Hello friends, Firaga Sensei here with another important message. First, I should explain what exactly the issue is about: "Naruto SD" is a fan term for the subsection of the Naruto franchise referring to the spin-off "super deformed" comedy gag series "Rock Lee's Springtime of Youth" or as its known otherwise "Naruto Spin-Off: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals". "Super deformed" itself refers to an art style where characters are drawn small and chubby, similar to the more recognized "chibi" style, and in shonen manga is mostly associated with gag spin-offs for shonen series like "Ninja Pals" is for Naruto. Here are some highlights taken directly from the manga: Truly, it is sheer brilliance. A beauty to behold. "Ninja Pals" has done rather well for itself. Despite repeated hiatuses, the manga has been translated in its entirety by fans and can be read online, and Viz Media has licensed the full anime series to watch on their website and through other streaming services. But alas, even with all this attention, a problem remains. And that is simply: the next iteration of Ninja Pals, "Sasuke Uchiha's Sharingan Legacy" isn't getting enough attention from fans. "Sharingan Legacy" is focused on the exploits of Sasuke and his team of ninja called Taka, and is just as brillant in its execution as Ninja Pals was before it. Don't believe me? Allow me to share some excerpts from the first chapter, the only one officially translated to read in full as of right now: Isn't it simply a crime to know that masterful jokes and images like these are being restricted simply because the fans who supposedly love the series and Naruto as a whole just aren't showing their support? Well, I believe that this must come to a end, and together, we as the fans can bring Sharingan Legacy to the forefront of the entire fanbase's collective awareness so that the Sharingan Legacy may truly live on in the hearts and minds of those who are eager to click on and read the next fantastic entry as they did before with the Ninja Pals manga and anime. Remember: only we can continue the legacy.
Hello, KH13, my name is Firaga Sensei, and unfortunately, this is not going to be a silly thread full of jokey-jokes. No, I'm afraid now is not the time for comedy because there is a serious issue going on that I have to speak to you about. I'm going to inform you of a very serious problem that is plaguing the DragonBall community, and has been for a very long time: "The Orange Brick Problem". You see, American anime licensing company FUNimation began releasing remastered box sets of the hit anime series "DragonBall Z" from 2007 to 2009. This was a notable release at the time, for it was the first time that fans would experience FUNimation's English dub for the entirety of the anime, along with some minor script changes here and there to accommodate the "uncut" format. It was collected in nine season sets, from episodes 1 to 291, and to my knowledge, new prints of the set continue to be put out to this day. Even so, I regret to inform you that while this set may sound like a decent purchase for anyone who is and was a fan of the DragonBall Z anime, especially those who remember growing up watching it on Toonami, it is, to say the least... a "flawed" product. FUNimation's remastering process was simply abhorrent, and what resulted were that the 4:3 footage of the show was converted into 16:9, causing the image to stretch and have the top and bottom of the original footage be cut off entirely, as well as the overall image quality turning shoddy due to excessive grain removal and oversaturated color correction. See the results for yourself: Terrible, is it not? Truly, it is a shame that this has become the standard quality for the casual audience, and while FUNimation is responsible for the sets' quality, the fanbase still continues to support it due to the lack of knowledge. And that is why I choose to spread that knowledge and here and now. I implore you: please relay this message throughout the DragonBall community. We must not subject ourselves to the mediocrity of the Orange Bricks. The DragonBall series is too valued among anime/manga fans here in the West and by FUNimation themselves to receive this treatment. FUNimation has shown in the past that better releases are possible, such as with the Blu Ray Level Sets or the Dragon Boxes, but it's the opinion of the fans that will help bring those releases to fruition and keep them circulating throughout the market so that both hardcore and causal audiences will have the chance to purchase them. And though we may not halt the process of the Orange Bricks being distributed, at the very least we shall let FUNimation know that future DragonBall DVD releases, Z or not, deserve to be worthy of collecting. Thank you for your time. This message was brought to you by the Sensei Awareness Company. Feel free to look into our other movements such as the "KHIII Release Date" and "KHIII: Final Mix" threads, both done in the service of Moogles.
