I'm trying to get caught up on the story in X and Unchained and I just want some clarification.  Where exactly do the Keyblade War, X-Blade, Dandelions and Unions, and Princesses of Heart all fit in together?   I'm mainly concerned with what role the Princesses have and are serving currently.  Kairi's grandmother's story states that when the previous universe was destroyed in the Keyblade War, it was the light in the hearts of children that rebuilt the universe into the different worlds we see now.  Until the release of X and Unchained, I had always assumed these children were the 7 hearts of pure light (Princesses or Princes) at the time, but I'm seeing a lot of you guys stating on these forums that the Dandelion keyblade wielders are these children that will restore the Universe, therefore not the 7.  I do remember that the 7 pieces of light from the X-Blade make up the Princesses hearts, but any other ideas or info I overlooked?

Sorry, I know this is a lengthy post.

That's kind of the hook that keeps the game's plot going. Obviously the adventures these Keyblade wielders take are completely asynchronous to the timeline we've experienced in the main games. So why is it like that? Were the worlds reborn, is there some sort of reincarnation? It's sort of TBD, although some of the various theories floating around are probably pretty close to the truth.

Of course, this plot is subject to retcon but I'll break down the essentials. The Princess of Hearts are women with pure light. They have no trace of Darkness in their heart, and must be protected whatever the incarnation. Because the Princess of Heart are of pure light, the Heartless are more likely to draw to them.

Now the interesting part is the light of "children". Of course, we were all under the assumption that it was The Princess of Hearts that rebuilt the worlds, however, evidence may point Ephemer, Skuld, Ventus, Blaine and ??? were the ones that rebuilt the world. The first evidence is the end of the Keyblade War in which Ephemer and Skuld are presented in such a way that they radiate the light. Another piece of evidence pointing to this is their purpose. They're being sent to a new world that does not have any "tragedy". By definition, the Unchained realm is the worlds "rebuilt" from dream, so that could fit the new Union leader's description.

Of course, this is all theory and should not be considered as fact until proven otherwise, but it's a helpful means of better understanding the Age of Fairy Tales.
