  1. New information regarding the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III: Re:Mind DLC has been revealed at the Los Angeles performance of Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World of Tres- today! In keeping with his appearances at the previous Kingdom Hearts orchestras in Los Angeles and this year's -World of Tres- performance in Tokyo, series director Tetsuya Nomura made a guest appearance at the end of the concert to announce this information and present a new teaser trailer for the DLC. After coming out onto the stage, Nomura was greeted with a standing ovation from the audience. He said that he arrived in Los Angeles on the same day of the concert, commenting "I haven't even unpacked, and I accidentally came wearing sandals", eliciting a hearty laugh from the audience. Nomura then mentioned that the paid DLC was revealed at the Tokyo performance, before stating "We have prepared something to show today, for the people who came here, so have a look." He remarked that the trailer shown at the orchestra is "exclusive" (despite the trailer subsequently being published on YouTube), and that video and photography were not permitted. Nomura also revealed that the Re:Mind DLC will be launched this winter and will include "more scenes that we will like." Credit to KH13 staff member Mio-chan for providing translations of Nomura's words! Shortly after the concert, the English version of the Re:Mind teaser was uploaded on the official Kingdom Hearts Youtube channel. You can watch it below. The Japanese version is as follows: In this trailer, we witness a meeting between Young Xehanort and a cloaked figure who seems to be Master of Masters, in the Keyblade Graveyard. The scene alludes to Young Xehanort being mentored by the him, who asks him how "the world tour" went. It seems he gave Xehanort the black coat to ward off the darkness, which is interesting seeing that in this scene, Young Xehanort's eyes are of the original grey colour instead of yellow, commonly a symbol of darkness. I But the most striking scene seems to be the one between Xigbar and Luxord, both characters with roots from Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross]. Luxord confronts Xigbar at in the world of Olympus, asking him who he is, but then leaves saying it doesn't matter anyway. Xigbar then wonders out loud, "The question is who are you, Luxord?" This makes an allusion to how the identity of Luxord may be central to the story of Kingdom Hearts. In terms of gameplay, the Re:Mind DLC will make the players able to play with Riku, Aqua, and Roxas in certain situations. The trailer features these playable characters during the battles in the Keyblade Gravevyard towards the end of the game. The Oathkeeper Keyblade and the Keyblade's formchange also makes an appearance. From the DLC's first reveal announcement in the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World of Tres- Tokyo show, we know that the ReMind DLC will be a paid DLC to include: An additional Scenario, "Re:Mind" Limit Cut Episode + Boss Secret Episode + Boss English VA option (only for Japan; no word on an equivalent option for non-JP copies) We also know that there will be a free DLC featuring a new Keyblade and a new formchange. Lastly, another interesting feature about the Re:Mind DLC is the coda symbol featured in its logo. In music, a coda ("⊕") is a passage that brings a piece (or a movement) to an end. According to an observation made by Project Destati, this could have additional symbolism in regards to the additional story content that the Re:Mind DLC could bring to Kingdom Hearts III. You can check out some screenshots from the Re:Mind teaser trailer below! We have also uploaded a photo album with some interesting pictures from the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World of Tres- concert at Los Angeles. Check it out below! 4. Hello there. First time here in the forums, I just thought of this and I thought this could be interesting for discussion. Enjoy ~ PD: this is a semi-translation from my tweet posts about this matter, as I am spanish, so please take that into consideration if you see any error or mispellings. As you probably have seen by now, it seems that Aqua has gone through some changes, and of course we fans of Kingdom Hearts have inmediatley thought that this means that now Aqua is now one of the Thirteen Darknesses that Xehanort will use in KH3. And it doesn't make any sense. Think about it, KH 0.2 ended literally stating how she wanted to be the light in the midst of shadows, how she wanted to be there for those that may fall into darkness. And now she 's just a vessel? Weird. And then I saw this: https://twitter.com/AmaziahYT/status/1006261973527547905 . According to this information from an IGN interview (yes, I know IGN is not exactly the best source of info for KH, but bear with me) to an actual Square Enix employee, it seems that whatever happened to Aqua has nothing to do with Xehanort, but with the Realm of Darkness itself. And you'll say: that's impossible, she has the yellow eyes and even the hair is turning gray! I began to think about what kind of connection this could have if it was true. And then a friend called me saying she was about to finish KH 0.2 and had som doubts with what she had saw on E3: How were Riku and Mickey supposed to enter the Realm of Darkness if the Door to Darkness was closed and it would not let them pass. I asked what she was talking about, and suddenly I remembered this: One person cannot enter, or either exit to one Realm to another if it or she has Light in his or her heart. I guess you can begin to see where I am getting at. But there's more: "Even if she was to succumb to darkness in order to travel freely through the RoD and the RoL, how explains the orange eyes, the darkened skin and the gray hair?" And as a famous meme would say, I'm gonna call a friend that knows one or two things about darkness, the Realm of Darkness, the Organization XIII, Xehanort itself, and darkened skin, orange eyes and maybe even grayhair. Yep, my friend is no other than Ansem the Wise, also known in it's "Dark Form" as DiZ (Darkness in Zero). When Ansem was banished to the Realm of Darkness, he survived by learning how to use the darkness and control it. Not by succumbing to it, but by using it in it's favour (Ansem Report Nº6 KH2). That way, he could hide from the Organization, travel in and out freely through the Realm of Darkness and Light, and also acquire a new "form" that consisted of a version of himself with darker skin, more clear orange eyes (he already had some orangy-red eyes, but you can see it becomes near xehanort type) and as he is wearing his bandages around his head, it's kinda impossible to know if he also has gray hair on this form. And now the two magical questions: A) Why is sh mad or surprised by Mickey's pressence. B) Why didn't she left the RoD then? Answer to A) Video editing is a key point here, as the situation tries to point that Aqua is a bad girl now, but of it this way: Riku and Mickey are in the black beach. Whatever attacks them prisons Mickey in that red swirl and breaks Riku's keyblade. Aqua appears from the Darkness, destroys whatever was attacking them, and then realizes he is Mickey. Answer to B) Aqua herself can explain this better than I do. And... that's it. What do you think?
