The Kingdom Hearts Keyblade pins will be exclusively available for purchase at both Disney Land and Walt Disney World parks in 2026. The pins will be released on a monthly basis, with 12 in total. There will be 1 pin releasing on a Tuesday each month of the year. 

The first 6 pins were revealed at the Disney 25 Years of Pin Trading event today. It is not yet known when the later 6 pins in the set will be revealed. You can view the pins on a display at the event in our gallery below.

Well I made them bloom, in both versions, but nothing. Is there some secret to it? Like a certain combination of spells or something? Or is Square just trolling us?

Many games are shown from God of War and Uncharted to Batman: Arkham Knight and Sly Cooper, but one video game series has been part of the PlayStation since the early 2000's: Kingdom Hearts. The shot from the intro of Kingdom Hearts III with Sora and the others facing off against Master Xehanort was shown in the video with the tagline "It's about Connection", symbolizing the connections that the PlayStation has with its fans similiar to Sora's connections in the series.

Shoulder Multi-Purpose Pouch

The pouches are colored black on the exterior with different logos for each character (crown for Sora, x for Riku, Wayfinder for Kairi, etx.). They can hold essential items such as Smartphones or cards for on the go. Each pouch also has a inner lining within the zipper pocket that is unique to each trio.

Sora, Riku and Kairi have Kairi's Good luck charm, the message in the bottle, the raft, and the door in the secret location.

Roxas, Axel and Xion have Twilight Town complete with the Clock Tower, the Old Mansion, sea-salt ice cream, and sea shells. 

Stole & Charms

The stole (light scarf) has a checkered pattern detailed with a motif that include items like the Keyblades (Sora, Riku, Roxas, and Xion), Axel's Chakrams, and Kairi's necklace. The motif is styled like the Stained Glass for many of the characters in the Dive to the Heart.

Sneakers

The sneakers, while comfortable, are detailed with motifs from the series like the hearts and Sora's crown. The heel has the heart on it.

The tongue on the shoe is red with the crown, Heartless Emblem, and the Wayfinder for Sora, Riku, and Kairi.

Roxas, Axel, and Xion's version is silver with Roxas' pattern and emblem along with XIII and sea-salt ice cream bars. 

The insoles are breathtaking as they are detailed with the Station of Awakening. Each step with send you down the path your heart commands, including the doves.

Orders for the items have begun on SuperGroupies JPN site and will be open until November 5th. Shipping will start in late April 2025. The pouch will cost ¥13,200 (about $89.00), the stole with cost ¥14,300 (about $96.00) and the sneakers will cost ¥15,400 (about $103.00). - "Many of your works have complex settings, but how do you manage to bring them all together for when you have to record the voice lines?"

Nomura: Honestly, I don't think they understand everything either on the day of recording. When the staff other than myself explain the settings and characters to the voice actors during recording, they sometimes ask me to confirm if it’s okay to do it like that, and there are times when I have to say “no, it's not okay” (laughs).

But there's no way around it, because I'm the only one who understands the parts of the characters that haven't been drawn, so I'm the only one who can think about the complex story in all the different directions it could go. On the other hand, I also actively encourage the staff to question and point things out to me.

- "Is there something like a setting reference book?"

Nomura: I have some things that I personally write down to remember. Including periods that are not depicted, I write down the footsteps of important people and future developments.

- "So you don't share that information?"

Nomura: Of course not, I keep that to myself. (laughs). However, I do make sure that the staff know what they need to know by writing setting explanations all at once in the middle of the scenario.

- "In the Kingdom Hearts series, there are many foreshadowing elements that span the series, so how do you keep track of those?"

Nomura: As I’ve mentioned previously, I write a lot in my notes, but I also make sure the staff remember, and I like watching videos, so I watch playthrough videos and reviews on YouTube. Basically, rather than looking back at my notes, I make sure the staff remembers what happened in past titles.*

(*Translator note: The way he phrases this almost sounds like he quizzes the staff on what happened, but that’s just how I read it, haha.)

- "This year, Kingdom Hearts Missing Link is also scheduled for release on mobile devices. Do you have any concerns that by developing important stories for apps and portable game consoles, you will end up with more players who can't keep up with the story?"

