    We are hiring for Moderators!

Hey guys! We are now looking to hire a few new moderators to help keep the forum safe, productive, and bot free! What do Moderators do? There are a list of things Moderators do! Fill out Reports. Reports are made when there are posting violations, bots, issues with fellow members, and other such things. We remove bad posts/offensive remarks/fights/bad threads When you see a shitstorm we are there to save the day! We handle member issues and fights. We correct double posting, move threads to proper places, and enforce other posting rules. What are we looking for? Someone who knows and always follows the posting rules. Someone with great people skills that can mediate issues and help other members get along. When you see a shitstorm you can see it going two ways. One way is everyone is joining in and going for the ride, or the second way where people are upset, saddened, and hurt/offended. We moderators don't want this. Different members in different time zones to cover everything. Someone who can remain unbiased and can properly discern issues fairly. Someone who can be responsible and reliable and is not joining strictly just for funsies. We need you to be active! Someone that sets a great example for other fellow members to follow. Someone that fellow members can talk to if they are upset, hurt, angry, or need a shoulder to lean on. This job can be very fun but also requires work and patience and a lot of great people skills. If you are not very social and patient this is not the job for you. This position is not for everyone. We are basically the government/police of the site here to serve all our fellow members fairly and justly so everyone can enjoy a peaceful, friendly, and fun community. We need you to understand that as a mod you will be moderating spoilers and preventing our members from getting spoiled. This is very important for anyone applying! If interested, please apply by commenting here or sending a PM and you can later answer a few test scenarios to see how you would react in given situations. Once picked you will begin a trial period to see how you perform and if you are a good fit you will be hired on long term. Good luck and we look forward to welcoming you to the team! - The KH13 Moderating Team
  2. The Kingdom Hearts III trophy list has been leaked on Reddit. The user was able to access the information through PS4 servers. PS4 trophy lists are set to be out before a games' release, but the list itself is not currently accessible to those with Kingdom Hearts III digital pre-orders. The list can be seen below. Due to our spoiler policy, this information will not be reported on the front page and will only be available, here, in the Kingdom Hearts III spoilers sub-forum.
  3. So after watching the Final Battle Trailer, I have come to believe that there is more significance to the Sora Chess Piece being alone. If you've been avoiding news snippets like the extra stuff that we've seen at TGS, I suggest you turn back now if you want to go into KHIII fresh. As we have seen, there is going to be a part in Kingdom Hearts III where the Guardians of Light are going to get beaten, quite severely, at that. Now, here's the thing. I don't think they're going to die, necessarily, but I do think that they're going to be held captive, or some sort of purgatory. The reason I believe this is because I recall Vanitas speaking in the Keyblade Graveyard: "Only when your hopes have been broken by battle upon battle can the key to Kingdom Hearts be claimed." It seems from this, they are likely going to have their captives keep fighting, as indicated by Riku fighting Replica Riku, and Lea getting slammed with Xemnas' lasers. (Alternatively, they could all have simply been put in various states after getting beaten, like maybe out of commission, but let's assume for the sake of this topic that they're made to continue fighting. I'll explain why later.) They all get captured. The King, Riku, Lea, Kairi, Donald, Goofy, they get taken by the 13... except for Sora. Because of Riku, he manages to escape. He's distressed about it. As we've seen in the 30 second spot, he's only ever fought alongside his friends, but he's never had to do it alone. He feels he CAN'T do it alone. But Riku reassures him. "Sora, you don't believe that. I know you don't." After what happens in the Graveyard goes down for the first time, Sora is left alone. He has to find a way to save everyone on his own. He probably still feels like he can't do it... until a pep talk from a certain best buddy, home skilly biscuit, home slice for