  5. Morning everyone! I hope y'all doing excellent especially we're getting very close to the release day! I'm here for another Countdown and this time one my favorite Keyblade master makes her appearance! Yep that's right Aqua takes the third day spot! Aqua is one of my most favorite characters in the series due to her character design, her personality, and her character arcs in Birth by Sleep and 0.2 Birth by Sleep. Saving is one of my most highlights in Kingdom Hearts 3 and I can't to play it and see how it turns out. Just three more days left!
  6. [THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS! THIS TITLE IS A PROLOGUE TO KH3 AND IT CONNECTS TO BIRTH BY SLEEP AND THE FIRST GAME, I RECOMMEND YOU UNDERSTAND THOSE TITLES BEFORE YOU READ THIS! PLEASE READ AT CAUTION! I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH!) - - - - - - - - - - - - - [We follow Aqua in her time in the Realm of Darkness after sacrificing herself to save her friend. During her time there, she struggles to keep her hopes strong as she tries to find a way to escape and reunite with her friends. All the while, she faces what darkness presents to her, including her own demons.] - - - - - - - - - - I remember anticipating this title since it was first announced. It was also the time I learned the importance of other titles I felt I should play other games, especially Birth by Sleep. And thank goodness I did because I was able to understand the context. As for how I feel about the game, it is a huge improvement from birth by sleep in terms of gameplay. It plays a lot like KH2 in a way. This title, as mentioned, is a prologue to KH3. So, based on what gameplay they are going for, this means no more command decks this time around. However, you are pre-selected with certain abilities and magic spells. You cannot change your abilities, but you can change your placement with magic. You also rely on a new game mechanic called "situation commands". It works Iike how these limit commands worked in birth by sleep. Using the same attacks or spells creates an upgrade of a said spell or combo attack. Another interesting feature was added and it was the first time in the series you have customization. Whenever you accomplish some objectives, you are rewarded an item to your wardrobe. For example, fighting a secret boss will give you a crown or simply seeing the stars will give you wings. I remembered being so surprised by this feature when I saw their last trailer. The boss battles in this title are interesting. Especially ranging from the Darkside heartless to new heartless boss like Demon Tide (which has a very catchy final boss tune). As for heartless in general, seeing old and new in different areas in one world is still fun. Ranging from shadows to elemental heartless always a treat to see. I would also love to straight out say, surprising no none, the graphics of this title are so beautiful! Everything you see in the realm of darkness is what you might expect in a way. It is a place of loneliness and unsettling environments, despite how familiar these worlds are. Everything is distorted, and crystallized. It lacked bright colors and seeing some light give you hope and joy. The look of magic spells makes me appreciate the use of magic since I am normally not a magic based player. Seeing the how it also effects environment was a neat touch. Example, shooting fire not only harms the enemy, but it also scorches the ground. The ice magic I think is one of my favorite spells in this particular title. This is where I will talk about Aqua and the story of this title. I will warn you again this will contain spoilers of the game and even from birth by sleep and a previous title if you have not played it yet. - - - Seeing where we left off from the secret episode in birth by sleep, it is as such Aqua continuing her journey finding a way to escape the realm of darkness. Throughout her time there, she talks to herself. Her thoughts on certain things are worth pondering about. Which again, Kingdom Hearts never fails to give me pondering thoughts that I think Disney themselves have yet to let us learn about. That is opening my eyes on a different kind of perspective and respecting that sight. For example, in this particular title, Aqua ponders and grieves on the predicaments of the world she is in that was taken from darkness. She flashes back to the times she's visited these worlds and realizes how saddening it was to see a lot of the most simple things, you never give thought about, gone. From a dog waiting for their owner, a cat napping on their nook, even things like trees and flowers: every small thing you know are gone. This is telling me that we take the simple things in life for granted. The grief she had for these simple things really hit me when I played this. That moment with Aqua is one of my favorites in the entire series. Moving on, we see Aqua go through illusions that look like her friends and even her own demons she had to fight. The grief she went through and the yearning of escaping to see her friends again is always heartbreaking to see. A lot of what we had to see was just Aqua surviving and sadly we the players had to play along. Here is where I speak of a moment that truly connects....story wise anyway. We actually meet with Terra...at least what Aqua wanted to see. He is in a way an illusion that heard her in the darkness and finally gets to speak to her of Xehanort's attempt to locate Ventus. This moment was actually kinda fascinating because it caused a big whoop and had a really cool semi-action sequence. We now come to a really big reveal of this game. Aqua finally reunites with Mickey Mouse. Through him, we learn Aqua has been in the Realm of Darkness for 10 years, at least in the realm of light since the time in the RoD does not move (I want to mention how heartbreaking it was when Mickey had to reveal that fact....it almost was relatable to us as fans when waiting for KH3). After Aqua finally having a conversation with an actually living person that is not an illusion, it became a relief seeing a form of light that made the moment kinda sweet. This then makes Mickey your temporary party member. It is as such as we head to the next important moments. We have our big battle with swarming piles of heartless known as demon tide at the remains of Destiny Islands (meaning at this time, Sora was fighting Ansem seeker of Darkness in KH1). After that cool battle, we then open a door leading to something Mickey was looking for: a Keyblade from the dark realm known as the the Kingdom Key D. Finding it, an unexpected light takes them to a familiar site to the players: the other side of the door to Kingdom Hearts....sort of. This was where Mickey and Sora lock the door on both sides. During this sequence, we see Riku running towards the door to help close it. from here is where gets interesting. Aqua saves him (he not realizing till Mickey told him) from a tornado of heartless. As such, this resulted keeping Aqua trapped despite being close to escape. This truly shows how she can be incredibly selfless, which is hard to see that she had to face the consequences. Aqua urging Mickey to go without her, she sacrifices herself to remain in the RoD to finish off the swarm of heartless, promising herself she would guide those in the dark and one day return to Terra and Ventus. Leaving off with the ending of KH1, locking both sides of the door and the worlds are now restored. We then finish the segment with Mickey's perspective (the ending of dream drop distance). Upset of the being kept secret for so long, Riku is now determined to rescue Aqua. Both are tasked as such while Kairi goes off to train with Lea to learn the ways of the keyblade. Meanwhile, Sora returns from a secret mission of sorts. Yen Sid speaks to Sora his strength is once again sapped away from him due to the predicament in Dream Drop Distance. He is tasked to meet someone, a true hero, who also lost his strength and hot it back again. Sora, Donald, and Goofy are set off to their next destination