  1. The upcoming Kingdom Hearts 20th Anniversary Famitsu interview with Tetsuya Nomura arriving tomorrow has shared preview images with information being shared by prominent leaker Ryokutya. A summation of the provided information has been translated by our team's Ryuji, viewable below: The latest trailer was shown in Unreal Engine 4, but by the next time we see KH4 make an appearance, we will certainly see it in Unreal Engine 5. The girl who knows Quadratum [possibly the Nameless Star’s identity] is still a secret. It is unknown whether she’ll appear in KH4 or not, but Nomura does suggest she is a Verum Rex character. The “Lost Masters” refers to an opposition group, similar to Organization XIII. The 5 masters aside from Luxu have completely vanished. It is unknown if they’ll make an appearance in Kingdom Hearts IV. They each have different purposes and newfound purposes for this saga. The scenario for this arc will be written by Nomura, Oka Masaru, and Akiko Ishibashi. The scenario for Missing Link will be written by Ruiko Fukazawa (writer for Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward). The Dark Road finale is being animated by 2 female animators, who are hard at work. There are no plans to release any KH4 information in the near future.

  5. Famitsu recently published an early look at an interview they conducted with Tetsuya Nomura regarding Kingdom Hearts IV and Kingdom Hearts Missing - Link. Prominent community translator, Audrey, translated significant information from this interview pertaining to Kingdom Hearts IV, so immense credit to her. We will be updating this article when the information surrounding Missing - Link is translated, and when the full interview releases on April 28th, 2022. For now, the summations of Audrey's work are listed below: Quadratum is entirely unrelated to the Shibuya found in The World Ends with You. There are no connections to speak of. Further, this is a new world unrelated to any we've seen before. Sora's apartment is located in Aoyama, Tokyo, and it will act as the base/hub for the game's early stages. The Reaction Command mechanic from Kingdom Hearts II will be returning. The fourth option of the command menu says "Build," relating to the concept of the "Scrap and Rebuild system" that will be discussed more at a later date. Translator Xenosaga states this to be the concept of destruction and reconstruction. One of the central story ideas will be exploring how Sora's home realm is fictitious to Quadratum natives and vice versa. The message Nomura left at the Anniversary Event venue containing the "x" symbol has not been fully deciphered yet. Our team's Ryuji has translated the currently available Kingdom Hearts Missing - Link segment of the Famitsu interview, viewable below: UPDATE: The anniversary message riddle has been solved by user @kh_skrvat and several other Japanese fans. Our translator, Ryuji, provided the following image for visualization. This means that the narrator for the Kingdom Hearts IV and Kingdom Hearts Missing - Link trailers is Sigurd, a character introduced in the epilogue of Kingdom Hearts Union χ. The explanation for how this was solved is below, via our team's Ryuji.

  7. Twitter user @PushDustIn recently shared translations of a Famitsu column detailing Sora's arrival into Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. This column states that Sora had an expected arduous barrier of entry to prevail against due to his ties with Disney. However, a chance meeting at an award show between Sakurai and a Disney executive led to the talks initially beginning. After Sakurai expressed his desire to see Sora join the title, lengthy discussions between Nintendo, Disney, and Square Enix occurred to see this dream finally come to fruition. Translator Ryokutya2089 also provided his interpretation of this news. This is quite poetic in a sense, considering how the sheer existence of Kingdom Hearts as a franchise only happened because of a chance meeting. In addition, Sora's internal codename is "Trail," interestingly enough. This perhaps hearkens to the end of the original Kingdom Hearts, where Sora, Donald, and Goofy chase Pluto across the long and winding trail leading to Castle Oblivion, but that's just speculation on my part.
