Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku turned his head, looking over to his companion. Lightning was a step away, and he let someone else pass before he got close to her again. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders, seeing that she appeared not only lost in thought, but tense as well. "Hey," he called softly. He could tell she was thinking about something, but for right now, she could let it go. They were supposed to have fun today.

Light blinked at the call and the arm around her shoulders, her gaze going up to Riku. Oh, right. "What do you want to do now?" she asked, speaking before he could ask if she was alright. She had to get Fang and Vanille off her mind now; she had a feeling they weren't upset with their fate even if she was. It was best for her to let go and focus on her present time here, with Riku.
Riku shrugged a little, ignoring the fact that Lightning avoided an obviously touchy conversation. "I dunno. I never looked into pamphlets," he said, his eyes finding the people dispersing and going their separate ways. He hadn't read a thing about Nautilus; he just took Serah's word.

Lightning forced a small smirk. "I'm surprised you didn't do more research," she stated, lightly elbowing Riku's side with an arm that was still folded over her chest. Riku brought her here as a date, but he must not have thought through much more than that since he didn't have a clue what to do here. Guess it's up to me to pick what to do.
Riku released a small "hmph", letting his gaze fall back on the person he loved. He could see through that smirk, highly observant as he usually was. But he wasn't going to bring anything up, not now. "Hey, I did this for you," he pointed out, his arm still around her shoulders. "What do you want to do?" He lifted an eyebrow, curious. Tonight was just for her, so whatever Lightning wanted to do, they would.

Light just rolled her eyes. "Guess I'll let you see your first chocobo, then we'll go to the amusement park." She wasn't big on them, though. But if Riku did like that kind of stuff, then she'd go through it for him. Just because she didn't like thrills and rides didn't mean that he couldn't enjoy them.
Riku smiled ever so slightly, lifting his hand from Lightning's shoulders and instead messing up her hair. "Lead the way, captain," he said, lowering his hand. He didn't exactly know his way around, and he guessed he should have since this was his idea. Next time, I'll make sure I know everything, he thought. Lightning deserved the best from him.

"Captain" Lightning hmphed, smirking for real this time. She unfolded her arms and lightly hit Riku on his arm before she turned and started towards the exit. He was a goof sometimes, but it was rare that he actually ruffled her hair. He was more...playful, than goofy, if there was a difference between those. There was in her eyes, at least.
The only reaction Riku had from the hit was a crooked smile, the boy then following after Lightning. He made sure to stay close because of the crowds, not that he would exactly get lost. He knew his way around most places, and if he didn't, he figured it out.

Light glanced around the area, and though she didn't remember where she was going, she trusted her gut. She saw two pods up ahead, one of them leading back to the main part of the mall and one to another place. It has to be the chocobo farm, she thought. The entrance to the amusement park was back where they had watched the parade. She and Riku got into the pod and reached the other area within a few minutes, the soldier stepping out and seeing the green grassy area. And smelling the chocobos.
Riku stepped out behind Lightning, and once he did, his eyebrows furrowed. "Whoa...that reeks," he said, looking around. He saw animals that looked a lot like birds, tall and with yellow feathers. Those must be the chocobos.

Lightning looked over, her expression showing amusement at Riku's disgusted expression. "The sweet smell of chocobo," she said with a small smirk, jerking her head over towards the group standing a few yards away. She remembered that Sazh had a chocobo chick living in his hair a long time ago, but that was different. It was just a chick, and Light was sure the chick did its business outside of the afro.
"Yeah," Riku said, rolling his eyes. "Sweet." He glanced at Lightning before he took the lead, walking forward to pass a group of kids checking out a chocobo. He would ignore the smell for now, until he got so used to it that he didn't smell it at all. He had enough practice with that because of the Darkness.

Light walked a step behind Riku, looking around the area that she had never actually visited before. She wasn't big on chocobos. "What'd you expect a chocobo to look like?" she asked out of curiosity. He had obviously never seen one before, and she hadn't given him any description of them. What did he expect them to look like before he saw them?
Riku continued walking, his eyes darting around the area. "I expected something 'cuter'..." he said, passing by a chocobo that was nearly as tall as him. "And smaller." He knew Kairi would adore these things if she saw them, but Riku was different. He really didn't know what to think.

Light slowed her steps when a chocobo suddenly cut between her and Riku, though the animal actually stopped there. He lightly pecked at Riku's shoulder, as if he understood the insult that they were supposed to be more cute. From what she knew, Light believed chocobos were supposed to be fairly intelligent.
Riku felt a pinch against his shoulder and turned around. He blinked when he saw a chocobo staring at him, the boy lifting an eyebrow. "You're kidding, right?" he asked aloud. The bird seriously just bit him?

Lightning stepped forward, waving the chocobo away as she stood closer to Riku. "Best not to insult the chocobos," she recommended, seeing the animal run off. "They're pretty smart." And they were sassy too, like the one who just took a nibble at Riku's shoulder because of the insult. They could be pretty silly.
"I'll keep that in mind," Riku said, watching the chocobo run off before he lifted a hand to scratch his cheek. It sounded silly, but he had a feeling he would get a beating from one of those if he was too harsh. Best to keep my thoughts to myself then.

Light smirked faintly. "If you can find a chocobo that likes you, go ahead and pet it," she said. That was the whole point of this area. Most of the time, chocobos were meant for riding, but not these guys. They were just here for people to pet and watch.
Riku glanced at Lightning before he looked around. So this was a petting zoo... He should have figured as much, given the surroundings and calm aura. Well, it wouldn't be calm if he stirred up some kind of trouble. The young man decided there was enough standing around, heading farther into the petting zoo.

Lightning watched Riku go, staying where she was. She knew that it was best not to approach the chocobos in a crowd, unless you were kids. The animals didn't trust adults as much, since they could potentially be a threat. Surprising how much I know about them even if I don't like them, she mused silently. But then again, she was required to be knowledgeable about everything to be in the Corps.
Riku could feel Lightning's gaze on his back, but he didn't hear her footsteps. He didn't know what she was doing, but he did stop a few yards ahead and look around. There were some kids around a group, though there were a few on their own. Hm.

Lightning folded her arms over her chest, arching a brow at how Riku didn't keep going forward. What're you waiting for? He wasn't scared of the chocobos, was he? She shook her head faintly, chasing off that thought. She silently encouraged him to go forward, wondering how he would react to facing the animals alone.
Riku caught sight of a chocobo that was alone, so he decided it was worth a shot. He started toward it, and when he was close, he slowed his steps that way he didn't startle it. It was eating before, but when it sensed his presence, it lifted its head so its dark eyes were resting on him. Riku's eyes narrowed slightly in wonder as the chocobo tilted its head. He lifted a hand toward it slowly, and the bird leaned forward to examine it. Riku pulled his hand quickly away, however, when the bird nipped at it. He waved his hand back and forth to fight off the sting, already knowing there was blood. Great.