leading to the beginning of kingdom hearts 3. There is an issue for some dealing with this title, in terms of the connection. There was a lot of retcon in this series, and I guess this title drew the line on concluding that statement. There was a moment when Mickey was attacked enough to take off his shirt. There is a reason why that was added. In Kingdom Hearts 1, we see Mickey at the end of the game, we see him in his ultra classic outfit (just the red pants). So, adding why he had no short into the continuity is a bit interesting but it lead to people saying that it is a sample of Nomura making things up as this story goes along. Another sample was with Aqua In the mix of it. She learns of these 2 boys saving the worlds during her time in the Realm of Darkness. We then remember her meeting with Ansem the Wise he talks about a boy with a Keyblade saving the worlds. She asked if it was Ven or Terra. This leaves a confusion on this. Why did she ask that? Mickey told her they are out of commission instead it was Sora and Riku. So, Aqua questioning this shows that it was not planned. That being said, personally, I don't actually have that problem. Yes, the shirt situation was a bit silly (heck I was only weirded out he had no shirt on which is strange because it was his classic look ROFL), but the story being connected to KH1 is pretty harmless in a way to me. I'm not saying that this connection was properly planned, but I say Union Cross takes the cake on being an example of making up things to connect and the ultra surprises so far. This was treated and respected better than, for example, the Michael Bay Transformers (even though I did enjoy them for the laughs now a days....and Optimus Prime, but that's a discussion for another day). - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I find this a really great edition to this series. While it was meant to be attached to KH3, the had to add something to Dream Drop Distance for their collection edition. I find this awesome since it is, in a way, a demo to KH3's new engine. I love the graphics and I love Aqua's development. I look forward to where this leads in KH3, especially with Aqua's predicaments hopefully coming to an end. Play this game if you are already further in the series. It will be worth it especially for KH3. ARTIST'S NOTES: This is kinda easy since I just used an already drawn Aqua and just added her to the Dark Margin. Drawing this area was bit simple too. So, sadly, I don't think I have much to add other than I am happy how I added to prints in the sand and the text of the title was the most proud I had for it. {{{. As of this post, this is it. That is the last of the posters...until I finish KH3. Yes, I actually have one more being none other than the big honcho itself. However, my thoughts will be raw and scrambled when doing a review and I do plan to make it a spoiler filled review. I will make sure to warn you when I get to it. Please look forward to it when that time comes.mi do not know how long it will take to finish the game. It will be however long it takes to have a fun experience. I will be off Social Media starting the day KH3 releases in Japan on the 25th, being the 24th for us. That being said, I hope you enjoyed the poster's I've done. I truly had a fun time doing them. 6 months worth of work and while my thoughts are not well constructed, I feel I've done my best to speak of them. Doing this project gave me a reason to play these games again, all l the more than enough to make me more excited for the promised day. I will see you all when I finish KH3 I also wish you luck with your choices on how you prepare for this upcoming important time of our fandom lives. Till then, May your hearts be your guiding key! }}} Please check out the other posters for this project: https://www.deviantart.com/mns-prime-21/gallery/67100545/Kingdom-Hearts-III-Countdown
  7. 10 years ago, before the events of Kingdom Hearts 1, we follow three young warriors: Terra, Ventus, and Aqua. All follow their teachings of their mentor, Eraqus (pronounced AIR-UH-KISS) to become Keyblade Masters. Terra and Aqua take on the Mark of Mastery judged by Eraqus, as well as Master Xehanort (ZAY-UH-NORT). Suddenly, Eraqus learns that Master Xehanort disappears and was informed [by Master Yen Sid] of the rising manifestations of negativity called Unversed. Terra and Aqua were sent on a mission to investigate the mysteries of the Unversed and Master Xehanort's disappearance. Meanwhile, Ven is informed by a mysterious masked boy about Terra's upcoming fate and Ven goes after him before it's too late. All lead to a fate that effects the future events of this series. -- We now have Aqua: she is one of my all time favorite KH characters. This young lady here is quite a character. This is somewhat special because she so far my all time favorite female character. Funny enough, I normally do not have favorite female characters and I'm female myself. I have a reason for it but it is personal and I want to to just talk about this game. Point being, she is so far, genuinely, the only favorite fictional female that is a favorite. If you truly love good women who are polite, authoritative, modest, strong, brave, kind, beautiful, and is somewhat a knight, you got what's close to the perfect gal right here. Because, this is pretty much who she is. One of my favorite moments, without being too spoiled, relates to those attributes. There is a scene when Aqua comes up and holds her hand to a character like, dare I say, a gentleman (and no, I don't consider her lesbian...you can act like a gentleman and not be lesbian). There is her immediate reaction when she made a mistake for not realizing she was in front of authoritative presence -bows and apologizes for her lack of manners. She is a true warrior if I ever saw one. Her story is not the most plot twisted of the trio nor did it effect the future events (aside from the choice she made near end game). But she is special in her own way that many of us fans care for her enough in hopes she succeeds. As for gameplay, she is heavily full magic. I am normally not a solely magic-based player. However, I did find myself enjoying her gameplay because a lot of it in general is pretty satisfying. That and it feels almost as comfortable as Ventus. It is a bit difficult at first simply because it's mostly magic and not as balanced as Ven. But, like any character you play, you eventually level up to where it feels comfortable enough to have the confidence to fight through some difficult bosses. This also makes me appreciate magic more in these games. While I find her ark in terms of big surprises to be lacking (until the final and secret episode), the inner struggles seemed to speak louder. Her personality and overall reputation shines bright to many fans. As much as I love Ven, Aqua is my second favorite in the entire series. [ARTIST NOTE] Alright, big reveal. Have you noticed what the three posters had in common? All have the 3 elements of the characters: earth, air, and water. As such, for example, Aqua is water but there is still earth and air (clouds) in the same environment. The night sky plays a symbolically major part of the story, so of course I give each of them the night sky with some sunsets. I also realized when drawing these, I drew their right hands in a unique way. Terra hand his hand closed, Ven was loosely open, and Aqua openly spreads her fingers to the sky. I'll leave that to you for interpretation. Also, the land in the background was totally made up. However, let's just make this Neverland because it reminds me of it LOL Doing these are so much fun. I may or may not mentioned this, but normally backgrounds aren't my forte. However, doing these relating to the elements for each character, that's what make it really fun to draw. Kinda felt like a new experience. I am not done yet. I have one more poster of this particular title to show. It will contain my overall thoughts on the title itself. So stay tuned y'all! (As of this post, will post it on Sunday).
