  3. The worlds of Pirates of the Caribbean, Frozen, and Tangled were recently previewed by IGN as a hands-off demo by the Kingdom Hearts III co-director Tai Yasue. Jonathon Dornbush has published his impressions on the preview of these worlds, giving insight into new gameplay elements from the worlds. Below are some highlights from his review; they do not include any story-related spoilers. The Caribbean Jonathon described The Caribbean (he calls it Port Royal in the article) as a "mini Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag" and "one of the most intriguing Kingdom Hearts levels yet" due to its impressive levels of exploration. He talks of the many explorable islands that provide an incredible treasure hunting experience, which extends to beneath the sea. All means of travel - on air, water, land - and transitions in the world has been described as seamless. Underwater travel is also more agile than past games in the series, and in air, you can jump from one Heartless to the next freely. Combat styles change from world to world. Goofy's special bombardier attack involves him being swallowed whole by a sandworm Heartless in this world, only to attack from within. Magic attacks such as Blizzard, Thunder, and Water behave differently underwater. The fish in the sea can be brought back to Remy in Scrooge McDuck's restaurant in Twilight Town. Arendelle Jonathon briefly described a boss battle in this world. You can read about it in the spoiler box below. Yasue said that the development team collaborated with the Frozen team to design enemies true to the style of the world. The Heartless in Arendelle, which behave differently in air and land, were described by Jonathon to have a similar scope of entertainment as boss battles. Yasue showed one of the first sledding experiences in Arendelle, which branched off to numerous paths and offered many treasures. Jonathon commented that it felt a bit too lengthy. Kingdom of Corona Rapunzel's character and personality have been blended into the gameplay of this world. Scenes involving Rapunzel's wonder for the outside world can be triggered by, for instance, casting Aero on surrounding dandelions. Following Rapunzel as she wanders off by herself to a nearby lake will also trigger an interaction. Yasue said that activating these triggers are part of building up Rapunzel's trust in Sora. Following Rapunzel will also lead to combat scenarios and finding treasures. Jonathon commented that Corona's fights become "a crazy ballet of oversized household items swiping through the air and Disney characters hurling themselves at baddies." Some enemies in this world had armor to break through first instead of HP, and others had human-like appearances, showing a great deal of variety to be expected in enemy design. Did you enjoy our highlights? Then you will enjoy Jonathon's full review of these demos even more!

  5. Hey everyone! I hope you're doing great like I'am because I just saw the new Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer featuring Pirates of the Caribbean aka Port Royal!!! Sora, Donald, and Goofy once again return to realistic Disney Worlds. But this time they're not only one. Luxord, one of the original Organization XIII member returns to Port Royal and this time he's looking for the Black Box that was from Kingdom Hearts Back Cover x. There's a lot of thing happening in the new trailer so I'm sure everybody else will discuss that but for me I'm want to discuss Port Royal because not only it's one of my favorite worlds in Kingdom Hearts 2, despite how weird Sora, Donald, and Goofy talking to realistic characters because of their cartoony features. But I'm also curious of why Nomura decided to skip Dead Man's Chest and go straight to At World's End? Maybe it's because Kingdom Hearts 3 is the final game of the Xehanort Saga so I guess he wants to include At World's End arc. to match the tone of the game? I'm curious to see how this will work out! So what's your guys thoughts about this? Are you excited to see Port Royal again like me! Or are you disappointed? Please discuss and leave your thoughts here! I would love to read them!
  6. So I was going through Reddit this morning and as I was reading I found out that the Japanese version of the trailer has a slight bit of new footage, specifically a shot of Marluxia with yellow/green eyes that wasn't in the english version. Anyways, here's the image: https://imgur.com/ifAckjP Also, here's the footage if you want to view the new scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFKlDX4vzz8
  7. Hello there everyone! So then, this Friendly Neighborhood Webhead, whom posts his videos here when he uploads them, looks like he wants to discuss the latest Pirates Of The Caribbean trailer! I'll leave the video here for you all to watch! Enjoy! I wonder how Captain Jack will get around to killing Salazar for good? It'll be interesting to see!
  8. How the live action worlds should look seems to be a very controversial subject. There are two main groups: the people who want them to adjust the look of the movies to make them slightly more cartoony and fit in better, and then the people who think that they should make them as realistic as possible and as close to how they actually look in the films as possible. I, personally, am a part of the second group. I absolutely loved seeing Sora and the rest of the cartoony cast in live action settings. I think it's very interesting and pleasing to look at and just the whole idea of it in general is amazing to me. I'd absolutely love to see Sora and the gang exploring the various live action planets of Star Wars or the live action settings of Asgard or Narnia, while fighting alongside live action characters. Many people seem to think it doesn't make much sense to have live action movies in KH, but I think it makes complete sense. Every world is different and has different settings and different people. Some, with different styles, such as Halloween Town, and I think the concept of live action movies as worlds fits in with that theme perfectly. When you first arrive at Port Royal, Sora even mentions that this world looks strange, which I think is awesome. I dunno, I just love the idea of a contrast of art styles, while many other people seem to disagree. What are your thoughts and opinions on this?
  9. Pirates of the Caribbean 5 has been moved up to May 6, 2017 replacing Star Wars: Episode VIII.
  10. Hey there everyone, how's it going!? So then, as we've recently found out, thanks to the News Team here on this wonderful site, Nomura said that maps used in the previous two numbered entries in the KH series shall not be in KHIII. So then, with that being the case, there's an interesting way that we can see Jack Sparrow and his jolly crew again in Kingdom Hearts III, and it is as follows. When entering the world, Sora and the gang could arrive at Tortuga. At first, they'd be taken aback by all the chaos in this port town, and after exploring for a bit, they see Will Turner and reunite with him. He then proceeds to explain that Elizabeth is in trouble and that he needs to find Jack to ask for his help, and so Sora and friends agree to tag along! From Tortuga, they go to the Pelegostos Island, where Jack is about to be sacrificed, and then Sora and friends could battle a few of the natives and such, and then, after escaping the island, we'd be at sea for a while. Afterwards, as the world's plot progresses and this and that happens, we end up at the island where Davy Jones's heart is, and after claiming the chest, we go out to sea again, then battle the Kraken as the world's boss, and see Jack sink with his ship when the battle ends, and they are all heartbroken. On the second visit, basically, we'd be at the plot of At World's End, with the great Pirate War coming, and Will, Elizabeth and the rest go to Davy Jones Locker to rescue Jack Sparrow! Oh, did I mention that Sora and friends would go into panic mode when they saw Barbossa alive and kicking again? Anyways, on this second visit, the first place we'd be is in that Chinese Town at the beginning of the film, then Davy Jones Locker, then the Pirates Court, and then at sea, where the final boss battle would be a raging pirate ship battle inside a maelstrom! That would be monstrous! After that, Sora and friends part ways with Jack and the rest, and they head off to another world! As you can see, Port Royal, Isla De Muerta, and the Ship Graveyard aren't anywhere to be seen in this possible world layout of the game! If Pirates Of The Caribbean returned, I think this'd be the best way! So, what do you think?
