  1. [This setting takes place many years before the events of games like birth by sleep and KH1. I feel this is probably the easiest to enter simply because it doesn't display the characters in the rest of the series like Sora or Riku. However, there is an element that connects to the entire franchise I may display as spoilers. I recommend you understand the other games just in case. So, please read with caution] - - - - - - - - - Long, long ago, during the time known to be the age of fairy tales, many Keybalde wielders reside in a place called DayBreak Town. We follow a group of people known as the Foretellers, who were under the teachings of their master, simply known as the Master of Masters. The Master assigned each of his five apprentices [Ira (EE-RA), Invi, Aced (AH-SAID), Ava, and Gula] a copy of his Book of Prophecies and a role they must follow. The sixth apprentice, Luxu (LOO-SHU) was sent away to carry out his role without the book. Once set, the master disappears without a trace. Meanwhile, the foretellers lead their unions and carry out their roles. One day, they discover that there is a traitor amongst them. It is up to them to see who the traitor is while keeping up with their role to keep this land alive despite the inevitable fate that is to come. - - - - - - - - - - This title is unique simply because it is mostly the movie. So, there are no gameplay thoughts on this (will get to that bit with my Union Cross posts). So, this more a less a movie review. As you know, this takes place in the past. I really like the world building in the series. I always find fascinating on how it has their own world and trying to connect some of the Disney worlds (note, there are no Disney worlds displayed in this movie). This adds to the world building and it's history. As for the characters.... kinda meh for me....at least with the foretellers. Despite them being young, they are incredibly stale and not fun. I mean, I can tell which is which they have some sort of identity...sort of. However, there is only one character that seems to stand out and gave me a few good chuckles and and some fun, that being the Master of Masters. Despite him having no face to show and wears the coat, he had the most personality than any character in this particular title. He can be fun and silly but can easily switch to being serious and hard to read making him the, by far, most mysterious character in the series. The story is really nothing special. I was actually excited at first in hopes to see the big important event in the engine. But no, the focus are the in sections for each of the foretellers known as cases. It's not terrible, it's just kinda boring. They each display their conversation with the Master of Masters and what roles they are bestowed to fulfill. For example, we have the case of Ira, the master of masters bestowed him leadership to lead the foretellers. I will leave the rest of the cases for you to watch. But there are 2 cases I find more fascinating that actually effect the events in the series. [THIS SECTION CONTAINS SPOILERS] Ava's case more or so effect the events in this timeline a bit of the rest of the series. Her role was to gather a large amount of talented Keyblade wielders to flee from the inevitable event and keep the light alive. They are labeled as the Dandelions. This case also effects certain characters in this timeline, but will read into that in one of my future Union cross reviews. We have the case of Luxu. His role was to just simply watch the big important event unfold. He was also talked to carry a couple of items with him: one being Xehanort's Keyblade and a mysterious black box. The fact that his Keyblade is now a vital thing makes far more connected to KH3. Then there is the mysterious black box. As I write this, I do not know how KH3 will approach this maguffin. But, it is so unknown what inside the box, all we could do was just come up with theories.
  2. We know that after the Keyblade War happened and after Kingdom Hearts was lost to darkness, the World was recreated and reborn. Before the Keyblade War in the Age of Fairy Tales, the World was one massive piece of land. We do not know if it was an infinite flat piece of land or if it was just a massive planet or something, but we do know that it was very different than how the World is now. After the Keyblade War, something caused the World to be recreated into a World comprised of many smaller worlds/planets. One of the biggest questions I have always wondered about KH is "What caused the World to be reborn?" I've always thought of different scenarios and answers that would make sense. The one that I always assumed was probably the correct answer was that the Keyblade War was so destructive that it split the World/massive planet into many smaller worlds/planets. But, I now have realized the true answer. I was rereading the Xehanort's Report and I came across a bit of info that I'm guessing went under many people's noses. The part I'm talking about is this: "And when Kingdom Hearts is complete, it is said the one who opens its door will bring about the creation of the Next World. Such a feat is above any human. Or, to put it a different way: whoever opens that door will be reborn as something far greater than human." It suddenly hit me when I read this. I've always assumed that no one was able to unlock Kingdom Hearts way back in the Age of Fairy Tales and the Keyblade War just simply caused it to fade away. But no, that's not the case. Someone was able to unlock Kingdom Hearts way back in the Age of Fairy Tales after the Keyblade War. Someone unlocked Kingdom Hearts and was reborn into something far greater than human and created the Next World. The Next World is the world that people are currently living in now. The Next World is the world that is comprised of many smaller worlds. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think I've seen a single person come to this realization yet. "How could we have been so blind?!" as King Mickey would say. Or maybe I'm just dumb and everyone has realized this already. This theory brings up many questions: Who unlocked Kingdom Hearts? Whoever they are basically became a god. Where is this godlike entity now? How does this connect with the Dandelions? I've always been a huge critic of the theory that some characters might be reincarnations of characters from the Age of Fairy Tales since it doesn't really have much evidence, but this could maybe mean that a character we know might be this godlike entity that was reborn. What do you think about all of this? What do you think this theory implies? How do you think this theory connects to everything? Any details I'm missing? EDIT: Another thing to note is that in the same Report, Xehanort states "To this day, no one has ever managed to open the door to Kingdom Hearts", but maybe he just doesn't know that it was unlocked way back then? Maybe this theory is completely incorrect, but it seems to fit so perfectly. How else would the World have been recreated into one with many smaller worlds? This theory makes way too much sense in my opinion to not be at least somewhat true.
  3. When the likes of Ephemera appeared in Chi, people automatically jumped on the bandwagon that he could be a seeker of darkness. I myself was semi sympathetic; semi skeptical. Carrying on when Skuld was introduced again people jumped on the bandwagon. Yet excluding the rebirth theory ( which off topic I'm still not a fan of) or some more complicated time travel rubbish, it didn't add up how they could appear in modern times. However, I think this has changed without the need for Xehanort to be alive during the chi era adding a realistic prospective for a change. In the last story update Master Ava expressed knowledge of the up coming keyblade war and revealed her plans to create Dandelions ( awful name I know- especially since they are weeds) to send a special group of keyblade wielders to another world to escape the upcoming war. If Square did wish to pursue this to modern times; then this could work within the storyline. Time flows differently depending on what realm you are in, so I propose the dandelions were sent to another realm. We've seen the Realms of light; darkness; sleep, inbetween. so it's extremely plausible there are other unknown realms out there; therefore if such realm exists then time would flow differently to that of the realm of light where the majority of the series takes place. We know the keyblade war is a historic fact and I hate to break it to people but our own individual characters will probably die ( cheery thought). We also know the worlds were remade and were not United anymore; however I question whether the dandelions were successful. Kairi's grandmother in her fairytale story refers to the light of children being the cause for this. I do not believe these were the dandelions at all; after all if that was the case; one would expect a lot more wielders to present or a wider knowledge; also as those of you know fairy tales focus on all aspects and there isn't record of a ' key shaped weapon' or ' valiant Warriors'. Thereby I conclude the dandelions are still where Ava sent them. This links to KH3 due to the fact if they are lost; you could have a hunt to find them. The idea of Xehanort knowing about this isn't unrealistic; especially since his master or the master's master could have been around to remember that individuals disappeared before the keyblade war. Thus making them the subject of legends almost like a concept of hidden treasure. To provide a brief summary- consider the dandelions like King Arthur in British folklore, powerful and wise and waiting for a return. The interesting outcome would be how precious keyblade wielders adapt the new world they might find themselves in and that could be exploited to serve the darkness either as an ally to Xehanort or as a future antagonist
