Roxas nearly screamed. This was not his Axel. His Axel was fun and sarcastic whilst this one was acting like a true Nobody. Like...like Saix or something. He pounded his fists lightly on Axel's chest, not content with not getting a reaction out of the red head.

"That's only because you won't and can't accept what you have! Why can't you see that all you need is right in front of you dammit?!" He knew he sounded selfish. But he didn't care.

Axel glared at him.

"Because I HAD everything! I had it all! That was what made me happy! It made me happy to that I built from the beginning! To have that torn down and never have it come back is sickening! I want what I had! It made me whole! Complete!"

At that, Roxas did something he would have never imagined doing. He took a step back, looking up at Axel defiantly before slapping him clear across the face.

"You idiot! If you think that just because I forgot a few things that I'm someone else entirely then you're wrong. I remember you being the first one I could trust when I first joined the Organization! I remember laughing with you and how you first kissed me on the forehead when I walked into a damn door. And dammit Axel, I remember the first time we made our Bond!" He yelled before shaking his head and stomping his foot before slumping to his knees.

"You stupid, stupid..."

Axel looked like he was just stabbed in the gut. He clutched his fists and starte to shake. He was furious...

It only took him a second to punch Roxas' left cheek.

He stood tall over Roxas and glared. "Don't try to force yourself into thinking you can hurt me. Physically or emotionally. I know how you work Roxas. Inside and out. I probably know you more than you know yourself." Axel said, kneeling over close to Roxas' face. His expression was blank again.

"But I don't know what you've become."

Roxas felt the skin of his cheek, flinching at how tender it already was. Probably red to. He looked up into Axel's stoic eyes and felt himself shiver. The once charming and welcoming green was now a poisonous threat. He swallowed, using the last of his courage to speak as he struggled to rise to his feet.

"And what about you? Do you even know who you've become just now?"

  • Author

Axel didn't even flinch at Roxas' words. "I know what I was, am, and will be." He stood again, arms drooping low, almost as if he was hunching over. " I am someone with no heart, no feeling. I can't feel for someone. Not even you. There is a word for me and it goes for you too."

"A true Nobody."

(God this is sad.)

(I agree. This is proven by the tears blurry my vision and making it hard to see what I'm typing ^^')

Roxas looked at him, feeling absoluetely, completely broken. He couldn't describe the hallow, empty feeling pouring onto him and making his stomach twist. All he knew was that tears would not stop coming and that he was taking small, involentary steps back, head shaking in disbelief.

"No...n-no...I...you even said th-that you..." He could bring himself to say it. Because it should have been clear.

Axel didn't love him.

Axel's gaze fell. He turned and grabbed the knob of his door. He turned to address Roxas one more time efore going into his own room and sleeping.

"Farewell, Number Thirteen."

Axel opened the door and walked in, slowly closing it shut.

He hurt Roxas. He hurt him bad.

Roxas watched as Axel turned to walk into his room.

"Farewell, Number Thirteen." Roxas couldn't help but cry a bit more before giving one clear response right before the red head's dor closed.

"I'm not one of you anymore."

Turning swiftly, Roxas headed back to his room, only to gather one last look before noting the 'Winner' popsicle stick on his dresser. Too late now ain't it...He thought bitterly, opening up a dark portal slowly.

Axel couldn't help the tears that slid off his cheeks. He had been a totally differet person. Not himself...

He couldn't help but let out whimpery gasps as the tears slid. He didn't want to do itt... But what choice did he have?

Break all ties. He must not be drawn to anyone or anything...

Xemnas' orders were completed.

(FUUU- So this is Xemnas' doing >8( ?! )

Roxas walked out of the Dark Corridor, ontothe damp streets of The World That Never Was. His feet splashed in countless pudles but he didn't care. Not even as his knees finaly gave out and he landed face first in a puddle. He continued to linger there, closing his eyes.

And everytime he did,he saw Axel.

  • Author

Axel now had no one. He was alone. He didn't know why Xemnas wanted it. All he said was that Roxas needed to be more focused on work and not Axel. Now he had not tie, no bond, no nothing.