  8. I Know we have all wondered since E3 2018 on how and why Aqua was Norted, but what if she really isn't Norted and is just turning into something much worse ? Well I have a theory on if this is true or not and I hope you all enjoy
  9. THIS TRAILER IS SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL, BUT IT PLAYS WITH MY FEELINGS... UGHHH ?? I'm so excited to get my hands on this game, and I'm sure soooo many of you are as well!! Let me know what you think about this trailer and some of the things I discussed, did you see something I didn't?
  10. https://youtu.be/BZfESvMFfCA Yup. Gonna stir the pot some more. Do you guys think it's possible that it's not actually Aqua, but her Nobody? Would make it pretty easy to "save" her if that's the case or are we still all just taking what Square said at face value?
  11. It appears that everyone in the Kingdom Hearts community is concerned about Aqua! It's a little uneasy waiting for Kingdom Hearts 3 to find out how exactly she fell into darkness, but I think in the mean time, this video that we created will help hold some of you over. Please watch our scripted video. You will not regret it! It's filled with an emotional script and voiced by a great team. I just hope everyone will be okay watching it.
  12. Wait a minute... Has Nomura just said that "Aqua can be saved based on the player's efforts"??? So basically that means that Aqua can or cannot be saved during the game and this most likely leads to 2 different endings. Actually, Nomura said once that the last stage of KH3 was incredible, then he added that this stage was: "Something he's always wanted to do and put into Kingdom Hearts, ever since the days of working on Final Fantasy. It is bound to surprise everyone." He also said that "Everything can be done" and that the game is "A culmination of the past", according to a piece of news this site posted back in February during D23 Japan Expo. So this makes me think that maybe WE can write our own story in this last part of the game. But I wouldn't like dialogue choices, I'd prefer something like: "If you complete this task or win this battle you can do that", for example if we win the battle against Dark Aqua/Aquanort we'll be able to save her, else she'll be lost forever. I'd really love if KH3 turns out to be this way and we will actually be able to decide about the future of characters which will lead to different endings: well, EVERYTHING could be done, right?
  13. The sensation came to Vanitas every time he was unprepared for it, when he was the recessive part of Ventus that he hated most, vulnerable. Over time the feeling became more overpowering, it would channel through his body like the very darkness that he had been created from. Only he didn't recognise this as darkness. No he couldn't be weak. He couldn't think about her. The feeling intensified, it raced through him up and down, never finding a heart to rest in and so came to a still at the usual place, his mind. Vanitas had done well to ignore this feeling and brush it off as a weakness that would disappear when he one day finally defeats his weaker self, Ventus. Oh how he hated the name. But lately he had found it difficult to think about that, or to even focus on the task Master Xehanort had set for him. How could he when his mind was plagued, infested with thoughts of her. Her who he was told to forget, whose name Vanitas only knew from his time spent in the shadows watching Ventus spar with her, learning his keyblade fighting techniques so that they could one day be used against him. But whose name would stay in his mind. Her name was Aqua. Itch. She was nothing more to him than collateral damage, a pawn in the game. She would serve as the stepping stone for Terra's darkness to take over and allow Master Xehanort's plans to take form. And yet she had a strong connection to Ventus. Weak, insignificant and a tool that will eventually lead to the forging of the X-blade. And above all that, he was Vanitas's enemy. Every time he mentioned her, Master Xehanort was besides himself - for years Vanitas had showed no signs of light in him, he showed nothing but hatred and anger and resentment. Every day he handled the missions he was given with brutality, he had a vicious fighting style, overpowering his enemies by channelling the darkness in him. Why was he letting this weakness in? It happened more often lately and it happened today. Vanitas woke early as per his Master's demands. "Awaken Vanitas!" the old Master Xehanort said. "Every minute that you sleep, Ventus grows more powerful than you do." Vanitas was up in an instant, donning his mask and armour and ready for a battle within minutes. "Not a chance, Master." he said, calm and getting increasingly cocky in his confidence as his powers and abilities were growing, becoming more of an asset to his master. "Oh really? Then we can skip the formalities. Show me what we went over yesterday before we begin today's assignment." Master Xehanort said and with a wave of his white glove covered hand an unversed was spawned into the training room. But itch itch, her image returned to Vanitas again. Like a bad itch he would never be able to scratch off. He thought about her as he struggled to fight against the unversed enemies, his dark powers failing to destroy them as they usually did, merely wounding instead. She was the same girl he saw sparring with Ventus that day at the land of departure. The same one he met. As