Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

"Maybe," Riku said, a devious smirk forming. Light would just have to wait and see. Besides, she knew how much of an appetite he had; he could eat a lot before he got too full. He had a feeling he could finish his dinner tonight.

Lightning smirked. "Well then, I'm ruining your plan," she said. "'Cause I'm taking at least one roll." It wasn't that big of a deal, since there were six of them in a basket. And I wouldn't be surprised if the waitress throws in a few extra, she thought, fighting the urge to show disgust at that. She needed to stop being so jealous; there was nothing that would take Riku away from her tonight.
Riku gave Lightning a look. "Yeah, you can try," he said, his arms crossing over his chest. "I don't think I'll give those up so willingly." He loved rolls, and from the advertisements for this restaurant, they were delicious. He was going to find out, whenever his food was finished.

"I bet I can get away with taking two, then," Lightning said, still smirking confidently. She could be pretty slick, and besides, Riku wasn't going to cause a scene while they were out in public. The baskets were pretty full, and so were the plates, so if she couldn't finish her meal, she would give Riku spaghetti to make up for her stealing the bread.
Riku's expression remained as he leaned forward, setting his elbows on the table, his hands clasping in front of him. "You're something else," he thought aloud, though he said it lovingly. He loved her, after all. Lightning was amazing, in more ways than one. Sometimes they had their differences, especially about their future, but they got along well. It worked out.

Light hummed, lifting her glass and taking a few sips of water to hide her shyness. She knew that Riku meant it as a compliment, and she would take it as such instead of over-analyzing and putting her own twist on things. She was something else...unique. And she had to believe that was a good thing, because if she wasn't unique, Riku wouldn't have taken an interest in her.
Riku kept his eyes on Lightning, unaware of a stare on him from across the restaurant. He never did pay much attention to girls, and when he least expected it, Lightning came into the picture. And now that he had her, he didn't pay attention to any other girl out there. From what she said earlier, however, they paid plenty attention to him. A smile formed on his face as a thought passed through his head, his aqua eyes on the pale blue he loved. The only girl I want staring at me is Claire.

Lightning lowered her glass, catching Riku smiling randomly while looking at her. "What're you smiling about?" she asked with an arched brow, smirking a little as her shyness wore off. She never did cling to the emotion, not because she was used to it enough she could ignore it, but because she could ignore her emotions in general if she so chose. She was a soldier at heart, after all.
"The person I'm looking at," Riku said without missing a beat. He could be honest with Lightning, since their relationship was open and truthful. He didn't hide anything from her, so he certainly hoped she wasn't hiding anything from him.

Lightning blinked at the comment, lowering her gaze to the glass. But a second after that, she looked back up at Riku and smiled faintly in recognition and appreciation. But you know, your boldness has a habit of catching me off guard, she thought silently. She didn't like being caught off guard, but she couldn't blame Riku for speaking the way he did. They did love each other, after all, so they had a reason to be open, honest and...affectionate. A part of her would always be getting used to that idea.
Riku caught the look Lightning was giving him now, which made him respond to her gaze similar to how she reacted to his. "Now what are you smiling about?" he asked softly, his smile turning into a smirk. What are you thinking?

"The person I'm looking at," Light responded with a small smirk, her voice soft as she gave Riku the same response he gave her. She was smiling about him, because he was the best thing that ever happened to her. She not only owed him for saving her life countless times, but for giving her a reason to live other than fighting. She had a reason to open her heart again thanks to him.
Riku shook his head, but not at anything in particular. Light... She really was something. He could sometimes figure her out, but the parts he still didn't know, he had all the time in the world to uncover. Hopefully the rest of his life. He still wanted to make that commitment.

Light still smiled, lifting a hand and tucking back some of her soft pink hair. This was strange...she felt...normal. Like a normal twenty-two year old out on a date with the man that she loved. She thought she could never feel normal or keep a smile on her face for more than a few seconds, but here she was, smiling at Riku and not feeling like a soldier for once. Today's turning out to be a good day after all.
"I love you," Riku said softly, his smile turning gentle. The words left his lips as he thought them, but that was perfectly okay. He meant what he said, and he would mean it until the day he died. It was just the way things were going to be, at least on his side of the relationship.

