item UP campaign, which increases the number of items picked up by one. - EXP: We are in a time of double experience. This means you will receive double the amount of experience. The best AP/EXP ratio is the Fat Bandit, with a 10/770. Additionally, the level cap has been increased to 400. The amount of experience needed to level up is the same as any 300 level. Shop: Items in the shop are on sale for very low prices. If you are a paying player, you should be very happy. Additionally, SE gave everyone 500 charge manny, so even if you don't pay, you can still participate. You can see the full list here. ULTing: We have a 100% wonderful rate. You may now rejoice. Additionally, the Mog Trade will soon be selling ULT Assist and Attack Moogles. Finally, the cost to combine cards and ULT will be reduced to 1/5th of the original cost. Skills: 100% successful removal guaranteed. Costs 1 munny. Self-explanatory. how do I get rid of my munny now??? Sooooo what do you think?
  5. Hello Chi players! I created an alt a few months back (because, y'know, one isn't enough) and I figured that this guide can aid new players in figuring out "what to do next" as well as helping veteran players if they would like to make an alt. I forgot how much fun this midgame section is in the game once you've figured out what you need to do to improve! The difficulty of the game ramps up considerably once you're introduced to boss-type characters in the storyline. The first one players needed to fight, the Witch Bomber in Dwarf Woodlands, is the closest thing to a gatekeeper to the midgame. Boss-type heartless may cause new players to have considerable difficulty continuing and advancing the plotline without wasting a bucketload of potions. The first advice that I would give is to level up. It seems very basic, but with each level up, you gain a HP boost and can increase your deck's limit, allowing you to put stronger and stronger cards in. However, your level isn't the only important part of this process of becoming stronger - many parts fit in to help you grow and develop your skills. Leveling up your keyblade will give a permanent boost to its stats, allowing the cards to do more damage. I would strongly reccommend that players start working on leveling up their keyblades as soon as they possibly can. It not only gives you versatility in your decks (ie you don't only need to use one type of card) but it also sllows you to experiment with each of the keyblades. I would reccommend at least one keyblade at least +30 and a sub-keyblade at +25 or more. With doing so much powering up, I also reccommend that players, rather than buying their mythril items every day from the mog shop, to do their mythril quests. It saves you a lot of mog coins that can be used toward buying YS, potions, ethers, or cards. The mythril quests allow you to not only get mythril items from quests (hence the name) but by beating quest enemies, you'll gain more experience than you would fighting the event heartless. More experience = more leveling up = better HP stat and a better deck = more wins Getting better cards is also an essential part in the process. Whether or not you choose to be a paying player is irrelevant. Participate in events. Beat what you can; don't waste 18 potions trying to take down a level 666 enemy. Every little step in the right direction counts. HP your cards when you can. Don't be afraid to spend your Raise Tickets or Kupo Nuts if there's a card you like; likewise, don't feel obligated to participate in a Draw if you don't want or need any of the cards. Eventually, you're going to want to have a full SR+ deck fully HPed. Ultimizing is also something you can start now if you have the resources, as it will save you time later down the road. One thing that is rarely touched upon is using your AP UPs. Each one raises your max AP by one (up to a base of 150). This adds up over time, even if it's only one or two AP. While it won't help you in taking down those large scary boss-type heartless, it'll help you get the experience to reach it. Guilt is another big help as you progress through the story, as it works on both Raid Bosses and on common enemies (which include boss-type heartless). Most likely, at this point, you will not be able to complete all of your guilt without a little help from some stronger members but probably can take down most of it, with a few difficult (but not impossible) heartless (probably the level 444 or 555 heartless). Aim to take down as much guilt as you can and make sure to help those around you - you never know if they just might reciprocate! Finally, you should be equipping your cards with skills, even if the skill's level is low and you can only equip one or two on a card. If a skill procs, that means more damage to the enemy and/or less damage to you. The cost of equiping and de-equiping these skills is quite high, which may be a turn-off to some, but the power/defense increase is noticeable and important. Every skill counts. The midgame is where you prepare your character for completing high-level missions and taking down fearsome RBs. With the power of knowledge, I wish you the best of luck on your Chi journey! If you guys out there in internetland have any of your own tips or reccommendations, be sure to comment so as to help others out!
  6. As of yesterday, Chi enters into a 3-week long Christmas event, rich with gifts for all players! The main screen is decked in Christmas regalia, as the players await the 25th of December. Every day, each player will get a log-in bonus consisting of 12 Potions, 12 Ethers, and 1 Christmas Ticket. Each of the event Heartless drop gifts (ornaments and tickets) for the player. Ornaments can be traded in for draw chances for really cool items! The 50 ornament draw: The 500 ornament draw: The 5000 ornament draw: Christmas tickets are important too, as you'll need to collect lots of them so when maintenance starts on the 24th, you'll get lots of goodies in your present box on the 25th! How many tickets you obtain determines what prizes you'll get. To get all of those cool prizes, you'll need to beat a lot of heartless. Using both event assist and attack cards will help you in your journey. The Kairi and Naminé Assist cards gotten via the Moogle in addition to the amazing payer-only cards will help you collect more ornaments ranging from 80% to 400% depending on which enemy you're taking down. Additionally, if you happen to have any of the cards from last year's event, they'll also increase your yield. But to get the ornaments, you'll need to take down plenty of heartless, and some of the heartless are difficult opponents! You'll want to use boosted cards to help take them down! Event cards featuring the lovely cast in Christmas Town attire can help, as they have a damage multiplier when attacking event heartless. Finally, there are two sneaky event heartless - the level 77 gift shadow and the level 777 (a new high) gift bag - that give off lots of ornaments and even some Christmas tickets! They're hard to find, and have a respawn time of 10 hours, so make sure you time their demise out so you can beat lots of them! How's your Christmas event going? Let us know while we share this marvelous time together in Chi!
  7. After I saw Nomura's sketch of Ephemera, it just got me thinking about him in Kingdom Hearts III, how he can help out the Guardians of Light against Master Xehanort, and help finding the Book of Prophecies.
  8. As of the 11/5 maintenance, a new world was introduced (Beast's Castle; read about it here) and with a new world came a new Keyblade: Rumbling Rose! You'll receive the keyblade once you finish Beast's Castle 15-6. Additionally, three new synthesis items were introduced: Melted Wax, Ice Crystal, and Large Pearls. All three of these you will need to maximize your Keyblade's potential! Rumbling Rose has an emphasis on Magic with a sub-emphasis on Speed. At level 40, it has M-3.3x/M-1.9x/S-1.6x stats and has an Upright-Reverse-Upright EX Combo Bonus of +4600. This may make it more attractive than Desire Lamp for some players, for the exceptional first hit multiplier. With a new Keyblade also comes a Keyblade Strengthing Campaign. Items come in ranges of 2-4 and the respawn time is decreased to 30 minutes! It's a perfect oppurtunity to strengthen what you have right now and the newest keyblade in Chi! Let us know what you think of this new keyblade! How strong is yours? Do you plan on using it in the future? (Cogsworth never saw it coming)
  9. So as was detailed in the update notes for 11/5-11/9, there will be a change to the weekly Limited Missions. You probably know these as the missions that come up at 10 AM JST every Monday. You have a week to complete them, and the rewards are good for beginning players. Starting next Monday (11/9) these Limited Missions will change. Below is the new rewards missions, based on Union ranking. What do you think of these changes? Will you actually be completing the weekly Limited Missions now? Best of luck in KH Chi, Keyblade Wielders!