life: Chirithy! (That's what I call him, haha) There's probably more to it and more people involved than that, but Chirithy does ask Sora if he knows how to bring back a heart after it's lost. Maybe he learns it there? After that, Sora resolves to continue where they left off: find more Guardians of Light to help save his friends. How does he start? By finding a way to the Realm of Darkness to save Aqua. There have been various cutscenes in the trailers where, oddly enough, we see Sora alone when talking to some of the Darknesses. Vanitas, Young Xehanort. I believe at this point in those times, we're playing as Sora, and he's trying to find a way into the Realm of Darkness. And eventually he does. And as we've clearly seen in the TGS footage, Sora fights Aqua alone. Perhaps this is why? Now, granted, Aqua's scenario may indeed involve the Master's Defender, and I have no sure proof to suggest that it is after he gets the Master's Defender is when they go save Aqua. Alternatively, though, there's also no concrete proof supporting the fact that it is when he gets the Master's Defender is when he goes for Aqua. Anyway, he restores Aqua, and then the next order of business is saving Ven. I like to believe that Vanitas probably still feels Ventus and Sora though his connection to Ventus' heart, and likely surmises what Sora's trying to do. As of the Final Battle trailer, we can see that it seems that Vanitas doesn't really care for Xehanort's plot much. He's mainly trying to merge Ventus' heart with his again. Maybe he lets Xehanort know, or decides to go on his own, and get the heart back himself. Cue them in Castle Oblivion/Land of Departure, trying to get Ventus back, and Vanitas shows up. Aqua hold him off, while Sora dives into Ven's heart. Not sure how this portion will end, but I have a feeling it'll end with my long-awaited showdown between Sora and Vanitas, the later of whom may not survive the fight. Perhaps one of the Darknesses takes Ven while this happens. Maybe he has his heart back, but it's taking him a while to wake up due to how long he's been a sleep. A slow reboot so to speak. They go back to the Keyblade Graveyard, and end up confronting Terra-Xehanort. How he is there, I don't know. Is he one of the Darknesses? I do not know. What I do know is that Sora and Ventus were chained up by dark versions of the Lingering Will chain technique in the Final Battle trailer. Terra-Xehanort has them, but then they're saved by the Lingering Will, which could lead to Terra being saved. If that is the case, he now has 4 Lights to fight the Darknesses. Him, Ven, Aqua, and Terra. I also believe Roxas will be fighting for the Lights as well. Perhaps the whole thing with Roxas takes up a good chunk of the story in the meanwhile. He gets taken out of Simulated Twilight Town, has to get checked up on by Ansem the Wise and Ienzo, and then shows up later to save Lea. He could probably save him from Xemnas' ultimate attack, and point the Kingdom Key at him, before summoning his other Keyblade, and shifting them to Oblivion and Oathkeeper like he did at the end of 358/2 Days. He swipes at Xemnas, and then removes his hood like at the end of the TGS trailer. I also think Sora might recruit Xion and Namine, but I have no proof nor any explanations as to how he will do so. All I know is that if he succeeds, there will be a new group of Seven Lights. Sora. Aqua. Ventus. Terra. Roxas. Xion. Namine. To conclude, I really hope this theory turns out to be true, though I have to stress again this is all merely speculation on my part. Still, it makes for a great character development arc for Sora, that would only have him engaging in a venture worthy of a Keyblade Master. He has always said his friends were his power, and he theirs... Now it's time for him to prove it.
  4. of all the spoilers we’ve gotten with the kh3 trailers, I’m glad Nomura really hasn’t spoiled that much. we still don’t know how roxas will be saved (or if he will be). we haven’t seen vanitas without his helmet (low key a blessing bc i didn’t want to see him without his helmet until i play the game). we haven’t seen kairi and lea actually training. we haven’t seen aqua being saved. we really haven’t seen terra or ventus that much. we haven’t seen much of master xehanort or his agenda. we don’t even know who all the actual 13 seekers of darkness and 7 guardians of light are.

I love how Kingdom Hearts 3 isn't even out & yet RIKU POURING HIS ALL INTO AN ATTACK AGAINST AN UNYIELDING SWARM OF MANIFESTED DARKNESS IN ORDER TO PROTECT SORA IS ALREADY ONE OF THE MOST ICONIC SHOTS OF THE GAME.
