The end has finally come. Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] has now ceased all online gameplay and services worldwide. The title will be back up in English, but only via offline mode functionality. Players will be able to customize their avatars with various cosmetics, but no other gameplay features such as combat will be retained in this upcoming version of the app. The theater mode will also be present in the offline version of the app, where players will be able to view all of the cutscenes throughout the game including all of the lore-centric Daybreak Town scenes. Kingdom Hearts Dark Road is stated to be arriving back at the end of September 2021, containing the rest of the story it was intended to tell. The Japanese version of Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] shut down earlier this month, on June 16, 2021.

The North American PR Twitter account for Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] has tweeted that the first update of the two-part finale will be going live for the global version tonight at midnight PT. (3:00 AM EDT) This is exceedingly odd, seeing that the Japanese PR Twitter account for Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] has stated that their update will be available on April 30th. There is always a chance that either or both accounts could have accidentally posted erroneous information. Still, we will be finding out if this statement from the global account is true later tonight. UPDATE: (04/29/2021) The announcement tweet from the English PR account seems to have been posted a day early. The story update should be tomorrow (April 30th) at 15:00 JT for Japan and at midnight PT for Global!. UPDATE (04/30/2021): Quest 978 "What Comes After" has been updated on both JP and Global! The quest only contains story cutscenes and doesn't have a mission attracted to it. The quest is also available on Proud Mode.

The tweet states that the Sugar Rush scenario will finally be completed! Let me say that this theory has been discussed here before, but I would like to expand and supplement it.For starters ,we all know that Dark Road and Union cross are connected, if only by the fact that DR is formally launched through Union cross. However, it also seems to me an interesting detail is that in the profile of Xehanort in DR, the nickname "Player" is still marked, tell me why all of a sudden ?After all, in DR, we control a famous character. But what if it was intentional ? What if there is a connection between the" Player " and Xehanort ? As you know ,Ventus, Lauriam, Skuld (Apparently), Alrena and Ephemer (Apparently) went to the future. But what if this also applies to the "Player"? What if the "Player" just also lost his memory and was thrown out on Destiny Island ? At least in the DR itself, Xehanort has the memories of a "Player". And here I also remember another theory voiced earlier ,that the whole world of "Kingdom hearts "is actually an artificial reality created by someone (Probably MoM ) and in fact that the world of" Verum Rex", that the world of" Kingdom hearts "is two video games of"unreality".And if you go back to the UX ,it also seems strange to me that the "Player" essentially just "wakes up" in "Daybreak town" we don't know his backstory, he just happens to be in this place. And as noted earlier, it is suspicious that all the "Players" in KH UX are children. And then I came up with a crazy theory. If the whole world of Kingdom hearts ,and in particular UX, is a kind of "video game", what if the "Player" is something like artificial intelligence ?Which is also the same as any "Avatar" can be customized and have any gender, skin color and hair. This explains why in Xehanort's flashbacks, if this theory is to be believed, the "Player" looks different from Xehanort ,he just reconfigured into the version of the character we know. And it will be funny how many people are waiting for the debut of the "Player", but in fact this is a character with whom we have long been familiar and is the main villain of the series. What if all the characters of KH are essentially these same players who just during this time were able to become individuals in contrast to the UX versions that were almost complete copies of each other. In the KH universe, everyone has hearts, and in addition, if you resort to the rules of the RPG, usually there are characters with increasing levels, becoming larger and stronger. I think this rule can be attributed to the inhabitants of "Kingdom hearts".And maybe there isn't even any real time travel ,and the heroes just got thrown out ,somehow, to later levels.I think this also applies to the Book of Prophecies ,which can be a kind of a kind of "Hard Disk" in which the entire plot of the story is recorded in advance. Also, I just got a theory about "Virus". If the KH universe is a kind of "artificial world", then there must be a real world. And maybe "Virus" is the one who somehow managed to get from the real world to the world of "Kingdom hearts"?

Brand new information on Kingdom Hearts Dark Road that was promised back during its announcement has finally been revealed! There are several details regarding how Dark Road plays as well as other notable aspects. The battle system consists of cards instead of medals, and you seem to play as both young Eraqus and young Xehanort. The combat is said to be reliant on your reflexes too. Depending on the level of completion for the medal album in Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross], players can obtain points to trade in for battle cards! This event is called the KHUX & KHDR Link Campaign. Basically, this campaign for the album to point conversion will only occur once for the release of Kingdom Hearts Dark Road, and any album progress made in Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] after this campaign's end will not contribute towards any points. Lastly, this game is launched from within the Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] app, and is launched from the title screen! However, Kingdom Hearts Dark Road does not require progress in Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] in order to be played. Take a look at our gallery for screenshots of this upcoming title! Are you excited for Kingdom Hearts Dark Road due to this plethora of new information! Let us know how you feel about it in the comments below! View full article

