The Dark World (otherwise known as The Realm of Darkness) is a realm made up entirely from the darkness in people's hearts. It is crawling with heartless and takes a heavy toll on any person trapped within it for too long. It was first playable in the secret ending of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix. It has been a staple of the series since the beginning, and will appear in Kingdom Hearts III.