  6. So, as I was writing my theory on the significance of the Lone Sora Chess Piece scene, something occurred to me about the final scene of the Final Battle trailer. Those figures look awfully identical, right? You would think, that since the 13 Vessels have a fragment of Xehanort's heart, they would each be of different sizes and lengths, yes? But they're not. And here is what I believe... I believe that those figures are actually If that is very much true, then some things that we've seen start making absolute sense. First of all, Vexen's introduction to the True Organization XIII. Now, I personally am unsure as to whether or not he's truly loyal to the Organization. Perhaps he's the one Demyx is carrying in that one bit where he appears to Ienzo in the TGS trailer? Regardless, Xehanort would want him in his group for one reason, and one reason only: The Replica Program. Vexen crafted two Replicas who went to greatly form a sense of self: Xion and the Riku Replica. Doubtless, the old Organization was really invested in what could be done with it, but then of course Axel destroyed him. They couldn't go further. But with Vexen now in their ranks, he can do just that. Maybe that's how the other Riku shows up? He recreates it. However, if they all do have fragments of Xehanort's heart in them, then it could potentially be possible that he could see what's in their minds, and can therefore make their knowledge his.It is then potentially possible that he can make his own Replicas of himself if he doesn't already have Vexen doing it for him. And why would he do that? Because, to quote MoM, he's always thinkin' and thinkin' underneath that bald, veiny head of his. Xehanort is known as a master planner and tactician, so it would make sense for him to have a backup plan should this new Organization fail him. And why wouldn't he? Recall that Xemnas admitted that Ansem's apprentices' original experiments with the Heartless were attempts to control the mind, and make it renounce its sense of self. And yet, despite him having 13 Seekers of Darkness, they are still rather individualistic. Examples: Xigbar still kinda antagonizes Xehanort (i.e. What now, you old coot?!") Saix still going to talk to Lea in Twilight Town, even after they've established their sides, instead probably focusing on starting the Keyblade War. Vanitas still wanting to merge with Ventus, even after having been told that becoming the X-Blade will make him whole, meaning he probably no longer believes that. And the fact that they still don't probably know the full extent of Xehanort's plans, though this was as off Re:coded, and might have changed by the time of KHIII. The bottom line is that they still retain their sense of self, and not on the level Terra-Xehanort was (though MX sent his full heart into him, but there should still be signs that his presence should be within them beside the physical yellow eyes and pointy ears.) Overall, Xehanort making Replicas to replace the True Organization should they fail is totally a valid thing he would do. It's in his character, and he would be more than willing to do it. Another hint is that in the beginning of the Final Battle trailer, we see multiple No Names floating behind him when he summons Kingdom Hearts. It made me recall that there was two Kingdom Keys present at the same time, when Roxas and Xion still existed. It would make sense that the Replicas all have copies of the No Name. (Though I'm still hoping all of the True Organization XIII members get their own Keyblades in KHIII.) Overall, this is all still speculation on my part... but I'm honestly convinced that this is what will likely be as to who those figures are.

[URGENT] Kingdom Hearts III has Leaked! Be Wary

Guys! Some people have managed to get their hands on Kingdom Hearts III copies. It's now time to be EXTREMELY careful with spoilers on the internet as they will start to be abundant. According to some people on Reddit, about 30 copies have been sold and it has been verified. I've actually seen a 30 second video of brand new footage that I will not be sharing. Be careful everyone, delete your search histories and video histories on Youtube. Don't let a few impatient fans ruin your experience.
  8. So after reading the Kingdom Hearts 3 Premiere Event Recap, something Nomura said surprised me. When asked about the tone for KH3, specifically relating to its ending, he said this. "If you have been playing Kingdom Hearts Union χ[cross] on your mobile platform, you would know that we have foreshadowed that light will be defeated by darkness. So you may see what happens with that being foreshadowed. I actually do believe it may have some kind of a "difficult ending" that you may find a bit difficult to grasp. It depends on whether or not everyone can go against all odds and overcome what's being foretold." From what he's saying here, is he hinting that Light will indeed fall into Darkness, as Xehanort has been wanting all this time? Could it be that, at the end, Sora does succeed in defeating Xehanort, but in the end, ends up losing all the worlds to darkness? That's the feeling I'm getting from his comments. What do y'all think?
