The cirumstances tear me apart

For she stands beside with a smile of victory

I wonder if she knows what she's taken from me?

And he watches me dearly and wonders what's wrong

And I wonder if I knew in my mind all along

That a first love always lingers close

I just thought I'd've been the one he'd've chose.
