I don't really have any rules, since language is totally variable. It makes the RP have more feeling.

 

TAKE IT AWAY Zexion/Ienzo!

Axel stared, wide eyed. He didnt expect Roxas to do it back. After all, Axel was just fooling.

He felt a blush grow on his cheecks and stomped away, hoping no one would see his flushed face.

Axel pushed through Demyx and Luxord conversing over something about why Demyx can't grow a beard.

"Later, Roxas." He said as he waved goodbye.

(Lol, if Demyx ever grew a beard...I might die )

 

Roxas was asleep before the words ever reached him.

 

?The Next Day?

 

Roxas was awake, the first rays of dawn peeking over the horizon curiously. It was clear he was tge first one up but he couldn't help it. He probably nevervwas much of a sleeper...The blond got up, stared blankly at the ground for a good 10 minutes, and then exited his room, walking aimlessly down the halls of the castle. Eventually, he just decided to lean lightly against one of the railings leading off to the outside exterior of the winding base. Now that he thought about it...where was he?

Axel continued his slumber. He tossed and turned, uncomfortable in his dream.

"V-Ven...tus.." He murmered.

"Ah!" He woke up in a cold sweat. His breathing was short and fast. Axel swallowed, wiping the sweat off his forehead...

"Another dream about him.." He said to himself.

Roxas sighed, letting his head fall back onto the cool metal of the railing. His blue eyes were shut in cautious thinking as he began to look back on what he could. For the first time, he remembered something. But that was the 'fun' him and Axel had. Anything past that, refused to show up. Shoulders slumped and now more unhappy than anything, Roxas headed in a random direction,having no idea where he was headed in the castle.

Axel got up and stretched. As much as he tried, he couldn't go back to sleep. That dream had bothered him too much...

He sighed and started to walk to the door. As he was reaching for the knob, he stopped himself.

"Hmph...What would Roxas know about this?" He asked sarcastically.

He walked beck to the other side of the room and looked out the window.

Roxas eventually found himself in a familiar hallway. You see, the base is split between the members depending what number you are. Everyone with an even number is in the East Wing, everyone with an odd is in the West. So when Roxas examined more closely, he found himself to be in the East Wing, not the West. What's better, he was in front of Axel's room. For a moment, he hesitated and decided not to knock, instead settling to lean against the wall until he came out so he could greet him. He wasn't even sure what he'd say to him. Sorry for waking you up? No, it'd be best to wait...Roxas thought, yawning silently.

Axel's thoughts buzzed about all around him. He thought about Ven and then Roxas asking himself,

"He really doesn't remember?"

At last, he got an idea. He could tell Roxas his Somebody name, if it would bring back his memories. But... what if it didnt? What if it made things worse? It'd probably hurt Roxas to remember.

He snarled and ran to the door. He turned the knob and found a familiar figure leaned against the door.

"Uhm... Hey?"

Roxas glanced up at the red-head as he suddenly emerged from his room. The blond was quiet, looking at him curiously.

"Good morning Axel." He finally said, breaking the silence as he thought of how Demyx had greeted him the other day. Roxas pushed off the wall and greeted Axel with a yawn.

"Uhm...Okay?" Axel muttered, raising an eyebrow. He put a palm to Roxas' head and kneeled down to his level. He gave him an annoyed look.

"You didn't sleep much did you? You look horrible." He examined Roxas' eyes closely. They still looked hazy.

His face transformed from annoyance to worry.

"Take better care of yourself..."

Roxas pulled back a bit, pressed against the wall as Axel's palm now just skimmed his forhead. He didn't get it...he was a nuisence on Axel, having him forced to be his "babysitter" and all. The red-head never made any sense in his actions. Blue eyes closed and then opened again, a little hesitant to let the light from the halls back in.

"Why?"

The question made Axel's eyes grow wide. His lips curved slightly as he poked Roxas' forehead gently. He placed his palm back on the blondes head and ruffled his hair a little.

"Because if something happened..."

Axel got up out of Roxas' face and leaned on the wall across from him. He closed his eyes and laughed a little.

"I'd miss you too much."

At that, Roxas couldn't help but lean into the touch, closing his eyes as well.