  9. NOTE: This post discusses a possible leak - meaning it could contain possible spoilers. Any fully confirmed spoilers have been marked by the spoiler code. Everything else is discussed freely. On March 5, 2018, an anonymous 4chan user posted an alleged leak, claiming it was legitimate information on Kingdom Hearts III. The post has since been deleted, but it can still be accessed from archives on Fireden. Amongst other questionable information, the post claims the following: As with any alleged leak, there are many reasons to dismiss it: It has not been announced via legitimate channels. Kingdom Hearts III is/may still subject to marketing and content changes. On March 15, 2018, an anonymous 4chan user claimed that this leak was fake, saying that the user who posted it is someone they know who "spread it using the information from the data leak about world assets." (Note that one cannot confirm the legitimacy of this counter-post either.) There are no relevant events or series of events taking place in "early April" that are known to showcase new Kingdom Hearts III trailers. (While PAX East, taking place in April 5-8 this year, had previously revealed a new back in 2013, it has never revealed a Kingdom Hearts III trailer before.) The only relevant event in April is the Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] Fan Event, which takes place in April 15, 2018, i.e. in mid-April. The alleged leak states that The Jungle Book is "one of the only two 'classic' films being represented as worlds in KHIII."* The alleged leak states that "the Keyblade [obtainable in The Jungle Book world] is shaped like the tree Baloo scratches his back on in the film." This sounds very much like The Jungle Book Keyblade design by fan portadorX, viewable on their deviantART gallery. *This can be easily argued as: Upon assessing and investigating this claim fully and discussing it with our sources, KH13 have concluded that there may be chance that some information in this leak might be true. We are neither confirming nor denying some of the information in this leak, for the reasons numbered above. We are merely stating our conclusion following research based on our own resources. Regardless of our observations, we strongly advise fans to REMAIN SKEPTICAL of this information as well as any future allegations. KH13.com's spoiler policy on Kingdom Hearts III allows discussion on publicly or exclusively announced content (eg. trailers, interviews, promotional pictures, etc.). However, leaks are to be discussed in the Spoilers subforum only. Avatars, statuses, and thread titles must not contain spoilers. We may be revising our Kingdom Hearts III spoiler policy in the future, according to future content releases by Square Enix and Disney. KH13 will not be reporting on the content of leaks we confirm to be true on our official news channels. This alleged leak aside, there is some interesting existing trivia surrounding the inclusion of the world of The Jungle Book in the Kingdom Hearts series. In an interview at E3 2013, series director Tetsuya Nomura stated, "The Jungle Book is one world that we always try to insert, but due to various circumstances it always ends up being cut." This was clearly shown when Keytotruth found removed content featuring the world of The Jungle Book in the Japanese edition of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. You can see the video below, where areas from the movie, including King Louie's Throne, are explored. Keytotruth told KH13 that in regards to The Jungle Book world in Birth by Sleep, the only thing left in the game were some map files and references from old file names the developing team didn't clean up. "Most of these maps don't have any actual models, just an empty room," he stated, referring to the video below. "Judging by the world order, world being number 7, it would have taken place between Radiant Garden and Disney Town." Keytotruth explains his findings and opinion on The Jungle Book world in BBS in the following video: A full list of map file names found by Keytotruth (and their respective translations) can be seen below: Upon looking at the assets of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, KH13 user 13th Vessel also found a collision from a deleted map with the name "jb_621.bcd", where "jb" could be the world code for Jungle Book - as file names for each Disney world are denoted by two initials based on the movie's name, as explained in this article, and as shown by Keytotruth's findings above. He explained that maps with the numbers 60, 61, and 62 are "Dive Mode" maps, and speculates that the game initially included the Dive Map of a world inspired by The Jungle Book. You can read more about his findings here. In an old 2005 interview with PlayStation, Nomura stated, "One basic rule that I go by is that, among all the Disney worlds that exist, I try not to pick worlds that have a similar feel or look to them, for example, The Jungle Book and Tarzan. Visually, they might look a little similar." It can therefore be assumed that The Jungle Book was initially considered as a world in the first Kingdom Hearts game, but did not make it to the shortlist due to aesthetic similarities shared with Tarzan. The Jungle Book was also to make an appearance in the cancelled Kingdom Hearts TV show by director Seth Kearsley, as revealed in the title page of an episode draft written by Kevin Munroe. Furthermore, The Jungle Book medals are present in Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross], first introduced back in 2016 to celebrate the release of the live action movie. Kingdom Hearts III is not unfamiliar with exploring previously deleted content from the history of the series - namely, Toy Story. A Toy Story world is assumed to have been considered since the development of the very first game; in a document pitching the game that was never released to the public, a world icon concept art is shown featuring what looks like Andy's house on top of a Pizza Planet rocket. (You can see the full scan below.) Toy Story was ultimately not included in the game; this could have been due to disputes between Pixar and Disney at the time, which were eventually followed by Disney's purchase of Pixar - and the right to its movies - in 2006. Furthermore, Toy Story models were found in the data of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, which released in 2007. Models of Woody and Buzz were found back in 2010 by user Yaz0r; they were amongst the summon models, leading to the assumptions that they were planned for summoning in the game. Returning to the present, we now know that Toy Story is a confirmed world in Kingdom Hearts III, as announced almost a year ago at the D23 Expo 2017. Based on these observations, nothing is currently ruling out the presence of a The Jungle Book world in Kingdom Hearts III. We could even refer back to 13th Vessel's find of the deleted file with the code "jb" in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, and the fact that Nomura considers Kingdom Hearts III's story to begin with that game. "The scenes in KH3D and KH0.2 should be thought of as a prologue to KHIII," he stated in a 2016 interview with Famitsu. "The stories for KH3D and KH0.2 connect with KHIII. For me, KHIII begins with KH3D. The subtitle for KH2.8 [Final Chapter Prologue] holds that meaning to it." With this in mind, it is more than possible that the work on The Jungle Book world could be carried on to Kingdom Hearts III. From our own investigation, we think that some of the information in the recent 4chan leak might have a possibility of truth to it (whether genuinely or by chance) but please retain your skepticism despite this. However, whether the leak is true or not, and whether you choose to believe in it or not, there is certainly scope for The Jungle Book to finally make a (long awaited) appearance in the Kingdom Hearts series.