he observed how Ventus was fighting he saw her, her blue eyes and her blue hair, she carried herself strong, her keyblade fighting style was as majestic as it was masterful. She made her swings look like choreographed dances at times, but her use of magic and strong attacks made her more stronger than her beautiful appearance would let on. After the two of them had battled, Ventus left and went in to speak to Master Eraqus. And Aqua remained outside, she was stitching together was Vanitas could only see as good luck charms. As Vanitas gazed upon her, he saw her not as an enemy but as something else, he wasn't quite sure, a friend? Something more? Either way it was a far cry from the hate and fiery aggression that filled him just a moment ago. And when she spoke to him her voice was soft and calming, not at all like the viciousness he received from his Master, Xehanort. But he appreciated it. His master punished him to make him stronger. Stop thinking of her Vanitas. Stop the itching. Stop the scratching. And yet as Vanitas readied his keyblade against the unversed in front of him, itch itch, the feeling returned to him again, striking him harder than his physical swishes of the blade were to the unversed, he channelled the feeling and used it as power believing it would help to soothe the itch in his mind. A bright blue beam of water shot out of his keyblade, the edges of the blade raised toward the creature. The blast shot across the room, it took the unversed with it and pinned it against the wall and then both the water and the unversed were gone in an instant. Master Xehanort's menacing grin turned to a frown of anger his expectant look turned briefly to one of confusion and then back to anger, he knew this magic. Light. Vanitas was supposed to be created from pure darkness, why had this happened? No. This plan was years in now, Master Xehanort knew his destiny, he knew that Vanitas and Ventus must clash. But the light had to stay away from Vanitas. "There you see! She makes you weak boy! She sees you as the enemy she uses this against you." But she hadn't. She was kind. She cared and she always put her friends before herself. The short amount of time Vanitas had spent with her before Master Xehanort disallowed him to see her any more was a happy one. Don't talk to her, don't see her, don't even think about her, those were his instructions to him. The radiance of her soul and heart made him stronger. SLICE! "AH!" Vanitas was so wrapped up in his thoughts of her that he didn't notice Master Xehanort had summoned in another unversed. The creatures sharp claw slashed at his arm holding the keyblade. He slammed the blade down in frustration. The pain had at least cleared his mind of the thoughts he was having but it didn't take long for them to return. But the unversed in front of him was destroyed by Master Xehanort, who had approached the area Vanitas was fighting. Vanitas felt the wind swish past him as the tip of Xehanort's No Name keyblade passed his face. And yet through all this, the itch persisted in his mind. She would be taking her Mark Of Mastery exam soon and with that Vanitas and his master's plan would finally begin. All the training, all the physical and mental attacks from his master, they would be all leading up to this. He had the light, the feelings for her beaten out of him by his master enough now. He hated her and yet he did not. Why did he have to hate her? Was it an extension of his hate for Ventus? Was it a reflection of the hate that had consumed Master Xehanort? If I have faith that says to a mountain "jump" and it jumps but I don't love, I'm nothing. Did he love her? No he couldn't. He was born from darkness. So then why did he feel powerful when he thought of her in a warm and positive light? The only thing he was certain of was that he either wanted to be with her or for these cursed thoughts to leave him for good. For a moment his mind had left the room but was bought back into it as the metal smashed into his ribs. Screaming out in pain, he barely had time to react any further before he saw her there again, this time Aqua smiled at Vanitas, just as she did that day and she spoke to him, his vision and hearing was blurred even within his mind but he understood what she was saying "It's okay. You can lose yourself to the darkness, I'll be there to get you back." And with that the No Name keyblade pierced Vanitas this time in the chest. The last thing Vanitas saw was a blue light leaving him, it coursed through the keyblade and into the gazing eye that trademarked the hilt. When Vanitas awoke some time later, the itching had stopped. Only now it felt like it had never been there. Forgotten in a dark void with Ventus's other weaknesses that had been destroyed from him. He hurt but he couldn't remember why. "Vanitas?" Xehanort looked at him expectantly "Yes, Master?" He replied, gathering his breath and slowly standing. "Do you remember her?" Vanitas looked confused, who in the World was his master talking about? "Aqua?" "Yes boy. What is her use to us?" Xehanort knew of course but he needed to hear it from Vanitas. "She is our enemy along with Terra... And Ventus. Terra's destiny will lead her to hers. And I will destroy Ventus myself. The X-blade will be ours!" And Master Xehanort could no longer sense that light, that weakness within Vanitas had gone. No more scratching. No more itch. "At last. You are ready." Vanitas's training was complete.
