  1. As someone who has 100%ed a good amount of the KH games, I feel as if everything I say in here is pretty accurate. This was also made due to a tweet that blew up.
  2. I hope this is the right spot to post this. Sorry if it isn't the right spot. This is my take on the Demon Tower boss battle, when playing 0.2 in Beginner Mode. It isn't much, and I know it might be a bit cringe-y for a lot of you. I was just starting out playing this on the 29th of November. I made more recordings of myself playing 0.2 as well as DDD. I know my take on Phantom Aqua is terrible, because I didn't know her fighting patterns.
  3. So I was recently sifting through my videos uploads on Youtube and I came across an old video I did for the premium showcase demo, as that was one of our first in depth looks at the game. Anyway, what I noticed when viewing this video again was that something seemed really different to the final game; yes of course the character models, but in general everything looked a lot darker as well as maybe less detailed? Well anyway, I decided to put together a video comparing the two clips side by side to see how much better the final version changed and how much was actually improved. (*Note, one small but interesting change I noticed was that when Aqua is talking about there not being any time in the realm of darkness, the dialogue happens out loud while in the final game she says it in her head.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PheMfAZ6Nc
  4. So I just beat Kingdom Hearts 0.2 today (the English version) and after viewing the secret ending, I went into the theater mode section to see what the scene was called and I was surprised to find that it was called "2.9 - The First Volume". Now, while I assumed this title was just referring to the epilogue/secret ending as a whole, it got me thinking about what if 2.9 was or is an actual thing and if so is volume 2 going to be a separate thing or is it just going to be Kingdom Hearts 3? I personally hope that it is simply referring to Kingdom Hearts 3 and not something in between, as the way the ending leaves off suggests that it is talking about KH3, especially with
  5. Alright so this is a question that I want to ask those who already seen everything that 2.8 has to offer but please don't put any spoilers in here please. So we know that we should play Dream Drop Distance first and obviously play 0.2 after that since it picks up from where the secret ending of Dream Drop Distance left off. But yesterday I saw by someone on Twitter that they say you should watch Back Cover first before you play 0.2. I just want to know would that be better overall or dose it not really matter, he seemed really passionate about it so I was just wondering what those who have seen everything thinks
  6. So, for awhile now I've wanted to do a painting of Aqua based on the opening cinematic from 2.8 and was unable to do it back when the trailer came out due to being busy with work and other stuff. However, I finally managed to get some time to work on it and well here's the result:
  7. So...I've complained. I've complained A LOT, about the way KH3 looks since the E3 2015 trailer. Honestly, I could almost say I was let down by Square after seeing the way game looked on the Unreal engine 4 compared to the way it used to look on the Luminous Engine, BUT I'm more than happy to say that my complaints were absolutely pointless. Yep, the 0.2 footage from E3 convinced me that KH3 is going to look just as good as we all want it to look. How? Well let's see! EXHIBIT A: The environments They were never a problem, but it was great to see that the environments are still looking great. The textures, the details, the lighting, EVERYTHING is just perfect. But they looked just as good in the KH3 trailers so...Nothing to complain about here. EXHIBIT B: The particle effects...and other effects x) The magic, the effect it has on the environment it...it all looks so beautiful. Visually, it couldn't get any better. Once again, that's nothing new, it always looked great EXHIBIT C: The character models That was my main issue with KH3's look. The character models. In the very first trailer we were promised the characters would look a certain way and the latest trailers didn't live up to my expectations. They said Sora would look like this: Instead, he looked like that: And then we had terrible character models for Mickey, Riku, Kairi and Yen Sid. They all looked like Barbie dolls. The latest footage for 2.8 has shown immense improvement in the character models. As you can see in this screenshot featuring Ephemera, the character's hair and clothing are a lot more detailed and textured which is great. Their skin also doesn't look as "plasticky" as the previous screenshot which removes the doll effect Strangely, in the 0.2 portion of the trailer, Aqua's model still suffers of the doll effect. Her hair and cloth are really detailed but her skin still looks like plastic. I think that's mainly because of the lighting. It looks like Square has been having a hard time with finding the right lighting for night time with the new engine and that gives the characters like Terra, Aqua, Riku and Kairi