[This is the first half of the Union cross reviews (I am calling this unchained because it was once called unchained). This will display each perspective in a way. This review focuses more on gameplay and some story with my character. The other being mostly story in general in the perspective of some characters. Luckily, there isn't many heavy spoilers. ] - - - - - - - - - - - - In the same universe, we shift to another form of perspective. We follow the player (AKA You and me, the audience). We travel to different worlds to gather lux and uncover some truths of our role and the choice we make that effects our lives forever. That's as far as I could go to avoid spoilers -- We focus on gameplay for this review. This is probably the least favorite game in terms of gameplay. This is a personification of repetitive for many who are salty about this title. Like how I feel about the DS titles, I understand why people didn't want to play the game. However, the major draw was the events that occurred in this title (aka story). That will be explained in the next review. You play as....however you want to look at it: yourself or your OC [ROFL] They are simply called "the player". You may call it your OC or yourself, but it is it's own person. I think it would've been cool if they let player have their choices. But I understand why they went to where they did because there is a a major event that was important lore of the series. The only choice you decide that slightly effects the story is your choice in joining one of the five unions: Vulpes, Leopardus, Ursus, Unicornis, and Anguis. Continuing on gameplay, it is a gacha game. In other words, in details as such: you pay to win. People complain about the repetitive gameplay, but the fact you pay to win is the final straw for many. In combat, it is turned based in support of medals inserted in slots for your keyblades. You get creative with certain medals with abilities and attacks and placement with magic, speed, and/or power that align with light and darkness (upright and reverse). Making your medals stronger in the process the only way for you to progress missions and leveling up your character. So whenever they introduce a new medal, you either have to raise some jewels in game for awhile and/or pay for the amount of jewels you want. So, the biggest issue this game suffers in terms of keeping people in is the gamble of getting the medals they advertise (that itself explains what I mean by pay to win). Then there is the story updates. This was a struggle simply because not only do we have to wait monthly, but we are behind from Japan If you do not want to play the game itself and waiting for the updates, I highly recommend you seek out the updates on Japan's version. The community does a really good job keeping an eye out for updates from Japan's updates (translations and all). The fact they have it way ahead of us is a reasonable reason to not play the game. However, I enjoy waking up every morning to grab me some daily login jewels and do my daily missions. I feel like it will be sad to see it gone when the time comes for it's end, whenever that may be. I joined this game because I enjoy seeing myself being part of the lore (the self insert excuse, I know, go ahead and cringe LOL). I've been with it since the it's release in the U.S., about 2-3 years. Thsee myself progress since the beginning is almost wild. I even chose my Union from, dare I say, what my heart told me...seriously no joke. I am not someone who is not number one in the ranks. But I enjoy some missions and the story updates. In case you ask, I am in the Union Vulpes. I am proud to be in this Union for as long as I have. I look forward to where this leads. [ARTIST NOTE] So, yes, this is yours truly. I was gonna make the outfit somewhat similar to the universe....but I change outfits once in awhile so I do not have a full on particular outfit that works for me solely in the game. If they have an outfit similar to this, then this is as close as I'll get. LOL I actually almost considered doing two for the default designs of the player character. However, I felt that would be more work. So I just added myself...at least for this project. If I had a chance to sells books of my project, then doing the default designs sounded reasonable to do LOL As you know, this is an exact background as my previous piece. However, in terms of the contrast, you can definitely notice that this is more saturated than the last one which I made it more soft and foggy. I simply made it like because they both have different contracts and whole shabang. Of course, since I am in this timeline, I added Chirithy and the Starlight Keyblade. Not much else to say honestly I also wasn't originally going to add this to the collection. But if I made my own book of titles in the Kingdom Hearts series, I might as well lay my own bit to it. That and the player character happens to somewhat have SOME importance. (This is the second half of the Union Cross title that is mostly story based) (THIS IS A HEADS UP: THIS STORY IS NOT FINISHED! ALL I KNOW IS THAT THERE ARE A COUPLE OF CHARACTERS THAT ARE, IN A WAY, RELEVANT TO THE OVERALL PLOT. THE THOUGHTS I HAVE AT THE MOMENT ARE ONLY WHAT WAS AVAILABLE AT THE TIME. SO PLEASE KEEP THAT IN MIND AND TAKE THIS AS A GRAIN OF SALT.) (I WILL NOT SPOIL THE MAJOR STORY ELEMENTS....except for one. I want to point out a personal feeling of a missed opportunity in one of the recent updates while applying my thoughts on Nomura's way of thinking) (Lastly, I don't what else to title this aside form calling it Union Cross LOL So, I guess you can thank Linkin Park for that LOL) --- We go to the next chapter of this timeline. We follow a new group of leaders (The Leader of the Dandelions) after the tragic event that occurred. They try to find ways to prevent their own unions from remembering the event while trying to keep the darkness at bay. --- This is probably going to be the hardest to describe the story, as mentioned, because it is not finished (I don't know how long it'll take for them to actually finish the game's story). All I could do is just express how I feel what I have so far. Because it is a more current story, I felt like I would end up being more surprised whenever there's a new update. The major draw for this title's story was the fact this takes place about 100 years before the events of birth by sleep. This timeline held an important event that became the seed to drive someone to motivation later in the series. What was surprising, however, was the fact that each update we had made one thing clear: it is becoming canon to the lore of the series. If you scream out saying, "why are they adding canon story elements to a mobile game?", then you are right to ask that. Because they try to make it connect to the overall plot of the series, it leaves everyone [who has not caught on to the story] really confused. I cannot say as such on whether or not this will directly connect to KH3 (because KH3 is not out yet nor is this story finish will not be finished by the time KH3 releases). I highly recommend you all to at least check out the plot of this title yourselves before you play KH3, just in case (since we learned there were a couple of characters that are actually important in the series). ((((That being said, I want to address my thoughts on this particular update. I will not say the names of the characters, but I will talk about my thoughts on this update as of is post. So, we are introduced to a couple of certain characters (a guy and a girl). Via rough translations, the guy was looking for his sibling or her sister. Because of the strange translations, we couldn't point whose sister they speak of. This leaves a lot of people speculating and concluding who they feel is the right translation. Turns out, on the next update, it was confirmed to be the guy's sibling. I want to mention that this guy and the girl are actually important characters and I know those characters. I wanted to know more about them and I am getting it. However, I feel is update was a missed opportunity and an example of how Nomura writes his story in Kingdom Hearts. I personally wanted the girl to have s sibling because of her character later n the series and the motivation behind it would've made sense. However, I feel like they had the guy having the sibling because I feel it is a way for Nomura to do everything in his power to make sure it is unpredictable, to which the series is known for. While I do enjoy the unknown future of the story and not know what happens next, I feel that would've been a better motivation for that girl then the guy. Of course, because it is unpredictable, maybe Nomura had something up his sleeve. I actually look forward to it!)))) I really don't have much else to say....simply because, again, this story is not finished. How I feel on what we have so far is honestly interesting. I like seeing what my character had to go through. Kinda seeing myself through these situations at the time is really awesome to see (then again, I am bit bias LOL) [ARTIST NOTES] This was, by the far, the hardest to come up with a concept. As mentioned many time, the story was not finished. So, it was hard to decide the background when it is not the full product. I originally was gonna draw based on KH3. However, due to where it is set, I had to stick with it. I know it is the same background 3 times in a row. The color palettes for the background and atmosphere I try my best to make as different as I can. (I got one more game to cover as of this post! We are getting really close! PLEASE STAY TUNED!!) You can check the work I've through this link in my deviantART: https://www.deviantart.com/mns-prime-21/gallery/67100545/Kingdom-Hearts-III-Countdown

