The school bell rang and all the students didn't waste anytime in gathering up their things and heading for their ride home. In math class, two best friends may their way to the bus. "Even on Friday, Mr.Kiore still insists on giving us homework and ruining our weekend," Abby replied to Alex. "I know," Axel agreed. "It isn't fair." Abby smiled. After getting on the bus, Abbey sat in the first seat and Alex sat behind her and they continued to talk until it was time to get off. Stepping off the bus, the two friends walked down the road, only to pass the same house that had been abandoned for years. Someone then ran up behind them and said, "Hey you pass that same house everyday and don't bother to go take a look at what's inside it?" It was Ronnie, a person that was always the smartass in school. Abby gave a dirty look. "Why would we want to do that," she replied. "It's just an old house." "Aww are you scared," Ronnie asked sarcastically. "Hey, leave her alone," Alex replied, defending Abby. "What's the matter," Ronnie retored. "Hmm, I bet you can't even last a night in that house." "And why is that?" Alex replied. "The house is haunted, oooh," Ronnie replied creeping up to them. "Haha," Abby answered. "Very funny." "Those are the rumors," Ronnie answered laughing. "So what, thery're just rumors," Abby answered. "Well then I guess you two wouldn't mind staying in that house for an entire night," Ronnie dared. "No, we wouldn't," Alex replied as Ronnie turned the corner.

Later the afternoon Alex lay down on his bed and rang Abby. She was on her room packing. Alex asked if she was scared. "No, what about you?" Abby answerd. "No, i'm never scared." Alex said. Abby was laughing "oh realy" She said. "yeah, i mean it!" yelled Alex. "sure" She said sarcastic. Alex was going to pack to tonight. Later when the sun went down, the full moon appeared. The two friends meet with the scary house. "Are you ready?" Alex asked. "Yes, let's go." answerd Abby. They went to the big door open, opened it and entered.

The first thing they noticed was that creepy floorboards, creaking indefinately beneath their feet. "Are you scared now?" Abby replied to Alex. "Nope still not scared," Alex replied stubbornly but there was not reply. "Abby?" Alex called. "...Abby?" But Abby was no where in sight. Alex began to panic, thinking of what could've happen to his friend in such a short period of time. He began to walk only to bump into a figure in a white sheet. "Ahh," Alex shouted as he jumped back. "Hahahaha," the white sheeted figure replied. Then the figure took off the sheet. "I thought you weren't scared," Abby replied as she revealed herself from beneath the sheet. "I wasn't," Alex replied hastily. "Hmm-mmm," Abby answered. Then the two friends looked around the house as it finally started sinking in that they were going to be in the house for the entire night.

When they looked around Alex stumbled across a book. "My diary?" he said. "What you got there?" said Abby curiously. "Someone's diary," Alex reply. "What is written in it?" Abby wondered. "See for yourself, i'm going to see what's in that rom want to come?" asked Alex. "Just go ahead, i'm waiting here" said abby while she was reading. "Ok, i'll be back soon" Alex said nervously. The room was full of creepy paintings of a old man and a young girl. Alex ran back to Abby, but she was gone. "Abby?" he said worried. Alex went up the stairs it was an open door, in the room she sat on a chair reading. "There you are!" said Alex relieved. "It was difficult to read in the dark this room is brighter" said Abby. Alex was tired so he took out his sleeping bag and relaxed. Abby took her out to and they fell asleep. They are abruptly woken up by the sound of chaotic screams and after they come to the realization that they are not alone, they immediately head for the door.

But when they tried to get out of the door they realized that the door was locked. "B-but it was unlocked a second ago," Alex replied. "What is going on?" Abby asked as both friends started to get worried. "We'll have to go out the window," Alex suggested. The two friends went up to the window and noticed that they were barred. "H-how could that happen," Abby asked frightened. "They weren't like before on the outstide when we first came in," Alex added. Then a very cold blustry breeze arose all through the house and that's when they two friends noticed that someone or something was standing at the top of the flight of stairs.