  14. Tagline: "Water...Lost, in Darkness...so too...is both Wind and Earth...hear the stories, of both Wind and Earth respectively, the stories...of Ventus and Terra." ???-"...Hmm...they should be located, right, around...HERE! AH HA! FOUND ONE OF THEM!" Looking over a very both shocking and surprising unconscious sleeping Ven, laying on the ground was a both strange and mysterious Rabbit like creature, of whom resembled a certain friend of Ventus' back within the Realm of Light. Theme Song: https://youtu.be/cYow0rJXhj4. Opening Description: The Opening Intro Video starts off with a Recap of Terra, Aqua and Ventus falling down their shared Dive to the Heart towards Ven's Station of Awakening, afterwards we see Ven, as a shooting star within the sky that soon abruptly lands within the Realm of Darkness, awaking from his long slumber, as Ventus is immediately attacked by Unversed that proceed to knock him back, even when after summoning his Keyblade, the Wayward Wind, seen gloating over Ventus is his Dark counterpart Vanitas unmasked, summoning his own Keyblade the Void Gear to prepare to destroy just exactly like when he tried during their very 1st encounter crossing Keyblades with one another, it is then saving Ventus from his demise was a silhouette of King Mickey revealed to actually be Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, wielding a Keyblade of Darkness called the "Shadow Chaser" ("Phantom Chaser" in Japanese), using his Dark Keyblade, Oswald heals Ven and together they both take on Vanitas, only for the scenery to suddenly change with Ven all by himself, seen looking at straight right in front of him the Lingering Will, in other-words, the mind of his very best friend and older brother like figure Terra, preparing to lift its Keyblade, the Ends of the Earth from the ground and suddenly engage Ventus in combat, as Ven tries to dissuade the animated armour but sadly to no avail whatsoever, he is knocked back by the Will and shatters into behind him what feels like a wall made of glass, afterwards, Ven enters another Dive to the Heart once more, as he falls, he sees down below his other very best friend and older sister like figure Aqua smiling weakly towards him, as she tries to reach out her towards him, only for Ven, upon coming into contact with Aqua's hand, causes her to fade away into particles of Light, leaving behind only a floating Heart in its place, Ven lands safely on the Station and holds the Heart within his hands, he accepts the Heart, as part of his own, as it enters his Body and he then lastly recalls a vision of himself floating around in Heart form being accepted into the Body of a young 4 year old Sora, finally, Ventus back in Human Body form awakes to find himself being cradled in the hands of Oswald... 0.2: Birth by Sleep-A Fragmentary Passage: Wind and Earth. Ven-"...Ah...ugh..." ???-"Keep still, your still dazed from entering this Realm." Ven-"...This...Realm?" suddenly, Ven recalls his final confrontation with Vanitas. Ven-"!? TERRA! AQUA! GAH!" ???-"See? i TOLD you! the more you fidget like that without having properly adjusted to the miasma of the "Wasteland" will cause you both severe and utter pain, i should know, i am this Realm's very 1st resident..." Ven-"...Huh? ...? ! !? M-MICKEY!?" ???-"Mickey? NO YOU BIG DOPE!" The rabbit like being smacks Ventus on the head. Ven-"OW! HEY! WHAT DID YOU DO THAT FOR!?" ???-"Oswald." Ven-"Huh?" ???-"My NAME is Oswald! Oswald..."sigh", the "lucky" rabbit, at your service." Ven-"...Os...wald? what a strange name." Oswald-"PFFF! not, as strange, as Ventus of all names!" Ven-"Hey wait, i don't recall ever telling you my name, how did you-" Oswald-"You didn't need to, the Realm of Memories told me your name." Ven-"...Huh? Realm of...Memories?" Oswald-"..."Sigh"...a bit slow on the uptake, aren't ya kid? welp, come on, get out of bed, there's much to be a showing you around these here parts..." Ventus-"Ah! hey! wait up!" Ventus chased after Oswald outside of his house to find that he was located in a completely utterly barren location of a Wasteland, hence the Realm's name. Ventus-"What!? where-where is this place!? just-WHAT IS THIS PLACE!?" Oswald smacks Ven on the head once more. Ven-"OW! hey! quit doing that! its getting REALLY annoying!" Oswald-"Ah shut up, no good complaining down here, why, its practically empty." Ventus-"!? Wait-what did you, just say!?" Oswald-"LIKE-I-SAID, THIS-PLACE-IS-PRACTICALLY-EMPTY, only lost beings and forgotten Memories end up here in the Wasteland..." Ven-"...The Wasteland?" Oswald-"Yeah, its where people who have been lost to Darkness yet for some both strange and mysterious reason haven't produced a Heartless and thus find themselves here, basically all the way out in the boonies and i quote on that: "not just in name only...", ahem, you see, its basically a place where the "special cases" of Human beings and/or any other types of beings end up in when they have met with a "Dark" fate or have become involved in any again and/or all ways relating to the Darkness whatsoever, so in other-words, YOU my friend, A-K-A Ventus, formally of the World known, as the Land of Departure are now officially a new resident of the Wasteland!" Oswald sarcastically claps his hands at a very fast speed. Oswald-"...Congratulations, no no, no need to thank me, i'm just doing my job is all-" Ventus-"WHAT!?!?" Oswald-"...Ow, that nearly burst my eardrums, there there, my poor rabbit ears..." said Oswald, softly stroking his giant rabbit ears, as Ven replies: Ven-"TELL ME! HOW DO I GET OUT OF HERE!?" Oswald-"...Uh, "buddy"? i hate to break it to ya but the main, primary fact is: you can't, many have tried...and have all failed, believe me, i know, i have been keeping track score of all of the records." Ventus-"Fine! then i'll just have to find a way on my own! i gotta get back! back to...Terra and Aqua! hup!" Ventus left Oswald behind in a hurry, as the latter was left behind, sighing to himself before deciding to chase after Ven for some reason, Ventus ran, as fast, as he could whilst thinking to himself the words: Ventus-"...Terra...Aqua...guys! please! be safe! i'm coming! i'm coming right now! i won't let them, i won't let them lay a single finger on either of you!" Ventus recalled facial images of both Master Xehanort and Vanitas inside of within his mind before doubling his running speed, running towards the edges of the far corners of the Wasteland, it was here, Ventus' journey into Darkness...had begun. Meanwhile... Seen at the Dark Meridian was a young man in a Black Coat, starring out to sea, saying to himself: ???