  10. If you've not played Birth By Sleep don't read this as it'll spoil the ending. So, I was doing some thinking and came up with a what if of sorts and was wondering what everyone else thinks on the matter. What if Aqua didn't send Terranort back into the realm of light and instead they both fell into the realm of darkness? What do you guys think would have happened? Ansem the wise wouldn't have been sent there, the organisation wouldn't have been started, lots of things would have worked out completely differently. So what do you all think would have happened? This is just curiousity and speculation Let me know what you all think.

    The Black Box

“And the only real Kingdom Hearts was swallowed by the darkness, never to surface again” – Master Xehanort This is my first post I´ve been following this site for a long time but just now I take the decision to join the community, please be nice ****Spoilers**** What´s inside the Black Box from MoM? We only know that the Master gave it to Luxu with the promise to never open it. When Luxu asked about what was inside it we only get to see Luxu´s “But why?” reaction to the secret inside it and the MoM “You´ll see” answer. But how can you see what´s inside a box you are not supposed to open. Well if you think about it, it´s pretty simple how. Somebody else will. “But why?” and who? Well… “You´ll see”. Remember the first scene in 0.2 Birth by Sleep –A fragmentary passage–? Keep it in mind. The Box We know Nomura said in an interview that the box will be appearing in KH3 and that somebody will be looking for it. At that time we didn´t know who was actually looking for it. With the Orchestra Trailer we now know that Maleficent is that somebody. A good question can be about how Maleficent knew about the Black Box. Well, she also did know about the Book of Prophecies. We can only assume that Master Xehanort told her about it back in BbS. Knowing about who told Maleficent about the box is not actually an important thing for this theory, the important thing about it is knowing why would she be looking for it and what would the box does after being open. The first question is simple, rule the worlds like she said in coded but as for the second question, well… remember the final scene of KHχ? We saw the present day Maleficent showing up in an era she does not belong to. How did she got in there? Well… Nomura once said that KHχ and KH3 were being written at the same time so there´s a direct connection to them both. Maleficent appear in the KHχ because she found the box in KH3. What´s inside the Black Box? I believe that the box has a tool or a machine that allow you to go back in time, a teleporter perhaps. A machine that allows you to travel to time and also lets you to move things through it. Remember MoM telling Luxu “You´ll see”, he was not to open the box because in the future Maleficent will be the one to open it, go back in time and… “And the only real Kingdom Hearts was swallowed by the darkness, never to surface again”. Maleficent transport the real Kingdom Hearts to the future, maybe close to the final battle between Sora and Xehanort. That´s why nobody has seen the real Kingdom Hearts, because it traveled through time and that´s also why MoM gave task to Ava to make the Dandelions, so the worlds can move on after Kingdom Hearts disappear. Remember the first scene of in 0.2 Birth by Sleep –A fragmentary passage–? That´s where Luxu saw what was inside the box. Kingdom Hearts fallen to the darkness and being transported to the future. MoM´s Plan Remember that in KHχBC MoM in many occasions said that he may disappear one day? Well he did know what was inside the box. He also traveled to the current era alongside with the Kingdom Hearts. MoM is a smart man, just like Xehanort is. We need to assume that Nomura will not make a whole game placed in the first Keyblade War to just serve the KH3 story. Of course not, that game will also prepare us for KH4 with the MoM being the main villain. We know that Maleficent has been trick from Master Xehanort when she was collecting the 7 Princesses of Hearts. I believe that with the Black Box thing will be the same. But, the one that were pulling the strings was and always have been MoM. With the Gazing Eye he saw everything that have happened through the Xehanort Saga and will make his return in KH4. This theory may not be 100% correct as for what will actually happen in the game but I believe this theory have some truth as for where the story is going. I hope you enjoy it and I would like to see your comments. Thanks!