"Love you too," Light said softly, reaching a hand across the small table and setting her hand on top of Riku's. Her eyes followed the motion so she wouldn't accidently spill a drink, not that she was that clumsy in the first place. She squeezed Riku's hands lightly and lifted her eyes again, seeing the aqua ones that she loved.
Riku turned his hand over to hold Lightning's as well, his other hand sitting on the table. He ran his thumb over the skin of her hand, though his eyes never left hers. He didn't care that the food wasn't here yet; if it came, he wouldn't be able to do this.

"I love you even if chocobos don't," Lightning said sweetly, a taunting smirk appearing on her lips as Riku ran his thumb over her hand. Looking back, now she found the whole thing pretty amusing. Riku's first encounter with a chocobo wasn't exactly great, but at least she could laugh about it now. It was pretty funny.
"I dunno," Riku said, his smile softening as he thought back to Nautilus. "I think that last one was warming up to me." But then they had to leave, so he never got to find out for sure. If it saved him from another bite, he was happy about it, of course. He didn't want to go through something like that again.

Lightning rolled her eyes. "Sweetie, she was just going to pick your pockets to look for food," she said with a lingering smirk, though she was surprised at the name that left her lips. It was the first pet name she had used for Riku as far as she could remember, and it wasn't the most original one out there. But whatever. It had just slipped, so...
Riku's smile turned crooked at the name, the young man squeezing Lightning's hand before he continued to run his thumb over her skin. "At least give me a little credit," he said. "I didn't exactly run away scared." He was sure that if Roxas or Sora were to encounter a chocobo that bit them, they wouldn't go near another. He stood his ground...or maybe he wasn't giving Sora and Roxas enough credit...

"No, you didn't," Lightning agreed. "But you stayed standing right by the animal that bit you until I had you take a few steps away." She smirked, knowing that she had him there. He hadn't thought of moving away from the animal that had bitten him, but he was probably just surprised he was bitten in the first place. She'd cut him some slack.
Riku looked to his injured hand, his eyebrows furrowing as his smile vanished. "I was ticked. Can you blame me?" he asked then, thinking of being bitten. It hurt, but he was more aggravated about it than anything. He was just trying to pet a stinking chocobo, and it bit him! That wasn't exactly the welcome wagon he was hoping for from an animal.

Lightning laughed, squeezing Riku's hands as she was unaware of the waitress coming with Riku's bread. "I can't blame you for being ticked, but I can blame you for not being street smart. Who approaches an animal when they're eating in the first place?" she asked with an arched brow. That just wasn't a smart move, no matter how you looked at it.

Ella approached the table with a basket of rolls and some butter, coming just in time to see the hunk with the silver hair roll his eyes and grumble something. It was adorable, and she fought the urge to say something to him right then. For now, she had to act professional. "Here are your dinner rolls," she said with a sweet smile, her eyes focusing only on Riku for right now. She set them down next to his hand that was empty, since the other was holding his date's hand. That was obviously something she didn't want to see, but she would deal with it.

Riku looked up just in time to catch sight of Ella's eyes, and he nodded to her with a crooked smile. "Thanks," he said. He would dig into them in a second, since he was pretty hungry. But he was in the middle of a conversation with Lightning, so it would have to wait.

"Do you need anything? A refill?" Ella asked, continuing to focus only on the boy in front of her. She tried her hardest to keep looking at his pretty eyes, but it was hard. He seemed so bold, tough. She liked that.

"Nope. We're good," Riku said with a small shake of his head, speaking for both himself and Lightning. Neither of them had really touched their drinks, since they were so busy talking. He glanced at Lightning before his gaze went back to the waitress, her eyes resting on him for another second as she nodded and then left. His eyes followed her, seeing her ponytail swing with every step. His aqua eyes then went back to the woman he loved. "Where were we?"