PSA: Double Posting We've seen a huge amount of double posts (including triple and quadruple posts and such) over the past 5 months. We used to usually only see them 5 times a month, but now its even gotten 4x that point. Since its been done several times, I think its a good idea to inform those who do it of the rule and what double posting means. First off, here is the rule on Double Posting which can be found here (http://kh13.com/forum/forum-3/announcement-2-kh13-rules-please-read-this-once-it-wont-take-long/): What is Double Posting? Double Posting is when you post right after your initial post. For example: You can't do that, its against the rules. There are solutions to this, which we will get into a bit later. Is Triple Posting allowed? No, it isn't. Quadruple posting isn't allowed either. They all fit as Double posting. You can't chain post like that. Why is it not allowed? To prevent spam and for the forums to not look cluttered. If we have like one member posting every thought they have onto a thread while chain posting, its going to not go well. We've dealt with 5 posts in a row that go like this, its not a hypothetical situation. What are some solutions to my Double Posting? One solution is to edit your initial post to add in more of your thoughts. For Example: You see the edit button in between Report and Hide? That is where you will prevent yourself from double posting. The second solution is to post right after another member posts. For Example: If you're not patient enough, then edit your initial post. It is what I do. NOTE: We do not condone spam, this was just an example. Those will also be removed. What if I posted already, but I want to reply to quote another post and reply to that? First, you find the post you want to quote. Second, you select "MultiQuote". Here it is as bright as day: It is located as options to the bottom of the post you want to MultiQuote, along with the Edit option I showed you before. This will appear in the bottom most right corner of your screen: Third, you go back to the post you made and select Edit. This will appear on your screen: Fourth, you select "Use Full Editor". This will appear on screen: Do you see the quote? The quote is automatically placed into the post. No extra step involved! Lastly, do whatever you need to do and then select "Submit Modified Posts". Here is how it looks: This is your result! Well done Weed, well done. [*]What happens if I continue my Double Posting? Continue on and you wont have to post again. Posting restrictions will be placed. I hope this all clears any confusion according to Double Posting. If you have any questions please ask below and I or any of the mods will respond back. Q&A (From Members) Q:Does Double Posting rule apply to statuses as well? A: No it doesn't. Just do not spam (for example, "fhirfher" 20x in a status) and you will be fine. Q: Will this apply to Roleplays as well? In case someone forgets something throughout the RP, and I need to remind them through a post, will it be fine if I make a separate post to remind them even if I Double Post? A: This will be an exception. However, be sure to abuse the exception for any other reason. You can double post if it relates to the RP, not for any other reason such as spam. If it becomes an issue, the privilege would have to be removed. This doesn't excuse the entire Roleplaying Forum, just only the Roleplays themselves. Also to note, there is a thread called Team Awesome RP that will be excused to spam. Q: What happened to the Auto-Merge feature? A: We don't know, but it is clear it hasn't been working for these past months. Please follow the methods above since the feature isn't cooperating with any of us. Q: Does this apply to the Random Forum? A: Yes it does. It applies to all forums, even the Roleplaying forum. However, Roleplay threads themselves are the exception. Q: What happens if I am on my phone and since using this site is uncomfortable on it, I mess up and double post? A: We understand accidents happen. Its just deliberately double posting, spamming and such is the main issue despite all of our warnings. If you do see yourself double posting just report it and let us know (or contact one of the mods if reporting is just as uncomfortable). We'll deal with it and understand the situation you are having. Q: What about if I have an art thread (or something like this) where I update such thread with new pieces/entries/etc.? There are times where I update it and then, lets say 2 weeks later, I want to update it again but if I post my new entry it would be considered Double Posting. What do I do? A: These type of threads are an exception to this rule because it is the creator's thread a where he/she presents their work. So yes, you can Double Post. Note that necro-posting or trying to bump it up is not allowed. You have to double post with that new entry, if not, we'll think of it as something else.
Hello everyone. Shulk here, once again to help make the worlds better places for us all. I've already talked to you about the subject of a Final Mix version of Kingdom Hearts III, and while the Moogle population has thrived since then, I've noticed another problem... One that has become much more menacing at this point in time. "When will Kingdom Hearts III be released?" "When will we see a release date?" "Will Kingdom Hearts III be released in 2015?" These are questions I've seen asked often. Of course, this is a subject that many Kingdom Hearts fans have on their mind. However, while I'm sure we all want to dive into the next adventure with Sora and friends, this question isn't as naive as it might seem. In fact, it has rather sinister results. You see, this question carries a certain desire to it. A longing desire. This desire manifests into negative feelings. Feelings of frustration that we haven't gotten to play the game yet. These negative feelings all merge together, and create... These. Yes. When people ask about the release date for the game so often, their desire eventually feeds the creation of the Unversed. Slowly but surely, we are introducing these creatures back into the worlds. They might not seem to have effects in our world, but in others, they are wreaking havoc. So, what do we do about this? It's simple: Be patient. I know that it's hard to wait. However, if we can all quietly wait for a release date, we can avoid the birth of these horrible, ravenous creatures. Please, help protect the worlds. Be patient and wait for Kingdom Hearts III. We don't want to rush Nomura with the game. We want it to be the best it can be. The game will be released eventually: We can't change when we can play it. All we can do is wait for it. Thank you for this time. This is Shulk, signing out. (Also, thanks to Reyn for finding the music selection this time around. His contribution will surely make the people of the worlds live better lives. Marth also gave me suggestions, so he is a life saver as well.)