  12. Japanese version: "Surprise!" English version: "You'll see!" Am I detecting a subtle difference with the context of this scene? The Japanese makes it sound like he revealed himself while the English makes it look like he is expecting Luxu to find out for himself. Feel free to discuss your thoughts on this translation difference and how it reflects the scene of the secret he explained to Luxu.
  13. What's up everyone, today I made a video looking at who I believe is the traitor in Kingdom Hearts X! So I hope you all enjoy!
  14. Hi guys this is my first post here I just registered today Btw I have been thinking about the conversation of Aqua and Terra/Terranort. When Terra became Terranort, he asked Aqua if he is or they are in the Chamber of Waking and Aqua answered yes when clearly they are in the Realm of Darkness (obviously very far). And then some time later a Darkside (not sure here) grabs Aqua and Ven. If you remember on the ending of the BBS Secret Episode, there's a part there where Ven disappears from the chair in the Chamber of Waking. My theory is that Terranort (or Xehanort maybe) is actually near or in the Chamber of Waking already and asked Aqua through some way I don't know and the Darkside grabbing Ven and Ven disappearing from the chair is Ven getting kidnapped or something lol. And another question is why did Aqua say yes if clearly they're not in the Chamber of Waking? I know this is a weird theory lol but I had to ask hahaha
  15. Okay so I don't know if anyone started a thread on this yet but what do you guys think is in those cases? He said something along the lines of 'To keep the darkness away'. Do you think they finally got some Keyblade armour seeing as they've already had black coats?
  16. I haven't posted in a very long time lol. Hey guys! ^_^ I just got done everything on the Kingdom Hearts 2.8 collection. After watching the mini movie (Back Cover), I came up with a theory. I don't play Unchained, but I keep up with the story. After watching the mini movie, I have a theory that there is no traitor in the group. I think it's the Master messing with everyone so they all fight amongst themselves. I think the Master is the real traitor, if anything. I also think he planted that "nightmare" so everyone would start to suspect one another and fight - which eventually happens. If this is obvious, I'm sorry for being slow on it. I don't play the game, so all of this is pretty new to me. I'm also concerned with who Luxu is. I'm also intrigued with what's in the box he has. I'm going to guess it's Xehanort's heart. Does that make sense? Is the Master, Xehanort? Or is Luxu, Xehanort? Or are they completely separate people? What are your thoughts on who their identity is? On a completely different note: Was anyone else excited when they heard Noctic's voice (from FFXV) in Back Cover?! Ray Chase, who voices Noctis, voices the Master in Back Cover! I was really excited about this lol. Anyway, I would like to hear your theories, opinions, etc on this topic. It's getting me even more excited for KHIII!
  17. So today I received my copy of 2.8. After i finished 0.2, I immediately started watching X Back Cover. I was pretty excited about it because I really didn't understand the whole story of X. This was because I didn't follow the X website game and Unchained X didn't make it easier to understand it. After I saw the credit roll, I was like. What !? This is it? I still don't know anything? Who is the Traitor? Why does Master of Master has te same Keyblade as Xehanort (And later passing it on to Luxu). I still have the same questions after watching it.

    FFXV Spoiler Policy Discussion.

Hey everyone! After taking it into consideration-we've decided to implement a spoiler policy on the site for FF15. There have been huge leaks going around regarding the ending and various other things about the game. We know that many of you have been waiting for the game since 2006 and we don't want anyone's experience to be ruined by accident or on purpose. All FF15 related content whether it be story or gameplay related will now go into 1 single discussion thread. This includes news. As staff, we also want your input. How long would you like the policy to be? Inside the thread itself-you may talk about the game using spoiler tags for certain things. How do you think the policy should work? I personally recommend that when you post your thoughts about your experience with the game-you state the chapter you are on, followed by your thoughts in a spoiler tag. A spoiler is considered anything that you didn't know until a) coming across a spoiler on the internet. and or b) playing the game yourself. Let us know your thoughts and vote for the length of the policy. It shall be implemented as soon as possible. Thank you!