Nomura: Honestly, I do. (laughs) That's why we're developing a story that takes place in a time frame that's much earlier than the Kingdom Hearts timeline on consoles. However, as people say, “The newly announced Kingdom Hearts IV is really more like Kingdom Hearts XIII**”, as there are natural connections, even with non-numbered titles, and I think that will allow people to enjoy the series even more deeply.

(**Translator note: I presume he means that Kingdom Hearts IV is the 13th game in the series, counting spin-off titles such as 358/2 Days, Re:Coded, etc.)

However, this time, both Kingdom Hearts Missing Link and Kingdom Hearts IV have been created with a stronger focus on being new titles rather than sequels. For example, as a new experiment, we have had staff who have not been involved in the Kingdom Hearts series before participate in writing the scenario. Of course, I will be editing it in the end, but I don't think it will be positioned as a work that needs to be done in the sense that the writer who has never been involved in the 'Kingdom Hearts' series is creating a new base.

After all, Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link is better described as a blank history***, so it is also based on the premise that there are things missing. If you know about it, you can enjoy it more deeply.

(***Translator note : The word used here is 空白の歴史 (kuuhaku no rekishi), which literally means “blank history, interregnum, or blank period”...not sure which one fits here.)

- "Just as it is difficult to catch up with a long-running manga series from the very first title, the Kingdom Hearts series has so many titles that it seems to have the same problem. What are your thoughts in regards to new fans that might try playing these series?"

Nomura: That’s what I'd like to know (laughs). As I mentioned earlier, I'm thinking of Missing Link and Kingdom Hearts IV as a kind of reset. I felt like I'd finished with Kingdom Hearts III and wanted to start again, so I've brought in new writers and even changed the logo to make it easier for new people to get involved.

- "Ah, so that's what the change of logo was about."

Nomura: If you remember how the ending of Kingdom Hearts III goes, you'll understand that Sora ends up like that because he's “resetting” the story in a way, so Kingdom Hearts IV should be easier to get into than before. I think that if you like the series, you'll feel like 'this is it', but I'm also hoping that as many new players as possible will play it.

- "At the beginning of Kingdom Hearts, there is a monologue that goes: "I've been having these weird thoughts lately. Like...is any of this real, or not?" What does that mean?"

Nomura: The name “Quadratum” didn't exist at that time, but the idea was there. It was a long preparation for the day when I would reach this point (laughs).

-" So it was actually a foreshadowing that took 20 years!? Then, do you see a future where the Kingdom Hearts series will be completed?"

Nomura: If this isn't a dream, then I only have a few years left until I retire, and it's looking like: will I retire or will I finish the series first? (laughs) However, I'm making Kingdom Hearts IV with the intention of it being a story that leads to the conclusion.

so the first thing that i noticed about both series that were similar were the characters Griffith and Riku.

now it is true that both characters look alike with their white hair a blue eyes but its not because of this that i noticed the similarity between these two characters if it was i would have noticed it right away. aside from their looks both are literally the same person. both are the leaders and highly respected amongst their peers. they both are highly ambitions and have a dream that inspires their friends to help them achieve it. 

Griffith's dream is to acquire his own kingdom despite the fact that he is of common birth he dreams of becoming apart of the world of nobility and escaping the world of the commoners however in order to do that griffith needs a vessel much like riku 

riku's dream is to escape the tiny island he was born on an reach other worlds beyond his horizon so in order to do this riku contructs a raft which he names "highwind" with the help of his friends upon which he will sail upon the seas to achieve his dream of reaching a new world. 

Griffith's vessel is much different however. being of common birth the only way Griffith can accomplish his dream of becoming a king he must work his way up from the bottom and so he creates a mercenary band which he names "the band of the hawk" the band of the hawk if the vessel that Griffith must use to reach his dream of having his own kingdom. through his many battles and victories the many bodies of his enemies and comrades pave the way to his kingdom with griffith being told to pile more bodies to walk on to reach his dream. 

an eclipse in both series opens the door to darkness and unleashes dark creatures upon the world called "heartless" and "apostles" respectively both creatures are born of humans who have "fallen to the darkness" so to speak 

next is kairi and casca. they also look very similar to one another and have a similar haircut as well but apart from this their character arcs are almost identical. on the night of the eclipse both characters lose apart of themselves due to the trauma of that night. Casca loses her mind and kairi loses her heart both characters become a shell of their former selves and the hero of both series goes on a quest to restore them to their former selves