Hey y'all how's it going. The reason why I'm created this discussion is because I was wondering if there's anybody looking to join a team? If you are than you can join my team call "Black Panther." So far I only have one member in my party but I don't know it will last. Anyway, if there's anybody who feels lonely or needs help to form a party and go on missions to get new 100x jewels or hasn't gotten any new members yet than you can join my team. Everyone is welcome to join my party. Whether you're higher level or a lower level it doesn't matter because we can all help each other to go on Union Cross missions together and help each other to get new 30x or 100x jewels. Heck if you want you can just join my team so you won't feel lonely. I'm totally okay having members who don't want to feel left out, especially new players who just started playing Union x. My party may not be special but I'm open to have anyone on my team. If you join my party we can talk about a lot of stuffs like movies, TV series, novels, manga, anime, video games, and of course Kingdom Hearts! So if there's any old or new players looking to join a team feel free you join my party. My team is call Black Panther and I'm from the Vulpeus Union. My Avatar's name is Bronz. If you guys have any questions please reply or message me okay. Peace!

I couldn't find another post about this so I hope I'm not repeating a topic already discussed. And I hope I'm not stating something that was really obvious to everyone else. Also if you are not up to date on the Union Cross NA storyline then look away now to avoid spoilers. I was going through a list of all currently known Keyblade Masters in my head the other day (as you do) when I suddenly realised something that I'd never thought about before. Ventus is a Keyblade Master! Probably, anyway. How is he a Keyblade Master, do you ask? Because in Union Cross he appears as one of the new Union Leaders chosen by the Master of Masters to replace the Foretellers (who are also Keyblade Masters) after they meet their end in the Keyblade War. And when Master Ava first tells Ephemer that he has been chosen to replace her as another one of the new Union Leaders he indicates that this also means he has been made a Master. Therefore if Ephemer has become a Master then we can assume that the other new Union Leaders are also Masters, including Ven. So if Ven is a Keyblade Master then that means - assuming he is one and the same as Ven in Birth By Sleep where he appears slightly older - that the whole time he was training with Aqua and Terra and sharing their dream of becoming Keyblade Masters, he was already a Keyblade Master but just didn't know it. I think this is a pretty interesting realisation when you consider that he is not only younger than Terra and Aqua by a few years (in appearance anyway as we don't actually know how old he is) but he is also weaker than them. It also means that Terra is the only one of the three to have not yet obtained the title of Master despite appearing to be the oldest. That would make him really depressed if he found out! On a slightly different note, why do you think Ven was chosen by the Master of Masters for this role? He says so himself that he's not particularly good at anything and never in the top ranks. He doesn't really seem to be a natural leader either. My guess is that he was chosen for his strong resistance to darkness. Though I also wonder if it's because the Master of Masters knew what lay in his future? Please share your thoughts!