-"...Aqua...Ven..." said the young man before deciding to take off his hood to very both shockingly and surprisingly reveal that he is none other then...Terra! Back to where both Ventus and Oswald were, Ventus ran to the outskirts of the Wasteland, trying to find a way out of its Realm, only to no avail. Ven-"...Huff...huff...huff...where-where is the exit around here? doesn't this place have an exit at all!?" Oswald-"Nope." Ven-"Ah! you again!" Oswald-"...Its Oswald kid, at any rate, you won't be able to find a way out of the Realm of the Wasteland, given currently the status your actual physical Body is in." Ven-"...Huh? what-what do you mean?" Oswald-"Have you forgotten? you gave up your Heart in order to save your friends, don't you remember? what happened?" Ventus-"! ...Ah! ...yeah, your right, now...now i remember...it was, Vanitas...he was or, STILL IS: my Dark side, i...i had to stop him, before he threatened to hurt both Terra and Aqua..." Oswald-"Hmm...so you do recall your Memories, interesting, at the very least, your able to make sense of what happened to you and how you got here, tell me, do you know...what happened, to your Heart? the part that left you i mean..." Ven-"...The part that...left me?" Oswald-"Ahh, i see, so you can't remember beyond what happened after defeating your Dark side, i guess that's understandable, your Heart basically went into a coma and in order to recuperate itself, it went into hiding, trying to find the nearest Light possible in order to survive, without that, you probably...wouldn't even be standing here." Ventus-"...Wait, i don't understand what your saying, what do you mean?" Oswald-"..."Sigh", to put it simply, beforehand, back in the Realm of Light, your Heart was already divided into two, your Light half stayed inside your original Body which is who is standing in front of me right now, the one called "Ventus" whilst your Dark half created an entirely new Body in order to sustain itself, the one you called "Vanitas", you see, upon the birth of Vanitas, his Heart's creation triggered a mutation that was able to create beings that feed off the negativity within peoples' Hearts, especially including Vanitas' own Heart, they were the Unversed, all of this which you already know, however, upon the destruction of both Vanitas and the Unversed when you had destroyed the Chi-Blade, born from the combined union of both your Hearts, reintegrated with one another but not fully whole, as one anymore, seeing, as how Vanitas became his very own existence, your fused Heart was damaged and a small fragment of its Light was lost to the Darkness of which had tried to take over the Light when the Chi-Blade was still in the process of being forged, that Light was divided into two halves, the half standing in front of me here, now whilst the other went somewhere else, unfortunately i do not where, all i know is that that half of your Heart's Light, namely in other-words, you yourself Ventus are now safe somewhere and it is because of that that the half that is standing in front of me now has ended up in the Realm of the Wasteland within the even bigger Realm of Memories, here where all kinds of Memories end up in, either locked safely away within the Light of people's Hearts or lost to the Darkness when people's Hearts become consumed by the Heartless and those people when they become Heartless are forgotten about, if so, in the latter case then they end up here in the Wasteland, where Memories have either been tied to Darkness or lost to its shadows...all very complex and confusing i know but still, in a way, it does make sense...sort of." Ventus-"...Heartless...what are, Heartless?" Oswald-"! Seriously? that's what you took from all that? oy vey, looks like we have a lot of work to do, anyways, what i want to explain to you now is absolutely vitally crucial towards the destiny of your Heart, if the two halves of its Light are to reunite and rejoin with one another, thus completing the fully reassembled formation of the Light being known, as Ventus..." Ventus-"Ven...tus." Oswald-"Yeah, you buddy, fully whole again once more-! uh oh! looks we've got trouble!" Heartless Shadows appear surrounding both Ventus and Oswald, preparing to bombard them with their massive amount of numbers, Oswald quickly summons his Keyblade, of which shocks Ventus: Ventus-"! A Keyblade!?" Oswald-"Yeah, sorry, no time for questions right about now, first, we've got to take care of these guys here first!" Ventus-"R-Right!" said Ventus, as he summoned his Keyblade, the Wayward Wind, together both Ventus and Oswald joined forces and had teamed up with one another against the Heartless Shadows, destroying them one by one until eventually, one Heartless Neoshadow appears, trying to surprise attack Ventus, because Ventus remembered having encountered Neoshadows before, he was taken aback by its sudden appearance and was frozen stiff, Oswald tries to help Ven but is too distracted by the Shadows in front of him, as it seemed like just about Ven was going to be struck down by the Neoshadow, suddenly, very shockingly and surprisingly coming to his rescue was the black coated Terra, wielding his Earthshaker Keyblade, destroying the Neoshadow. Oswald-"!?" Ventus-"!?!? T-T-T..." Terra-"..." Ventus-"TERRA!!!!" Terra-"...Terra?" Ventus-"Terra! its me! Ventus! i'm so glad your safe! your okay! nothing bad happened to you!" Terra-"..." Ventus-"I can't believe it, i'm not dreaming, am i? if so, either way, i'm so glad to see your safe Terra! but...what are you doing here? what's with the black coat? more importantly, where's Aqua!? do you know where she is!?" Terra-"...Aqua..." Ventus-"? ...Terra? what's wrong?" just then, Terra raises his Earthshaker Keyblade, pointing it dead straight towards Ventus. Ven-"!? T-Terra?" Terra-"...That's not...that's not my name, i'm not, Terra...i'm...!? GAH!" Terra suddenly drops the Earthshaker, holding his head in both hands, writhing in agony. Ventus-"TERRA!?!?" Ven tries to help Terra, only to get suddenly knocked back by him, as he quickly makes a sudden retreat through a Corridor of Darkness, leaving Ven behind with Oswald, as Ventus ponders his friend's sudden behaviour just then: Ven-"T-Terra..." Oswald-"..." Deciding that this was too much for Ven to bare at the moment, Oswald had decided to take Ventus back to his home, where there, they could figure out what to do next... (To be continued.).