Alex panicked "We're going to die," he shouted. "Pull yourself together, I thought you were not afraid," said Abby. "If I knew this would happen I would have never agreed to be here it's my fault we are trapped here," said Alex sad. Abby struck him in the face. "Stop it, you can blame Yourself later but now we have to get out," she said angrily. Suddenly they heard some strange noises coming from behind the door. "D-did you hear that?" said Alex afraid. "Yes, but what was it?" said Abby. Then the door opened up and someone came in. There was a young girl you could not see her face because she wore a scary mask and clothes were old and worn out. "You should not have come here" whispered the girl. "W-what?" said Abby. "You should not have come here" she screamed. There was a strong wind from the girl and then the house began to shake.

The house shook so hard the Alex and Abby almost fell to the floor. The tried to find where that girl had gone off too but she was nowhere in sight. All of a sudden an odor surrounded the atmosphere. It was the smell of old perfume. The two friends ran upstairs and ran into one of the many rooms. Shutting and locking the door behind them, the realized that they were in a bedroom. A little girl's bedroom. The shaking of the house ceased. "You should not have come here," they heard a familiar voice and then they saw the little girl come out from beneath the shadows. Abby noticed that there was a big window in the room and even though there was a big chance that this window would be barred up like the rest of the ones downstairs, she decided to give it a try. She pushed back the old;rugged curtain and sure enough the window was sealed tight. Abby turned to the girl. "How are we supposed to get out," she asked. "The house is alive," the girl replied. "And it wants to challenge you." "What do you mean?" Alex replied. "There will be five tasks," the girl explained. "If you can get passed these tasks, the house will let you go and set you free." "And if we don't pass the challenge," Alex asked. "Then you'll become a part of the house...for all eternity." Then the girl fanished into thin air and the house started shaking again. It seemed like the first challenge had begun.

Suddenly a door appears "Enter this door, "said the girl. "I'm not so sure about this," said Alex nervous. "We have no choice," said Abby also nervous. They Went inside. Inside was a book and a sword lying on a table. The girl showed up again. "Choose one of these things you can use in the the challanges choose carefully and remember one of these things can save you," she said and vanished. "Let's choose the book," said Abby. "Wait Abby we must choose carefully" said Alex worried. one it was too late she had taken the book. The house began to shake again and the floor cracked. "What is going on?" said Alex scared. "You chose the book, but remember this was only the first challenge." said a voice. "Why did you choose the book" shouted Alex. "Maybe it could be useful," said Abby. Then the floor collapsed, perhaps the challange have begun.

As they were falling, Abby opened the book. There were spells written in it but in a language that neither of them could comprehend. Then their fall was ended by them landing in a room. A different room. "What did we need the book for," Alex answered. "You should've chose the sword!" "Well I wanted to choose one that didn't seem obvious," Abby argued. "Maybe that was the whole point." Then all of a sudden the door opened and the two friends heard breathing inside.

The room was very dark. "I can not see anything," said Alex. There was someone or something that breathed. "Was that you Alex?" asked Abby. "N-no," said Alex scared. Suddenly the room was illuminated by a torch and it was someone in a brown coat, you could not see his face because he had a hood on. "I will show you the answer if you defeat me" said the mysterious man. "How can we defeat you?" asked Alex. "You have already choose the weapon" he replied. "But we do not understand the language," said Abby. "It will tell you soon enough" he said. "Hey what about me I need a weapon" Alex complained. The man threw a sword made of wood. "Is that all you have to offer?" shouted Alex. The mysterious man Tokke out two swords of darkness. The first challenge had begun.

Both of the swords eminated a dark fire ball and was blasted at Alex. Ducking, Alex put the sword in front of him in hopes that it would clash the fire but instead it broke his wooden sword. Alex ran behind Abby. "Now what do we do," Alex shouted over the noise. "I don't know, I don't know," Abby answered as both of them moved over to the side so they wouldn't get hit with another fire ball. They both fell to the ground. "Just read something out of the book!" cried Alex. "But I can't understand the language," replied Abby. "Just try your best before we're dead," Alex answered. They jerked out of the way again to avoid the third fire ball that was thrown at them. "Uh-ok," Abby answered flipping frantically through the pages. "Uh-tre-tre," Abby began but it was hard to pronounce such hard words. "Trem

The room there was an altar and some ancient symbols on the walls. "What is this?" asked Alex. "It looks like a new challenge," said Abby. "But what is it?" asked Alex. Then came a sinister shadow forth from the altar. "Here is a challenge of wisdom if you can do it I can give you something that maybe can help a little and remember when this hourglass is out of sand this room will be full of sand," said the shadow. "B-but we don't know what to do," said Alex scared. "You see these four ancient symbols on the walls, they represent the four elements," said the shadow. "Fire, water, wind and earth?" asked Alex. "Correctly you must use the altar to summon a creature of each, but do be careful what you call for will go against you," said the shadow. "But what then?" asked Abby. "You will know what to do," he replied and disappeared.

