Welcome, Naruto fans, to the official discussion thread regarding "Boruto: Naruto Next Generations", the upcoming manga series detailing the adventure's of Naruto's son Boruto Uzumaki, as well any other Boruto related topics. Here we can talk about our thoughts/theories on the upcoming manga, the additional one-shot, what we thought of Boruto: Naruto The Movie, and so on. As a reminder, here is the article that confirmed the upcoming one-shot and full manga series. Also here is some other additional material that you might not know about: "Boruto: Road to B" (promotional Boruto movie one-shot featuring the artist for the Naruto SD series) "The Day Naruto Became Hokage" (a bonus omake also related to Boruto found in the latest guidebook Zai No Sho. There is also going to be an anime adaption released with the Blu Ray/DVD version of Boruto: Naruto The Movie this July.)
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is the newest Naruto game from Namco Bandai! Not much is known yet, but judging from the trailer, it looks to be a fighting (Or adventure?) game very focused on free movement through the game's environments. The trailer highlights 4 vs 4 team matches, a first for the Naruto series. The trailer shows a focus on Part 2/Shippuden, and the title suggests that Boruto's storyline will feature as well. It looks very promising! Confirmed characters:
|| SYNOPSIS || Under orders of the current reigning Hokage Naruto Uzumaki, Konohagakure has reached an alliance with Tarinai Village, a small, recently formed ninja village host to many new budding ninja clans. The village head reached out to Uzumaki in hopes of economic stability due to the village’s poor recession as of late, and thus, the alliance has allowed Tarinai ninja to make their stay in Konoha and work with Konoha’s crop of shinobi... - - - - - || "WELCOME TO KONOHA" Arc -- START || An early afternoon is usually a busy one for the citizens of Konoha, but even more so now that visitors from Tarinai Village were making their stay at the most frequent pace. Houses were being bought, carriages of supplies were being carried throughout the streets, and some citizens took to exploring the cityscape to get a good read of their new home. Two in particular, both young boys, stood outside the Hokage's Office, having just left after finishing their record transfers to become official Konoha shinobi, including being given official Konoha shinobi headbands. "Not too shabby, huh Koukon? I mean, I really feel like a shinobi now. Things are lookin' great so far," Kinniku said, tying his headband to his right arm. The very sight of a headband was impressive to Kinniku due to Tarinai's funding not even being able to supply headbands at all.
Article The "Next Generation" Naruto countdown issued by WSJ is now closed, and the project behind it is now confirmed: a brand, new full length "Boruto" manga, written by Ukyo Kodachi, who wrote Gaara Hiden and worked on the screenplay for Boruto The Movie, and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto, an assistant to Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto on the original Naruto manga. Kishimoto himself will also be making a new Boruto one-shot that will most likely tie into this brand new series. The above image coupled with the announcement graphic is presumably artwork done by Ikemoto himself and might be a preview of what to expect from the new manga. Not too much in terms of significance is shown other than some new or altered character designs. However, there are some new elements such as the return of Team Shinki, a genin team from Sand Village featured in Boruto The Movie, as well as a new unknown character located on the far right. I, for one, was expecting a new manga rather than something like a new anime or film, so I'm not too surprised by this. I wasn't counting on a new one-shot, though.