  15. A sort of DmC: Devil May Cry inspired rework of our Dearly Beloved Kingdom Hearts franchise, The Kingdom of Hearts or TKoH for short is the story about all brand new main, primary protagonists of this new version of Kingdom Hearts trying to protect the aforementioned mythical, ancient, omnipotent and omniscient Heart of all Worlds from the clutches of both Darkness and all other sorts of evil forces...the premise behind The Kingdom of Hearts is that it not only explores both the Light and the Dark within everyone's Hearts but rather also both the Good and the Bad, the White and the Black, the Yang and the Yin, so on, so forth, all the kinds of things that represent balance itself, the theme of TKoH is balance and the story focuses on parallel versions of Sora, Riku and Kairi, as they soon get dragged into a fight for their very lives and must now at the very same time, master the arts of the Keyblade granted upon them...in this Role-play, Sora, Riku and Kairi are named "Sky", "Land" and "Sea" respectively and they are currently being taught under their mentors and foster figures of each one of them respectively named "Wind", "Earth" and "Water", the parallel versions of Ventus, Terra and Aqua...in the story of TKoH, long, long ago...in what was once called the Age of Fairy Tales, now called the "Age of Modern Man", there was a demon, a demon so powerful that it could feed off of the life force of other peoples' Hearts until eventually, nothing at all had remained of them, this demon was referred to by all, as the "Heartless Xehanort", basically Kingdom Hearts' version of Calamity Ganon from The Legend of Zelda's latest recent release Breath of the Wild...the Heartless Xehanort was once said according to legend to have been thirteen individuals each, however, upon completely surrendering their Hearts to the Darkness for whatever reason, power, fame, fortune, you name it...these 13 individuals' Hearts had been completely swallowed by the Dark and had then merged into one, which had become the evil monster, the Heartless Xehanort...in order to stop the Heartless Xehanort before it could wreak havoc upon the "World of Light", seven princesses from seven different kingdoms were chosen due to their royal bloodlines and the magical powers bestowed upon their Hearts due to those bloodlines and by combining all of their powers into one, they crafted a door leading to eternal Darkness, there, they had banished the Heartless Xehanort, hoping that the seal would forever remain intact and the evil beast kept locked away under lock and key forever...however, there are now those in the current present times who seek to revive the Heartless Xehanort, they call themselves a "Cult of Nobodies" and now this aforementioned cult are seeking new ways to revive the beast for whatever diabolical schemes they are hatching and are plotting, they have even gone, as far, as to conduct experiments, trying to mimic the original Heartless Xehanort itself in the forms of miniature beasts, more or less taking on the gargantuan monster's form, now, in order to save the World of Light and all of the smaller Worlds within its larger sphere of Worlds, Sky, the apprentice of Wind, Land, the apprentice of Earth and Sea, the apprentice of Water must now unite, as one and band together to face off against the Dark forces and machinations of the Cult of Nobodies before they even have the chance to revive the Heartless Xehanort, however...they must also learn the bonds of teamwork and friendship in the process if they are ever to have a standing fighting chance, for the three apprentices do not exactly get along so well with one another and now this is where balance fits into the story, they must learn to put aside their differences, work with each other, as well, as other people dedicated to the cause of stopping the Cult of Nobodies and the monstrous Heartless Xehanort and both use and unlock the true powers of their weapons, the "Keyswords" and thus with Keyswords in hand, the three set out from their home-worlds, as ordered by their masters and begin journeying to the smaller Worlds within the World of Light, hoping to learn new things and experiences in these Worlds before joining together, as one by meeting at the fated place and once there, the chosen three will prove themselves not only to all the people of the Realm of Light and their masters but also to themselves especially for a strong lesson in life is self reflection...another form of balance but now, enough talk, let the journey commence and the story begin, for this is TKoH, The Kingdom of Hearts. Rules: No Godmoding. No Romance above age 12. No Swearing above age 12. Please use proper grammar. This is a parallel universe setting of the Kingdom Hearts games so although it shares certain and similar themes and aspects with the games, the Role-play itself is meant to be an entirely original story more or less with borrowed ideas from both DmC: Devil May Cry and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, in the senses that it shows new versions of our favourite Characters and that they must combat a deadly nemesis that was once Human now more monster then the former respectively. Hints can be made to the original Kingdom Hearts games but not outright connections to the actual games, this is a different setting and universe that can be considered on the other side of the mirror of the Kingdom Hearts universe where the games take place, know what i mean? You cannot create Characters based on Sora, Riku, Kairi, Ventus, Terra and Aqua but other versions of Characters such, as Axel/Lea for example are available and just to put any person's mind at ease about the Cult of Nobodies being this universe's Organization XIII, they are not, they are merely a group of worshipers and followers that are trying to resurrect the ancient evil being, the Heartless Xehanort, anyone can create their own groups based on the Organization if they so wish to, however, monsters such, as the Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed and Dream Eaters will not appear in the story, instead, new monsters will appear that will be introduced when the story first kicks off hopefully. Keyswords are what the Keyblades are called in this universe and, as for X-Blades and Ultima Weapon Keyblades that appear in the Role-play, they are combined, as one in this universe and are called "Ultima Xs", Ultima Xs are what is referred to, as the final transformation and form of a Keysword once it has reached full maturity alongside its chosen wielder, they basically function like the Starlight Keyblade from Kingdom Hearts Chi does in terms of they can change shape upon a Character leveling up, each time a Character levels up upon reaching the numbers 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and so on, a person can change the shape of their Keyblade if they so desire or just stay with its regular appearance, whichever suits the Role-players' preferences. Characters from other franchises, Final Fantasy can appear in the Role-play but they are parallel versions of their normal Kingdom Hearts selves which who of are parallels to begin with but the unique thing upon their inclusion is that they can be portrayed however they like, for examples, Sephiroth isn't a villain and is instead a hero and Cloud is not a brooder but rather a more sociable person, that's the fun in how these Characters can be portrayed within the Role-play, Final Fantasy, Disney and Kingdom Hearts Characters all alike, we can see new sides of them that we have never seen before. Please put down "One Destiny, Different Sky" to show that you have read the Rules at the end of your Character Sheets. You can have up to, as many Characters, as you can portray. Have fun! :]. P.S: The starting point for all Characters to meet up is the World known, as "Lux Town", it is the central hub World for the Role-play and where the Tutorial will take place, revealing how travelling to other Worlds is possible and is performed, how people fight with their weapons, especially Keyswords and where the heroes will learn of what the villains, the Cult of Nobodies are currently plotting, other Characters that are villainous may choose to align with the cult or not and work towards their own agendas, like Maleficent and Pete do in the games. 16. This is just one of many examples of what I can potentially create when I get bored and don't have anything better to do.
  17. I hope this is the right spot to post this. Sorry if it isn't the right spot. This is my take on the Demon Tower boss battle, when playing 0.2 in Beginner Mode. It isn't much, and I know it might be a bit cringe-y for a lot of you. I was just starting out playing this on the 29th of November. I made more recordings of myself playing 0.2 as well as DDD. I know my take on Phantom Aqua is terrible, because I didn't know her fighting patterns.
  18. Tagline: "...Our battle is over...but the war...has only just begun."