Immediately, the hour glass turned over and time began to run out. The two friends turned towards the symbols. Abby went up to the first symbol.Fire. Just then the spell book flipped open to a page that had only 1 english sentence. "Spells to summon the elements," it stated. "See, I told you we should've picked this weapon," Abby retorted. "Well, I didn't know," Alex argued. But the spells were still in a different language. However, Abby tried to read it the best way she could. Stepping up to the shrine, Abby read the words out of the book. Just then a beast with a flaming body appeared. But immediately went after them both.

The creature was like a big fire wolf. They ran and hide behind the altar. "Use a little magic on it!" shouted Alex. Abby came there and used the great orb of light, but it just became bigger. "It did nothing!" cried Abby. "Use something else," said Alex. Then ran the great creation by Alex. "Now! come on," he shouted as he ran. Abby tried as hard as she could to read the words. "Shobu watna pno-pnosea," she said. Suddenly there came a large water tornado out of the book. "Point the book on the monster!" shouted Alex. Abby pointed to the book on the monster and it went straight into the wall and fainted. "I'm glad it's over," said Abby relieved. "Hey it was I who kept it busy while you are just reading a book," Alex complained. "Stop complaining," said Abby. Disappeared monster and a red light came. The red light lit one of the four candles on the altar. "Did you see that light orb did not work and water tornado worked?" asked Abby. "Yes, it has something to do with the elements," replied Alex. "We take water now," said Abby. She read something from the book and a water demon came out.

  • Author

They realized that to defeat the demons they had to use the power that was the exact opposite of their element. For the water demon they used the light orb, which was the fire spell. Abby said the words and the light orb eminated out from the book and hit the water demon. It faded away and another light was lit. The wind demon was next but Abby found a spell called Earth Quake and defeated it easily. The third light was lit. Last but not least, the Earth demon was next. This one was a bit tricky considering it kept throwing rocks but after a little bit of work, Abby was able to defeat it with Wind Star(which was the wind spell). Afterwards, the last light lit up and the second challenge was complete. There was a door that opened and as much as the friends wanted to stay put so that they would be safe, they had no choice but to move foward and go through the door. If not, they would never be able to leave this house.

The next room was full of weapons and there were three statues. "Finally a room for my taste," said Alex as he looked at the gleaming weapons. "Do not touch! Maybe they have something to do with the challenge," said Abby worried. Then they heard a voice. "This is your third challenge," said the voice. "What shall we do?" asked Abby. "All these weapons have different abilities you must find the right weapon to defeat the three living armours," said the voice, and disappeared. "Okay let's see here," said Alex excited. Alex found some weapons. "Take this you" he said and threw a spear at Abby. "What should I use this for? I have the book" asked Abby. "The voice said that we must use the weapons here," said Alex. Alex took out a sword that he used. "Are you ready?" asked Abby. "Yeah, come on!" Said Alex. Then Alex went to war against one of the armor, but armor blocked with his sword. "Try the spear!" shouted Alex. Abby ran to try to stab him, but broke his spear. "Dt was well wrong weapons try another," said Alex as he attacks the armor. Abby finds a bow and some arrows. "Move over Alex I'll shoot him!" cried Abby. Alex ran away and Abby shot. The arrow hit armor and it was deep frozen. "Attack it!" cried Abby. Alex ran over and attacked it with the sword that became a flame sword. Armor was destroyed and the other two attacked.