a weird look since they were all in "nightime lighting" (Mysterious Tower & Realm Of Darkness are "night themed"). But as we've seen with X Back Cover, the right lighting seems to fix every problem. EXHIBIT D: The Art Direction (See attached files) As I mentioned earlier, with the very first trailer of KH3, Square showcased some graphics and they haven't really delivered what they promised. That's not because the Unreal Engine isn't good enough but because they changed the art direction. It wasn't clear what art direction they were going for with the 2015 trailers for KH3 but, for me, the 0.2 footage we've seen made the art direction clearer and it's actually something they teased in the very first trailer. If you look at the 0.2 cutscenes from the E3 demo, you'll notice that Aqua actually looks a lot like her model from the pre-rendered cutscenes. It doesn't really show in the E3 2016 trailer but it does in the demo. Even Terra, whose model probably isn't finished since it doesn't look very detailed, looks a bit like his pre-rendered counterpart. The main difference with their pre-rendered counterparts is that they look a bit more cartoony in the game. And I think that's exactly what Square is going for. Instead of making the characters look exactly like they do in the pre-rendered cutscenes, they are trying to make them look like their pre-rendered counterparts but with a cartoonish touch to capture the Disney aspect of KH. And they've shown that in the very first trailer, when "KH3D Sora" transitioned into "KH3 Sora". This might not be a revelation to everyone, but it enlightened things for me and I know other people like me complained about the visuals for KH3 so I wanted to show everybody that there is nothing to complain about. Square just has to get the "night lighting" right and everything'll be good I'm satisfied with KH3's look. Share your thoughts
  8. Hi there everyone . SlayerNL ( Steeghs ) here with a topic about what I liked about the demo kingdom hearts 0,2 at at Gamescom. First of all this is my opinion, so this is what I think about game. Do you have a different opiniDo you have a different opinion , leave it behind what you think about it. Story :Ok the story is still a question because we still do not know much about it. So I 'm not gonna talk much into that. (Ps. the subtitels where inGermen not English and im Dutch, so i can't read it ) Gameplay:The gamplay I find a big mess. That sounds weird but read on. They want them to keep happy the fans of KH2 and BBS. The first attack is very fast , then the second is suddenly very slowly as if you're in the speace . Then the third goes quickly and you shut down slowly . Soory but that just can not , it just gives me a weird feeling how I hit the monsters. Magic I find but two very convenient. Ice and thunder . Ice, put the monsters still and some monsters you must use ice it to kill , so you do 9/10 ice attack and then you do thunder to kill safely the last samples. for the rest it is just what you expect that. Sound:Maby it is just me but the audio was a crackling sound. Maby it was the proplem through the headphones that I had there. Leave a reachtie behind if you also had at gamescom. model:The model what they want in turn can be quite nice but what I saw wasmore on the ugly side . I do not know, I liked the old style more than this . Maby it's because they have more effects put in first. FPS:The FPS for me was good. Im no expert in there of the demo was 30 or 60 fps but the game did not lag for me so:lol: . Difficulty : Was on the easy side because I always play the hardest and this was normal as easy win no dead. Result:It is still i fun game but i will not buy it for this only. Even the in gamescom they said its the best DLC of gamescom  That i understand it. But still it is my opinion. Thank you roe reading for this topic. SLayerNL(steeghs)
  9. Yes, this may be an oddball of a conclusion to make, but, here me out here. This is what I believe will happen. Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover Ephemera has made alliances with all the Foretellers, however, Chirithy's warning about a traitor that will turn the Foretellers against each-other makes them suspect that Ephemera was using them to bring the foretold "envelopment of darkness". So, as a consequence, they all simultaneously agree to banish Ephemera to The Realm Of Darkness. Anguis is the Foreteller that conducts the banishment upon Ephemera. Kingdom Hearts 0.2 At the end of The Realm Of Darkness. Aqua notices a figure (who is Ephemera). She approaches it, however, after approaching it, she comes to realise that it is using the powers of Darkness and is wielding a Keyblade. From Ephemera's perspective, he believes that it is Anguis that has suddenly appeared, and as a means of defence, revenge and blinded rage, he proceeds to battle Aqua! After the battle is over, Aqua and Ephemera exchange conversations. Aqua stresses the pain of darkness that was caused by Xehanort whilst Ephemera cries about the consequences of light after his experience with the Foretellers. They both agree that light and darkness must be at an equilibrium in order for balance to be maintained.