  22. Hey guys! So, I’ve been wanting to do a review like this for a while now, and I decided that now would be a good time, for whatever reason. Hope you guys like it! Also, there will be NO MAJOR SPOILERS for the anime nor the manga of One Piece. The only things that will be spoiled are the names of certain locations and characters. No major plot points will be brought up. Overview: One Piece Pirate Warriors 3, released in August 2015 in North America and Europe for PS3, PS4, PSVita & Windows PCs, is an action game published by Namco Bandai and developed by Omega Force. It is, clearly, the third in the Pirate Warriors series, which is a series of One Piece games made in the same way games like Dynasty Warriors and Hyrule Warriors are. Now, Warriors games in of themselves are very subjective. Several people love them, and several people hate them. It really is just a case of, “Will you get bored with this in 15 minutes?”. With that being said, let’s get on with the show! Presentation: Pirate Warriors 3 looks very good. The environments have nice and fun details to them, and all the visual effects for the characters’ attacks are fun to look at, too. The character models themselves are just alright for the PS4, but considering they look pretty much identical to the PS3 version, it’s not that big of a deal. And of course, the number of enemies that can be on screen is truly amazing. There can be hundreds of enemies on-screen at once without any slow-down. Though this number of enemies really is only limited to the PS4 version, as the PS3, Vita, & strangely even the PC versions cannot have that many enemies on-screen at once. This is really the only reason to get either the PS4 version over any of the others if you can. The voice acting is, sadly, completely Japanese. There’s no way to change the voices to English. Which is a shame, because the voice acting in the English dub of the One Piece anime is great, and having all the voice actors come back for their roles would be great. However, in the end, it’s not that big of a deal. Story: The story is...well, pretty much how it’s followed in the anime/manga. Though for anybody curious, without any major spoilers, here’s a basic run-down: Monkey D. Luffy, a young man with a straw hat that can stretch his body out to insane lengths, journeys out to sea so he can find the One Piece and become the king of the pirates. Along the way, he meets several characters that join him in his crew, including Zoro, Nami, Usopp, and Sanji. Together, they adventure through the East Blue, the Grand Line, and the New World, helping others along the way and defeating powerful foes, both other pirates and Government officials included. That’s a basic summary of the plot. If it sounds interesting to you, I recommend that you check out the anime or manga. The game itself only follows the most important parts of the story, and you’d get a much better experience of the story with either of those. With that being said, there is one part of the story, the final chapter specifically, that is considered non-canon to the actual story of One Piece. Gameplay: This is the biggest, and best, part of Pirate Warriors 3. Gameplay in this game has you mowing down thousands of enemies per stage, pressing buttons to perform ridiculous combos that give you a great sense of power. And of course, each character is unique in play style. As you play as a character, you can level him/her up, and use coins to upgrade your character. The game also has several modes for you to play through. Legend Log is the basic story mode. You play through important locales throughout the series on a stage-by-stage basis. Doing certain things within these stages, such as getting an S rank on them or doing in-stage missions, will get you coins that you can use to upgrade your characters’ stats, or unlock new costumes/special moves. Also, naturally playing through all of Legend Log unlocks most of the characters in the game, as well as several costumes. Free Log lets you play through any stage in Legend Log with any character and any costume. Most of the same things in Legend Log apply here, except you may need to play some stages in Free Log to unlock some things, like costumes. Dream Log is one of the more unique modes in the game. This mode has you walking from island to island on a world map. Each island is a new stage for you to play through, and several islands have powerful foes for you to fight against. The first time you play through it, each powerful foe that you defeat adds him to your roster of playable characters. And of course, awaiting at the end of it all is Red-Haired Shanks himself! Nightmare Log is the same thing as Dream Log, except all of the islands you go to are Level 100; 50 levels above your typical maximum. You need to unlock certain coins to make it so that your characters can break the level 50 level cap. And even then, good luck trying to beat all the islands. Nightmare Log is a huge challenge, and you’ll be lucky to die only a dozen handfuls of times. With all of that out of the way, I do have a couple of problems with the gameplay. First, the camera can be bad at times, though this isn’t too often. Second, and this really is just a small and personal bias, I feel like several characters that should have been playable in the game just weren’t. Hody, Arlong, and Kuro just to name a few. Though neither of those are massive problems. Rating: One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 is a fantastic game, not just for One Piece fans but also for fans of either high-action games or the Warriors games. While it does have a few minor problems, the game is still amazing. I give Pirate Warriors 3 a rating of… 9/10!