Now that they had the right weapons, they attacked the other two armors with confidence. Abby shot the bow and arrown at one of the armors but she missed. "Concentrate," Alex answered. "Just think if we don't get through this we're never going to get out of here!" "Geez, thanks for that...wonderful amount of pressure Alex," Abby answered as one of the armors swung his weapon at her. She ducked and avoided the impact and as the armor tried to bring his weapon back up, that gave Abby a clear shot of the armor. The arrow was released from the bow and it hit the armor dead center in the chest and he froze in an instant. Alex wasted no time in shattering the frozen armor into bits with his sword. There was only one armor left however this armor didn't take that long to defeat as Abby didn't waste anytime in shooting the arrow at him. It was a direct hit and the armor froze which made it easy for Alex to hit with his sword. The third challenge with conquered. That only left two challenged to remain.

A large door appeared. "Let's move," said Alex. Abby put down his bow and arrows. "Why don't you keep it?" asked Alex. "No I do not need it," said Abby. "I'll take with me the sword maybe it will be useful," said Alex. They opened the door and went inside. They ended up in a very large room with a grand staircase leading up into darkness. Then they heard something come down. It was the mysterious man, but something was different with him. "This time I will not fail!" he shouted furiously. He ran down the stairs ready to attack. "Here he comes get ready!" shouted Alex. The mysterious man took out the swords of darkness. "I'll try to stop him," said Abby. She used the orb of light, but he just disappeared. "Where did he go?" asked Abby. "Behind you Abby!" Alex yelled as he ran over to block the sword. The mysterious man tried to use the other sword, but Alex doll but got a cut on his face. Alex was paralyzed. "Now it's over," said the mysterious man. Suddenly there came a wind star through the air and hit the man. The man went straight into the wall, but he was not hurt at all and you could see his rage.

  • Author

Alex looked to where the wind star had come. It was from Abby. She had found another spell from the book. She flipped to another page and this time Abby found a higher powered fire spell. She said the words as best she could and the fire emanated into a hazardous flame. It hit the man and he fell to the floor. However this time he was hurt. "The fire," Alex replied still frozen. "That's what keeps him down!" Abby called out another fire spell and it hit the man again. This time he barely had the strength to get up. She called forth another fire spell once more and this time the man was hurt so badly that he didn't have the strength to continue. He then vansihed into the atmosphere. Just then Alex was unfrozen. It was as if there was a spell that had been broken.

Alex fell to the floor. "Are you okay?" spur Abby while she ran to him. Alex stood up. "Yes, I'm fine" he replied. They went up the stairs but could not see anything further up. "What do you think is up there?" asked Abby. "The final challenge," said Alex. "Why are you so calm? asked Abby. Alex stopped." Then the guy almost killed me, I was terrified I've never felt that way until some time and now I do not think that await us may be something worse," he said. Abby said nothing and began to walk again. When they were up there was a large door. "Are you ready" asked Abby. "As ready as I can be," replied Alex. The two friends opened the door. The room was a large throne room. Then suddenly everything went dark.

After a few moments, there was a ball of light. Alex and Abby edged closer towards it when Abby realized that it might be a trap and held Alex's back. "Wait," said. "what if this is a trap?" "Well," Alex replied. "I don't really see how there could be any other way out." Weither or not Abbey wanted Alex to move closer to the ball of light, Alex pressed on, coming closer and closer to the light. When all of a sudden, the light bursted into fire. Alex was thrown back. "Alex!" Abby cried. Then a huge; massive creature appeared out from the ball of fire.

  • 2 weeks later...

The creature was like a big dinosaur dog. The monster had a horn that looked like a dagger and big sharp claws. "What shall we do?" Abby asked, afraid. "Try to keep it busy while I find a weak point," said Alex. Abby ran a bit away and used the powerful flame spell. It did not matter, but the monster started to chase Abby. Alex jumped up on the back of the monster, when he noticed that the monster had a large eye on its back. Alex fell off the monster. "Abby! Monster has a large eye on its back," shouted Alex. "Distract the monster so that I can get on and stap it." The monster chased after Abby, while Alex ran towards the monster. Abby was surrounded by walls. "Come on Alex!" cried Abby. Alex ran and jumped on the monster. "Use the sword, Alex!" cried Abby. Alex hit the eye with the sword and the monster fell to the ground, but suddenly it began to transform itself.