Axel felt anger and sadness mixing inside him. He wanted to scream and pull all his hair out to ease the frustration...

"ROXAS!!! COME BACK!!!" he yelled in depair.

Roxas peeked open his eyes half-way before closing them again in a quick sneeze. He was being talked about or mentioned...something along those lines. Still, he allowed himself to stay on the ground, rain beginning to pour from the sky, soaking him al the way through. In this state he couldn't help but think of how it'd be so much easier to die here...But as well be dead. A life without his pyro was unbearable.

"Axel...don't let me go..."

  • Author

Axel gritted his teeth. He forced the tears back. He opened a Dark Corridor and ran through, not caring where it led. When the darkness cleared, he saw rain. Maybe he could just sit there and cry. No one would notice his tears.

He walked along, shedding his tears like his eyes were stuck that way...

Until he saw a figure on the floor.

Roxas pretended not to hear the footsteps drifting in his direction as he layed there, soaked to the bone. He didn't care if it was some god foresaken Heartless. Maybe if it fixed this he'd be okay....maybe if it cast him into the land of Darkness...he'd be better off. Besides, how was he supposed to know itvwas Axel, not a Heartless. Although...Roxas could be sure that they were in the same category of 'cruel'.

  • Author

Axel stopped, standing over the figure. His eyes widened in terror when he realized it was Roxas. Axel quickly changed his demeanor however. He couldn't let Roxas see his face. His face was solemn and his eyes dark.

"Get up, Roxas..."

Roxas felt his breath hitch as he heard Axel's voice break the soothing pattern of the rain. He sat up slowly, still looking down, not bothering to move the wet bangs out of his eyes.

"Why're you even here?"

  • Author

Axel looked down at him.

"It's careless of you to just leave yourself here. The rain could kill you. I came because I..." Axel couldn't think of a coldhearted response. The 'Nobosy' Response, he called it.

"I came because I had to make sure you were okay. Have you forgotten? Xemnas left you in my care."

Roxas resisted the urge to give out a snort but he allowed a small cold laugh. Did Axel forget already?

"Please, you sure weren't acting like that before. Besides, did you not hear what I said?" He asked coldly, standing at full height to glare at the red head.

"I don't want to be part of the Organization. I'm leaving."

  • Author

Axel tried not to scream at the blond. He kept a blank expression despite his sadness on the inside.

"Oh yeah? Why not? What else are you looking for? Where will you go? Who will take care of you?"

Axel didn't know why he was acting this way. Screw Xemnas. Axel could act however he wanted. But... He didn't. He knew Roxas would never forgive him...

Ever.

Roxas thought for a moment, his arms hanging loosely at his sides. He turned just slightly, looking back at Axel.

"I can take care of myself, I'm not entirely defenseless. I don't know where I'll go, but I'm leaving to find a place where I belong. The Organization means nothing to me." He clarrified, turning around as he began his walk away from the pyro.

  • Author

Axel paused.

"Nothing...huh?"

Axel couldn't hold back anymore. One last goodbye.

He ran up to Roxas and hugged him at the waist.

"I won't ask you to stay. I won't ask for you to forgive me. But I owe you information, something that I've kept from you. Ventus, why I went to Castle Oblivion, and why you are a Nobody..."

Roxas ave a small sound of surprise as he was hugged around the middle, being forced to stop his walk away from everything he ever cared for, everythinghe ever remembered to be his life....

"Axel..." He weakly turned around, unable to hold his angered mask up as he looked at Axel sadly. "You...you don't have to do that..."

  • Author

Axel held Roxas closer. He shook his head on Roxas' back.

"I do. I've been keeping secrets from you all because I was scared. I was a firetrucking coward..!! But no more. I don't care if I get turned into a Dusk. You have the right to know!"

Roxas blinked, lettig out a small gasp. It suddenly became clear as the pieces began to click together. Axel wasn't intending to hurt him. He was only trying to protect him.

"Axel...don't you dare." He loosened the red head's grip to face his body towards him, their noses barely brushing. "You can't die for the sake of me. I won't let you."