"Miss me, huh? I find it hard to believe actually." And in those words, dare I say it, there was actually sarcasm. A small smile had even etched itself onto Roxas' porcelain lips.

"Complex sentences Roxas? Finally grow a brain? Now all you need is a heart!" Axel joked. He laughed and sighed deeply.

"Well..." Axel, closed his eyes, "I guess you can't miss someone without one of those...A heart, I mean..."

He furrowed his eyebrows and crossed his arms. "But... there'd be something missing. Y'know?"

Roxas looked over at the red-head carefully before nodding.

"Yeah...I think so." The blond stretched, feeling just a bit more whole for some reason. Maybe it was because he felt like he and Axel had connected. Or it could be the fake feeling he suddenly got.

"Hey! I've gad a brain smart-aleck!" He said, a hand on his hip as he flicked Axel's cheek.

Axel flinched and shut his eyes. He scoffed and smirked.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I meant one that you can actually USE!" He laughed and ruffled Roxas' head hard, gesturing his statement. Inside, however, Axel was very pensive.

Why was he laughing?

Why was he... feeling..?

Roxas rolled his eyes, rubbing his head with his hand to ease the slight pain.

"You're so mean..." He mumbled, closing one eye in fake pretend. The blond himself was wondering the same as Axel. But he didn't mind it. He was glad to be feeling anything.

Axel saw Roxas' expression and smiled.

He didn't care if he doesn't have a heart.

He knew the feeling was real.

Something popped into Axel's head. It was a surprise he didn't ask before.

"Why were you up so early?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

Roxas flattened out his hair and looked over at Axel, this time with both eyes open and processed his question. Why had he been up...? Oh. That's right.

"I...didn't sleep last night so I finally just wandered around the castle." The blond explained, realizing that he was just feeling restless really from Axel's question.

Axel's eyebrows furrowed.

"Oh, mmkay." he sighed. He slumped agains the wall and sat. Looking up at the ceiling, he felt a wierd sensation in his chest. But as soon as it appeared, it faded.

Axel just smirked but said nothing.

(Lol, you should give them a listen. Especially cause I'm going to AnimeNEXT this year -it's a convention in NJ- and I'm cosplaying as Len )

 

 

Roxas slid down to sit next to the red-head, srcutinizing his smirk. He liked the way it looked on him. Even if he was a Nobody, the smirk and playful grins suited him. Though Roxas would never say that outloud of course.

"What about you? You're up pretty early to." Roxas questioned.

Axel's smirk slid off like oil.

"I-I can't tell you that."

He stood up and patted Roxas' head. The redhead wondered so many things.

Should he tell him? Could it hurt him? No...he shouldn't tell..

"Later, Roxas." He muttered as he walked away.

Roxas didn't like Axel's sudden expression change. And he didn't like how Axel was keeping something from him. No, Roxas didn't like it at all. It made him frown and his eyes to follow Axel sadly. Sadly...no, it had to be an imitation of sadness is all...The blond stayed where he was, curling his knees to his chest.

"But...I wanna' know." He mumbled to himself, resting his chin behind his knees.

Axel felt a choking sensation in his chest. What was that feeling...? He tried to remember...

Pain..?

He sighed and walked back to Roxas curled up on the floor. He lifted his head with his finger

gently and, when he was and inch away from Roxas' blue eyes, he whispered,

"I'm fine...Don't worry about it."

Roxas felt himself blush slightly as a gentle warmth spread across his cheeks. Chills went up and down his spine as he felt the touch of Axel's finger and he couldn't help but look right back into Axel's emerald green eyes. He...was so close. He was really close. And yet Roxas managed to snap back just slighly at him.

"That's your excuse for everything isn't it?" Roxas questioned bravely.

"You told me that last night too at the clocktower after I asked if it was a bad thing I had no memories. 'It's fine Roxas, don't worry about it.'..." The blond quoted, trying to make his point bluntly. "You're lying to me." He accused chidishly, pouting and crossing his arms as he sat cross-legged.

Axel blinked twice. He wasn't expectig that response. Let alone a comeback.

"It just- It's better if you don't know. You'll have less problems. I can figure this on my own..."

He looked back to Roxas' pout.

"And dont pull that face." Axel put his palm to Roxas' forehead.

"It makes you look spoiled." he said, smirking.
